in honor of murderbot threatening gurathin in this week's episode here's my favorite gurathin moment in book 6, which i just read a couple days ago
#when i was in college my last shared room roommate was this really shy and quiet girl who was into some of the same nerdy stuff i liked#and i got really excited that we would be close but then something about how we were both pretty reclusive#meant that we hardly ever even talked and all the little things she did started to bug the hell out of me#and it was such a textbook example of 'oh if youre TOO similar to someone youre not going to be able to STAND each other'#so all im trying to say is that 'how did that project you wanted my help with go' is just another way of checking if someones ok#(honestly this was a cute little character moment for all the humans involved#they all want to know if secunit is ok but mensah's going to give it some space and a sense of order/routine#ratthi is just going to be direct about it lol#and gurathin is going to deflect into something practical)#murderbot diaries
