#why are they so in sync??? #it’s hypnotic to watch #they really do just operate on the same wavelengths more often than not #they actually have multiple scenes where they demonstrate synchronized movement #and I have to wonder if that was intentionally done by Shatner and Nimoy #or if it just came naturally #bc I doubt the script or director would have asked for that (via @alderaan-babe)

Right? They do it all the time—like the away team scenes where the team is sent in different directions except Spock, and the two of them stride off in sync with their shoulders brushing like bonded cats. And there's stuff like this little synchronized pivot at the end of (of course) "Amok Time":

The "on the same wavelength to an inimitable and nearly incomprehensible degree to other characters" dynamic is reinforced so much by the physical mannerisms of their entire bodies, not just faces and vocal performance. It's part of what really makes the ship to me.

(Despite all the Vulcan vs human mannerisms and complications, I really do feel that beneath the surface, Kirk/Spock is much more of a "birds of a feather" pairing than an "opposites attract" one.)
