Tbh my hair ain’t turn out bad.

Got an odd little patch- as is the norm for me I fear- that didn’t quite get truly saturated but I’m tellin myself that despite bein at the front it ain’t that noticeable.

Not the “soaked in blood” red I was goin for, but I think it’s a decent “blood red” (so, while the goal was basically ‘showered in blood’ w that “wet dark” vibe, instead I got ‘is blood’ in the sense of just… color picked blood. If that makes sense??) which is close enough for an attempt w the wrong “main” color (gotta read shit more carefully)

Downside is- I smell like fuckin cherries w a hint of strawberry, mint, & then a tiny bit of general ‘fruity’ if you sniff real hard.

Chenqing (and Jiang Cheng) based off of John Singer Sargent’s Madam Paul Escudier (Louise Lefrvre). Same universe as Sect Leader J since I reused the table. I actually saw the original in person a while ago but only recently found it again, and really wanted to make a piece inspired by it.

This piece is dark like a poorly lit gritty movie so I suggest saving this to view when brightness is high and night shift is off on your device!

I don’t usually spend much time on the underpainting but since this piece is very much centered on the values rather than color I really wanted to get that all sorted. So the bonus today is the underpainting!

i think my favorite kind of amv makers are the ones who make animatics for like. prestige shows and classical literature and stuff. there's something so absurdly charming about seeing those ostensibly serious lauded titans of pop culture being turned into little cartoon drawings and set to a marina and the diamonds song or something.

so the evanuris/blight situation is that: solas managed to, at the height of his power + with all his ancient elf besties helping, seal them into the black city and make the veil. and this took so much out of him that he was basically comatose for 5000 years. ok fine.

but then in vg, his initial plan was to put them in a different jail, while the veil is still up (despite that weakening all magic significantly and making it difficult to even access the black city). and then he wants to tear down the veil afterwards, presumably expecting to still be awake to do so. despite not having his original orb or his ancient elf besties anymore? so it doesn't particularly make sense in general. similar to how he described what he wanted to do with the orb, you'd expect him to take out the veil first and then reseal/move the jail?

(and then he wanted to put them into a Regret Prison when he is the ONLY one out of that entire situation who feels any regrets... 😭)

then his more ambiguous-sounding veil removal motives of being depressed about elves/spirits and unable to see the modern world as worthy of existence... become almost irrelevant. bc it's kind of necessary for him to Do Something? or else everyone fully dies of turbo blight when the archdemons die and the black city inevitably opens?

but then no one really mentions the looming catastrophe of the blight part, and they handwave it at the end, and all act like he's being very unreasonable. which he is! but only bc they made him dumber than a rock and weirdly inconsistent in his capabilities, not bc his motivations were actually proven to be wrong. aaaaa.

hmmm this is tough.......i guess i wont say NEVER, but also...probably not?😫 i wrote an ominis x f!mc oneshot that was a nameless mc, but that's cause i dont really ship ominis with any specific mc, whereas with seb, i ship him with clora. so if i WERE to get ideas for oneshots, id probably always do it with him and clora just bc thats where my motivation to write/draw comes from first and foremost... and even if i were to do a oneshot where seb went to azkaban and escaped, id probs still make it about him and clora BAHAHA but just an AU timeline. still, i guess id never say never🤔 i DID have fun writing that ominis oneshot after all, and its a fun challenge to just do she/her, like @myokk just recently did in her most recent oneshot. like even tho myokk did she/her, she still wrote it with eloise in mind and still imagined it as eloise the whole time (which i also did bc of it LOL) and the fanart she did for it was still seb/eloise bahaha. SO YEAH even tho the answer is PROBABLY not for me, its also not impossible and id do the same thing myokk did😇🙏

My slightly off-kilter take on domino squad that no one asked for: The last domino did fall, because Echo wasn’t the last domino at the time.

Fives was.

Five dominos all in a row, one death leading into another, and another, and another, until we reach the fifth and the last in Fives. And as that last domino falls, he kicks off a chain of events that are still rolling forward. He doesn’t stop order 66, but something changes.

Rex isn’t the same afterwards. After Fives’s death is when he starts trying to claw something back from the war. It’s what pushes him to seek out and save Echo when he starts to suspect Echo might be out there. It’s what gives him a moment to warn Ahsoka and save her, and ultimately saves him, too. He’s making connections with former outlaws, fugitive clones, and disaffected senators to build something I still don’t think we’ve seen the end of—and which I think we will see, even if we’re not necessarily seeing it next, though I suspect there will be some crossover set up even in the Maul show. He’s lighting a fire with the spark Fives kicked up. And off in the future he’s going to live long enough to fight at Endor and see the Empire fall.

All because the last domino fought so hard to reveal the truth before he died.

Also for those of you like me who never really bothered to learn how a cardinal even becomes a cardinal —

I’m not saying this is what happens in the Church of Ghost because between the papal dynasty and the fact the most powerful role is held by a woman, there is clearly not a one-to-one reflection of Catholicism. If anything, Catholicism is used predominantly for aesthetic and title structures.

But assuming cardinal-electing is still done by the pope here…

I actually do have, like, two theories as to why this might’ve happened:

A) Nihil is not as involved in the process of selecting cardinals as the catholic pope is in selecting his. I dunno if this involves stamping a sigil on a document or what but I could easily imagine that, if it did, someone (probably a ghoul under Sister’s orders) slid the paper in front of him while he was watching TV. He slammed a rubber stamp of his signature on it during commercial break and told them to leave, “Raymond” was on.

B) Like always: Sister pulled some strings. And by that, she just “asked” Nihil to consider looking into Archbishop Copia and he, in a delusional and horny stupor, totally did it without actually looking into whom he was bumping up. All he knows is that Sister mentioned the dude, and surely anything from Sister is good, right? …And then he met the guy.

I actually think this one might have some legs because Nihil clearly does have an awareness of who Copia is. You could argue that this is because, as I said, the pope picks the cardinals, but I feel like Nihil wouldn’t really care to memorize every single one of them, even if their job is to advise him. We don’t know what kind of Papa he was but we do know that, as a person (at least while alive), he was more obsessed with his failed life and Sister. If it didn’t concern those things, he didn’t seem interested.

Copia very likely has been put in his ear by Sister since before Day 1 but didn’t form his own opinion about him until it was too late.

I’m not saying Cardi didn’t earn the position. I just think it’s funny that regardless of how he got it, Nihil had to have played a part in it and he is filled with so many regerts.

AYO! i just had a idea for twisted caretaker AU. while im not sure i think cosmo in the main AU is a twisted or healed twisted (do correct me if i am wrong) but would it be a neat if there roles are reverse? like its Cosmo who is fine and its sprout who is the twisted?

This is such a cool idea, like, genuinely really really fricking cool, I would've never thought of such a plot twist.

Especially since originally I was like "everyone twisted except for the clones Dandy makes to keep himself sane", but what if- there was no twisted Cosmo? They just think they haven't seen him yet, but in reality- he's dressed like one of the clones. He's disguised. He's sneaking around behind the scenes and taking care of Sprout without even Dandy knowing (because he's a bit oblivious sometimes lol) and one day- during one of their usual visits, Gi finds out about this.

Huge win for everyone, right? We get more Fruitcake, more Sam content and we get an interesting insight into how it feels to be around the twisteds. Not only that- but- it would make such an interesting plot twist.
