So thx to slight (fucking major) communication issues my new dnd campaign was supposed to start sooner rather than later. Or to put it bluntly; I had less than 24h to create my new character. Only to be told that one guy won't make it so it's been postponed again. So we played a oneshot that may or may not turn into a different campaign now cuz the two guys were rly into it. Either way here's what I got so far for the campaign we originally wanted to play;

Definitely not a szarkai whisper bard. They’re a regular ass high elf and swords bard and not at all being hunted down by a noble drow house cuz they deserted. Also that blindfold? Completely unrelated to some 'peculiarities' of theirs. I promise.

I'm never gonna get over the dorky charisma casters and my issue of bending 'lawful' in ways the creators did not anticipate.

#as for my oneshot character #its my durge but worse #a lot worse #their name is kyl.#theyre a shadow sorc #when the knight of the group asked them to cast prestidigitation they agreed #under the condition that be pays them 10 gold #it was well etablished that the knight has only 4 gold #and that he refuses to take out any money in the slums they're currently in #so no spell was cast #and the group continued onward #with everyone soaked in mud except for kyl #cuz the warlock was pushed through a portal #goes without saying it was kyl who pushed him #and landed face first in a mud puddle #but the worst part of it all is that kyl is still the most innocent person here #cuz the warlock tried (and failed) to push a kid #and the knight offered an old lady a poisoned potato #all kyl did was sign an obvious warlock pact with the warlocks name #kyl is also the only person here capable of reading the map #but refused to go first #soooooo there was a lot of wandering and someone exploded #the explosion wasn't kyl fault - to be clear #the npc was bitten by an explosive rat cuz what do you expect in an isekai campaign #i should maybe add the warlock was played by my brother #and it took the table only 10 minutes to absolutely derail the dms plans #i should rly sketch some of the shit that happened #who knew playing with perfect strangers could be such a fun experience #dnd oc
