i am very very lucky to receive some very nice comments and especially to have coco @cosettepontmercys who not only reads everything i write (usually in a thousand snippet fragments before anything is edited or posted) but who always has the kindest things to say and even has annotated some of my fics, which always makes me cry 🥺 i am really just so so so lucky because while i can be hard on myself a lot and so having encouraging feedback not only lifts me up but also makes me more confident which in turn makes me a better writer (i'd like to think).
56. What’s something about your writing that you pride yourself on?
okay this is going to sound like i'm running out of nice things to say about myself and i promise that's not the case but honestly i'm proud that i get writing done like... at all. like it's hard and i bitch about it the whole time but just the idea that i'm writing something and editing it and putting it on the internet where strangers can read it and say anything they want is kinda scary so i'm proud that i do it at all!
71. When it comes to more complicated narratives, how do you keep track of outlines, characters, development, timeline, ect.?
short answer: i have a notion page.
long answer: okay so for deep end i've got 3 documents: my notion page and two google docs. my notion page is where i am zero drafting in chronological order and also where i keep all my extra info: character's jobs, where they live, chapter titles, random motifs and stories and stuff that i wanna work in, karaoke songs, etc. then there is my first google doc which is mostly where i write the out-of-order bits that come to me when i should be writing chronologically. and then there is the actual First Draft where i like. actually write and format and all that not so fun stuff. my notion page is really my headquarters though i would die without her...

I'd be surprised and quite unable to express it via words haha. It kinda happened before! @neorukixart drew a scene of my Maki-Bakumon drabble called "Gone." It caught me off guard because i'm not sure if i deserve those kinds of things, but i'm very very happy when peeps draw stuff for those thingies! She also drew my dropped-story Agent Daigo too ;v; (i kinda brought him back in a doodle too, my smelly dummy "coping mechanism" -- she drew a new version of it, with her own idea of Maki being an Agent too lol)
Also @citrus-cactus drew Tortiemon's Mikanmon form based on my epiphany of a third Lop-Terrier sibling too ;v; (might not be totally related to the story i wrote, but yeah!) -- and um... (Dai) Lightni too? (though i dunno if it was related to the Hinode drabbles too...)
also @timelessanimo drew my Daisukes from two different projects too ;o; I was so happy i didn't know how to express my gratitude 🥺
I prefer to let whoever wants to illust or doodle something about my writing to pick their favorites. If i want something specific to be drawn, i do it by myself 😅 (this is why LotC had most of my art in it... except for one, which i wrote said scene based on a fanart and got permission from the artist to include it in the story as illust...)

Uh... I try my best to keep them somewhere in my mind, but if i can't i have to open a new file or a note on google docs to write down details... Like the Digi-Partnership Math, or I keep Wikimon's Visual List of Digimon page open to go seek for the details my memory cannot hold.
I even have a few drafts with DigiTimeLines' kids birthdays and partner evolines because I couldn't keep track of those (ok, I have a list for the 02 Kids and other minor characters too...)

Well, shit. I'm... actually working towards a *book* I think.
With the end of chapter 7, my google doc I've been writing my story in is 71 pages. And I already know the next two parts, which are at least two more chapters. Plus at least one more chapter for a denouement, I guess.
Like, it's a short-ish book, if I were to, like, stop here, but it's a bit over 36,000 words.
NaNoWriMo, a basic benchmark I'm using for "how goddamned long is this thing?" has a goal of 50,000 words. So I'm more than 3/5 of the way to what I feel could be considered a novel.
This is... ok, like, I know this is, in essence, a draft. An incredibly rough draft. But... I think it's also the most I've ever written of a single story? Compared to prior attempts to "Write A Book?" Like, I think the furthest I've gotten before is *maybe* three chapters, and about 20 pages *at most*
Actually, I can check that... Ok, yeah, the last thing that I think was the furthest I got on a single story is 25 pages and not quite 11,000 words.
But....
well, shit. I've got more than half a book here, even if it's stream of consciousness and would need a hatchet taken to it before publishing, it's half a fucking novel.
