My post-game Head Canon for Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones

I really thought about making this into a fic, but that’s just not going to happen, so here we go.

Premise:

After a few years, Seth notices that Eirika is lonely without her brother always with her. He begins a series of "I'm just trying to help" actions that are mostly misguided. Calls her "my lady." These include:

Getting Eiphram to visit (include L'Arachel still pestering him about getting married). Inviting Tana and Innes, and learning of Innes’s intent to marry her. Inviting L'Archel based on their promise to visit. Inviting Joshua with the intent of marriage on the table. Even showcasing some of Renais's knight as potential matches. He brings up the idea of marrying Forde after he does her portrait. To which, Eirika is like, “You literally said that we shouldn’t be together because you are a Knight.” Seth is like, yeah but they would be fine.

For a while, Erika follows the advice that Seth gives her and decides to treat him as any other subject. She gets super depressed with her brother gone and trying to distance herself from Seth. After spending some time with Tana, Tana encourages her to go after him all the same. It's not worth this sadness. Only after that does Eirika pursue Seth. Eirika tries to spend more time with Seth. Asking for help with her swordplay. Asking for counsel. Even asking about certain dresses for the coronation that will happen once the two countries are rebuilt. (At Tana's suggestion). Eventually she goes to Eiphram to ask for his opinion, knowing that Seth will never go to ask for her hand in marriage. Eiphram sits Seth down. Embarrassment ensures when Seth thinks that he has been too transparent and thinks Eiphram is getting onto him.

I prefer headcanon of oblivious!Seth, but he is a general, so I have to give him credit. Maybe  he thinks that everything is behind them after their discussion. That Eirika had seemed to accept what he had to say

Natasha comes to see Seth after the war is over. She comes to tell Seth that even though she declared that he is in love with her, she still cannot find it in her heart to give up her vows. Seth accepts like a gentleman although he is a bit heartbroken. After some soul searching, he realizes that while Natasha is a wonderful person, he was hastier than he normally would have been. Probably because he was seeking comfort elsewhere after having to let Eirika down easy. Somehow, I want to go through the grapevine of servants until Eirika hears about it. Cue her shocked reaction and acts even weirder around Seth.

How it starts:

Since the game ends with mass destruction in Grado, basically everybody is going to go straight there afterwards to help.

The remaining Grado army got into line once Duessel took command. He vowed to never lead the Grado army again, fully intenting to retire after the war was over, but seeing the way the Grado responded to his prescence and their necessity in saving the citizens of Grado that he still loved in his heart, his body swept into action. Amelia followed after him as his first hand. Cormag and his wyvern saved many Grado lives by quickly transporting them quickly to a healer. Knoll and Natasha worked relentlessly to help those in Grado Keep. With the power of Grado's own, the recovery process sped along faster.

Once Grado was stable, Innes, Tana, Vanessa, Gilliam, Moulder, and Syrene went back to Frelia.

L’Arachael returns to Rausten with Dolza, a relunctant Rennac, with a promise of visiting them soon.

Joshua leaves to take rule over Johanna, with Gerik and Marissa.

Eiphram begs his sister to return to Renais as Queen while we continues to work in Grado. He argues that she makes a better leader than him. She argees and leaves with Seth--who will be the acting General of the entire Renais army.

Franz had arrived with a letter from Eiphram explaining that Franz desired to work under Seth once more, while Forde and Kyle had chosen to stay with him. With Franz was Gracia and Ross, who explained that although their home had been lost, they want to help rebuild the rest of Renais together. Artur and Lute arrived in tow, Artur devoting himself to the helping the people of Renais while Lute chosing to devote herself to studying more about Artur. Eirika learned later that they married upon returning to Renais. Finally within that group, Colm and Neimi returned together to make a new home for themselves in the reconstruction of Renais as husband and wife.

Weeks turned into months and months eventually turned into a year. Renais was about finished with all reconstruction for their kingdom. Towns were rebuilt, families reformed, and even the people of Grado had began to mix in with the people of Renais without tension. The people of Grado worked hardest of all to reconstruct not only their own kingdom, but also the damage done in Renais as well. Because of this, they earned a place of respect in the society of Renais. This was of course, aided by the Queen's generosity and kindness. Seth worked tirelessly to train new recuits from both Renais and Grado to fill in Renais's army again. Not to invade, but to defend. Seeing the carnage done to the small town and villages were enough to convince Seth that more protection was needed for all citizens of the country.

Once the Kingdom was rebuilt, the people asked for a coronation finally for Queen Eirika. The royal family from Frelia, Rausten, and Johanna were all invited to the coronation--as well as the entirety of Renais itself including its new Grado residents. As far as coronations go, it was not the finest one that had been seen, but it was fitting for the new Queen and her people. There were days full of cheering and celebrating the new queen and the rebuilding of Renais.

When Eiphram arrives, he tells her the news that Grado have asked for him to become their ruler. Renais becomes a empire with two kingdoms with Eirika as not only Queen, but Empress. Eirika and Eiphram are both super upset at the idea of being separated for life. Eiphram asks for Seth to look after her well being.

Can’t decide if I want Eiphram to marry L’Arachel or Tana...

Anyways, Seth does his best to make Eirika happy while maintaining distance, but then emotional scene where Eirika is like. Yo stop. It’s you that I want. They get married, Seth becomes King of Renais while only Eirika is Empress.

And they lived happily ever after.
