Blueeeee *slithers towards you*
How similar or different are Cherry and Charles from one another? 👀
If you wish to speak about them, of course!
*picks you up* Hoiiii :D
Tumblr media
Some differences I can say for sure are:
Charles (his uncle calls him Charlie Bum) knows he's brilliant but doesn't have the same *drive* as Cheryl to prove her/himself.
He's not as ambitious. He's content to become a welder or an oil rigger. Drink and get laid and die, eventually.
I blame his non existent self-esteem.
He knows he's smart, steps up when there's something he can do, but just shrugs it off when he's done. Doesn't take praise seriously.
Tumblr media
Cheryl has a longer wolf cut, softer brows. Charlie has shorter hair, longer lashes, a lower brow, hollower cheeks, and a little stache. Like a young Filipino Norman Reedus.
Charlie smokes to keep himself occupied. He has smoker's cough. His lungs are struggling to keep up.
Charlie' PSP is black lol. He has a rabbit's foot and a dog tag strung to it. Cheryl's is pink.
Weirdly enough, I see Charlie liking country music/dad rock vs. Cheryl liking industrial metal???
Charlie still gets bullied, but he hits back.

A/N | totally did not write this because it happened to me a few days ago haha...yeah I'm better now tho no worries👌🏻
◃◦---------------●--------------◦▹
The moment you woke up and made your way to the bathroom you knew your day wasn't going to be easy as you already felt out of breathe. You didn't thought much of it, grabbing your inhaler from the cabinet above the sink and taking a puff so you could go on with your day.
Some time later you started to feel how hard it was to do simple tasks, even just grabbing a bottle of water from the fridge without using your inhaler seemed impossible right now.
Laying in bed and listening to music you could still hear the others coming into the Chateau after their surf session. You got up and decided to join them in the living room, sitting down on the couch and taking another puff of your inhaler while JJ plopped beside you, instantly worried when he saw it in your hand.
"You alright, sugar?" He asked placing his hand on on your thigh, squeezing a little.
You nodded with a smile. "I'm fine, just feeling a little wheezy today."
JJ is not really convinced of your reassurance but nodded anyways, draping your legs over his lap and turning his attention back to the others who were bickering on who got the best wave.
Later in the evening you seemed to get even worse, your breathing now a lot shorter and your inhaler not really helping anymore. Slowly you started to worry and not only you did, JJ had been keeping an eye on you and to see how now any movement had you overwhelmed had him fidgeting a lot.
"Babe." He tried getting your attention and you lifted your head from his shoulder, looking at him with hooded eyes and your skin paler than usual. "Oh shit, you don't look good at all. I mean, you're still smoking hot but- you know what I mean!"
You chuckled and that was your mistake. You started to have a coughing fit, your breathing even worse now after it subsided.
You let your head fall back against JJ's shoulder, whining in distress and frustration, not understanding what's happening right now. JJ called out for John B, assuming your brother must know what to do, he always does.
A second later John B walked in with a can of beer in his hand. "What's up?"
"I don't know man. She- She can't really move without using this." JJ explained holding your inhaler up.
John B, already in big brother mode, walked over to you both holding your face with both hands, cursing under breath.
"Fuck- how many puffs did you take today kid?" He asked and you shrugged tiredly, not enjoying all those movements at all and your stomach doesn't like it either.
"Bucket..." You mumbled and John B rushed to get you one, just in time when your body wrenched forward to vomit.
"What's happening with her?" JJ asked, trying to keep his cool and holding your hair out of your face while you emptied your stomach.
"She overused her inhaler and now her circulation is fucked up." John B explained, calm as ever and putting the bucket down when you stopped puking. He grabbed his phone next and called for an ambulance, knowing things would get worse if he didn't act fast enough.
John B crouched in front of you, trying to get your attention again which was hard for you as everything seemed to exhaust you, even talking.
"You'll be okay. I called an ambulance, they'll be here soon, yeah?"
You just nodded, closing your eyes to get any type of rest but the boys have to keep you awake.
"Hey, stay with me baby. Just like that. Show me those pretty eyes." JJ smiled at you even when he's practically panicking on the inside and wishing he could just take away your suffering.
Meanwhile Pope, Kie, and Sarah caught up to what happened. All now scattered around the room and anxiously waiting for the ambulance to arrive.
Sure enough the paramedics walked inside the Chateau with Pope explaining what happened and in what state you're in.
JJ was holding you the whole time, comforting you and whispering affirmations in your ear. Just as you expected they have to take you to the hospital to give you proper medication and care there.
As soon as you got an IV drip and a oxygen mask JJ carefully got up with you in his arms, carrying you to the ambulance and gently placed you on the stretcher. He sat down beside you, holding your hand to let you know he's there while the paramedics moved around you.
In the hospital the pogues had to sit in the waiting room, angry that they could only wait for any doctor to tell them if you're fine or not. Even JJ couldn't go with you, only for the ride to the hospital and he almost punched the security guy that held him back from going to see how his girl is doing right now but John B eventually got him to sit down, talking some sense into him.
"Relax, dude. You're not helping her when you get arrested now. I know how this works. They keep her here for a few hours, give her medicine and oxygen, and when her oxygen saturation is better we can take her back home."
JJ nodded, taking his hat off and pulling at some strains of his hair. It kills him not being able to be with you in such a scary moment.
An hour later the doctor came into the waiting room and the pogues instantly sprung up, attacking the poor woman with all kinds of questions.
"Alright, let's calm down first." She told them, looking back at the clipboard in her hand. "So, she's going to be okay. She needs to take these antibiotics for the next ten days. Watch that she's drinking and eating enough because she'll still feel a little weak the next two or three days, so keep an eye on her."
The doctor handed John B the package of antibiotics and told them that they could go and see you now as you're stable again.
You smiled when you saw them rushing inside and to your bed, all of them just so relieved to have your normal self back.
JJ leaned down to give a quick peck to your lips, resting his forehead against yours for a moment.
"You scared the hell outta me..." He said and you reached up caress his cheek with your hand.
"I'm sorry." You pulled back from him. "I just- I thought it wouldn't end like that. I already saw the signs the second I woke up but..." You tried to explain your own stupidity but JJ cut you off.
"It's okay, you don't have to explain anything. You're fine now, that's what matters." He assured you.
"Can we go home now?" You asked and turned your head to your brother.
John B patted your head and nodded. "Sure kid, lemme just get a nurse real quick."
Finally back at the Chateau everyone decided a movie night would be the best to cheer you up and as always they were right, even when you're still not feeling all well you had the sleep that night, knowing your family was with you.
JJ held you the whole night, always on alert when you move just a single muscle, checking if you're alright and getting you everything you asked him for.
You really were blessed with this boy.

If you do asthma testing, pack her favourite plushie and maybe a nice blanket to cuddle her with afterwards. It's often very exhausting and draining, and that might help her cope a little easier!
Lucifer and Nova go to a doctor the next day, right after breakfast. Nova is visibly reluctant. But it's a necessary evil. He would know.
But the suggested items did indeed help. Some paper and pens for the in-between test times and it wasn't too bad.
Not a pleasant experience by any means but far less scary too her.
Now they're sitting in the doctor's office, awaiting the results.
Doctor: “I can say with fair certainty that Nova does indeed seem to have asthma. Though it seems it's not too severe, thankfully.”
Lucifer: “Ah- okay, right. So what do we have to look out for?”
Doctor: “Sometimes strenuous activity might cause it, anxiety and stress. It might not always happen, but be prepared just in case. Ah, and something else”
The Doctor shows a picture of Nova's arm during the correlating allergy test. Some squares wher emade on her arm, on it possible allergens poached. All spots look normal except for one pinkish spot with a small bump.
Doctor: “We haven't found anything she's allergic to, besides mold. Now it certainly can be genetic but it's also possible that it's caused by long exposure to it. Might be the cause of the asthma as well.”
Lucifer thinks back to the dirty apartment she lived in, the bugs and the dirt. And yes the mold.
Lucifer: “... That might not be too far off.”
Nova has been so far quite. Tiredly leaning against Lucifer and listening. She peaks up whispering to Lucifer.
Nova: “What's mold?”
Lucifer: “Oh- uh- Mold is like a tiny plant that can sometimes grow in damp places. Sometimes looks like a spot that keeps getting bigger.”
Nova: “Oh. We had that on our walls”
Lucifer: “Yeah, Hun, I'm sorry”
Nova: “That's bad?”
Lucifer: “It's not something you should be around too often, or it might make you sick”
The girl looks a bit put off, he combs through her hair.
Nova: “I'm sick already, right?”
Lucifer: “... yeah”
The doctor pipes in, seeing Lucifer flailing for a way to explain.
Doctor: “So, like you heard before, you have asthma. This means that sometimes your lungs can get a bit tight, especially if you're around mold. But don’t worry, we have a special medicine that will help your lungs feel better and make it easier for you to breathe, so you can keep doing the things you love.”
Nova: “Is it forever?”
Doctor: “It lessens for some as they grow older. But it more often than not stays, sadly”
Nova: “But you'll make it better?”
Doctor, nodding: "We're going to give you a special inhaler. This is a little device that helps you breathe better if your lungs start feeling tight all of a sudden. If you ever feel like it's hard to breathe, you can use your inhaler, it will help your lungs relax quickly. You’ll need to keep it with you just in case, to make sure you can always breathe easily.”
Lucifer: “Should she take it regularly?”
The doctor shakes his head, placing the device in the king's hand.
Doctor: “If it gets more frequent we might give her regular dosing. But for now, we'll only use emergency inhalers. We're giving her salbutamol. If she has trouble breathing, place this end in her mouth, let her breathe in, hold the breath for ten seconds and exhale.”
Nova: “And if it doesn't help?”
Doctor: “After five minutes, you'll try again. If it doesn't help at all, you go to a doctor. But it'll most likely help”
Lucifer: “Right… thanks Doc”
Doctor: “It's not great to have such a diagnosis, but remember, she can still live a mostly normal life.”

Dating apps were an unbeatable game, in Bonnie’s experience. Though a lot of people repeatedly tried to remind her that they weren’t a game, nor were they a means to make new friends, their exclaims fell on deaf ears. She enjoyed the thrill of getting to know new people, of learning all their quirks and the things that made them tick. She often found herself immersed in new hobbies as she fixated on the interests of a brand new human that she’d matched with on tinder or hinge. Brayden from Manhattan had loved horse riding and astronomy; The latter interest had reeled her in within a matter of seconds, the former had lead to a sprained ankle, a week of wearing a neck brace and a special feature on Maggie’s perfectly curated grid as she ripped the shit out of her roomie. Gabriella was from the Bronx, and she’d been an avid fan of tennis, resulting in Ariadne introducing Bonnie to her friend Colin for tips. Gabriella may have ghosted her, but Bonnie had learned hard and fast just how good Colin Nash was on his knees.
Sufficed to say, Bonnie didn’t exactly fit the dictionary definition of a romantic, but she liked being busy. She loved people and the distractions they brought with them, just as she adored the idea of embracing new ideas and environments and cultures, positively obsessed with the concept of somebody liking her so much that they might some day define it as love.
All the same, she was shit out of luck and had a tendency to run her mouth and drive people away. That, or she was prone to getting catfished several times a week.
Today’s date was Roger. He was from London, built like a marble sculpture, and richer than God. He was hot in a way that implied one night with him would shatter her spine and leave her destitute and being fed from a tube for the foreseeable future, and who was she to say no to that? Admittedly, Kian had rolled his eyes immediately upon seeing his profile, the all too familiar singsong of catfish spilling from Missy’s perfect lips, and Bonnie had groaned, stomped her feet, and then promptly begged a nonplussed Rory to shadow her date to make sure he was real and not a slimy, murdering murderer prepping to chop her up to sell her organs to Armie Hammer.
“Oh my God, I’m late. I’m so late. Sexy Hannibal Lecter’s never gonna rearrange my guts if you don’t GET! OUT! MY! WAY!” Bonnie found herself snapping as she came to a halt in front of a group of tourists, the oldest of them wide eyed and clutching her pearls as — presumably — her granddaughter covered her ears, jaw dropping in mortification at every word that had just been screeched in their general direction.
Bonnie kept moving, only sparing a glance over her shoulder to ensure Rory was still on her tail. He was moving at a far more sensible pace — stupid, sexy Irish man and his manly, athletic thighs that had no business belonging to a dweeby sci-fi author — and he wasn’t fumbling around in his jacket pocket for an inhaler the way that Bonnie was. The sharp chill of the Autumnal air had hit her like a bullet train the second she’d stepped outside, an ice-cold ache washing over her lungs, tightening in her throat as she pushed through crowds of irritable New Yorkers.
Finally, she came to a stop in front of the coffee shop she’d agreed to meet Roger at, drawing the piece of plastic to her lips and inhaling sharply. Relief washed over her as she felt that hit of salbutamol, her airways clearing as sweat dripped down her neck, her hand coming up to clutch desperately at her ribcage. She spun on the spot as she searched for Roger, her gaze landing on a man a mere 3 feet away from her who, she guessed, vaguely resembled her date? He was about 7 inches shorter than he’d claimed, a little scruffy, and nowhere near as ripped, but she supposed he’d have to do.
Before she could get a single word out or even so much as wave a hand to greet him, Roger was speaking.
“Nope, sorry. Asthma? Massive ick, babes,” he said in an accent that sounded nothing like Matt Smith’s, and promptly turned on his heels and walked away.
Exhausted, perplexed, and perpetually disappointed, Bonnie’s shoulders deflated as she scowled after her failed tinder match. With as much gusto as she could manage considering her current state of irritation, Bonnie flipped him the bird — or rather, the back of his head — and let out a loud, petulant whine.
“Seriously? God for-fucking-bid I need to pause for breath while going down on pencil-dick over here,” Bonnie bitched, silently banking on the fact that Rory was within earshot. She supposed she was lucky that she didn't have to worry about it ever getting that far, but she had wasted a banging outfit on the dickhead.

Yippe!! Music!!
Trying Not to Think About It may seem like a very depressing song, but it actually tells the story of recovery from depression/a depressive episode. The writer/composer of the song is Will Gold. This song is four verses long and each verse furthers the story of him trying to improve his life and beat his depression. Within those four verses is a very charming and sweet song; it invokes a lot of emotions from grief to hope.
In the first verse Gold reveals how a partner left him, because of his depression and how that made him realize that he needs to try and get better. The partner in this song is not a specific person, the ‘you’ or partner is a symbol for all of his relationships. In the first verse Gold highlights his relationship, “No time for Tylenol, Salbutamol/Fuck my life you cared when I was sick,” (0:45-53). As a self admitted hypochondriac, a person who experiences extreme anxiety from getting sick, Gold admitting that he does not need over the counter medication is big; for Gold to say that he had no need for these drugs reveals that this relationship made him feel safe enough to abandon a closely held coping mechanism. “You said you gave the world, I took it all/you fought this war one-sided” (0:58-1:02), this line shows the partners view on the relationship. The ‘war’ is a symbol for Gold’s mental illness, it is being fought one-sided because Gold’s partner is doing all the work. They are giving away a lot of emotional labor to help Gold, but he is not doing anything to help them. They are giving him the world, but he is not reciprocating. “You said it’s over now/Not tomorrow, not the next day, not any day” (0:24-31), Gold starts this song with the words that his partner used to break up with him. These words do not sound like someone breaking up with their boyfriend just because, it sounds like this is the only time that they can leave. They are seeing their boyfriend rot away and he is not getting better with their help. They have to leave because it hurts too much to see their partner like this. They love Gold but being with him is too draining and they need to do something for themselves, and they hope that this will motivate Gold to get better, “You said you’d figured out what could move me,” (0:35-39).
In the second verse Gold examines the effects of his mental illness on his life. He can’t see past the surface level beauty in the world, “I look to the horizon/And all I ever saw was a background for my phone,” (1:54-2:02). When looking at this view he can’t derive meaning from it; he is so disconnected from the world because of his depression that he can not see anything but a background when looking at a beautiful sight. “Never been the kind to give the shared life a second glance,” (1:37-42). Gold has trouble being able to share a world with someone, because he hates it. Nothing can snap him out of his head, “Selfish prose, a lifestyle of a stained-glass window/Wonder what colors and shapes I'll throw,” (1:43-53). A stained-glass window is a metaphor for Gold’s ability to see the world; when there is no light shining through a stained-glass window nothing can be seen. All the artistry, the small details, the larger picture, none of that is seen without light. Without anyone in Gold’s life he can not see the beauty. He needs some else to be able to live his life to the fullest, and he realizes that this is selfish; that informs his discovery that his partner should have been the one that pulled him from his depression, “It should’ve been you/The constant and the undiscovered you/Well, now it’s you,” (2:03-16), but he is having his epiphany now. His partner leaving him made him try at life. During their relationship his partner was not Gold’s motivation, but now it is.
In the third verse Gold expresses what he is doing to improve his life. He starts trying to fall back in love with his life, “I’ll wake up early/I’ll watch the sunrise,” (2:28-32); while Gold might not appreciate the connection to nature when he sees something beautiful, he can still try to appreciate what he sees. Many people with depression sleep through their days, so just waking up early shows a clear shift in his mental state. He might not be better but he is ready to try. He reaches out to people, “Call my mother, tell her I love her,” (2:39-43). Self isolation is a very common symptom for depression; many people with depression will let their relationships waste away and Gold being able to combat this will be huge in the battle to get better. He then closes this verse out with what his partner told him when they broke up with him, “When your heart finds its place, just take a step back and smile/When youre sat in a better place,” (3:02-11). This reiterates that Gold’s partner did not leave him because they did not love him.
The last verse repeats the same three lines twice, “We could’ve kicked my ass together/We could’ve slapped my face together/We could’ve stitched my mind together,” (3:33-40). These are Gold’s regrets. He misses his partner. He knows that if he was his best self that they would’ve had an amazing relationship, but Gold was not in a place to do that. He couldn’t love living, so how was he supposed to love someone else? Having depression is very taking and doesn’t allow for one to share the same priorities as someone without it. His last line is in response to his partner, “So this is how I lose you,” (3:52-55).

Why does stabilized moss cost so little? Why can it change color after stabilization? What happens if the stabilized moss is destabilized?.. In short, take everything before I cough up my lungs. Breathing Easy with Asthma: Tips for Long-Term Control
Tumblr media
Asthma is a long-term disease that affects the airways in your lungs, making it hard to breathe. For many people in Thailand, living with asthma can be challenging due to pollution, humidity, and allergens. But the good news is that with the right care, asthma can be controlled.
This guide will help you understand asthma better, identify what triggers it, and learn how to manage your symptoms daily. Whether you’re newly diagnosed or have had asthma for years, these tips can help you breathe easier and live a full life.
Key Takeaways
Asthma is a manageable condition with the right daily habits.
Avoiding common triggers is key to preventing attacks.
Regular medication and proper inhaler use are essential.
An asthma action plan helps you stay prepared.
Healthy lifestyle choices support better lung function.
Understanding Asthma and Its Impact
What Happens During an Asthma Attack?
Asthma makes your airways inflamed and narrow. During an asthma attack, the muscles around your airways tighten, and mucus builds up, causing symptoms like:
Wheezing (a whistling sound while breathing)
Coughing, especially at night or early morning
Tightness in the chest
Shortness of breath
These symptoms may come and go, but without control, asthma can worsen over time.
How Common Is Asthma in Thailand?
In Thailand, asthma is a growing concern, especially in cities like Bangkok where air pollution (PM2.5) is high. According to Thai medical research, many people are affected by environmental factors such as smoke, dust, and pollen. Children and older adults are especially at risk.
Identifying and Avoiding Triggers
Common Asthma Triggers in Thailand
To control asthma, you need to know what makes it worse. In Thailand, some common triggers include:
Air Pollution: Traffic smoke and PM2.5 can irritate your lungs.
Humidity and Mold: Moisture can cause mold in homes, especially during the rainy season.
Allergens: Pollen, pet dander, and dust mites are frequent causes.
Smoke: From cooking, incense, or mosquito coils.
Cold air or strong smells: Perfumes, cleaning products, or paint fumes.
Tips to Minimize Exposure
Use air purifiers at home to remove dust and pollutants.
Keep your home clean and dry to prevent mold and dust mites.
Wear a mask on high-pollution days, especially outdoors.
Avoid strong smells and always ventilate your space when cleaning or cooking.
Medication Management for Long-Term Control
Types of Asthma Medications
There are two main types of medications for asthma:
Controller Medicines: These are taken daily to reduce airway inflammation. (Example: inhaled corticosteroids)
Quick-Relief Medicines: Also called rescue inhalers, these provide fast relief during an attack. (Example: salbutamol)
Using Inhalers the Right Way
Inhalers are the most common way to take asthma medicine. But many people use them incorrectly. Always follow these steps:
Shake the inhaler before use
Breathe out fully
Place the inhaler in your mouth and press while breathing in slowly
Hold your breath for a few seconds
Using a spacer device can help deliver the medicine more effectively.
When to Adjust Your Medication
If you notice more frequent symptoms or need your rescue inhaler more often, it may be time to adjust your medication. Always consult a doctor before making changes.
Creating an Asthma Action Plan
What Should an Action Plan Include?
An asthma action plan is a simple guide that helps you know what to do every day and during an emergency. It should include:
Daily medicines and when to take them
What to do when symptoms start
When to call a doctor or go to the hospital
Why Personalization Matters
Everyone’s asthma is different. A personalized plan helps manage your condition based on your triggers, lifestyle, and severity. For students and workers in Thailand, schools and workplaces can also keep a copy of your plan in case of emergencies.
Lifestyle Changes That Help You Breathe Better
Exercise and Asthma
Exercise is good for your health, even if you have asthma. It helps strengthen your lungs and boosts immunity. Some asthma-friendly exercises include:
Swimming – the warm, moist air is less likely to trigger symptoms
Walking – gentle and effective
Yoga – helps control breathing and reduces stress
Always warm up before starting and carry your inhaler just in case.
Diet and Overall Wellness
Certain foods may help reduce inflammation and boost lung health:
Fruits rich in vitamin C (like oranges and guavas)
Omega-3 fatty acids (from fish)
Vegetables high in antioxidants
Avoid processed foods and stay hydrated, especially in Thailand’s hot weather.
Managing Stress and Sleep
Stress and poor sleep can trigger asthma attacks. Tips for better wellness:
Practice deep breathing or meditation
Keep a regular sleep schedule
Avoid using your phone or watching TV before bedtime
Monitoring and Tracking Your Asthma
Keeping a Symptom Diary
Write down your daily symptoms, medication use, and possible triggers. This helps your doctor understand your asthma pattern and adjust your treatment.
Regular Doctor Visits and Lung Function Tests
Visit your doctor every 3–6 months for a check-up. Tests like spirometry and peak flow monitoring show how well your lungs are working. These are available at most hospitals and clinics in Thailand.
Conclusion
Living with asthma doesn’t mean you have to give up the activities you love. With the right knowledge, medication, and daily habits, you can control asthma and breathe easier every day.
Don’t wait for an attack to take action. Work with your doctor, follow your action plan, and take care of your environment and body. Asthma can be managed—one breath at a time.

Essential Guide to Medication Access in Pakistan
In today's fast-paced world, access to essential medications is a cornerstone of public health. For many in Pakistan, navigating the pharmaceutical landscape to find reliable information on medication availability, pricing, and safe purchase options can be a significant challenge. This comprehensive guide from Medspotpk aims to shed light on crucial medications like Ventolin Inhaler, Salbutamol Inhaler, Ketosteril Tablet, and Imuran 50mg, addressing common queries about their price in Pakistan and the complexities of online in Pakistan acquisition. Our goal is to empower you with knowledge, emphasizing the paramount importance of legal and safe channels for all your medical needs.
Understanding Your Medications: Uses and Importance
Before delving into prices and availability, it's crucial to understand what these medications are used for and why they are vital for patient well-being.
Ventolin Inhaler & Salbutamol Inhaler: Breathing Easier
Ventolin Inhaler is a well-known brand name for Salbutamol (also known as Albuterol in some regions). Salbutamol inhaler is a fast-acting bronchodilator used to relieve symptoms of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), such as wheezing, shortness of breath, and coughing. It works by relaxing the muscles in the airways, allowing for easier breathing. For individuals with respiratory conditions, having immediate access to a Ventolin inhaler or Salbutamol inhaler is often life-saving, especially during an acute asthma attack.
Ketosteril Tablet: Supporting Kidney Health
Ketosteril tablet is a nutritional supplement prescribed for patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD). It contains essential amino acids and ketoanalogues that help reduce the burden on the kidneys by lowering urea levels in the blood. This can delay the progression of kidney disease and potentially postpone the need for dialysis. For CKD patients, Ketosteril tablet plays a critical role in managing their condition and improving their quality of life by supporting metabolic balance.
Imuran 50mg: Managing Autoimmune Conditions
Imuran 50mg (Azathioprine) is an immunosuppressant medication used to treat various autoimmune diseases, such as rheumatoid arthritis, Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, and lupus. It is also used to prevent organ rejection in transplant patients. By suppressing the body's immune system, Imuran 50mg helps reduce inflammation and prevent the immune system from attacking healthy tissues. This medication is vital for long-term management of chronic conditions, requiring careful medical supervision.
Medication Pricing in Pakistan: What to Expect
The price in Pakistan for pharmaceuticals can vary due to several factors, including manufacturer, dosage, packaging, and the specific pharmacy. While we cannot provide real-time, exact figures due to market fluctuations and varying retail prices, we can offer a general understanding based on available data.
Ventolin inhaler price in Pakistan / Salbutamol inhaler price in Pakistan: These are generally affordable and widely available due to their essential nature. Prices can range from a few hundred Pakistani Rupees (PKR) depending on the brand (e.g., GSK's Ventolin or local generic Salbutamol) and the type of inhaler (e.g., metered-dose inhaler, nebulizer solution). For instance, a Ventolin Evohaler 100mcg might be priced around PKR 350-400, while a generic Salbutamol HFA Inhaler 100mcg could be slightly less.
Ketosteril tablet price in Pakistan: Ketosteril tablet is typically more expensive due to its specialized nature and import status. Prices can vary significantly, with some sources indicating a price range of PKR 800 to PKR 3,500 or more per strip or pack, depending on the number of tablets. For example, a pack of 100 tablets might be priced around PKR 3,300 to PKR 3,400, while individual strips might be priced lower.
Imuran 50mg price in Pakistan: Imuran 50mg is also a specialized medication, and its price in Pakistan reflects this. It is often available in packs, and the price can be in the range of several thousand PKR for a pack of 100 tablets. For instance, some international online pharmacies list Imuran Tablet 50 Mg 100 PC around QR 114.00 (Qatari Riyals), which translates to a significant amount in PKR.
Important Note on Pricing: The prices mentioned are approximate and based on publicly available information at the time of writing. They are subject to change due to economic factors, import duties, and manufacturer pricing policies. Always confirm the current price with a licensed pharmacy.
The Reality of "Online in Pakistan" for Medications
The convenience of searching for Salbutamol inhaler online in Pakistan, Buy Ketosteril tablet online in Pakistan, or imuran 50mg online in pakistan is undeniable. However, the online pharmaceutical landscape in Pakistan, like many other countries, is governed by strict regulations to ensure patient safety.
Legal Framework and DRAP Regulations
The Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) is the primary body responsible for regulating the manufacture, import, export, distribution, and sale of therapeutic goods in the country. This includes strict guidelines for pharmacies, both physical and online. While online pharmacies are emerging, they must adhere to DRAP's stringent standards, especially for prescription medications.
Key considerations for online in Pakistan medication purchases:
Prescription Requirement: For medications like Ventolin Inhaler, Ketosteril Tablet, and Imuran 50mg, a valid prescription from a registered medical practitioner is mandatory. Reputable online pharmacies will always require you to upload or present a valid prescription before dispensing these drugs.
Licensed Pharmacies Only: Only pharmacies licensed by DRAP are authorized to sell medications. When considering Salbutamol inhaler online in Pakistan or to Buy Ketosteril tablet online in Pakistan, ensure the online platform is affiliated with a legitimate, registered pharmacy. Look for their license information and contact details.
Controlled Substances: Many of these medications, particularly Imuran 50mg (as an immunosuppressant) and even Salbutamol (due to its potential for misuse in some contexts), are considered controlled or prescription-only drugs. Their online sale is heavily scrutinized to prevent misuse and ensure patient safety.
Authenticity and Quality: The biggest risk with unauthorized online in Pakistan sources is the potential for counterfeit or substandard products. These can be ineffective, harmful, or even fatal. Always prioritize authenticity over a lower price.
How to Safely Buy Ketosteril tablet online in Pakistan or other Medications
If you need to Buy Ketosteril tablet online in Pakistan or any other prescription medication, follow these steps to ensure safety and legality:
Obtain a Valid Prescription: Consult a qualified doctor who will diagnose your condition and provide a prescription for the appropriate medication and dosage.
Choose a Reputable Online Pharmacy: Look for online pharmacies that are well-established, have positive reviews, and clearly display their DRAP registration or affiliation with a physical, licensed pharmacy. Websites like Dvago and Naheed.pk are examples of platforms that operate within the regulated framework.
Verify Prescription: Be prepared to upload or provide your prescription. A legitimate online pharmacy will not dispense prescription medication without it.
Check for Secure Payment Gateways: Ensure the website uses secure payment methods to protect your financial information.
Review Delivery and Return Policies: Understand their delivery timelines, packaging standards, and return policies in case of issues.
Avoid Suspicious Offers: Be wary of websites offering unusually low prices or claiming to sell prescription medications without a prescription. These are red flags for illicit operations.

Everything You Must Know About Asthmaticus Treatment in Patna
Asthma is a long-term condition, but when it aggravates to status asthmaticus, it is a life-threatening situation requiring instant attention. In Patna, where pollution and other environmental conditions may trigger severe attacks, early identification of symptoms is crucial. Here, we underline the importance of early Asthmaticus Treatment in Patna, specifically with an eye on expert treatment at Ramkrishna Chest Hospital. Equipped with advanced facilities and qualified specialists, the city offers complete control over asthma for severe cases, and the patient gets the right treatment at the right time.
Understanding Asthmaticus and Its Severity
Asthmaticus is a life-threatening, protracted asthma attack that does not respond to standard rescue inhalers. It produces severe inflammation, mucus secretion, and airway narrowing, and thus, it becomes difficult to breathe. This results in highly low oxygen (hypoxemia) and high carbon dioxide (hypercarbia) levels in the blood. If not treated with immediate and intensive Asthmaticus Treatment in Patna, it can rapidly progress to respiratory failure, coma, or even death. Prompt medical attention is essential, as any delay may cause lethal consequences.
Early Asthma Signs and Symptoms That You Can't Ignore
Identifying the warning signs of asthma can be a matter of life and death. Major symptoms are:
Severe, chronic Shortness of Breath: In contrast to a usual wheezing episode, the difficulty in breathing does not improve with the use of a fast-relief inhaler.
Rapid Shallow Breathing: There isn't enough air, so there is rapid, shallow gasping.
Unresponsive Wheezing: The whistling noise that occurs when breathing does not get better after administration of a rescue inhaler. In very severe cases, wheezing may even stop, which is an ominous sign indicating minimal airflow.
Chest tightness: Feeling of a heavy weight on the chest that does not resolve.
Blue Lips or Fingernails (Cyanosis): This is a serious indication of a deficiency of oxygen in blood and needs emergency medical assistance.
Trouble Speaking: The patient may not be able to form complete sentences, only saying a few words.
Confusion or Drowsiness: Because of the insufficient oxygen to the brain, the patient might become confused or unconscious.
If you or someone close to you is suffering from these symptoms, then it is obligatory to get emergency Asthmaticus Treatment in Patna immediately.
Importance of Timely and Correct Asthmaticus Treatment in Patna
Timeliness is the basis of successful management. Every second counts while managing asthma. The goal of emergency Asthma Treatment in Patna is to restore normal breathing by reversing bronchospasm, reducing inflammation, and maintaining normal breathing. This often involves:
Oxygen Therapy: To increase the level of oxygen in the blood.
High-Dose Nebulized Bronchodilators: Medications like salbutamol are administered incessantly to expand the airways.
Systemic Corticosteroids: Intravenous corticosteroids have a major role in reducing the inflammation response in the bronchial tubes.
Magnesium Sulfate: This is often given to enjoin the airway smooth muscles.
Other Medications: Based on the severity, other medications such as epinephrine or aminophylline may be administered.
In severe situations, the patient might need mechanical ventilation to help with respiration. That is why access to a well-equipped respiratory ICU is extremely important for proper Asthmaticus Treatment in Patna.
Advances in Modern Asthma Treatment in Patna
Modern Asthma Treatment in Patna is not limited to rescue inhalers alone. Now, some specialized hospitals and clinics provide comprehensive management of asthma, namely:
Sophisticated Diagnostic Equipment: Spirometry, allergy tests, and sleep studies are employed to make precise diagnoses and monitor the condition.
Customized Medication Regimens: Physicians develop customized regimens that incorporate long-term control medications, e.g., inhaled corticosteroids and biologic agents, to avoid flare-ups.
Inhaler Technique Training: Proper technique when using inhalers is important to ensure effective delivery of medication. Most clinics provide training so that patients can get the best benefit out of their medication.
Pulmonary Rehabilitation: Treatment programs that help to enhance lung function and quality of life.
Biologic Therapies: In case of severe, uncontrolled asthma, these new treatments aim at molecules specifically involved in the inflammatory response.
These developments have revolutionized Asthma Treatment in Patna, providing an enhanced quality of life and diminishing the risk of a critical asthmatic crisis.
Role of Ramkrishna Chest Hospital in Critical Asthma and Chest Disease Management
Ramkrishna Chest Hospital (RKCH) is a leading center in Patna when it comes to asthma and chest disease management. The hospital has a specially designed respiratory ICU with high-end life support systems such as ventilators to manage critically ill respiratory emergencies like asthmaticus.

His leadership has made RKCH a top destination for Asthmaticus Treatment in Patna.
Selecting the Appropriate Specialist for Asthmaticus Treatment in Patna
Selecting the appropriate doctor is an important decision. During your search for an expert to offer Asthmaticus Treatment in Patna, keep the following factors in mind:
Experience and Specialty: Choose a pulmonologist or chest specialist with rich experience in treating severe respiratory illnesses.
Hospital Association: The expert should be linked with a hospital that has a well-furnished ICU center along with emergency services.

Dr. Sudhir Kumar of Ramkrishna Chest Hospital is an ideal option for specialist Asthmaticus Treatment in Patna.
Conclusion
Asthma is a controllable disorder, but it requires active control. Knowing the risks, the early warning signs, and having an action plan can be the difference between life and death. Don't let your asthma worsen to a life-threatening situation. With well-equipped facilities such as Ramkrishna Chest Hospital and the experience of physicians such as Dr. Sudhir Kumar, you can breathe better and lead a better life. Take the reins of your asthma today and never let yourself face the life-threatening intensity of asthmaticus.

Note
Please ignore this if it's unhelpful or you already know, but I both work in the healthcare sector and also have Asthma, POTS, and Mast Cell fuckery, and am blown away by the sheer incompetence of your doctor, because propanolol specifically as well as beta antagonists in general are a really bad mix with asthma
Your PCP has no excuse to not know, it's incredibly well known medically. Like, 'Medical software will put up a warning alert if you try to prescribe beta blockers to someone with asthma as a listed condition' level well known. Like it's so well known, it's genuinely used in textbooks and training as an example of medication contraindication. Salbutamol (Ventolin) is a Short Acting Beta Antagonist for crying out loud.
As with many medication contraindications, there are circumstances that mean the benefit outweighs the risk, and I'm not aware of everything about your situation and am not qualified to give medical advice, as well as being a random stranger on the internet, but I can tell you at very least your PCP should have made sure you were aware of the potential side effects and risks so you could self-monitor and report back if there were noticeable changes, and that you should ABSOLUTELY get on their ass about it.
Hey, I've sat on this for a while because I didn't really have a response at the time. That, and I honestly forgot it was there once the new message badge went away. Joys of unmediated (at the time) ADHD. (also three cheers for Strattera!)
I did talk to my PCP about the side effects and did get onto her and her in-house pharmacist for even recommending a beta blocker with a history of asthma. No apology but they did say they would reevaluate future recommendations. In the meantime, I'm going directly to my pharmacist and my allergist for future cardiac meds. I'm currently on a calcium channel blocker that's honestly doing nothing and after that, I'm going to Mark Cuban's pharmacy to get some Ivabradine because that's been recommended by both as low mast cell fuckery helper but will not be covered by my insurance (hooray US medical coverage!).
Anyway, that was a lot but yes, TL;DR they should have known better. My pharmacy caught it but my doctor told me to take it anyway. I yelled. They will be reevaluating future scripts. I no longer trust them to give me cardiac meds. Going directly to pharmacist and allergist now for med recommendations.
Also, if anyone has experience with anti-depressants and histamine response, hit me up. I have questions about Trintellix and Rexulti and histamine response since they're technically not SSRIs but are serontin modulators and I'm not finding much on open access articles.

Reliable Ambroxol Treatment at a Fraction of the Cost
Tumblr media
Access to essential medication should never come at an excessive cost or require lengthy international trips. Many individuals now choose to buy pharmaceuticals from trusted international pharmacies to reduce expenses while maintaining the same quality and effectiveness. Among the medications increasingly sought after is ambroxol, especially from licensed sources in Mexico, where prescription costs are notably more affordable compared to the United States.
Why Consumers Turn to Online Pharmacies for Ambroxol
Ambroxol is a well-known mucolytic agent and bronchodilator utilized to treat respiratory conditions like chronic bronchitis, asthma-related bronchial spasms, and persistent cough with mucus buildup. This medication is commonly recommended in combination therapies and is particularly beneficial in managing conditions marked by excessive or thickened mucus. For many patients, particularly those requiring long-term treatment, the cost of maintaining a consistent supply can become a financial burden.
This is where online access to international pharmacies becomes a practical solution. Medications that are often out of financial reach in domestic pharmacies become accessible through certified online platforms offering genuine products at reduced rates.
The Advantages of Sourcing Medications from Mexico
Prescription drugs in the U.S. frequently carry steep price tags, particularly for brand-name medications or formulations not widely available in generic form. It’s no surprise that many residents living near the southern U.S. border have long taken advantage of more affordable pricing across the border. But now, the benefits of international pricing models are no longer restricted to border towns. Online pharmacies based in Mexico offer nationwide delivery, eliminating the need for travel while retaining the cost advantage.
Patients who order medications like ambroxol online benefit from both savings and convenience. There’s no need to spend time waiting at local pharmacies or navigating complex insurance approvals. Instead, users can simply select their medication online, submit a valid prescription, and complete a secure checkout process with confidence.
Trust and Transparency in Online Medication Fulfillment
Understandably, some consumers may hesitate to purchase medications online due to concerns about authenticity, safety, or delivery. However, reputable platforms have addressed these concerns through secure payment processing, tracked deliveries, and rigorous sourcing practices. When selecting a provider, it's crucial to verify that the pharmacy offers approved, high-quality medications comparable to what is dispensed in local drugstores.
Ambroxol formulations, such as Mucoflux Ambroxol Salbutamol solution, are commonly available on these platforms and come with clear therapeutic indications. These include conditions such as bronchial asthma, bronchiectasis, sinusitis, and chronic bronchitis. As with any prescription, consulting a licensed healthcare provider before starting or continuing ambroxol treatment is advised.
Maximizing Value Without Compromising Quality
Reputable online pharmacies in Mexico often offer price reductions ranging from 50% to 80% compared to U.S. outlets. These savings do not come at the cost of quality. The medications supplied are typically manufactured under strict regulatory conditions and meet international pharmaceutical standards.
Moreover, the platforms ensure patient confidentiality and product integrity through encrypted payment systems and return policies. With customer service support and guaranteed delivery timelines, users can feel confident about the entire process, from order to doorstep delivery.
Convenience Meets Confidence
One of the most appealing aspects of ordering prescription medication from online Mexican pharmacies is the convenience. There's no need to navigate insurance networks or endure pharmacy wait times. In addition, the range of available medications is often broader, giving patients access to options that may be unavailable or more expensive domestically.
Patients suffering from chronic respiratory illnesses, for example, can maintain their treatment regimens consistently with readily available medications like ambroxol. Whether used to manage seasonal flare-ups or long-term respiratory conditions, these medications remain within financial reach without sacrificing efficacy.
An Ideal Alternative for Cost-Conscious Patients
With the rising cost of healthcare, more people are seeking out alternatives that allow them to maintain their health without financial strain. Accessing medications like ambroxol through online sources from Mexico is one such alternative. It not only provides an affordable solution but also ensures that patients don’t compromise on treatment consistency.
Consumers now have more control over their healthcare choices than ever before. With reliable, secure online access to prescription drugs, patients can avoid inflated pharmacy prices and still receive the medication they need, when they need it.
Conclusion
Navigating high medication costs no longer has to mean cutting corners or skipping treatments. For individuals looking to manage respiratory conditions with trusted pharmaceuticals like ambroxol, online options from Mexico provide an efficient, safe, and affordable path forward. Through verified platforms, patients can expect quality service, accessible pricing, and the comfort of knowing their prescriptions are in good hands.

Inhalation Drug Delivery Systems: Innovation, Efficiency, and Outlook
Tumblr media
With a global rise in respiratory ailments, inhalation drug delivery has emerged as an efficient and targeted alternative to oral and injectable therapies. This approach offers rapid action, localized delivery, and enhanced patient convenience. This article provides an in-depth look at the mechanisms, current devices, and future trends shaping this therapeutic strategy.
The lungs’ anatomical advantages, including a large surface area and thin alveolar membrane, make them ideal for fast drug absorption into the bloodstream. This route avoids the digestive system, leading to faster results and lower drug requirements.
Consider salbutamol: via inhalation, only 0.2–0.4 mg is needed, compared to 2–4 mg orally. It also offers faster relief—within five minutes—making it highly effective for emergencies like asthma attacks.
Although some inhaled drug is lost in the upper airways, the efficiency of site-specific delivery enables therapeutic success with lower overall dosage, minimizing side effects and maximizing efficacy.
Exploring Device Technologies
Inhalation therapies rely on nebulisers, pMDIs, and DPIs. Nebulisers create drug aerosols but are bulky and suited mainly for hospital environments. They are indispensable for patients needing high precision or who cannot use handheld devices.
pMDIs use pressurised gas to deliver medication. While the switch from CFCs to HFCs improved environmental safety, HFCs are still greenhouse gases. Research is ongoing to develop more eco-conscious alternatives and simplify patient coordination.
DPIs, especially capsule-based types, represent a leap forward. These breath-powered devices are compact, propellant-free, and increasingly favored by clinicians and patients alike.
DPIs comprise over 35% of global inhalation devices, with robust market growth projected at 7.2% annually, leading to $1.3 billion in revenue by 2031.
Precision Engineering in Capsule-Based DPIs
Capsules in DPIs are specially designed for efficient drug release. Manufacturing precision ensures minimal lubricant residues and optimised puncture performance to facilitate drug aerosolisation.
Due to the absence of natural filtration in the lungs, inhalation capsules must adhere to stringent microbial thresholds—far stricter than those for oral capsules. The target is <100 CFU/g.
Capsule materials typically include gelatin or HPMC. The latter is preferred for its low moisture uptake and reliable mechanical strength across diverse climates. Capsule size 3 remains the commercial standard for DPIs globally.
Formulating for Success: Drug and Carrier Dynamics
Effective DPI formulations combine active pharmaceutical ingredients with carriers like lactose to enhance flow, ensure accurate dosing, and facilitate particle dispersion. The drug must have an aerodynamic particle size of 1–5 µm for optimal lung penetration.
Factors such as particle surface area, static charge buildup, and drug-carrier interactions influence powder stability and deagglomeration efficiency during inhalation.
Manufacturers employ particle engineering techniques to fine-tune these properties, ensuring consistent dosing and optimal therapeutic outcomes.
Innovation Horizon: Beyond Pulmonary Disorders
With the successful delivery of inhaled insulin, the door is open for systemic use of inhalation therapies. This non-invasive route appeals to patients and may improve treatment adherence across multiple conditions.
Research is expanding into new indications, including lung cancer, cystic fibrosis, and neurological diseases. Moreover, existing medications like vancomycin and sumatriptan are being reformulated for inhalation to enhance treatment accessibility and effectiveness.

Now, Uncle DD and Aunt Karen are inside the room of nana... They are handling nana now...
Kokoy just brought the Oxygen Tank when it was being refilled by Uncle DD, Kokoy went back a few minutes ahead of Uncle DD to bring the Oxygen that was being refilled by Uncle DD today. That Uncle DD said the Oxygen is for 5hours only...

1:32 pm
Still,have windblow...
Nana is on emergency, I don't know what to feel but I have faith and miracles can do... What about the rituals? What about the relatives who have it? The old fakers friends who have it? The fakers INC who have it?
I cried awhile ago, but an angel gave me an anesthesia but still I know in my mind that this is pain... This is pain for real... This is a back-stab from here!
I cried and I suddenly stopped crying but I know this is pain... My mind knew this is pain then I'm crying again...
I don't like the relatives who have it... I don't like it... It is not yet the time for nana... Not yet she is holding my hands asking not to let go coz not yet!
For some Immaculate Conception Academy who are part of that rituals... Please don't come near me even some other relatives who have it...
INC made it Saturday? Can a 7th adventist give me miracles???
2:10 pm
Still,have windblow...
I cried on John, I tried calling Aunt Karen but I guess she needs to rest... They didn't want to go out from their house... But awhile ago, she continued feeding nana and Crysette was here as well...
I don't know what to feel now, I'm drinking my coffee... I bursted out on John in the kitchen... My son-dog is quiet and sensitive simply listening to me, he has this different behaviour as well... He barked when we put nana on the stretcher, he knew nana was on emergency...
I died for a hundred hours even Jesus died for hundred hours and were able to come back...
2:20 pm
Still,have windblow...
I never stop praying ... Uncle Jun said nana went home already... I don't know what to feel... This is not my dream and plans... Unfair old fakers friends, unfair religion-mates in INC or Church Of Christ, unfair group of Mitch? Unfair stars???
I told myself I want to see my nana happy when I reach my peak... But we're both flattened unfairly by some group of rituals... I was never a bad person, I was a choir member in the " Church Of Christ"...
2:37 pm
Still,have windblow...
I even told her it is ohkay to poops if you want but she ate 4 to 5 spoonful of Porridge or any Blended something made by Aunt Karen lately...
I grew-up with my nana for so long... She took care of me... The time that my biological mother went to Japan, she took care of me... I grew-up with my nana during my younger years... She was always with me, I was spoiled by her even on my X-bf's issues... She was always supportive of me... She was always with me...
Chian got her Gucci purse or Channel and I got her small bag of LV but genuine... She lost so many stuff coz a lot of things happened here in the house. So, many changes for so long, for 18 years... Since 2007 someone is killing us or me here or the entire flow of life here in Cavite...
What's next??? hmm... I want a decent, a bit of celebration for nana still for her death... I love my nana so much... I want a wake celebration here that we love her... I want a bit of foodish and some more days here...
I'll wear black angels... It is sad but I need to fight for my own future... Our fight supposed to be with nana...
Love my nana so much...
Tumblr media
Love you Mama Trining...
Tumblr media
3;15 pm
Still,have windblow...
Uncle DD called on Crysette and asked me what time Mama Trining became pale, around 12:30 Uncle Jun went in to check nana and she was still ohkay and Uncle Jun went out to finish his lunch... Then, few minutes around 1pm when I checked her, nana became pale and I called Kokoy to look for Uncle Jun coz nana seemed not breathing anymore.
Then, Uncle DD asked for me to clean the living room coz we will put nana there... He said we will not put nana in the garage... But we will put her in the living room... So, I have to clean now...

Disease Pathology Clinical Impression: Pertussis Bases: age of the child - 5 weeks old, infants are very susceptible in acquiring this disease day history of choking spells which began with repetitive coughing until he was gasping for breath post-tussive vomiting in respiratory distress - respiratory rate = 72/min and heart rate of 160 beats/min leukocytosis - 15,500/ul - increased WBC count is one of the laboratory findings in pertussis nasopharyngeal swab culture - Gram (-) bacilli. Pertussis is a Gram negative bacilli that inhabits respiratory epithelium from the nasopharynx to the bronchioles. Were this child's clinical course and chest radiograph consistent with his infection? Explain. The child's clinical course and chest radiograph is inconsistent with his infection since a patient with pertussis may have an abnormal chest radiograph that show perihilar infiltrate, (butterfly appearance), peribronchial cuffing and variable atelectasis due to hypersecretion of the respiratory mucosa and increased inthrathoracic pressure brought about by coughing. The patient is an infant and does not fit the classical pertussis which has usually a 6-week clinical course and is divided into catarrhal, paroxysmal and convalescent stage. He may have been in the paroxysmal stage which is marked by the onset of coughing. The coughing is usually a dry, intermittent, irritative hack that evolves into paroxysm. In infants, manifestation of pertussis in the paroxysmal stage include choking, gasping, flailing the extremities with face reddened. 2. How might this disease be prevented? Active immunization against pertussis (diphtheria - tetanus - acellular pertussis or DTaP) is the best standard measure against this disease which is given to children at 2, 4, 6, 15 to 18 months of age and at 4 to 6 years. However, since the patient is a 5-week-old male, he should be kept away from anyone who is coughing since they are at higher risk of life-threatening consequences. 3. What therapy would you suggest for this patient? Hospital admission is indicated for this patient since he is a 5-week-old infant and has not received the vaccine against pertussis. Recommended treatment by the 2005 CDC Guidelines include a 5-day course of azithromycin given at 10 mg/kg/day. Other macrolide treatment such as clarithromycin and erythromycin is not recommended for infants for development of infantile hypertrophic pyloric stenosis (IHPS). It is important also to treat a patient below 12 months within 3 weeks of onset of cough to avoid complications such as pneumonia, otitis media and meningitis. 4. Clinically, the cough may persist for some time following therapy. Give possible reasons why a cough may persist in the face of therapy? Coughing may persist for some time following therapy if aerosolized in the form of salbutamol is used which may serve as irritant to the respiratory mucosa. Underdosaging of drugs may not totally eradicate the bacteria, making them more adherent to the respiratory epithelium, thus, causing the symptoms. References Berhman, R. et. al. (2007). Respiratory Medicine: Current Trends in Asthma and COPD Management
Asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) are chronic respiratory conditions that are very common, not just in people of one country but worldwide.
Though both problems are distinct, sometimes COPD is mistaken as asthma because the two have almost the same symptoms.
Below is the information that will help you differentiate both:
Asthma is a chronic inflammatory disease that affects the airways at both a cellular and molecular level. Asthmatics often suffer from allergies, and their symptoms begin in childhood.
COPD, on the other hand, is characterized by impaired airflow that cannot be reversed. It usually develops later in life.
After gaining some insight into the impact of both diseases on health, you might get concerned about the situation. But the good news is that with the increasing number of asthma and COPD patients, awareness and research for better treatment for these conditions have also increased. To ease the lives of people suffering from these issues, our scientists work day and night to create Oral and intravenous corticosteroids. Additionally, students pursuing an MD in medicine put in their 100% effort so that in the future, they can do more advanced-level research and invent new drugs.
The following are the current Asthma and COPD Management trends that you should be aware of!
Current Trends in Asthma & COPD Management
Asthma & COPD management aims to control symptoms, prevent exacerbations, and minimize the risk of persistent airflow limitation and asthma-related death.
The following are the current trends in management that you should be aware of if you are interested in studying Respiratory Medicine:
Inhalers and Nebulizers: Inhalable medications such as Fasenra, Dupixent, Ventolin, salbutamol, and terbutaline are the first-line treatments for respiratory diseases. With the advancement of medical science, the market has seen a surge in the development of more efficient and user-friendly inhaler devices, which ensure better compliance and improved drug delivery.
Despite the initial treatment, if you still struggle with the issue, consult with your doctor to pursue a second line of action.
For Asthma, second-line drugs include heliox, magnesium sulfate, ketamine, and inhalational anesthetics.
For COPD,second-line options include tiotropium, salmeterol (Serevent), formoterol (Foradil), ipratropium, albuterol/ipratropium (Combivent), and levalbuterol (Xopenex).
Biologics Medicine: The emerging trends in therapies for lung diseases have pointed toward the use of monoclonal humanized antibodies, which are referred to as biologics.
These therapies target the specific immune system components responsible for asthma and COPD, increasing the chances of better outcomes.
Digital Health Solutions: The digital revolution is not only uplifting our lifestyle but also playing a critical role in improving our health. Now, with the invention of wearable devices that can track respiratory health, patients can help themselves escape serious respiratory conditions where they have to rush to the hospital.
Personalized medicine: Another prominent trend is treatment tailored to the patient's unique genetic and molecular profile. Because every person might have different causes of problems, symptoms, and responses toward particular drugs, this approach should become more common in the coming years.
Apart from the treatment listed above, for people suffering from asthma and COPD, it is possible to manage their condition before the problem gets out of hand.
The following are the steps they can take:
Identify and avoid triggers like allergens, irritants like smoke and pollution, and respiratory infections.
Get regular vaccinations for influenza and pneumonia.
Quit Smoking
Control weight
Summary: We hope you found the above information helpful. Though the information in the article was basic, if you want in depth knowledge of the Clinical manifestation for COPD and the management of Asthma attack, enroll in our medicine md online course now!

Significance of Monitoring Salbutamol Impurities
Monitoring and controlling impurities in salbutamol are crucial for several reasons:
Safety Concerns: Some impurities might be toxic or harmful, potentially posing risks to patient safety if present in significant amounts.
Therapeutic Efficacy: Impurities could alter the drug's potency or therapeutic effect, impacting its efficacy in managing respiratory conditions.
Regulatory Compliance: Regulatory agencies establish strict guidelines and acceptable limits for impurities in pharmaceuticals to ensure patient safety and drug quality. Exceeding these limits can lead to regulatory issues or product recall.
Control and Analysis of Salbutamol Impurities
Pharmaceutical manufacturers employ various techniques to identify, quantify, and control impurities in salbutamol:
Analytical Techniques: High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Gas Chromatography (GC), and other advanced analytical methods are used to detect and measure impurities accurately.
Quality Control Measures: Stringent quality control processes are implemented at every stage of production to monitor impurity levels and ensure they remain within acceptable limits.
Specifications and Limits: Regulatory bodies establish specific limits for impurities in salbutamol, and manufacturers must adhere to these standards to ensure product quality and safety.
Stability Studies: Assessing the stability of salbutamol under various conditions helps identify potential impurities formed over time and determine appropriate storage conditions.
Application of Salbutamol
Salbutamol is primarily used as a bronchodilator to relieve symptoms of asthma and COPD by relaxing the muscles in the airways, making breathing easier. It's available in various forms, including inhalers, nebulizers, tablets, and syrups, providing quick relief during respiratory distress.
Conclusion
Maintaining the purity of salbutamol is crucial for its safety, efficacy, and regulatory compliance. Pharmaceutical manufacturers employ rigorous quality control measures and analytical techniques to monitor and control impurities throughout the drug's production cycle. By ensuring that salbutamol is free from harmful impurities, healthcare providers can confidently prescribe the medication for effective management of respiratory conditions while prioritizing patient safety.
