I'm kinda glad Dungeon Meshi stopped being popular because I just couldn't fucking stand the dumbass drama and discourse. Especially since ppl were just fabricating it because there was nothing to argue about in the source material

#totally “loved” lesbians accusing the rest of “trying to take over with their non-lesbian ships”#while their lesbian ship was literally the most popular and iconic and wasn't threatened in its popularity even for a second #and may i remind you that it ISN'T canon just like the rest of ships so maybe just sit in the corner and calm down #and the idiotic discourse about laios being “racist” because... shuro wasn't honest with him. but ig it's the white dude's fault as always #like. the story clearly tells you that it was a miscommunication but the problem was mostly on shuro's side #because laios is literally unable to detect some suggestions. he mentally can't do it #while shuro didn't adjust his behaviour to a different culture and just. expected everyone to get it. sorry that's not how it works #there were others including kabru but tbh i don't even feel like listing them out. leave my complex guy out of that #not tagging the show because i don't want death threats in my inbox #but i'm just glad this shit is over and i'm mad because thus franchise is too good for what the fandom became #peak example of modern fandom culture #faceless
