it's weird to me that a lot of people don't know the obscure trivia for games that i do, like how is this not common knowledge
#in general but thinking specifically about unused content for games and stuff that never saw the light of day except in datamines#or stuff like that#or tech demos that ended up only showing up once that became rumored games that never came out ooooo spooky#but they ended up being turned into other games or at least used some of the tech for other games#how do people not know that you can z drop the hammer in melee while you're tumbling#or that ocarina of time has an ice spell animation unused in the code or that the triforce transition exists#or that one thing i posted about once where you get a special message if you lose in a very stupid very specific way in advance wars 2#and also random knowledge from messing with game editors#like how advance wars 2 has 5 unused unit slots#if you try to use one with animations on i think the game freezes or crashes don't remember which#bc they have no animation assigned#also no map sprite or any real data other than defaults maybe iirc#and they can't interact with other units in any way other than stopping the enemy from passing through#bc they don't have damage values assigned for interacting with other units you have to set those up yourself#there's also no way to buy them from properties bc they're not on the buyable list for any of them#so they don't show up until you modify the list in code#iirc you add their entry but you have to move the list elsewhere modify the pointer and stuff bc it's right next to other code#so if you wanna add stuff you're gonna have to move that data elsewhere in the code where there's enough space leftover

I'm pretty sure the cybertronium's winning and appreciate a human faker who's basically lying out of his a**
@krinsbez Sorry you're my Transformers person so is anything like this you know ever worked in Transformers I know famously there's that 1 time that that happened to spike and everything went f****** wrong
Lewis Smith is perhaps a case study in a kind of working but it's also clear that his transformation had a weird effect on his own mind at the very least his personal capabilities attitude and feelings. He goes from maybe speaking Japanese to be multilingual. Goes from envy, impressed by Isami and indifferent to leadership to Isami being the end all be all and clueless or forgetting how he comes off. He had some technical interest. But can you imagine him design and operating alien tech to build weapons invluding a secondary enhancement unit, hacking all the ststens and so on?
Imean he freaking died so that's going to have an effect and he definitely became hornyeah at the very least the first 3 or so episodes he doesn't seem to have a sense of boundaries are filter unlike when he was human
And finally he's way more freaking naive and straightforward in the man name and a punch of other things it's not that those personality traits aren't present before his transition God I really don't want to use that word
But it's clear that being tossed in Cunus's body affected him.
To be fair and I admit I'm totally projecting here I think some of it is revenant rules. like he knows he's dead and or dying he probably feels some of the inherent programming of the death drives so he sort of pushing it back by going to his own core formative ideas and identity and driving those at 250%
This is why he insists over and over and over and over again that he's brave on it's why he tries to distance himself from his human counterpart and for the most part set himself up to die
I just don't see that flying with the autobots
I'm not familiar how comics radimus prime has ultimately shook it out in terms of how he's characterized and thought of and so on
But I can't see him being like oh well let's make a close time loop happen where I basically kill a bunch of people rather than you know tell the basic a** truth
And then there's the hacking ability at least 70% of the b******* he pulls off is because effectively his minds become a free-floating consciousness centered around some sort of weapons platform that when it interacts with electronics and anything else that doesn't have a bio brain he subverts. With the most explicit being where he effectively punches human language and thus possibly a culturalization and at least the capacity for empathy into Superbia.
That s*** would be a major Transformers no no. It is especially an autobot no no. If it turned out that his very presence on the ship was causing everybody to be slowly reprogrammed and/or all the ship systems who were being altered because he felt like living in the out some weird hero fantasy or what have you as well as learn everything he can and integrate himself within or at least understand where one thing works and another thing doesn't and then just do whatever the hell he wants it will probably driving people crazy not to mention it's bound to cause an issue long-term
To be fair he never seems to show this ability at full strength against other death drive technology he needs to usually defeat whoever has overwhelming access in the area
In fact more so than any shown in or hero battles it feels like this is all a confident/psychological operation when you intimidate and or seduce the enemy in order to give in to it's well deft drive eventually they either stop using their powers effectively or you're able to overpower them possibly because they've given up control and allowing you to effectively turn it against them or turn it off enough that you can just overwhelm it
Hence the reason why he has to keep cycling himself up because that's how he interfaces with apparently his super hacking brain he just goes okay more bravery more power more spirit more love more determination and then I'll be able to undermine the system in order to kill the enemy
And finally it's not a minor thing that he's in unity with a human. like not even remotely minor
It is the basis of his personality actions and other 70% of his power. And no the math does not check out
Especially when he starts pulling moves such as exploding in mass because he's vibing with the courage of his entire team
Or unconsciously transmits an organic mind into her brain in the past
They probably think he's some sort of lying unicron cultist or something. Or at least spectacularly insane
anyway who's making the bravern joins the lost light au

my friend haaha is not about a fav ship, personally idc about ships in this show because i think all of them are pretty fucked up except maybe marper, anyway, thing is what i saw in tw i dont understand how the fandom in general specially does who ship them, thinks c/l will be endgame, let ship but is about the story, clearly this one always screamed bellarke in neon lights me coming from a casual can't understand how people can erase the story being told in the screen where is crystal.
I think a lot of people care more for their emotional attachments to characters and ships and also other fans than they do for what the story is doing.
It’s about priorities.
They are engaged in a communal act of storytelling in which the start with the canon content, latch onto the stories and characters they love, and begin to tell a mythology about them, create a world that goes beyond what canon does.
Fandom believes in their fanon because it gives attention to the things they think are important.
They aren’t interested in the canon. That is less important. It’s just important enough to feed their outrage and bond over mutual upset and the feeling of being targeted, and betrayed. They are not a UNIT brought together through love of their ship and HATRED of their enemy, the canon/competing ship/JR.
You’ve seen lots of people who seem to understand Canon just fine say straight out that fandom is more important than canon and fans are more important than story or creators. And those are the people whose ship is still alive and still possibly endgame.
Fandom is not the same as story analysis. The story seems to come second for a lot of fandom.
That said, fandom is not one monolithic creature.
Lots of us engage in different ways. Some people only do fanfic. Some people love to know as much as the actors as possible. Some people engage with contests and fan awards. Some people analyze the narrative. Some people only talk about making their ship canon and imagining romance stories with them. some people stick to gifsets. Some people make fanvids. Some people do audience reaction. Some people have open active askboxes.
Not all these people agree about what fandom is or should be. People get mad at me because I stick to the text and think that’s the best way to fangirl, while they think it’s best to get emotionally involved in how the canon is destroying their OTP and engage in fanwars. Clearly I think I’m right. But just as clearly, they think they’re right.
I can’t help the way I fangirl. No that’s not true. I can help it. I’ve been engaged in almost all aspects of fandom except for the ones where i’d have to learn new skills like with vids or gifsets. And I’ve made the choice to let 75% if fandom interaction go... because it doesn’t suit my needs.
I’m never going to stop saying Stick To The Text when it comes to analyzing what’s happening with the canon. I am going to prioritize the canon story over people’s feelings about their ship.
HOWEVER, in fandom spaces where people are talking about their ship and loving their ship and relating in important ways for their emotional or psychological or social life, I’m going to say that canon is insignificant. This is why I don’t judge people for shipping something I don’t think is canon. I mean I don’t think it’s healthy to keep believing there’s a CL endgame with the canon we have, but it’s not my business. As a counselor and advocate for young people, I respect their need to engage with the story on the personal level.
My business IS however, that when antis invade my academic literary analysis and professional writer storytelling breakdowns and tell me I’m delusional for thinking what I think, I get to tell them why they are wrong about canon. Or so I think. Because that’s MY corner of fandom and it’s just as valid as their less canon based and more emotional shipping fandom.
Also, when we talk about FANFIC? Or any other versions of transformational work where people create their own stories, I will support all the creators. In fact, I support the canon creators, too, for the very reason that EVERYONE GETS TO TELL THEIR OWN STORY. And canon The 100 is Jason’s story. We don’t get to erase it because we want it to be different. It’s his. Go write your own.
All right. I don’t know if this has anything to do with what you were talking about, but you seemed to stop on HOW they could come up with the kind of interpretations that don’t fit the canon on screen. This is how I think.
They’re going into it with different agendas than you are. Because they have different agendas, their needs are different, their perspectives are different and their priorities are different.
None of that changes the canon, which will stay exactly the same once it’s been broadcast, even if they redo it like they did Star Wars, there will be the original and the edited version.
Our interpretation is what changes, because we change. The reason why I stick to the text, aside from the academic/teacher stuff, is because I prefer to know what’s happening in reality, CANON, before I come up with my theories and judgments and analysis. And I can’t do that if I alter canon.
