i ran out of character space so heres part 2. its off topic but i wish i had more asian friendsLOL im so serious. i kinda wish i could have other asian friends who could relate to me and share the same interests in me. some would even share the same interests as my bf just bc were both slightly weebs lolol but in a chill, not excessive way. i think thats why me and snow got along so well from the start without even meeting bc theyre my only friend who is also a nerd like that. were both foodies in our own way and were always down for asian food lol. theyre also my only “goth/emo” friend so we have the most similarities when it comes to our sense of style and like id honestly love to have like a cute goth/emo friend group. whenever i see my mutuals on ig who have those friends and they post pics im like..you guys look so cool together and im jealous lol and im jealous of the friend groups that take cute pics together fr. but yeah idk, id like to meet more asian people but how could that happen, its so specific lmao the only thing i could think of is that app but i cant just start using it without discussing it with my bf and thats what id be nervous about bc like wth i feel like its such a strange requestttt LOL and im scared of judgement so yeah. theres like a slight, slim chance hed let me. i feel like the only way hed really be down for that is if we could share the acc on our own phones. (i think im actually gonna see if thats possible). he at least wont be turned off about the opportunity of making potential friends! he barely has friends to hang out with and i feel bad that he doesnt have a true friend group to do stuff with. his best friend lives in florida (like mine), him and his close friend went separate ways in life, and his school friend is no more in the picture. so like everyone he genuinely hung out with is just unavailable & all thats left are like the little friends that arent life long, yknow. i would like for him to find people he can share the same interest with but even when he tried finding them online they didnt stick. so yeah thats been on my mind. another kinda off topic thing is how hes been bad with replying lately!!! like he’ll just fall asleep early without saying anything to meee. like I KNOW hes on his phone from the time hes eating and in bed ready to sleep. the least he could do is send me a msg!! itll be like 9pm and he disappears:( its the worst on days where im so busy at work so i barely talk to him but then once im finally out hes not always responding fast enough, so again, barely talking that day. he’ll go out to eat lately and not share what he eats with me or send msgs in general! ik it sounds extra i guess but like he can at least send me a pic of something! im always sending him pics when im out with other people and sharing with him what im experiencing and he lowkey sucks at doing that. ill literally ask him to show me pics of places hes at bc he doesnt lol idk maybe its bc i like taking pics in general. but anyways, hes been replying so slowly lately so its been bothering me and also the weed!! how he starts to go nonverbal and then knocks out early when we take edibles bc he takes an insane amount of mgs and so were just on two diff levels of high as the day goes byyy. when we were eating out that day i suddenly told him that i think he overdosed on the edibles lmaoo i couldnt keep it in any longer. he now takes 500mg of a punch bar!!!! he gets the 1000mg bar when he used to get the 250mg one. he would take 2-3 squares. then it was 3-4. hes done the whole 250 maybe multiple? times (ik at least once) now its always 500!!!! &if im being truly honesttt, i dont like it. i dont like how hes like out of commission early. i used to throw up so much from bad trips and turns out i was just taking too much lmao i would get bad motion sickness or id eat too soon/too much. so id be so out of it and i hated that feeling so much and he would be awake and fine. id eventually come back to reality & wouldnt feel sick anymore but now its like the opposite, except he doesnt wake back up!!!!!

im watching these videos outta the adobe max conference for school and tbh its RLY making me realize how much adobe being an industry standard isnt all that great..

like i watched this one where this woman takes her sketches into illustrator to establish color then starts drawing in photoshop n im like arent there? better drawing tools even with adobe programs than ps?? and its making me reflect like. earlier in the semester one of my profs wanted two versions of a product done in two diff adobe programs and most of the class used their own personal drawing programs instead of ps and then imported it in and saved it to make it “ps” version. and one of us confessed this during critique and then several others followed and the prof jus came back like, asking the names of these non-adobe apps to remind himself and jus talked over it in a way that was v denouncing of it all? like nothing could beat ps for him. and i mean we all have preferences but i dont think teaching future designers that adobe is the only way is rly.. good.

esp w the new user agreements that are saying you arent even owning the product when you pay for cc every year. like at this point youre lowkey renting adobe apps and for a loooooot of money. like i get theyre advanced programs but theyre also super overpriced. its kinda been disappointing to see all these ppl fall back only on adobe apps when there are different, easier solutions bc thats all they know and/or thats the way theyve sold their soul to. 

its rly disappointing esp in my digital art class this year that i was super excited for in the beginning but now cannot stand. what i thought was going to be like tips for drawing digitally etc etc has been how to use adobe illustrator 101. thats it. which like. if you wanna run your class that way thats fine but its not very practical?? ig before this conference i jus didnt know adobe was so global, so worldwide, which like.. if its an industry standard globally thats rly a shame actually. but i remember near the start of the semester thinking this class is so one-dimensional what if some of us go work overseas and dont have access to illustrator? how will any of what weve learned in this class be applied outside of it then? and now im realizing that these ppl expect us all to take our tricks weve learned w operating “adobe only” programs and go out and excel. 

but if you strip away the need for adobe, what is left in the end?? are we actually learning how to be designers if we cant operate w/o specific software? shouldnt time in class be better spent learning more generic stuff that can be applied to anything? 

idk im jus ranting at this point. jus things ive observed this semester. its rly opened my eyes to the level my schools gd program is at. but like. also made me realize it it could be a bigger issue? like maybe thats how classrooms across the country are being operated -by teaching adobe.

Loki Week!

Thur 8/6 big ass spider crawling on the ceiling towards us the night I began reading about Odin/Loki. My mother who passed 6/1 had an Odin tattoo for … questionable reasons…it was something I never gave much thought to, until that night. I began to read about the nazis vs the lovely lgbt/progressive type Heathens to exist… Loki…genderben- holy shit that huge black spider on the ceiling is coming right at us. “it musr be one of them” I…joke.

Fri 8/7 Spider dangled down an inch from my face randomly out of nowhere from the ceiling at 4 am…this isnt fucking funny anymore! Same day, my partner and I are driving around and we see a sign that says “SALMON” and I go, ooh, becahse I love Salmon. LOKI under the sign. I just look at her. “No..I..uh..saw that too”. After we see one band shirt that is very familiar to us and not normally seen in this neighborhood, as well as a license plate from state where partner was born with college sticker of place near where my mom lived/died… theyre in two diff states (Illinois vs Texas), … we are in WA state. Admittedly it is very scandinavianly influenced in this neighborhood, its..weird but not impossible to see “loki salmon” … but… to live here 6 years and never notice that until..now?

Sat 8/8 Told friend abt this, she was like wow weird, but is generally not spiritual - later on I saw one of her social media pages accosted literally by some probable Nazi named “Odin” (there is context that this dude was as my friend runs a leftist page) 🤦🏼‍♂️🤦🏼‍♂️🤦🏼‍♂️. That night read abt Lione Gate unrelated to all this - later saw about Sirius and Lokabrenna. What the fuck timing!

Sun 8/9 Asked for …a verification of sorts from Loki, and was imagining a hammer necklace, left a sweet offering out at work to ask to deter shitty customers - a couple came in, one wearing a hammer necklace, the other told me theyd been practicing asatru for 13 years, it felt very Meant… they were super nice. And again, not entirely impossible as there is some scandinavian influence in this area and I have seen people wearing hammers (who were pagan) before but… not often at all, and not on a day when I asked for it as confirmation after leaving an offering…

8/10 Mon I had told different friend abt all this, and she is neighbors w a literal famous witch and bellydancer we know. She says a mutual friend Im aware of is carrying hammers now for pagan reasons. I reach out to him cos…yknow. Hes totally got rune tattoos and is devoted to Thor. Damn OK.

8/11 Tue “ ” not sure/dont remember, but lots of costar and other astrology apps being like “believe the unseen” and “trust your psychic intuition” and oddly relatable shit within these few days

Wed 8/12 general good luck, we moved into new place this day and some tarot I ordered THE DAY BEFORE came in the next day (I didnt know the fulfillment center was so close and it said to expect a week). later googled an actor in a movie we were watching and facepalmed because his last name was “Lokey” 🤦🏼‍♂️

Thur 8/13 nothing too crazy, saw an ice cream truck (?) near my old apartment at a weird time, looked for dogs and the FIRST dog listed on the adoption site was named Loki...

OH OK THE OTHER DAY I was w my friends and we were taking about old games we used to play and I remembered official this lps game that was like. Ok so basically you collect the animals and there are diff groups and they all have 5 diff kinds of that pet in diff colors and you could unlock all them through little minigames and stuff...And the app was just called Littlest Pet Shop so I went to redownload it and I couldn’t find it on the appstore??? Eventually I just went into my purchased apps and I redownloaded it from there but they took it off the store and it’s so sad bc it’s so fun. I just thought maybe maybe u knew of it and if not you would enjoy the story...ok that’s it mwah hope you’re well :)
