Ah yes, these two.

When I started this verse I didn’t really plan for them to really cross paths much but then I made the whole time travel/time loop subplot and whoops they’ve got a bond now. Initially because they’re the only ones who were aware about the whole ‘fate’ thing and how they felt lost once they no longer had that once ever present, guiding force. Then subplot happens and the things they (actually mainly Hikari im sorry girl) go through end up making them matter so so much to each other.

Long story short Calem dies and Hikari keeps trying to undo it. After many failures they get a compromise; he gets to live, but only as long as she does. And she’s got years of her initial lifespan taken off because of how long all of her attempts took, so they essentially meet halfway. They do manage to live the rest of their lives to the fullest and remain close through the years despite living in different regions.

Anyway this little thing is a moment of peace for them way before any of that heavy stuff happens.
