ok so the nobody's soldier music video was fucking fantastic, i don't know where to begin. but i'll try my best.

1. first and foremost, holy shit the visuals here. the objects with the words on them are probably my favorite part. like the little girl's shoe with "collateral" on it? the helmet with "profit"? oh my god? but also the shots of the currency and the businessmen, it just drives the message home so well. speaking of the message...

2. yeah this music video screams in your face the actual meaning behind nobody's soldier. and i absolutely love it. there is no hiding that what he's trying to convey here is that this song is anti-war. not only that, i feel like it also criticizes the government for treating people like business deals. long story short someone call up that person on tiktok that said it's about fame and break the news to them.

3. the only part i'm not understanding initially is the dolls. like i understand in essence, but not enough to out it into words (if that makes sense). i've only seen the music video like two or three times, so i'm sure if you give me some time i could get it more. but yeah.

anyways, tldr: nobody's soldier kicks ass and is anti-war as fuck, as it should be.

Yes. I will elaborate.

1. Born in 1990. (Basic af, but it’s there)

2. Identified by their last names. (Like I know it’s Kento and Andrew, but Nanami and Hozier are ICONIC.)

3. Kind. (The bakery scene. It gets me every time. To me, it’s ultimately his kindness that sends him back to sorcery. For Hozier, how he treats his fans, the way he speaks with such kindness every time he addresses them. Also, the readings he did during COVID just melted my heart.)

4. Protective. (Nanami of the children and women when presented with direct danger. Hozier of various groups as shown through his social media.)

5. Look killer in a suit. (Do I need to elaborate?)

6. But (and this is a personal preference), they look even better in a cozy sweater holding a book.

7. Hate capitalism.

OOOOOHHH!! **rolls up my sleeves** I will very happily oblige and tell you about my professor! AU, I LOVE THEM SO MUCH!!!!!!

I'm not going to reveal anything about the plot yet, but...

Both Andrew and Y/N are professors at Trinity College, in literature. He writes poetry (instead of singing, I still had to make him an incredibly talented poet...). GLASSES! TURTLENECKS! You know his grey suit he wears sometimes during shows... that vibe. With glasses. That and his brown vests MY GOD!!!

He's specialized in modern literature (modernism, stream of consciousness and contemporary poetry kind of vibes...), she's specialized in feminist literature and the use of gender-normative discourse in literature (they will bond over being feminist icons).

He's shy, and clumsy, and an absolute heartthrob even though he is incapable of taking a compliment and thus rejects that fact entirely. Students obviously ship them together. He is also an absolute fool (romantically speaking). Feminist icon, obviously. And the absolute sweetheart he truly is, of course.

Elwood will be here too, I haven't included Raine yet, but I will, she is the BEST.
