"Did you know a human pinky can easily be bitten off but our brains stop us from doing it?" - Cole to Connor, using this as small talk because obviously what else would a nine year old talk about?

The android paused and looked at his own pinky. As someone who wasn't human he could easily disconnect his own finger without a second thought. "Please promise me you won't try to do so. Hank would be very upset if I allowed you to bite your own finger off."

"Lieutenant," the RK900 said as he approached the old detective. Hank had just got back from a solo patrol and Miles was eager to speak with him. "Have you spoken to Connor recently? He was supposed to go talk to Miss Wyatt at the funeral home about the autopsy she helped with yesterday. No one has heard from him since he left and I'm unable to connect with him." That meeting was supposed to have been several hours ago, but the RK800 was no where to be seen in the station. And if Miles couldn't connect with him, that meant his communication system was down. Or worse.

For a split second he almost mistook the 900 for Connor...the two looking nearly identical. "No, can't say I have...it's not like him to go silent like this" He didn't like that Miles couldn't connect with him.

"Has anyone gone to check the funeral home yet?" It really was strange that no one had heard from him, and frankly it was starting to worry him. "Technically we can't really report him missing for forty-eight hours...but something seems fishy here, especially if you're unable to contact him"

I've been like "damn my bed is squeakibg more than usual, maybe something's finally wrong with the frame" but then just now i moved something close to the bottom frame & it's magically less noisy. Idk how that happened but. Ok.

The Captain waits until it's just him and the android left in the office before he approaches Connor. He lifts a hand up to gently grip the androids jaw, tilting his head just enough to easily lean in and press his lips against the 800's cheek. "Good job today" He says simply, adding a pat on the shoulder before he heads out of the office for the day.

60 sort of side eyes the captain as he steps closer and takes him by the jaw. His confusion only grows when he feels the kiss pressed to his cheek. The good job and pat on the shoulder simply adds to it. He sits there for longer than he probably should have, trying to process it. This absolutely wasn't standard protocol and raised way too many questions.

But it still felt nice.

Okokok so my music taste is pretty diverse I have at least a little bit of a ton of different genres but I bear a lot of preference towards metal and adjacent genres (nu metal, etc)

My favorite artists, as you probably read from my intro, are Bad Omens, Linkin Park, Sleep Token, 100 gecs, Three Days Grace, MCR, Dead Poet Society, and VIOLENT VIRA (idk if there were more than those)
