New OLED, QLED and NanoCell TVs 2019

This review is updated regularly with new models Last updated: September 13, 2019 Of course, competition requires companies to constantly expand the range and functionality of their products. This axiom holds for all segments of consumer electronics and the TVs was no exception. In just a few decades, companies have developed and introduced QLED, OLED, NanoCell, HDMI 2.1, Dolby Vision, HDR technology and many other innovative technologies. This year, their range has also expanded significantly. Of course, the review format does not pretend to be a complet, but it includes some promising models. Review includes the following models from major market leaders: - LG Rollable Signature Series R9, LG Z9 8K HDR OLED TV, LG SM9500 4K HDR LED NanoCell TV and LG (B,C, E, W) 9PUA 4K HDR OLED TVs (all w/AI ThinQ); - Sony X950G 4K Ultra HD Smart LED TV with HDR and Alexa; - TCL S425 4K UHD Smart Roku TV; - VIZIO P-Series Quantum X 4K HDR Smart TV.

LG TVs

Of course, this company needs no introduction. LG annually offers its new developments and this year was no exception. LG Signature Roll Up R9 4K HDR OLED TV at CES 2019 made an indelible impression on the most imperturbable viewers.

This model has all conventional pros and cons of OLED technology, uses 2nd Gen α9 Processor and WebOS 4.5 with Alexa. Unfortunately, its peak brightness is only 800 nit. According to LG, the Signature Series R9 will be available at the end of 2019, but in a 65-inch version only. But we can only guess about the price. In addition, the company announced the first LG Z9 OLED TV with 8K resolution and design in the "wallpaper" style.

Additionally, LG continued to develop its LCD NanoCell TVs by introducing LG 4K HDR Smart LED SM9500 NanoCell TV w/AI ThinQ.

Moreover, the company promises to announce its first 8K LCD NanoCell TV by the end of the year. It will be called LG SM99, have a full array of local dimming (FALD) and HDMI 2.1 support. Besides, the company introduced the ninth 4K OLED series, which continued the popular 2018 4K OLED series. As known, it included B8, C8, E8, G8, and W8 series. Accordingly, new series includes B9, C9, E9 и W9. B9 uses α7, other newer models use α9. By analogy with the 8 series, the models differ mainly in design and speakers. LG C9PUA 4K HDR Smart OLED TV w / AI ThinQ claims to be the most popular. This model can be considered an improved version of C8 (C9 vs C8.)

As known, OLED panels use organic light-emitting diodes, which are a separate light source with individual brightness adjustment.

Of course, such a natural local backlight does not require backlighting, providing absolute black and, therefore, unlimited contrast. Very high contrast, uniform illumination and very wide viewing angles provide perfect color rendering. Unfortunately, a relatively short service life of the blue subpixel and very high price significantly limit their popularity. Today, LG is a leader in this area. In recent years, the company has been able to significantly reduce the cost of OLED-panels and extend their service life. For example, the B8 55-inch today costs about $ 1,300. As a result, LG 4K OLED TVs have become very popular in recent years. The LG C9 2019 is well positioned between the budget B9 and the more expensive E & W models, providing an awesome OLED picture quality at a reasonable price nearly $1,500 for 55 inches.

This series uses 55-, 65-, and 77-inch matrices. Like all new LG TVs, the C9 has an α9 Gen 2 Intelligent Processor, supports HDR10, Dolby Vision, HLG, and Advanced HDR standards, HDMI 2.1 and Google Assistant, and uses the excellent WebOS 4.5 with Alexa. Of course, the company did not forget about traditional LCD TVs, introducing the budget LG 4K series from UM71 up to UM76, and LM63 1080p series.

Sony X950G 4K Ultra HD Smart LED TV with HDR and Alexa Compatibility

Sony X950G 4K LED TV uses FALD (full-array local dimming), and has an impressive specs.

Key features: - 4K (3,840 x 2,160) resolution; - supports High Dynamic Range, including HDR10, Dolby Vision, and Dolby Atmos standards; - full-array local dimming; - 120 Hz refresh rate; - DCI-P3/10-bit color space; - Android OS (Android Oreo 8.0 with Google Assistant). Android-based smart platform supports apps like the Google Play store, etc. Unfortunately, it has the traditional disadvantages of LED models, including too aggressive local dimming and narrow viewing angles. Accordingly, the TV distorts colors when viewed at an angle, limiting the choice of a convenient location. Moreover, the model provides an HDR color gamut without margin, inferior to other TVs in this price range. But overall, the X950G looks great. With the exception of narrow viewing angles and not ideal color accuracy, other aspects correspond to a very high level. TV provides excellent contrast and image clarity even in brightly lit room. This series offers four sizes, including: - 55-inch (XBR-55X950G); - 65-inch (XBR-65X950G); - 75-inch (XBR-75X950G); - 85-inch (XBR-85X950G). Depending on the diagonal size, today their price ranges from $ 1,200 to $ 4,500, respectively. 75-inch and 85-inch models support Sony's X-Wide Angle technology. Maybe the company slightly exaggerates its effectiveness, but this technology really increases the color accuracy.

The X950G uses 4x HDMI 2.0a (1x ARC), 2x USB 2.0, 1x USB 3.0, component, LAN ethernet port, RF input, optical audio output, headphone jack, providing all the necessary connectivity.

Testing

The reputable reviewed.com provides the following Performance Testing results: - HDR contrast (brightness/black level): 670.8 nits/0.112 nits; - SDR contrast (brightness/black level): 431.1 nits/0.075 nits; - HDR peak brightness: 1,198 nits (20%); - HDR color gamut coverage: 92% (DCI-P3/10-bit); - SDR color gamut coverage: 97% (Rec.709); - viewing angle: ±16°. Of course, this is a very high contrast for LED TVs even with FALD. Peak brightness for SDR ranges from 400 to 500 nits, which is enough for a well-lit room. But for HDR mode, it reaches an unprecedented 1,200 nits, providing this series a huge advantage over its competitors. The native 120Hz panel with X-Motion Clarity technology handles motion perfectly, delivering smooth playback for gaming, sports, and low-FPS content.

Additionally, TV provides surround audio playback using Acoustic Multi-Audio.

Overall, the X950G is a superb choice for a lit living room, but with some nuances, including narrow viewing angles and, sometimes, excessive brightness.

TCL S425 4K UHD Smart Roku TV

For several years, TCL TVs stably present in most different TOP lists in the budget and mid-price segments. High quality at a low price ensures them with an excellent price / quality ratio, providing a place among Best Sellers. Of course, TCL does not stop there, constantly expanding their range. This year was no exception and the company introduced the 2019 TCL 4 Series.

This series offers follow screen sizes: - 43-inch (TCL 43S425); - 49-inch (TCL 49S425); - 50-inch (TCL 50S425); - 55-inch (TCL 55S425); - 65-inch (TCL 65S425); - 75-inch (TCL 75S425). Their price ranges from $ 280 to $ 1,000. 4 Series has three HDMI 2.0-compatible ports, a USB 2.0 input, an ethernet port, a shared component/composite input, and a coaxial jack. Key features: - 4K resolution (3,840 x 2,160); - High Dynamic Range compatibility (HDR10 standart); - built-in Roku streaming platform with Roku remote; - Native 60 Hz refresh rate. As usual, the Roku smart platform and remote are simple and user-friendly. Today it's rightfully considered one of the best. But calibration is ineffective without the Roku mobile app. HDR tests show better results compared to SDR, but the difference is not significant due to the low brightness, which does not exceed 300 nit even for the HDR signal. Therefore, the playback quality of HDR content is visualized only in a dark room. Unfortunately, viewing angles reach only ± 22 °, after which the contrast of the panel deteriorates significantly. In general, this series of TCL TVs reasonably claims to take its rightful place among the Best Sellers in the budget segment.

VIZIO P-Series Quantum X 4K HDR Smart TV

Vizio TVs have long and successfully competed in the budget segment. But over the past few years, the company has introduced a line of TVs that successfully compete in the middle and even top range with recognized leaders. In 2019, the company continued this trend with the introduction of several gorgeous Vizio P-Series Quantum X models.

The Vizio P-Series Quantum X or PQX offers 65-inch and 75-inch TVs only: - 65-inch Vizio PX65-G1; - 75-inch Vizio PX75-G1. Today, the cost of a 65-inch model does not exceed $ 2,000. 65- and 75-inch versions use different amounts of local dimming zones. In particular, the 65-inch PQX has 384 total local dimming LED zones compared to 480 in the 75-inch PQX. Accordingly, the 75-inch PQX provides higher performance. On the other hand, today both models can claim the status of brightest TVs, providing up to 3,000-nit peak brightness. For comparison, today HDR-capable TVs with 1,000-nit brightness levels are considered very bright. Key features: - 4K (3,840 x 2,160) resolution; - Quantum dot display; - HDR10, Dolby Vision, and HLG support for HDR-content; - FALD (full-array local dimming); - 120 Hz refresh rate; - SmartCast 3.0 smart platform; - built-in Chromecast support; - Apple AirPlay 2 support; - DCI-P3/10-bit color space. Testing in Calibrated picture mode from reputable reviewed.com showed the following results: - HDR contrast (brightness/black level): 642.8 nits/0.081 nits; - SDR contrast (brightness/black level): 354.2 nits/0.076 nits; - HDR peak brightness: 2,057 nits (40% white); - SDR peak brightness: 1,149 nits (40% white); - HDR color gamut coverage: 95% (DCI-P3/10-bit); - SDR color gamut coverage: 98% (Rec.709); - viewing angle: ±12.78°.

Conclusion

1. LG has maintained its innovative leadership by introducing in 2019 the Rollable Signature Series R9, Z9 OLED TV with 8K resolution and LG SM9500, which continued the development of NanoCell technology. 2. Sony introduced the very bright X950G series with high image quality and relatively low price. 3. TCL introduced the S425 4K UHD series with Smart Roku at a great price, which is likely to take its place among Best Sellers. 4. VIZIO presented its best models, which today are brightest TVs. Their very high brightness provides excellent contrast. In addition, quantum dot display covers about 95% of the wide P3 color gamut. As a result, the 65-inch PQX delivers image quality that is comparable to the LG OLED C9. But LG’s popular flagship costs $ 1,000 more. Of course, a narrow viewing angle that cannot compete with the super-wide angles of OLED models, occasional light bloom, and not ideal Smart platform are still inferior to the flagships of the leaders. But the very low price for this class with a margin compensates for all the shortcomings, providing these models with huge growth potential. 5. Unfortunately, the expansion of functionality with innovation technologies does not always compensate for the decrease in prices for previous models. As a result, this list not completely match to TOPs from experts with most successful models in terms of their price / quality ratio. In addition, it differs significantly from the Best Sellers list, the contents of which depend primarily on the price and includes mostly the most successful budget LED models. Living with the OnePlus 6 for a week

Over the years, OnePlus has evolved as a brand whose primary focus is providing great value to its customers. For the most part, they have been doing it right with their "Flagship Killer" devices. So, like every year, with the bi-annual upgrade cycle, OnePlus launched a new phone, the OnePlus 6. A lot of rumours and expectations have made rounds before its launch, especially regarding the NOTCH, a lot of which have been met.  

Here’s a summary of the experience of living with the device for a week, covering all the positives and negatives of the device.

Let's first get the specifications out of the way:

Oxygen OS (Android 8.1 Oreo)

Alert Slider

DESIGN

The OnePlus 6 is a well-built device, with an all-glass body from front-to-back. OnePlus says it's built out of Gorilla Glass 5, which is assumed to be more tough and resilient. On the outside, the device has got an alert-slider above the usual Volume UP, Volume DOWN button, and Power Button. It has a single speaker on the bottom, which is impressively loud. The Oneplus 6 DOES have a 3.5mm headphone jack (in case you are still using a wired-headphone). For authenticating, they went with two options, with the fingerprint sensor moved to the back of the phone under the Camera and, a face-recognition mechanism, which is stupendously fast. Not to mention, the USB-C port that powers the device with Oneplus's own Dash Charge fast charge technology, that puts other chargers to shame.  

It’s 2018 and talking about design would not be complete without taking the famous NOTCH into consideration. Yes, it's there on the OnePlus 6. If you are one of the many that would argue its purpose in the first place... you do have the option to switch to a NOTCH-less display with the provided setting.

DISPLAY

The OnePlus 6 sports an AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2280 x 1080 at a pixel density of 402ppi. To make a display of that size fit on a smaller footprint, OnePlus had to get rid of the head and chin found on the previous generation design. Also, at a time, when most of the companies are coming up with at least a 1440p display, OnePlus is still stuck on a 1080p display. However, for a day-to-day use, you won’t notice much difference as the display offers a really sharp and crisp image.

SOFTWARE

The OnePlus 6 comes with Android 8.1 Oreo with OnePlus’ Oxygen OS on top to keep the experience as close to stock as possible. A newer version of Oxygen OS with Android P has been confirmed for the device later this year. To make life simpler, some new gestures have been introduced, which make the navigation buttons on the bottom obsolete. Though that’s a learning curve and takes time to get used to. Overall, the software experience on the OnePlus has always been a breeze, thanks to the Oxygen OS which has been very smooth and fluid.

 CAMERA

The primary essential these days in a smartphone is Camera. You use it all the time, from taking selfies, to clicking amazing landscapes, to snapping pictures of your pets. The OnePlus 6 has a good camera considering its price. But when you consider the tagline that OnePlus has been using for a while, the “Flagship Killer”, you need a phone that beats or stacks-up against other flagship devices in every department. With the OnePlus 6 you get a decent camera, decent because there is a lot of improvement that needs to be done, especially with the colour reproduction. A lot of the times, images produced from the camera are very vibrant and over-expose the subject. 

OnePlus 6 Vs iPhone 7 Plus - Cameras

The image from the OnePlus 6 (left) looks good on screen, but the blue and yellow colour come no where close to what those colours look in real life. The image from the iPhone 7 (right) Plus however looks a bit dull, but does an amazing job of depicting the object as close to accurate as possible. However, at the end of the day, it boils down to preference, some prefer sharp punching colours off the screen, while some prefer images as they are in real life. PERFORMANCE

The OnePlus 6 performs really well from day-to-day use to heavy use and handles almost everything thrown at it with ease. From multitasking, to running multiple heavy apps on  the background, to heavy graphic intensive gaming, the device doesn’t break a sweat and performs exceptionally. VERDICT

When gauging a device, it’s not about how it performs on paper, rather how it does when stacked up against other smartphones. OnePlus does that task pretty well by delivering flagship specifications on a device at a reasonable price, where other manufacturers are charging almost double the price. The devices from OnePlus have been known to age well, as OnePlus does an excellent job of providing updates to these phones over a longer period of time. 

After using the device for a considerate amount of time, there are a couple of issues that one can notice straightaway. The most noticeable among all is the number of scratches and scuffs the device gets due to its all-glass body. This design choice also makes the device more susceptible to damage, and with the no information on about the IP certification, there’s a lot of ambiguity around the device’s ability to withstand extreme conditions. 

The other disappointment is with the Camera, as the image quality hasn’t improved much compared to the previous generation devices, though there are some significant improvements in the video quality. The pictures coming out of the device are still not up to the point where it could be compared to some other flagship devices like the Google Pixel 2 and iPhone X. However, this can be improved to some extent with software updates in the future.

Should you buy it then?

So, if you are someone coming from an older OnePlus device like: 5, 5T, you can wait a year and see what OnePlus has to offer next year. The Oneplus 6 is currently my smartphone of choice. This is largely due the the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845's processors blistering speeds & graphics as well as the Oneplus 6 screen size. The notch doesn't seem to bother me at all... which is a surprise. Previously I was using a UK version of the Galaxy Note 8 with the Samsung Exynos chipset which is definitely a bit slower. However I still love my Note 8.

Anyway I decided to sacrifice the slightly superior super amoled display & stylus, for the amazing face unlock feature and the smaller footprint of the Oneplus 6. I do miss some of the edge functionality sometimes but not massively.

The cameras for me are a high enough quality for me. You can see what I mean in my Oneplus 6 camera comparison video. 

I am a huge fan of the Oneplus design this year. The glass finish gives it such a nice premium feel. However I did fit a Oneplus 6 Slickwrap onto the device to avoid scratches. Scuffing the device is definitely a concern. Check out my instagram to see how it looks...It's pretty awesome.

DIZAJN I ERGONOMIJA

Za mene osobno, možda i najveći adut Honora Play je njegov dizajn i opći dojam u ruci. Naime, unatoč dijagonali zaslona od prostranih 6.3 inča, Honor Play je prilično kompaktan i elegantan uređaj, a njegovo metalno kućište ulijeva dojam robusnosti i truda uloženog u izradu.

Svoju kompaktnost i prilično dobru ergonomiju može zahvaliti prije svega vrlo tankom okviru zaslona. Prostora uokolo zaslona je vrlo malo, po bokovima praktički nimalo, a ispod ga je taman toliko da u njega stane Honor logo. Gore na vrhu u urezu u zaslon, kojeg neki zovu zub, neki notch, a Honor “Praznina”, smjestila se 16MP selfie kamera, slušalica poziva, senzori i LED-ica obavijesti. 

Metalno kućište izliveno je iz jednog komada pa se prelijeva i preko bridova sve do blago zaobljena stakla sprijeda. Je li zahvaljujući nekakvu premazu ili nekakvoj posebnoj završnoj obradi, Honor Play nije odveć sklizak u ruci, što je obično slučaj sa svim metalnim telefonima. 

Honor Play vs. OnePlus 6

Na lijevoj strani ćete naći hibridnu ladicu za dvije nano SIM kartice ili ako to preferirate jedan SIM i jednu microSD karticu kojom ćete proširiti 64GB internog skladišnog prostora. Na suprotnoj strani su odlično izvedene tipke za kontrolu glasnoće i tipka za uključivanje/isključivanje uređaja. Na vrhu je tek sekundarni mikrofon, a na dnu USB C utor, glavni mikrofon, glavni zvučnik i 3.5 mm audio izlaz, kojeg danas sve teže pronalazimo.

Na leđima Honor Play nosi dvostruku kameru s LED bljeskalicom i odličan čitač otisaka. Ispod haube je integrirana baterija kapaciteta 3750 mAh, moja nije razočarala autonomijom.

Kao što rekoh dizajn i opći dojam je na vrlo visokom nivou, što još više dolazi do izražaja kad u jednu ruku primite Honor Play, a u drugu plastični Pocophone F1. Premda je prilično visok, meni osobno nije problem baratati njime i jednom rukom. 

Vodootporan nije pa ga nemojte uranjati u vodu, a budući da je namijenjen gamerima, bilo bi lijepo i da ima stereo zvučnike, no preživjet ćete i s ovim jednim.

ZASLON

Honor Play ima vrlo dobar 6.3-inčni IPS LCD zaslon formata 19.5:9 i rezolucije 1080 x 2340; (~409 ppi) pa u oštrinu prikaza ne morate dvojiti. Zaslon je lijepo čitljiv i pod kutom, a boje premda nisu baš na razini AMOLED panela, također izgledaju lijepo. 

Jačina pozadinskog osvjetljenja za unutra je više no uredna, a nije loš ni na otvorenom, premda tu od AMOLED panela uvijek dobijemo više. Budući da su šanse da ćete igrati igrice na zvizdanu skoro pa nikakve, ne vidim neki realan minus.

Zbog ureza na vrhu zaslona notifikacije i ikonice u statusnoj traci nagurane su i podijeljene na dvije strane. Oni, kojima smeta mogu ga u postavkama prikriti pa ćete dobiti dojam debljeg okvira. Nasmijao sam se na prijevod riječi notch s praznina.

Staklo zaslona blago se savija prema bočnim bridovima pa prst preko njega ne zapinje i klizi kao podmazan.  

Možda i najveći minus za na dulje staze je izostanak Gorilla Glass zaštite. U ovo kratko vrijeme, teško mi je reći, koliko je otporan na ogrebotine i pucanje.

KAMERE

Poput većine današnjih smartphonea, Honor Play dolazi s dvostrukom kamerom na leđima. Honor se ovdje odlučio na konfiguraciju 16MP f/2.2 + 2MP f/2.6. Ova 2MP pomoćna kamera služi izmjeri dubine i kreiranju nezaobilzanih bokeh efekata i portretnih snimaka. Sprijeda je 16MP f/2.0 selfie kamera.

Glavna kamera podržava fazni autofokus i stabilizaciju 1080p 30fps videa. Može snimati i 4K te 1080p 60 fps, što će poslužiti ako se ne krećete, u protivnom će biti prilično drmusavi. 

S obzirom na otvor blende od f/2.2 i bez OIS-a od kamere Honora Play ne treba očekivati čuda. Naročito ne u uvjetima slabijeg osvjetljenja. Dnevne fotografije s puno svjetla su dosta dobre s pristojnim dinamičkim rasponom, no kad se smrači, Honor Play se muči.

Sučelje kamere je kao na Huawei telefonima s hrpom postavki na raspolaganju pa i onim Profesionalnim režimom snimanja u kojemu se možete igrati ISO osjetljivošću, Balansom bijele, duljinom ekspozicije, fokusom i slično. Portretni režim pristojno, no ne i savršeno zamućuje pozadinu.

Implementiran je i AI, odnosno inteligentno prepoznavanje scena, koje će dodatno pojačati boje i prilagoditi algoritme u različitim uvjetima, a uglavnom se svodi na plavije nebo i zeleniju blitvu.

Prednja kamera također odrađuje portrete, posve softverski, a ima i osvjetljenje zaslonom kad lupate selfije u noći. 

Uglavnom, kamere Honora Play ionako nisu u fokusu, koliko bi trebale biti gaming performanse, no svejedno će zadovoljiti one koji uglavnom snimaju danju i nisu odveć razmaženi boljim kamerama iz top segmenta.

SOFTVER

Huaweievo EMUI sučelje povrh Androida mi nikad baš nije nešto sjelo, no prilagodljivost i fluidnost ostaju njegovi aduti. Ovdje EMUI 8.2 prekriva Android 8.1 Oreo. Kao i obično zadano dolazi bez ladice s aplikacijama, no može se uključiti u postavkama. Time se dobije prečac u doku ali ne i mogućnost uklizavanja u izbornik s aplikacijama, što je već neko vrijeme standard.

Zaslon zaključavanja će vas svaki put iznenaditi novim wallpaperom ali ćete ga najvjerojatnije preskakati skeniranjem otiska prsta ili prepoznavanjem lica. Ako tako podesite , podizanjem telefona pred lice, zaslon se uključuje, prepoznaje vam lice i otključava.

Početni zaslon na krajnjoj lijevoj stranici prikazuje Google Feed ali se može isključiti i onda cirkularno pretrčavati kroz stranice unedogled. Podržane su Teme, a dolje je prilagodljiva navigacijska traka. U njoj možete mijenjati raspored gumba pa i dodati onaj za spuštanje Centra za obavijesti. Tipka Multitasking omogućuje i Split Screen rad u dvije aplikacije istovremeno te čišćenje svih odjednom.

Navigacijsku traku možete i skriti ili uključiti prikaz samo jedne centralne tipke s gestama. 

Sučelje se u najvećoj mjeri prilagođuje oko ureza u zaslonu, no neke se prikazuju i tik do njega.

Zadani web preglednik je Google Chrome, a zadana tipkovnica Swiftkey. Surfanje je uz gaming jedna od ugodnijih aktivnosti na Honoru Play, što može zahvaliti moćnu procesoru i prostranu zaslonu.

Honor Play ima jedan pristojan zvučnik na donjem bridu, gameri bi naravno rado slušali stereo zvuk no toga ovdje nema. Barem je tu 3.5 mm audio izlaz kojeg mnogi danas nemaju. Honor sve to prati klasičnim aplikacijama Galerija, Glazba i Video, a nisam naletio na format kojeg ne reproducira. FM Radija nema, kao ni slušalica u paketu. 

Od predinstaliranih aplikacija dobro će vam doći Datoteke, Bilješke, Phone Clone, Zdravlje i Upravitelj telefona koji optimizira rad telefona. Ima i nešto bloatware aplikacija, koje se daju deinstalirati.

PERFORMANSE I BATERIJA

Honor Play u fokusu ima performanse i to one gaming performanse. Njih ovdje doista i osigurava omojezgreni Hisilicon Kirin 970 s 4+4 jezgre maksimalnog takta 2.4 GHz. Isti taj čip pokreće top modele poput Huaweia P20 Pro i Honora 10. Na raspolaganju ima 4/6 GB RAM-a i Mali G72 MP12 grafički koprocesor te žestoko promoviranu GPU Turbo softversku nadogradnju, koja dodatno boosta gaming performanse, no nije podržana u baš svakoj igrici.

64GB interne memorije moguće je proširiti microSD karticama ako se odreknete dual SIM telefonije.

Honor Play radi očekivano glatko i fluidno, a gaming performansama sam posvetio zaseban video, kojeg možete pronaći ovdje. Uglavnom, sve osim Fortnitea, koji vidno zapinje, Honor Play vrti super glatko i bez pregrijavanja. Asphalt 9, PUBG, Real Racing 3 klize. Valja uzeti u obzir da je Fortnite za Android u beta fazi, a zapinjanja zna biti i zbog Epicovih servera.

Čitač otisaka na leđima je brz i pouzdan, a isto vrijedi i za Face Unlock, barem dok je dovoljno svjetla na njuški. 

Telefonija i GPS pozicioniranje rade uredno pa nisam imao zamjerki. 

Baterija kapaciteta 3750 mAh je integrirana i podržava Huawei Fast Charge brzo punjenje pa se do 100% puni oko sat i 45 minuta. Osigurava vrlo dobru autonomiju s preko 8 sati uključena zaslona, naravno ovisno o tome što se pritom na zaslonu prikazuje. Gaming će naravno crpiti najviše, a ono koji se neće baš pretjerano igrati ni jašiti na telefonu, mogli bi Honor Play koristiti i dva dana na jednom punjenju.

OCJENA

Honor Play je telefon definitivno vrijedan vaše pažnje. Cijena od oko 2700 kn ili 370 eura nije pretjerana, a telefon izgleda izvrsno i radi izuzetno glatko. Kako i ne bi kad ima iznutrice iz top segmenta. Oku ugodan elegantan dizajn komplementira i prostran 6.3-inčni zaslon, vrlo dobra autonomija, sve rjeđi 3.5mm audio izlaz i utor za microSD karice te pristojne kamere, ako ne baš super kamere.

U minus stupac idu mu nešto slabije kamere u zahtjevnijim uvjetima, nepoznata zaštita zaslona, a kao gaming telefon, mogao je imati i stereo zvučnike i certifikat vodootpornosti.

Telefon koji mu trenutno predstavlja najljuću konkurenciju je Pocophone F1 iz Xiaomia, a za nešto više mogao bi se uloviti čak i Xiaomi Mi 8.

Huawei Mate 10 Pro Vs Google Pixel 2 XL: Which One to Choose?
