My Review: I was left with an ordeal in the Hero’s Quest of Dawsyn. This is the moment when the hero is tested and I badly wanted to read this book because I was left wondering. There’s a lot to love in this book: the storytelling and the style of writing that kept me hooked and reading, the well plotted story with a number of twists, the evolution of the characters. And we are back on the Glacial Kingdom that I loved so much as it’s a very original and intriguing piece of world building. This book is the one in the middle of the trilogy. There are some solutions, there’s evolution but there’s more to come. I had fun and enjoyed it, can’t wait to read the next one Highly recommended. You don't think Donnie is scary when he's angry?

NOOOOO nooo lol definitely not. donnie gets angry all the time in the show, and i think a defining feature of his anger is that it's very unfocused. he runs really hot. he cant think straight, he stumbles over his words, he paces and flails and rambles. he never lashes out violently, except for arguably the beginning of mind meld (the most notable example of this) where he literally just throws something. he's not the best at emotionally regulating. he's sensitive.

donnie at his scariest isn't when he feels in-the-moment angry, especially because he's shown not to be productive when he cant think straight. he's more likely to burst into frustrated tears or storm off to go cool down. i don't even think anger would be his first response if someone he loved got hurt, which is an idea with canon backing. he honestly just seems terrified.

i'd be more afraid of him when he's having a GOOD time tbh

thank you!!! fandom is always gonna fandom, reducing characters to two-dimensional tropes to make them mix-and-matchable. it's especially unfortunate when the characters we're given in Arcane are so rich and nuanced. the best antidote is to go back and rewatch the source material imo lol.
