pre-relationship 5: What would their lives be like if they had never met?

For Cori at least, meeting Shtola set them in such a specific direction! If they never met her, they wouldn't have joined the Scions, and like, everything that came with being part of the Scions wouldn't have happened. Cori might have left the Arcanist's guild after a while and gone off traveling, in search of ways to help and continue their studies, but I don't think it would have been as fulfilling for them as working with the Scions has been. And if Shtola hadn't met Cori...well i think knowing them has made her more hopeful, more optimistic, and more willing to believe relationships are worth the effort. Her life might not be that much different without Cori, assuming someone finds another WoL, but she'd be lacking that relationship with someone who can keep up with her, can challenge her and respect her and have a feeling of real equality between them. And maybe she would notice! Also she would definitely not eat as well as she does with Cori around.

general 12: Do they hide anything from each other, big or small?

Shtola doesn't really hide anything from Cori (i mean, since they got together and she doesn't have to hide her feelings anymore 😌). she's just very big on having all the facts out there, and to her I think that's always the best place to start from. Cori definitely has a tendency to try to hide her negative feelings--grief, pain, any kind of upset--not just from Shtola but from everyone. She's working on it though 😔

definitely Shtola is the one to convince Cori. Cori is trying to get up and get their day started, maybe make breakfast before they go. Shtola wants another hour of cuddles, and will act if she senses any weakness. Cori is very weak and it does not take a lot of convincing 😌
