The B-plots of "The Galileo Seven" and "The Mark of Gideon" aren't identical, but I do think it's pretty funny that the former hinges on Kirk fighting with some asshole higher-up who won't let him save Spock et al., and the Spock-figuring-out-what's-happening B-plot of "The Mark of Gideon" involves him fighting with various assholes including Starfleet higher-ups who are trying to keep him from saving Kirk.

But for Kirk, "fighting" = well technically according to regulation 347843874 paragraph 24 line 1731 I temporarily retain the authority to exercise my own judgment as commanding officer. So I'm just going to use my extensive knowledge of regulations to ... keep repairs and scans going until time runs out. In the meanwhile, you're free to get the fuck off my bridge

Meanwhile, Spock's reaction to tangling with obnoxious but not unreasonable higher-ups pretty much comes down to "Sir, for posterity, I'd like to register my considered opinion of this decision as fuck you, you fucking idiots" before fighting further obstacles. And by "fighting" I mean:

So in your superhero au, it was explained that Quackity or "Oberon" was an avian with the same storing instincts as Sapnap, but Sapnap didnt know how he dealt with those instincts. Quackity always just said he had a "friend" or "work associate" help him with that. Now it may simply be my own bias, but would i be wrong to assume that this friend is none other than Slimecicle?

Sorry, i see even a slight possible mention of that gunky guy and i jump around the room like im a rapidly deflating balloon.

Uh but also if it isnt Slimecicle please tell me about them anyways!! I wanna know who Quackitys been eating, cause if it isnt Karl or Sapnap OR Slimecicle then its gotta be some other character that hes very emotionally close with, and as far as dsmp lore goes, there arent a lot of those people around /silly

Yes it’s Slime!! He’s the second in command of the Las Nevadas Gang and Quackity’s most trusted friend.

Charlie Slime is the secretary to the Mayor of the Smp Schlatt, so he’s able to get a ton of information from people in high up places. Schlatt also owes Quackity (Q babysat his son so often that they’re basically coparents atp), so he’s fully aware of Charlie’s info theft and covers for him. He just doesn’t help (plausible deniability and all that if Charlie ever gets caught).

Charlie is also a supervillain in his own right named “Puck.” In the shakespeare story “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” Oberon is the king of the fairies, and has a right hand jester fae named Puck who’s a trickster, but is incredibly loyal to his king, so that’s where Charlie’s villain name came from.

Charlie’s power set is about what you’d expect: he’s a gooey gunky guy. His body is made of slime that can be morphed and stretched without pain or damage. He can look totally human, which is how he looks as Charlie, but as Puck he’s just a green translucent dude. He can also separate his slime and shift his consciousness between different pieces, or if he’s ever near a large body of water, can grow exponentially. This makes him a great spy tool in some cases (by putting his slime all over a building and having him jump between them) and an absolute tank in others. This is also how Q noms him: Charlie just shrinks and leaves behind the backup slime. If anything ever happens to the backup slime while he’s being stored (if he is away too long it will dry out and be unusable), Quackity can throw him in a bathtub and he’ll grow back to human size.

Also, since he’s indestructible, Q can swallow him down to his actual stomach, though he generally doesn’t since he doesn’t get anything instinctual from it. He just does it sometimes when he hasn’t eaten anything and Charlie insists that he have something in him. In those cases, though, Charlie puts his consciousness in the slime not in Q’s stomach so he can keep doing his job as a human, though he bounces back and forth to scare his boss.

After Lux is settle and Optimus had to sink in that he’s a Sire (and the horrible realization that he pretty much banished his pregnant ex, even though he didn’t know), he and Megatron have a chance to…simply talk things out. Perhaps Lux has allowed Megatron have a more clearer head and not filled by blind anger so he listens.

Words are exchanged, regrets are shared, and apologies are made on both ends. Maybe by the end Optimus & Megatron had come to an agreement. One that ends their conflict and for Lux to be both in their lives without conflict. Whether they’ll remain awkward friends who wants best for their daughter or getting back together is unknown but it’s a good start

Sorry, meant to reply earlier when I got the ask, but I've been procrastinating on about everything today, so it took a while

But anyways, I hadn't really thought that far in my own head, only really getting to Megatron's attitude when he first gets to Iacon, basically being on edge and ready to bolt with Lux the second things might go south or he's at risk of losing her, and Optimus probably realizing that he's acting weird and trying not to aggravate him more

I'm also thinking that Megatron doesn't immediately tell Optimus the full story on Lux, just that there's a sparkling there that needs help and hoping that's enough, dodging the question of why there's a sparkling there in the first place. It does eventually come out that she's theirs though, maybe through Starscream thinking Megatron already told Optimus, I'm not sure

I mean, she does look like a blue D-16 which is gonna raise suspicions, but the fact that she's specifically Optimus' isn't immediately found out (there's a good number of blue Decepticons anyways)

But as for what you're saying here, they probably would have a talk about this whole situation at some point, especially after Optimus learns Lux is his (it might be what causes this conversation even, or at least an argument preceding it), with Megatron eventually admitting that he's terrified Optimus will take her away from him

I don't know if the story would end with their feud being declared over. I mean, it would make logical sense honestly, since the Decepticons coming back to Iacon permanently would solve a lot of the problems this situation brought up, like the lack of necessary medical equipment for the Decepticons (they haven't done enough bad yet), or the problem of Lux spending time with both her creators

Maybe it just ends with them agreeing to try and work out an agreement, but we don't see where it goes from there, like what happens with the Decepticons? Which I'm realizing is what you said, them making an agreement. I just misinterpreted it as them officially declaring the war over and stuff. The end would just be like them planning on doing so

So yeah, I do like it. Gives an actual end to this story, which knowing me, I was probably never going to have one in my head anyways (and it's probably why I'll never get around to finishing Firestorm tbh), so hell yeah
