joão wasn’t supposed to be home this early. training usually ran late, giving you plenty of time to go through your whole hair routine in peace. but today, for whatever reason, things had been cut short, which meant he was now stepping into your shared apartment much earlier than expected.

the first thing he noticed was the smell, sweet, floral, and slightly fruity. not your usual perfume, but something that smelled like you.

the second thing? your hair.

his eyes widened the second he saw you.

you were sitting on the couch, scrolling through your phone, your curls still slightly damp but fully defined, soft ringlets cascading down your shoulders. joão had seen your hair like this before, but something about catching you right after wash day made him stop and stare.

‘woah.’

you looked up, amused. ‘woah?’

he set his bag down, stepping closer. ‘your hair looks… really good.’

you smiled. ‘thanks, i just washed it.’

joão flopped down next to you, still looking at your curls with fascination. he had wavy hair himself, but nothing like this.

‘so, like…’ he gestured vaguely at your head. ‘how do you get it like that? because my hair just… exists.’

you laughed. ‘it takes work, joão. a lot of work.’

he frowned, suddenly curious. ‘what kind of work?’

you got up, motioning for him to follow. ‘come on, i’ll show you.’

he trailed behind you into the bathroom, eyes immediately going wide when he saw the chaos on the counter.

‘yep.’ you grabbed one bottle and handed it to him. ‘this is my leave-in.’

he turned it over, reading the label like it held the secrets of the universe. ‘intense hydration for dry, damaged curls…’ he looked at you. ‘is your hair dry and damaged?’

‘no, because i use that.’

he hummed, grabbing another bottle. ‘curl defining custard? custard? like the food?’

you snatched it from him before he could say something even dumber. ‘not the food, joão.’

he moved on, picking up a tiny bottle of oil. ‘and this?’

‘that’s my hair oil. it seals in moisture.’

he popped the cap off, sniffing it. ‘smells nice. can i try some?’

you raised a brow. ‘you wanna try my products?’

he shrugged. ‘i mean, my hair’s wavy, right? maybe it needs moisture too.’

you smirked, grabbing a small amount of leave in conditioner and running it through his hair. he stayed perfectly still, watching you in the mirror as you gently scrunched his strands.

‘see? it enhances your waves,’ you said, fluffing his hair.

joão blinked at his reflection. ‘oh. oh, this is nice.’

you laughed. ‘told you.’

just as you were about to grab the oil, you heard a dramatic gasp.

‘amor,’ he whispered, eyes locked on the sink. ‘you’re losing hair.’

you sighed, already knowing where this was going.

‘joão—’

‘there’s so much.’ he turned to you, horrified. ‘are you okay? are you sick? are you dying?’

‘oh my god.’ you dragged a hand down your face. ‘i shed hair, joão. it’s normal.’

he didn’t look convinced. ‘but this is a lot’

‘do you panic every time you see hair in your barber’s cape?’

he opened his mouth, then closed it.

you smirked. ‘yeah. exactly.’

joão sighed, shaking his head. ‘this is too much. all these steps, all these products, all this hair loss… how do you do this every wash day?’

you leaned against the counter, smiling. ‘because when it’s done, i look good.’

he grinned, reaching out to pull one of your curls, watching it bounce back into place.

‘you look really good,’ he admitted.

you wrapped your arms around his neck, pulling him in. ‘i know.’

he laughed, pressing a soft kiss to your lips. ‘can i borrow your leave in?’

‘absolutely not.’

he pouted but didn’t argue, still fascinated by your hair. his fingers twirled a curl around lazily, watching it spring back every time he let go.

‘so, how long does this all take?’

‘on a good day? an hour and a half.’

his jaw dropped. ‘an hour and a half?’

you rolled your eyes. ‘it takes time to look this good.’

‘i don’t even spend that long in training some days,’ he muttered, shaking his head.

you snorted. ‘you also don’t have curls that need hydration and definition.’

he looked back at his own hair in the mirror, scrunching his waves. ‘maybe i should start a routine. do you think my hair can look like yours?’

you tilted your head, studying him. ‘with the right products? maybe. but you’d have to actually commit to it.’

he hummed, still scrunching his hair like he was testing it. ‘what if i just let you do it for me?’

you smirked. ‘absolutely not.’

he groaned. ‘but you’re so good at it’

‘then i’d have to do this twice every wash day. no thanks.’

joão sighed dramatically, still staring at his reflection. ‘fine. but you are helping me find the right products.’

‘deal.’ you grabbed your oil and rubbed some onto your hands, working it through your curls.

joão watched you carefully, his eyes soft. ‘you know, you’re kinda cute when you do all this.’

you snorted. ‘kinda?’

he grinned, wrapping his arms around your waist from behind, resting his chin on your shoulder.

‘okay, really cute.’

you leaned back against him, smiling. ‘good answer.’

he pressed another kiss to your cheek, sighing. ‘i still can’t believe you go through all this every wash day.’

NOW INTRODUCING.... THE CRITTERS !!!

Technically Corvid is still a part of an au, i really like everyone's designs so i guess its just like a weird little au that are also kinda ocs?? Idk. Im still tagging it as the animatronicfication au and using the other ccs names but im completely separating wilbur from Corvid.

The one that probably changed the most is simp LMAO i just went back to his old design that was inspired by Luna (@starrixle's transfem simpbur turned oc) and Spencer is such a fitting name in my mind i literally can not imagine him with a different name *bwomp*

ANYWAY INFODUMP TIME

Before we go into individual characters i want to say that this is absolutely Minecraft. Like. The world is built off of Minecraft lore yk !!!! The overworld will still be called the overworld but it's basically just earth, with more magic and humanoid species! Along with supernatural creatures and cryptids n stuff :D also with more advanced tech considering Corvid exists pFF

Spencer for the most part kinda was like he is in canon or whatever. She used to lean more towards incel ideology because she was REALLY insecure and uncomfortable with herself for the longest time. Despite that, Spencer and Adrianne (egirl) started dating when they were 17, his unhealthy obsession with her was only fueled by her unhealthy attachment to him. They needed each other and it wasn't good for either of them. Spencer had developed horrible separation anxiety which only made things worse. Over time Adrianne became suffocated by his constant neediness, overwhelming insecurity, short temper and lack of contribution to household chores. It pained her to leave, but things needed to change. It wasn't until the breakup that Spencer met Shepard, who was his first irl friend in a long time. They met when they were around 22/23, at first Spencer just used Shepard as a distraction from Adrianne, especially since he was surprised that they wanted to even be his friend in the first place. But after a while he genuinely started to enjoy their company, plus they offered him really good advice and helped him through a gender/sexuality crisis. Eventually they became partners! Maybe not romantically, as they're both aromantic, but life partners nonetheless.

OH and i did make Spencer white/Salvadoran. Her mom is the first generation from immigrant parents while her dad is British; And her dad's younger brother is Adam's dad! He's also an ex-christian, he left due to religious trauma and moved to America to escape his family hA

Spencer's also a no sabo kid LMAO (he knows some words/phrases but other than that he cant speak Spanish to save his life)

ALSO ALSO. Oh my god i could talk about Spence all day LMAO but i made him a werewolf !!!! Hes SOO jealous of Adam because she wanted the cat genes but instead got bitten and turned into a werewolf as a teenager. She's done a pretty good job at hiding it from her family so Shepard's the only one who knows.

I already dumped everything about Adam into that other post, so I don't really have much else to add. HOWEVER !! Him and Spence are cousins now :3 Adam doesn't get to meet Spencer in person until he moves to America with Charlie & co, but he does follow her socials with his secret accounts that his parents don't know about. The only reason they know they're cousins is because Spencer's dad told her so and she reached out! Much to the dismay of Adam's parents but they've secretly kept in touch online.

Keith's pretty much stayed the same apart from a slight design revamp. Although I've made him a little older since originally i made him look young. But then I decided hes a dad so i started drawing him older for the asks pFF he also has a hooked nose now! In case it's not obvious. Keith got married to Jean VERY young, they were maybe 17/18 in human years. It was an arranged marriage and their only goal was to have an heir to the throne. Well they did, they had two kids, the eldest being a boy named Lune and the youngest being a girl named Sunny, who's the would be heir. Until Jean took both the kids and left. It was completely unprompted and left everyone in the kingdom confused, especially Keith. Sure, they had a loveless marriage and maybe he was insufferable at times, but he wanted to make it work if not for the kids then for the kingdom! But its been almost a year since she left, he's lost hope in ever finding her. Keith desperately wants his kids back, not because Sunny is the rightful heir— though that is part of it—but he loves them both dearly. He misses them the most.

Wilfred has pretty much stayed the same as well! I did give him a grey tshirt and darker hair to further distance his design from wilbur though. Hes just as unhinged and immoral as he used to be !!!! Nothing has changed aside from appearance actually.

Tobi also pretty much stayed the same except for its now got an orange jumper and lighter brown hair pFF although i do now have a story for him! Tobi was found by Alejandro in a storage auction, he managed to sell a lot of pretty valuable things from there but Tobi stood out, obviously, so he kept it. Alejandro is a travel vlogger and lives in an RV with his friends: Tomas, Philip and Charles. His friends just call him Alex. Anyway, they go from town to town trying local food, visiting tourists traps and vlogging the journey! While doing that they also try to find out how to get Tobi's memories back and possibly turn him human again, if they even can. So far they haven't had much luck but maybe one day...

Corvid was created as the backup singer and lead guitarist of the first all animatronic band! Brought to you by Beloved Entertainment! The other members include lead singer Ranboo Beloved, keytarist Tommy Raccoon, and bassist James Tomcat. Located in Ranboo's Mega Pizzaplex, the only location in the world (so far). Corvid adopts a showman personality while on stage, hes charismatic and such a heartthrob, very popular with the ladies. Off stage he's very calm and soft spoken, he's rather shy but still manages to be a flirt and a tease. Lightly poking fun at his bandmates, coworkers and even guests at times. He's definitely a fan favorite for a reason!

You're the newest member of I.M.P. A few days ago you saw their help wanted poster and decided you needed the extra money so you decided to join. You got along really well with Moxxie, Millie and surprisingly Loona. The only person who doesn't seem to like you is Blitzo. He was always staring at you. Watching your every move like he's waiting for you to do something wrong. So you always tend to keep your distance.

Stolas has been watching you from the day he saw you in the I.M.P headquarters while he was visiting Blitzo. He's been obssessed with you ever since he saw you and has stalked you finding out your likes, habits, dislikes and everything else about you. He truly believes that you deserve so much better than what you have. He loves you and believes you deserve to be treated like a queen. A problem with that is that Blizto is also in love with you. Stolas notices the stares he give you and the longing look in his eyes. He's sure Blitzo has noticed his interest as well and thats probably why Blitzo hasnt spoken to him. But nevermind that.

You change into your PJ', get into bed and start scrolling through Helltok. "Ah shit its getting dark and I have to work tomorrow" you sigh. "I guess I should go to bed as Moxxie would say thats the responsible thing to do." You turn off your phone and go to bed. Stolas stares at you from the window wishing that he were next to you.

After a while he sees someone climbing onto your balcony. He's about to go stop him but then the two lock eyes. "Stolas?! The fuck are you doing here?!" He almost tumbles off the balcony from the surprise. "I should be asking you the same question Blitzo." "Look dipshit im doing the same thing you are but going inside." Blizto starts opening the window. "Wait! We shouldnt do that it invading her privacy." He goes to stop him but then Blitzo slaps his hand away. "Oh and stalking her isnt invading her privacy?! Look just leave ok if you dont wanna do this. Not like I want you stealing my girl anyways." He grumbles the last part but Stolas is able to hear him. "Well I sure as hell am not leaving her alone with you." "Then come in with me." He grabs Stolas's hand and stealthly brings him into the room. Stolas blushes at the sudden contact. You're dead asleep on the bed. "So smart ass what do we do now?" He tries to cover up the fact that grabbing Blitzo's hand made him blush. "We look around bird brain." Eventually after looking around for a while Blitzo decides to look your computer as Stolas watches you sleep peacefully. Out of the corner of his eye Stolas sees him breaking into your computer. "Hey!" He yells silently. "What do you think you're doing?" "I'm looking through her computer dipshit." Blitzo rolls his eyes as though its obvious. "Well yes I know that but why?" "To make sure she ain't seeing some other loser."

Blitzo searches and suddenly stops dead in his tracks. "You need to see this birdie." They stare at the computer reading you're messages with some guy named Dennis. "Oh hell no" they growl out in unison. You whine and shift in your sleep as they go dead silent. Once they're sure you're not awake they continue. "We can't let this shit happen." Blitzo growls with malice. "I completely agree. This dirt bag isn't good enough for our Y/N." Stolas nods. "Wait, our?" I'm so glad to see people point out how bad genshin has gotten. we have had 2 (TWO) male characters this whole region. and they just killed off the captain??? I'm PISSED!!! all the female characters suck too. they power creep existing characters and mechanics, their designs are so weird and out of place from genshin, their characters are so shallow etc.

I'm genuinely so surprised to see older players stick around. their hard earned artifacts, weapons, and attention to detail feels like it was ran over by mauvikas motorcycle. let's talk abt muavika, she's an expensive xiangling replacement. usually new archons shake up the game, she doesn't. yea she can fly, so can wanderer, chasca, kinich, etc, she can ride on water, most cryo units can too, and furina and mualani and Mona kinda, she has ok Pyro application, so does Thoma, xiangling, dehya, u get what I'm saying?

THE FANSERVICE OMG. if honkai has hot men, genshin is the other side of the spectrum. mualani has the weakest excuse for clothes, xilonens and citlalis jiggle physics gotcha ogling, chasca is wearing... that... and muavika has a zipper going up her cooch 😭😬 it's not hard to see how sexualixed all of them are.

I find it hard to believe that they can't make any more dudes. both guys we do have look too much like teens. I don't even wanna get into the race problem cuz 😬😬 everything that can be said already has been.

meta has been better, we have a geo kazuha now. yay. everyone else has been a main dps, subdps for nightsoul or a niche support. other than xilonen, I wouldn't pull for anyone else metawise. we desperately needed a better shielder, we got a wonky 5 star Layla. zhongli has been needing a buff desperately, if hoyo thinks he is the ceiling for shield strength. maulani, kinich, and chasca are all main dps, I don't even know what ororon and kachina do.

exploration is fine, there are chests everywhere, maybe to distract the players who find the dragons mechanics to be chunky and annoying. the region really wants you to have natlan characters though, and if you don't, you struggle a bit more. it looks pretty though, the art direction and landscapes are beautiful. plenty screenshots to squeeze in with the 5000000 gb game. I don't wanna get into the story, this ask has gotten wayyy too long

Just as me and the universe mutually agreed (after a much needed existential crisis) that, I am in fact, as gay as they come. Anyways, after that like any good lesbian I spiraled, told my guy best friend and my cousin, and embraced the term, and made a whole blog dedicated to the deep seeded regret regarding my wasted- homo- potential.         thanks to that curve ball universe, she was my friend, an old friendship that had ended mostly from stupidity on my best friend and her part. It ended mutually with no animosity but had recently creeped back in and coincidentally at that in the height in which my homo spidey senses where going haywire. To say the last i've never had a crush before,  like ever. I can’t remember a time when i would get butterflies or my confidence in making eye contact or even my ability to land a simple joke (which is more like never, im pretty funny if i do say so myself). So when she started hanging out with us my brain short circuited and she told us how BOTH of my friends had invited her to spend lunch and brunch with us, gee thanks. I want to make clear that even tho i haven't formally came out and been like “hey y’all im a big fat lesbo” to my three closest friends, SHE knows im gay, thanks to the handy dandy #wlw in my bio, which is as far as i'm coming out thank you very much. So let's just say the past 3 days have been hell, she knows im gay, i know shes gay i mean its painfully obvious because 1. she's a masc (long hair, plain shirt paired with baggy pants, rings on every finger she can get them on, and a nose stud)  and 2. the fact she's been OPENLY gay for years. So why in the bloody hell does she think its ok to like ALL of my stories, on my main and my spam. Swipe up to all the tik tok stories i've posted in the past 3-4 days (which is pretty much once a day because my outfits have been fire lately) with, and i quote “cutieee” “fit so fire” “heart eyes” “ZOO WEE MAMA *heart eyes*” “ how can someone be this pretty” “weird way to propose but yes” and “face card too lethal”. IT DOESN’T JUST END THERE she’s migrated to liking my very obviously targeted notes on insta so far consisting of “apple cider  by: beabadoobee” “i wanna be yours  by: arctic monkeys” and “bags  by clairo” and seeming replying with her own targeted notes like : “flaming hot cheetos  by: clairo” and now “thinking about you  by faye webster”, all this paired with targeted reposts on tik tok. DAWG IM TWEAKING OUT because all this raises the universal question of ‘is she flirting with me or is she just friendly” and despite the opinion of the only people who know i like her, i still can’t come to a solid conclusion. 

You might be thinking, “jade that's great and all but all this is online” does the fact that she laughs at ALL my jokes and somehow our eyes always end up meeting help my case. But it also makes me wonder even if everyone reading this was like, “omg she definitely likes you without a doubt” what would i do about it? I know id definitely confess i mean this stupid crush is literally keeping me up at night and eating me alive but even with a fresh set of ‘YOLO’ confidence, the insecurity of her rejection and the possible awkwardness or even worse, the chance she might not want to be my friend anymore is not a chance i’d like to take. I don’t think i’ve ever liked someone like this before, i've never gotten shy around anyone, choked up around anyone, avoided contact, and suddenly cared if my clothes or hair would impress someone, so it's all a new experience, so i fear I'm lacking the answer to the bigger question. But if you're looking for the definitive answer I'd say she does. She definitely likes you.

Yeah, so I was saying, old table, kinda stank. Like old people yeah? It was from our grandparents, grandparents, grandparents and so on it went, super ancient. Never asked how old it really was. Table was dark wood so It didn’t show much but still, it was the first time the pain actually registered as serious. It was also the last time.

Like a lot, I’m thankful you never got hurt as seriously as I did cuz I’m pretty sure I lost half of my braincells that day. Like the permanent vacation kinda lost. Yeah, so she saw the bleeding, and I like to think she thought she fucked up and all because she ran outta the room and called a number, which now that I think of it. Was probably our aunt, because no self-respecting people like her would actually call the emergency to treat the kid they were hitting.

-Please Don't Destroy: The Treasure of Foggy Mountain

random movie i decided to watch. saw a clip from in drew gooden's vid that was pretty funny, so why not, havent watched a genuine comedy in ages anyway. yeah its pretty funny. its filled exactly with my type of humour. hilarious cutaways and lines, simple stuff you'll see in so many other things that always gets me. i just thought it'd be really great if they used dummies like they did in older, classic comedies. seeing mannequins crashing through a window wouldve been sick.

oh boy. uhhh, i think i still feel the same way i said on my posts while watching it. lot of parts were fine, like the sibling stuff, the reason why i even care about this show, theyre really funny ngl. but plot was ehhh. the sparrows took a backseat and pretty much were wasted so fast in this season, real disappointing. and uhhh, really dont like some character decisions in this. that sucked but dont really wanna get into it. overall, mid season. wanted to like it, but it just fell short.

youtube channel dead meat suggested to watch this movie with no info whatsoever if you can, makes the twist more fun, and so i did that, and it was neat. i dont have a lot to say on it tho. didnt really blow me away or anything. its just a fun horror movie with a neat premise. one of the main reasons i like horror, i see a lot of fun ideas put out there and this is one of them. which i do appreciate.

i think this is the first mystery crime triller(?? i dont know genres wahh) that i watched in a while, and its also a werewolf movie kinda. i think its also fine, but saying that in a lower connotation. i dont know what to say about it mostly. the mystery part was neat, but im not familiar with this genre, like am i supposed to suspect who the killer is sooner, at least a bit? because it ends up being the first 6+ foot guy we meet, around the last twenty minutes of the movie. i dont know, i wasnt really compelled by the movie either way.

-Renfield

funny nicolas cage vampire movie. i enjoyed it. i will say that the romance subplot was done pretty not-annoyingly too, the lady being so justifiably standoffish after finding out renfield a fricking vampire, and then just warming up to him towards the end. this movie very ableist tho fyi. that was worth a constant sigh.

-12 Hour Shift

i consider this a dead meat classic. liked the kill count vid of it for ages but havent actually watched the movie myself, so why not? and yea this a decent movie. a string of mishaps throughout the whole night. and the reveal why it began in the first place was amazing lol.

wanted to watch this show for such a long time, ive been taking my time going through dc stuff, but this was at the top of the list. i never seen it before, i just remember bits of episodes playing on tv when i was a kid, or mentioned on a watchmojo list once lmaoo. this show is really cool tho! i like bruce's character here, art/animation is fun obviously. and this show's joker is my favourite. i like how silly he is lol. im having a lot of fun!

this movie was mentioned on dead meat's horror awards this year. its a indie alien movie that somehow got nic cage in it?? no idea how that happened. neat movie if it was indie made (sorry i just didnt look into the production of this movie much. i got no info or anything). the alien designs were neat tho, theyre basically like huge clackers woah. but i wont lie, story wasnt anything amazing to me personally. its like a slice of life drama that just takes place in a post apocalypse. uhh it was fine. (if youre not sick of that word by now-)

-Mickey 17

the movie with the guy who plays the new batman woaaa. its a sci-fi movie and everyones checking out this new planet. they can make clones too, thats where the 17 come from. though i wont lie, the beginning of movie was pretty bleak for me, going through the prev 16 mickeys. i was actually starting to get to me from how clinical the montage was. which is pretty funny coming from a movie thats not even horror lol. i guess something like that is just my squick, that i am discovering oop. anyway, had a chill time with the movie.

-The Ugly Stepsister

auwaaghhuh oh this movie!! another dead meat recommended and i was not disappointed at all. obviously a retelling of cinderella but in the stepsisters pov, and it was AMAZING! but its also so heartbreaking. the horrifying stuff done to the stepsister but with a whimsical fairytale ost?? dont even know what to say. i got so emotional at the end too 😭😭 what a journey of a movie. definite highlight of the year for me!

dont really know what else to say besides im still having such a fun time! enjoying my funny joker moments. im slowly growing my aroace bruce agenda because of the times alfred tries to get him to date and it doesnt work out but bruce is always ready to drop it lol

though i will say, riddler and mr freeze are on the bottom of the list in anything i might not like about this show. no idea whats going with riddlers jumpsuit. and i hate mr freezes ice puns!!

anyone remember when this movie broke containment and became the most popular movie of all time or something? lot of people liked this movie in the awards i think, it got a lot of money, so i wanted to check these movies out as well. man, trying to watch stuff from china is hard tho. at least the first movie was yar-har'd in HD. i saw it last year around when the sequel came out i think, and it was fine. although theres a lot of toilet humour in it that i really didnt like, but i guess its normal in eastern cartoons. so whatever. makes for a perfect fine kids movie. ngl, i do miss when movies were this confident in expecting a sequel though, ending off the movie in a set up for a second movie? man...

anyways, as for the sequel. holy crap?? the movie was also fine for the first half, same vibe and simple story. but in the second half of the movie?? when Ne Zha's village gets burned down??? and all the characters we knew from the first movie are all DEAD???? what is going on?? jesus what a switch up. this is where it starts getting interesting now. the twist villain was sick! and my god the ending fight??? definitely a wild movie. it really snuck up on everyone

although, i wonder if i'll have a better viewing experience if i find an HD version this time. the only one i had was so scuffed, straight from someone's video cam in the theatre. especially an official/better translated one. the times when the villain called something "his husband"? i dont think thats right lmaoo

didnt get to finish the season neatly in may because i just got a bit lazy, so just completing the whole thing now.

-The Batman (2004) (season 3)

the only show i felt like watching after getting evacuated. and honestly this might be my favourite season so far. i like what they were doing with bruce and him taking so long to trust people with the batman stuff. how almost frustratingly stubborn bruce was throughout the whole season, until finally trusting batgirl in the end. it was cool!

although this season does have the second least favourite episode that i straight up didnt like. first one was mr freeze's episode surprisingly. and second one was where joker tries to get his own sidekick. it was unfun seeing joker manipulating this kid, hes a villian after all. but honestly the kid was also just boring too. his character wasnt written to be that interesting, so the stakes didnt really hit as much. just a mid episode imo :/

-Justice League Action (three eps featuring joker)

someone suggested this show's joker was similar to '04 joker in being acrobatic and stuff. but not really, he just does a fun flip like once. overall hes mostly a normal guy like the rest of the usual jokers. he is lots of fun though. he can go from secretly joining a secret tour of the justice league tower to do nothing but simply check it out, to trying to lure the whole league to this nuke to blow everyone up. seems like a fun show. i'll check it out properly at some point.

-The Boy Wonder by Juni Ba

this was the first thing i checked out after being evacuated, brought the comics with me in case i get bored, and i sure was. the first few days of getting evacuated was not fun. but i really liked this comic. its a nice story about damian. the art is amazing! the second comic with jason is my favourite i think. jason design is so cool! fun comic :D

-Raybearer by Jordan Ifueko (chapters 1-13)

got my first library cards to use for libby so now i finally get to be a nerd!

raybearer had been on my reading for like ages since hearing a good review on it. i always like the idea of fantasy worlds not based on stuff i'd seen so many times before, and an african-based one already had me hooked. and having a fun time with this book. i like the world. the lore. ive been really enjoying tarisai as a protagonist. glad i checked out this book and cant wait to finish the rest of it. im just not a quick reader.

man im just not used to how books work though. theyre different from episodes and movies. i cant really talk about chapters or parts like a separate episode, but i cant treat it like a whole movie either because its too long!! wahh new type of medium is scary!!

Chapter one: The Runaways OR Runaway With me

The day was pretty much the same as always with me and Izzie, we went to the usual classes and now we’re like me way through the day. I’m pretty glad it’s lunch Izzie said she packed me something special, so I’m pretty curious.

As I leave the back of the art room door and down the hill I see Izzie she waves me over with a bright smile and I can’t help but smile to when I see her emerald eyes. Placing my bag down I sit across from her under our tree, she brought a picnic blanket with her, adorable.

“Jeez Iz, it feels like you have a billion different picnic blankets.” *I sigh as I look around at the blanket she picked this time, it was hello kitty.*

“Psh, I don’t have thaaattt many” *its cute the way she drags out her words sometimes*

“Dude! What are ya doing?!” *I must have stared to hard, without even because the next thing I know Izzie is tilting to the side and waving her arm in my face*

“Alex you know you could tell me if I had something in my teeth… It’s kinda rude that you didn’t tell me…

I mean i guess but what if the spell doesnt work or what if marvin cant make me a new identity. Alright, Chase started pulling his body when he noticed the other pointer finger connected to him then a hand, then a shoulder. hurgh marv need a little help here hes starting to get heavy. Right alright got his other arm start pulling again. Chase and Marvin started again until the fully got anti out of the mirror. It shattered after the spell was done. 

Hey anti you awake buddy as chase lightly slapped antis face. Anti bolted up right. Gah am i out. Yeah buddy you're out and you're heavy so would you like to get off me. Ah sorry chase, hm wow im really out heh. Yup and I thought of a plan to get you a paper stating you're alive and well but its gonna take a week to be in effect. Wait, really. Yea it wont be hard just physically taxing is all. Well thank you Marvin that means a lot to me. You're welcome Anthony, now if you kiddies will excuse me i’ve got som forging to do bye.chase and anti helped marvin collect the mirror,candles,sage,and blood then saw marvin leave. Swell how about we start heading back ourself. Sounds like a plan.yea sounds good. Chase and anti left the cemetery and got back into the car and left. Say anti never did ask how long were you in there? Oh a good five years. Five years! Man sounds lonely. Yea it was but I had ways of keeping myself entertained. Hm alright well what kind of alcohol do you enjoy. I’m a whiskey guy through and through. Hm so am I.that's good to hear now where are we going? Bar? Or your house? Well i was thinking of getting then going back to my place to drink it. Ah alright.

*A quick trip to the liquor store later*

Alright got the alcohol now lets drink till we forget. Hell yea. So anti when are you gonna tell me about your story, you did promise. Yea i did okay,so i pretty much grew up in ireland from the way i speak. Obviously. Well i had religious parents as well, was a straight A student as well, then i found out I loved everyone the same way but i kept it hidden until i was sure of it then when I was 16 I came out to my parents explaining how I felt and that it was just my way of life. My mother didn't take it too well, she started crying and left the room but my dad was okay with it he told me he always had a feeling and that he was okay with it. He was more or less worried I could get hurt so he always told me before going to school or just out in general to be careful my boy then pat me on the shoulder and send me off. 

Soon after he died in a car crash and it was just my mother and me but after me coming out and my father’s death, she didn't talk or look at me. Then by the age of eighteen she kicked me out and I never looked back to that house. Soon after i did a lot of couch surfing with friends and then one day while i was working a young looking guy i say around mid twenties was looking a little overwhelmed. So I went over and asked if he needed help. At first he said he was fine but after a few minutes he asked if I could help him with his computer and I happily obliged. He was so impressed by my work that he offered me a job at IRIS. which i was over the moon about it because I always dreamed of working there so I hopped on the opportunity and I started working there after Christmas. I was making so much money that in three months I paid back all my friends and bought my own place, granted it was small but I didn't need anything big and my life started to look brighter. 

It was about 5 years later when my life took a turn for the worse. One of the test subjects broke out and caused a security breach and all I can remember from that day was getting grabbed then everything went black. I had no memories working at IRIS or even the guy I helped those 5 years were blank. But by that point I wanted out of the country so I left for America and indemnity started working so I could earn a wage. Then one day while working i thought to myself man these lights are bothering me wish i could turn them down and the crazy thing they dimmed themselves. I was so taken back I had to try other things and after doing that for an hour I concluded that I had powers and indemnity used them for the wrong things like stealing. It went on for about three years when one night I decided to have a drink at a seedy bar. I stole 300 dollars from an old man and decided to drink my money away but I was a bit lonely then I met Cherry, she was a looker let me tell you. So I decided to myself I have got to get a piece of that and we chatted and danced until i had 45 bucks on me but by that point we were so shitfacked we didnt care plus cherry wanted something else from me and took me to the radiowave motel. Where i met her boyfriend but he didnt care that his girl brought home another guy so the three of us enjoyed ourselves and one another. While I was asleep they both started doing a ritual and slit my throat. I woke up choking on my own blood but before I could get a clear picture on what was going on I died and was bound to that mirror for five years. I don't remember much. But what I do know is they were never caught. Then i met you and you know the rest so what do you think? Not as messed up as your life. Yea thats saying something but why did you talk to me and let me help you? Well you are a cutie chase and I do love you. I mean it when i say it but I know you're not ready for a relationship so i’ll wait for however long it is. I-mean-that’s very nice hm alright i think your alright too Anti. now lets stop being all depressed and shite and lets drink the night away.

*A week later* Heres your papers and try not to do drugs and stealing again for a while alright.Heh no promises pussycat but sure ill do it for chases sake.

here you were, not knowing what to do today for stream. you didn't tell your fans what you were doing when you tweeted that you were gonna start streaming soon, because you didn't know either to be honest, but you were pretty sure it would be fine and they were expecting probably anything but alcohol because you didn't drink much on stream, and if you did, it was for a special occasion like when you first turned 21 or celebrating 1 million subscribers on YouTube. but that was it. but you were just bored and didn't like the way that full bottle tequila was looking at you(you weirdo🤨). so you grabbed it and made your way to find your boyfriend to ask if he wanted to come. finding him in your shared room watching braking bad for the hundredth time wasn't unusua,l thats why you checked the room first. when he hears the door open he turns to look at you then look at your hand with the tequila in it. "ma'am." he says sorta like a question towards the bottle. "I'm gonna use it for the stream. you wanna come?" you didn't have to tell him you were gonna stream since he has all your notifications on everything."mmmmmmmmmaybe" he said like he had somewhere to be." ok then" you say " ok wait im coming" he said as he got up and walked to the bathroom to make himself look more presentable for a stream. you make your way to your office and sit down preparing for stream. alex then comes in and looks it you and your chair with a slight look of disgust and a small pout knowing he has to use the broken one in the corner. could he go and grab his chair from his office? yes. but will he? no. so you ask if he wants your chair, he nods his head with a smile. so you get up and grab the broken chair, not thinking about how non sober you would act with it.

both a laughing mess and faces are red, and cheeks hurt form smiling too much. now, you did doubt your chat, not thinking that they would send funny videos because you keep telling them they have the humor of 7th grade boys. but the actually did pretty good this time witch surprised you to be honest.

but here you were with your drunk self and drunk boyfriend, both not even laughing at the video anymore because you both will just laugh at anything at the moment. as you calm down and wait for the next video to play, one finally starts and its a video of a little kid falling off his scooter, aka your weakness. you didn't want to take another shot even though the taste wasn't as bad anymore, you just wanted to be a little easier on yourself tomorrow afternoon when you wake up. you lean back in your chair, gripping the arm rests for dear life, not daring to look at Alex in the eyes knowing you'll laugh, but you can feel him staring at you. you accidentally make some strangely funny little noise almost like a squeak because you're trying so hard not to laugh. sending you both into loud fits if laughter, without remembering the chair was broken, you lean back in the chair still laughing, but I guess you went too far back because then. THUMP. you and your chair were on the ground. but you didn't care, you just rolled over on your side holding your stomach. you couldn't even laugh anymore, you couldn't breathe you just laid there wheezing and so was Alex. the chat was filled with "LMAOO" and "OMG". " are you ok?" Alex says whilst he laughs, all you can do is nod and cough because you were sure if you talked you'd laugh more, if that was even possible. you laid there even though you calmed down and could breathe, but you were just tired. so Alex decides to end stream and get you both ready to knock the fuck out for 15 hours. tons of clips were all over twitter the next day and you both couldn't even remember any of them lol.
