SO happy I’m taking a couple gap years bc I get to pursue all the things I wanted to pursue as a kid and I will go into med school so satisfied

my dad is having a rough fuckin month but the thing that pushed him over the edge is the ios update. when i went on the internet to try and fix his specific complaint, i couldn't find any results on my search, because everyone else was complaining more loudly about the new photos app replacing their photos albums with AI-chosen categories no one asked for. he hasn't discovered that problem yet and i'm afraid to mention it lest he lose his remaining will to live. so. uh. i guess don't update to ios18 except by force.

as a teenager something i'd do on really hot days was make a giant iced coffee, hole up in a nook of my room, and read a "winter" book while playing sting's christmas album, as a kind of imagining i was hiding in a non-summer corner of the world. i'm thinking about bringing this back to cope with the texas summer.

finally taking playlists off spotify (i love random bursts of energy when i should be sleeping) and Nuclear is actually a godsend. Completely free on github and flawlessly imports your spotify playlists. i love her

#witch talks #spotify can SUCK it #only downside is that it doesnt have a mobile app yet #i dont wanna use deezer or whatever other music app other people are using as alternatives #i dont want ads #i was going to just try to download all my playlists and put them in the legacy windows media player bc its great #only issue is none of the mp3s worked bc spotify doesnt actually let you download mp3s from it #and i dont have the patience at nearly 5am to copy thousands of songs using audacity. it would take like a week of pure dedication #and i am too adhd for that #man i got my energy bc i wanted to draw shit and now ive spent like actually 3 hours finding the best way to get my music off spotify
