Arcane: The Toymaker AU - ArcTech

when you can literally summon a mechanical arm from your lab on your back, why not make it two? Also, that's Mr. Deep Fried fish! (Fishbones in canon)

nearly infinite magic bomb supply and varitey, 'cus why not? Plus, that's Buster III! (Pow-Pow in canon)

Introducing the third technology that joined the dance of Hextech and Chemtech in this Arcane AU: ArcTech (Arcane + Technology, purposely written to sound like "architect"). Created by Jinx and Viktor, it's also called "Hextech's sibling" because it also uses the blue stones as its base, but how it works is rather different.

*About it

Like Hextech, ArcTech uses the same blue stones as the base for its functionality. But instead of using the stones' energy as some sort of battery, their energy is manipulated and shaped to do the user's wishes. The machinery isn't bound to a single function, the user speaks to the Arcane through them and vice-versa. The equipment learns how the user's mind interacts with magic and it shapes itself to become an extension of their owner's mind and body or if it's a robot it develops its own mind.

ArcTech is a sentient technology in a sense.

There are four types of machinery: Tools, Robots, Augmentations and Weapons.

This tech uses water as their conduit. The magic energy manipulation is all made with water, thus, making the gemstones and the water from the machines dangerous to organic matter. Not to mention that the development of this technology is dangeours as well, as the magic in it has a large amount of possibilities to behave.

The development of this technology is being watched by the Aspect of Twilight herself, out of her own curiosity to know what two non-magical per se mortals like Viktor and Jinx can do with Arcane magic. She doesn't directly interfere at all, just gives them vague answers for whatever they need help with if they don't have access to such information.

*How to use it/obtain:

This technology is not meant to become public and only members of the Aquanima Clan are elegible to become users of it.

The user must have a personal gemstone linked to tech gemstones (the ones that goes in the machines) in order to control this technology. A new user also must receive the special spine augmentation to be able to handle and survive the magic flow on their body.

*Countermeasures:

-The own users

-Heavy damage to the spine augmentation

-Take the personal gemstone too far away from the user

-Zeri's (magical) EMP

-Renata's mind control methods

-Hextech and/or Chemtech

-ArcTech itself
