BRIEF DESCRIPTION: long story short: born and raised in california, had a terrible childhood, child services had to get involved and they took the youngest of the warren siblings (yc) to never be seen again. they used to have a strong bond before the little one was taken and it completely messed alexander up, who spent years searching for his sibling, well into his adult years. after years and years of searching for them alex decided to give up, completely heartbroken but not a day goes by where he doesn't think of his missing sibling.

Aristóteles was born in Oaxaca Mexico, product of the love affair between Renata, a seamstress and Miguel, a Mexican politician who ran away quickly from his responsibilities the minute Renata gave him the news. Although Renata didn’t have the meanings to care for a kid, she worked hard to raise his child who never lacked a thing, even when he could see the tiredness in his mother’s eyes.

At age ten, after seeing his mother struggle to make end meets, Ari decided to step in: he put his name on for a talent reality show in Mexico and got selected to compete. Although he didn’t win, Ari charmed the audience with his voice and personality, receiving a second place and deal for his own album. Not a year later, Ari was promoting his album and a soap opera he would be a part of. He used the money he was payed to buy his mother a house so she would never have to worry about making ends meet again.

His career took off after that. Soap operas, movies, awards, albums, tours… México couldn’t get enough of him, became the youngest solo number to sell out the biggest arena in mexico at the age of fifteen. It was traced in the stars, Aristóteles would become a legend.

Turning sixteen and having all the fame and fortune his stardom had brought with him affected the young star. Although he loved his country and his audience, the millions of kids, young people and eldest who would sing along to the songs he had written, he needed a bigger challenge and thus, he decided to move to the USA to try and make it in Hollywood. Soon enough his luck and talent proved to work on his favor and he began getting small roles in commercials and secondary roles in shows and movies. 

That’s where he met Natalie. She was beautiful, bright, gentle… Ari fell in love quickly and not long after, he proposed. Natalie said yes and just like that, the couple got married in a little ceremony by the beach.

As things goes, happiness didn’t last long. On Ari’s 21st birthday, coming home from his celebration dinner on their way to pick up their daughter from Renata’s home, a car accident took Natalie from him and to make matters worse, it was informed to him that Natalie was pregnant and he had also lost his child. He spent years trying to recover from his terrible loss.

Just as Ari was ready to quit the Hollywood world and the dream of becoming a successful actor in America, the actor received one last lifeline. A script for an upcoming show and an opportunity to work in the legendary Palmwood Studios. He auditioned and finally landed the gig, playing Duke Holly in Rumor Woman.

GTM Ediciones CB releases The Hollow Book

Big news for Hollow Knight fans from Spain! The company GTM Ediciones CB offers a Hollow Knight themed hard-cover book, named El Libro Hueco (The Hollow Book).

The book is currently only available in Spanish and comes in two exclusive variations, one featuring artwork of Hornet and the Knight on the cover known as the Abyss Edition while the other is limited to 500 copies worldwide, known as Grimoire of the Void, having a Knight-themed dust sleeve and a collectable coin featuring the Knight. The Hollow Book: Grimoire Of The Void had been on sale until October 15th, but the regular edition is still available for sale.

Both versions are hardcover, threadbound books with matt chrome that span 256 pages printed on 120g paper. The dimensions are 17 x 23 cms (6.69 x 9.06 inches) when closed.

It is currently unknown if this book is official like the Wanderer’s Journal offered on Fangamer, as the officiality of this merchandise isn’t stated anywhere. There is also no sign of artwork by Ari Gibson of Team Cherry. Instead, the books are illustrated by Sergio Melero, Isa Fernández and Toni Mula and are written by Roberto Pineda. The Hollow Book seems to set out to fill the same purpose as the Wanderer’s Journal though, detailling the kingdom’s geography, beasts, and history.

The Abyss Edition’s sales page states the following:

Hallownest hides so many mysteries that few have dared to decipher the hidden history in the many corners of the Suffering Kingdom. With The Hollow Book, Roberto Pineda has gathered all the available knowledge to reconstruct a story that has long been diluted between the stone and the bones of the underground kingdom. 256 pages in which the author includes detailed information about the geography of Hallownest, its inhabitants and beasts. born in santa clara, cuba to an high school student who couldn’t handle the responsibility of motherhood, lucía lived in an orphanage for girls for a few years of her life, very early years. she doesn’t remember it much, if at all, but she has some pictures of herself as a baby with some of the nuns.

INFERTILITY TW. she was adopted by an affluent mexican family when she was two, after they struggled with infertility for most of their marriage. desperate for children, the couple outsourced. to their surprise, however, not too long after they adopted lucía, their own daughter, natalia, would be born.

lucía and natalia were as close as close could get: they had the same friends, the same activities, mostly the same interests... apart from being sisters, they were best friends. although they weren’t blood related, they were always treated as if they were.

they grew up in las lomas, a fancy neighborhood where fancy families raised their children, with one condition: there was a standard everyone had to meet, and it was nothing short of perfect. so of course, the velasco girls had to be the perfect children. and while it all seemed j.c. penney-catalogue perfect: an accomplished doctor for a father, a busy caterer for a mother, and two perfect girls... the pressure their parents placed on lucía and natalia created a barrier between the parents and the children that was never fully destroyed.

the difference was how the sisters dealt with it. natalia was always so sure, so full of self-love and adventure — she couldn’t care less of what her parents thought of her or her interests; whereas lucía, a bit more desperate for their validation, allowed the constant pressure to get to her and become a part of her.

ROBBERY TW. everything changed when the house staff was held at gunpoint during a robbery. thousands of mexican pesos worth of their belongings were taken, and althought no one was hurt, mr. velasco took it upon himself to never let anything like that happen again — he packed his family up and moved them to california. after all, his wife was an american citizen and the children too, by default, so they had no problem moving. their dad had the most trouble getting to stay with them, but sooner than later the family was all together, living in hermosa beach, ca.

always a smart girl, lucía, now known as lucy, got into high school a year ahead of where she was supposed to be, and she met alex warren along the way. they had a strong connection from the very beginning, and although her conservative parents didn’t necessarily approve of her choice, lucy and alex became a couple.

without many details shared with her parents, the girl moved to new york city with her boyfriend after graduating high school and went to college, no problem. she majored in psychology, eventually went to law school.

while in college, lucy and alex got engaged; she was beyond elated, but never knew how to share the news with her parents. nat was the first to know, and the two fantasized about the wedding arrangements for a while. she was so happy and thought alex was happy, too, it never crossed her mind that anything was wrong until after graduation, a few years passed and alex started becoming distant... so distant that there were days they simply wouldn’t talk to each other, some others they wouldn’t even see each other... and the engagement was broken. last she heard, he moved back to california, and while her heart yelled at her to follow him there — she didn’t, she stayed in the city to further continue her career to eventually achieve her goal of becoming a judge.

still heartbroken, lucy found her sister’s relationship with aristóteles pineda to be infuriating: both from her parents’ influential opinions and her own jealousy from her failing relationship. watching her sister being so in love with someone her family hated was familiar, but instead of supporting nat like she had done with her, she sided with her parents’ — to appease them, since they were surprisingly angry about her engagement not working out — and thus her relationship with her sister started to crumble.

DEATH TW. she kept her distance from pretty much everyone: she didn’t make any appearances back in california when her niece was born, and to this day, lucy regrets it with all her heart. she never really spoke to nat again: she was taken from them way too soon in a tragic car accident, that managed to only kill nat. aristóteles and the child survived.

broken with grief she just didn’t know how to process, she yet again joined her parents’ in their accusations towards the young man, blaming him for the death of their daughter. lucy even went out of her way to make sure she told him how much he was despised by the entire family, how she never wanted to hear of or see him again.

things like these will harden up anyone. lucy placed her focus entirely on her job, working in some legal firms as a paralegal until she made it to the d.a.’s office, scoring a job as an assistant d.a. but as years went by, she realized how nobody in her family seemed to talk about nat’s death, even though they all remained in california and the events would be painful, no matter how much time passed — right? but nobody did. 

with a heavy heart and a bruised ego, lucy has recently learned about ari’s whereabouts in the city, and has made it her new mission to apologize for how she treated him and reconnect with bella, her niece, as she is the only piece of her sister she will ever have left.

lucy has tried to channel her negative energy since losing her sister into self-defense. she’s proficient in krav maga and kickboxing!

afterwards, realizing aggression wasn’t the best way for her to go about things (although self-defense has proven to be useful in the city and in the courtrooms), lucy found a healthier way for her to let out her energy: dancing. nothing fancy, she attends zumba classes and loves throwing it back on the weekends lmao

her apartment complex doesn’t allow pets, but she’s befriended a feral cat that she feeds and pets every so often, she calls her bicha.

Tonks has been forging the steel in her spine since she was old enough to frustrate her parents with her own headstrong opinions on what she wanted from life and how that differed from their hopes for her, and if she did not flinch (often) beneath her father’s gentle disappointment than there was certainly no one in the Department of Magical Law Enforcement who could make her cringe. And that was the truth of it: what people called boldness was only a matter of knowing what you wanted and being unafraid of what it would take to get it — and there was no length that Tonks was not willing to go to in order to do what’s right. + Insightful / - Nosy: If there was one thing that Alastor Moody taught her during those long years in the Academy, it was the value of deeds over words. The department may have been overrun, of late, with those too preoccupied by political ambitions to see the bigger picture and be willing to ruffle feathers, but Tonks has always been more insightful than she’s given credit for. Her knack for reading a room and the intentions of the people in it had been honed by her naturally suspicious mentor and years spent studying faces intently, all their little quirks and shapes, in order to recreate them in the mirror. For better or for worse, when put into a tight corner Tonks does not falter and she does not hesitate. Those who would call her impulsive would probably be correct, but she vastly prefers decisive and while her approach doesn’t always end well, she’s resourceful enough to almost always land on her feet running.  The talents of a fighter, however, are not the talents required of a diplomat and lately her propensity for digging her nose into things that the higher ups have deemed off limits have landed her in hot water within the department. While Tonks has always considered her talent for thinking on her feet, acting decisively without wasting time on the buffering, to be her strongest asset, she fears that in order to return to the job she worked so hard to get, it will be inaction that is required of her this time around. Trading her autonomy for one man’s whims again is not something Tonks relishes the idea of, especially when there are dire consequences for turning a blind eye to what might be coming.

hi, it’s me, your friendly dumb dumb and i… i have no explanation for this. nobody asked for this but i love diego boneta, i love tragic stories, i am mexican and proud and i got inspiration from a show i’m watching… so here you have this, it’s a wild ride so without further ado…. here it is, ari:

he was born in mexico city.

his estranged father is a wealthy mexican politician, they’ve barely talked in aris’ lifetime. on the other hand, his mother is a hardworking seamstress whom he adores and they have a very close relationship.

growing up, he always had to work to help his mom sustain their little family, he worked as a busboy and packing groceries, on his free time between school and work he would sing, which sometimes would get him money.

when he turned eleven, advised by a friend, ari entered a talent show in a big mexican tv network, although he didn’t win, doors opened to him since he made it to the finals. (i might’ve based the talent show part on DIEGO’S REAL LIFE don’t judge that’s how i met him and i’ve been in love with him since)

aris got to star in some telenovelas and even recorded some albums and bought a nice house for him and his mother, he was living the dream, but quickly he grew tired of his life in the spotlight and decided to retire to live a normal life.

he quickly realized his love for cooking and food and decided he wanted to become a chef someday.

when he retired from the spotlight, ari decided he needed a new start somewhere else, that’s when he convinced his mother to move to new york because i was his dream, and she accepted.

when ari turned 15, he met a boy who completely changed his life. before meeting him; ari had never felt attracted to anyone in his life, so when this boy showed up in his school, he completely turned his world upside down.

firstly, they became really close friends; this kid was ari’s first real friend, the first person besides his mom that truly cared enough to get to know him, to try and look behind the mask of positivism. things started to get messy when ari realized his feelings for his friend weren’t exactly the friendly type.

It took a whole journey of discovery to come to terms with being in love with a guy. Against all odds, those feelings where reciprocated and the two started off a relationship that truly marked Ari. They dated until they graduated high school, when Ari’s boyfriend had to move to start off college and they decided long distance simply wouldn’t work. as much as they loved each other, they had to let go before the relationship became bitter memories.

ari then enrolled in the culinary institute of ny, where he got his aas in culinary arts.

that’s where he met the second person who changed his world forever: Natalie.

she quickly helped him mend his broken heart, she became his best friend, his confidant, his family. he fell in love a second time. the night they graduated from college, natalie gave him the news; she was pregnant.

arturo pineda was born on February, 2013 and completely and utterly changed ari’s life forever. he was in complete awe, besotted by the creature him and natalie had created.

a year after arturo was born, on ari’s birthday and after going out to celebrate with natalie, the couple had a terrible car accident and natalie didn’t made it. ari was left with the guilt of taking his kid’s mom from him before he could learn how to walk.

ever since natalie’s death, ari has dedicated his entire life to his kid, his mother and his work, he is now sous chef of a high-end restaurant in brooklyn. he might have a slight problem with alcohol (see? pattern, 3/3)

personality wise, he tends to be a tad closed off about his past since it hurts him and is a bit immature since he never got to truly live his childhood (reason why loves being so involved in arturo’s life and childhood and would do everything to give him what his son wants), can also be hot-headed.

however, despite all the hurt he’s endure, ari is a hard-working, caring and easy-going young man who really just wants his little boy to be happy and wants to see everybody happy. also a bit flirty? he hasn’t had a relationship since natalie because it’s hard for him bc he is a dad.

Aristóteles was born in Oaxaca Mexico, product of the love affair between Renata, a seamstress and Miguel, a Mexican politician who ran away quickly from his responsibilities the minute Renata gave him the news. Although Renata didn’t have the meanings to care for a kid, she worked hard to raise his child who never lacked a thing, even when he could see the tiredness in his mother’s eyes.

At age ten, after seeing his mother struggle to make end meets, Ari decided to step in: he put his name on for a talent reality show in Mexico and got selected to compete. Although he didn’t win, Ari charmed the audience with his voice and personality, receiving a second place and deal for his own album. Not a year later, Ari was promoting his album and a soap opera he would be a part of. He used the money he was payed to buy his mother a house so she would never have to worry about making ends meet again.

His career took off after that. Soap operas, movies, awards, albums, tours... México couldn’t get enough of him, became the youngest solo number to sell out the biggest arena in mexico at the age of fifteen. It was traced in the stars, Aristóteles would become a legend.

Turning sixteen and having all the fame and fortune his stardom had brought with him affected the young star. Although he loved his country and his audience, the millions of kids, young people and eldest who would sing along to the songs he had written, he needed a bigger challenge and thus, he decided to move to LA to try and make it in Hollywood. It proved to be a difficult task once he arrived and getting restless, he enrolled in high school. That’s where he met Natalie. She was beautiful, bright, gentle... Ari fell in love quickly and, once they graduated from high school, he proposed. Natalie said yes and once they were of age, the couple got married.

Upon graduation, Ari decided to enrroll in college, deciding to take music as his major so he could continue preparing himself to be the best musician he could be, for himself, his mother, his country and his wife. Every now and then, he’d get gigs and he would write music for others here and there.

A few months before turning 20 Natalie shared some news with the family: she was pregnant. Aristóteles couldn’t be more ecstatic, the love of his life and him were about to have a baby, his music career was slowly but surely getting off in the hardest city to conquer, everything was perfect. Isabella was born on a summer night, teaching both Nat and Ari the meaning of true love.

As things goes, happiness didn’t last long. On Ari’s 21st birthday, coming home from his celebration dinner on their way to pick up their daughter from Renata’s home, a car accident took Natalie from him. Aristóteles spent a few weeks in the hospital, unsure what to do with himself now that he had lost the love of his life.

With Bella and Renata’s help, Aristóteles left the hospital, busing himself with the care of his baby daughter. It took him years to go out and get help to move on from the heartbreak of losing Natalie and although he hasn’t recovered entirely, he is getting better.

Uninspired and bitter by the loss of his wife, Ari decided to quit music. There wasn’t much sense to him playing or writing, instead, he took part of the siblings he had from his glory days and open a business of his own: electric relaxation, music store where he buys, rents and trades new and used musical instruments, as well as records and booklets. He also gives guitar and piano lessons.

however, isabella is his greatest love. his daughter means THE WORLD to him and she has him around her finger no question. everything he does he does with her in mind. although his mom very lovingly nannies for him whenever he need some time to go out (bless renata, honestly), half of the time he is not with her he is thinking about her.

he does party. he LOVES PARTYING. not only is it in his blood but he often needs to let out some steam because life as a single parent is STRESSFUL.

probably has a lot of one stands or relationships that are non-committal. he has big baggage dragging so serious relationships are hard for him not impossible but HARD

man breathes, dreams, lives music. although he doesn’t write or play anymore (only for his daughter), his life revolves around music still. he plays a lot of instruments: guitar, piano, violin, ukelele, recorder, french horn, drums, harp, trumpet, bass, kalimba, xylophone... he loves music. he gives lessons for a portion of these instruments in his store too.

Ang de-amerikanisasyon ng isang Pilipino ay isa sa pinakamalaking tungkuling dapat nating gampanan sa ating kasalukuyan. Ang Amerikanisasyon ay isang sakit na tumalamak na sa katawan ng ating lipunan. Bunga nito ang maraming kapansanan ng bayan.

Isang simulaing cardinal, katotohanan palibhasa, na ang isang Pilipino’y mahalagang sangkap ng buong pamayanang Pilipino. At ang pinagsama-samang indibidwal, ang katipunan ng lahat ng mga mamamayan ng bansang ito, ang bumubuo ng Sangkapilipinuhan. Habang mahina, habang ‘di ganap ang pagka-Pilipino ng kabuuang ito ay ‘di tayo makapagtatayo ng isang lipunang tunay na Pilipino, ni ng pamahalaan at pangasiwaang tunay na Pilipino. Ang ugat ng dahilan ay nasa uri ng edukasyon ng isang Pilipino.

Tignan natin ang isang pangyayari bilang halimbawa. Ipalagay nating heto ang isang batang Pilipino. Ang kanyang pamilya’y kabilang sa mga may kaunting pribilehiyo sa buhay. Bagay na isinisiwalat ng kanilang katayuang ekonomiko. Ang batang paksa ng kwento’y nakarinig sa unang pagkakataon at nanggaya sa unang pagkakataon, sa pabulol na pamamaraan, ng mga salita ng kanyang ina’t ama. “That’s the light,” sasabihin ng ina, sabay turo sa bumbilyang nagliliyab sa kisame ng bahay. “Now,” sasabihin ng bata, “where’s the light.” Ituturo ng bata. “There!” sasabihin ng ina. Paulit-ulit. “That’s your Mommy”, sasabihin ng ama. “Say, Mommy.” Gagayahin ng bata. “He’s your Daddy,” sasabihin ng ina. “Say, Daddy.” Gagayahin ng bata. Ganyan ang simula.

Ang batang ito, pagsapit ng isang panahon, ay ipapasok sa kindergarten. Doon ay maririnig din niya ang wikang naririnig sa kanyang Daddy at Mommy. Bibigyan siya ng manipis na aklat na may malalaking drowing at nandidilat na mga letra. Ituturo sa kanya ng titser. “Apple”. “Epol,” wika ng bata. “Snow” sasabihin ng guro. “Isno,” wika ng bata. “Eagle,” ang wika ng titser. “Igel,” gagad ng bata. Ang paaralang ito, nais kong idugtong ay eksklusibo. Para lamang sa may kayang magbayad ng malaki. Ari ng dayuhan at pinamumunuan ng mga relihiyoso.

Papasok ang bata sa regular na grado, sa paaralang ito rin: ari ng mga dayuhan; pinamumunuan ng mga relihiyoso. Mababasa na niya ang mga liubrong bumabanggit ng mga daan sa New York at sa Washington, D.C. Mamamasid niya ang Central Park at Times Square. Ang batang ito na nagsisimula pa lamang ay may guniguni nang lumipad sa lupalop na malayo sa kanyang tinubuan.

Ang batang paksa natin ay lumalaki, mangyari pa at nagkakaisip. Tuwing kakausapin siya ng kanyang Daddy at Mommy ay sa wikang Amerikano. Ngunit may mga ibang tao sa kanilang tahanan: ang mga taong iyon ay alila o utusan kung tawagin ng kanyang Mommy at Daddy. Nakikita niyang ang mga ito’y tagapaglinis ng bahay, tagapagluto sa kusina, tagapamili sa palengke, tagapagpaligo niya, at malimit na inaalimura ng kanyang mga magulang. Ang mga taong ito, kung kausapin ng kanyang Daddy at Mommy ay sa Tagalog. Hindi siya kinakausap sa wikang iyon ng kanyang Daddy at Mommy. Kaya, sa kanyang batang puso at utak ay tila mandin napagbubukod niya ang kagamitan ng dalawang wika: Ingles ang ginagamit ng kanyang mga magulang sa pakikipag-usap sa kanya; Tagalog sa pakikipag-usap sa mga alila o utusan. Ito’y kanyang mapagkakalakhan at kahit na tumanda’y iisipin niya, ipamamansag niya sa katunayan, na ang wikang Tagalog ay ginagamit lamang sa mga alila.

Ang batang ito’y patuloy sa paglaki. Palaging librong Ingles ang kanyang binabasa, palaging Ingles-Amerikano, pagkat mga Amerikano ang awtor. Dahil dito’y ayaw na rin niyang bumasa ng ano mangsinulat ng kanyang mga kababayan sa wikang kanyang kinagisnan. Ang librong nasusulat sa Tagalog ay nagiging kasuklam-suklam sa kanya. Sa tahanan ay exposed siya sa telebisyon – sa mga programang ginaganap sa wikang kanyang pinagkamalayan. Gayon din ang kanyang pinanood sa mga sine. Kahit Class B, o Class C sa kanya’y pinakamagaling pagkat mga artistang Amerikano ang nagsisiganap. Samantala, ang pelikulang Tagalog ay bulok sa kanya, walang pasubali.

Siya’y isang ganap nang mamamayan, marahil ay mayroon nang pananagutan sa buhay. Ngunit mayroon siyang sariling daigdig na kinikislapan ng pumikit-dumilat na samut-saring kulay ng ilaw-dagitab sa piling ng mga nagsasalita ng Ingles. Malayo sa kanya ang ibang daigdig, ang lalong malaking dagidig. Ito’y ang lipunan ng mga nakabakya, ng nagsisipagsalita ng katutubong wika. At sa ganyan ay sumilang ang malaking pagitan ng mga Pilipinong pribilihiyado sa buhay at ang masa ng ating bayan.

Totoong humaba ang simpleng kwentong aking isinalaysay. Ngunit gaya ng inyong napansin, ito’y naglalarawan ng yugtu-yugtong pagkahubog ng isang batang Pilipino sa pagiging Amerikano sa isip, sa salita at sa gawa. Ang trahedyang ito’y nakaturo sa ating sistema ng edukasyon. Nang pumasok ang mga Amerikano sa Look ng Maynila’y dala na nila ang sistema ng paturuang Amerikano.

Ayon sa kasaysayang sinulat ng mga dayuhan at ng mga Pilipinong gumagamit ng salaming dayuhan – pumarito ang mga dayuhan upang hanguin tayo sa barbarismo. Bibigyan daw nila tayo ng edukasyon. Binigyan nga, edukasyong popular pagkat sa simulain ay bukas sa lahat ng mga mamamayan. Ang wikang panturo ay Kano. Ang mga asignatura’y hulwad sa Kano. Malayo na ang panahong iyon ng pagdaong ni Dewey sa ating pasingan, ngunit narito pa rin ang mga bakas. Isa tayong kolonya hanggang ngayon. Ang sistema natin ay tunay na kolonyal.

Marahil ay ‘di totoong mga Amerikano lamang ang dapat nating sisihin. Tayo man naman ay may kasalanan. Sa kabila ng katotohanang binigyan tayo ng kalayaang pampulitika, tayo nama’y pinanatiling nakagapos sa kaalipinang ekonomiko at edukasyonal. Sa panahon ay humihingi tayo ng pag-aaral sa ating mga suliranin sa pagtuturo. Ang hinihiling nating gumawa nito’y ang ating dating panginoon, ang mga Amerikano. Sila rin ang nagmumunyi sa atin ng mga kalutasan. At kung ‘di magbunga nang maigi, tayo ang nagdurusa. Kasalanan natin, ngunit ‘di nating gustong magkaganito. Biktima tayo ng kasaysayan. Ganito ang ating palad. Gayunman, ang tanong ko’y ‘di na ba tayo bubulas,’di na ba tayo magiging ganap na lalaki at ganap na bansa – sui juris sa lenggwahe ng batas.

Ang wika at edukasyon ay magkaugnay. Ngayon ay marami pang tulong sa edukasyon na kaloob ng Estados Unidos. Hindi natin matiyak ang mga tali ng tulong na ito. Sa kawalan ng mapanghahawakang kongkretong ebidensya’y makapagbibigay lamang tayo ng mga hinuha. Maaaring sabihing ang kaloob sa atin ay udyok ng damdaming altruistiko ng ating dating panginoon. Ito kaya’y kapani-paniwala? Hindi ba’t sa maraming pagkakataon ay lumilitaw ang katotohanang sa kapakanang Amerikano lamang ang paglilingkod na ginawa rito ng mga Amerikanong kinatawan ng Pamahalaang Amerikano at pati ng kanilang mga ahenting na-“brain wash” pagkatapos magtamasa ng kwalta ng iskolarsyip at grant? Isang kababawan, kung ‘di man katunggakan ang mag-akalang tunay na nagbubuhos dito ng salapi at panahon ang Estados Unidos dahil lamang sa kapakanang Pilipino. Sa katunaya’y naglilingkod sila sa kapakanan ng Estados Unidos at sa kalwalhatian ng Union. Ito ang hinahangaan ko sa mga Amerikano, kahit sila saan magtungo, kalian mang panahon, ay nananatili silang Amerikano. Kapos tayo sa bagay na ito. Tayo pa nga ang tumatayong tagapagtanggol nila, na para bagang kailangan pa nating ipagtanggol sila.

Ang isang Pilipino, lalo na ang kabilang sa pamilyang ginawa kong halimbawa sa simula ng komentaryong ito, ay medaling maging Amerikano. Kaawa-awa ang bayang ito! Ang lahat ng ating pagsisikap na maging tunay na Republikang Pilipino ay mabibigo habang dayuhan ang sistema ng ating paturuang pambansa. Tunay na kailangan ang pagbabago, ang rebolusyon sa laranang ito.

Ngayon ay may isang Komisyong nilikha ang Pangulo upag pag-aralan ang sitwasyon ng edukasyon sa ating bayan. Sana’y maging tunay na Pilipino ang ibubunga ng Komisyon. Huwag sanang kaligtaan nito ang kahalagahan ng wikang panturo. Nababatid kong nasa kamay na ng komisyon ang maraming pag-aaral ng Kawanihan ng Paaralang Bayan tungkol sa bagay na ito. Nababatid na rin nito marahil ang tagubilin ng Lupon sa kurikulum, pati na ang paninindigan ng Lupon sa Implementasyon. Hindi ako isang manghuhula, ngunit masasabi ko nang walang alinlangan; na habang nabibidbid ang ating paturuang pambansa sa sistemang Amerikano, at habang tinatagikawan tayo ng wikang Amerikano, mananatili tayong second rater lamang sa edukasyon, mangagagaya at bayang walang bait sa sarili.
