Whoop meant to write a bit: A tiny bit of an updated token for Leo and some updated tokens for some of the pokemon they have in the DND. Gosh I love Cyclizar. Dreepy was in a school of Arrowkuda. The Gogoat's a Winter Kale goat. And the Gimmighoul's a diver on the search of treasure!

Ok so my first mon concept is an evolution to a gen 2 Mon
Tumblr media
Like I said I have ideas I just suck at art, but this is the evolution of octillary milipus, milipus is a pokemon often found in oceans and beaches, it is usually non aggressive towards humans, it often protects weaker fish pokemon, it often shoots pelipper and cramorant out of the air if it sees one swooping for a magikarp or arrowkuda, it uses special ink that it shoots of of it's mouth/funnel, this ink is poisonous to most pokemon
Type: it is a water/poison type (kinda obvious)
Special move: ink bomb, it's an attack similar to sludge bomb, except this poison move can damage and poison steel types, because some paints can damage metal
Details: so for this mon I imagine the head still being bulbous but a bit more tank like, the "sight" at the end of it's funnel is the same color as the bumps on its head, the tentacles SHOULD look more like treads, it has war paint/camo, made of it's own ink
Color scheme:
Main body: very dark red/maroon (same as octillary but darker)
Suction cups, bumps/sight: dark gold/yellow (again same as octillary but darker)
Accents/paint: black, brown, army green (typical camo colors)
Shiny colors:
Main body: gold like octillary
Suction cups: brown
Accents/ink: red, blue and orange (to match some typical paint colors and to make the shiny a bit more out there while the main body still connects to octillary)
Inspo:
Octillary and octopi (duh)
Tanks/guns (also duh)
Paint ball (I feel like making it poisonous ink/paint, adds a nice pokemon touch)
So if you wanna make this strapping young mon take a shot and show me how you do, have fun!

Part two of Wallace's journey, aka documenting my water mono-type run. After the long first part we're finally ready to get down to business. Time to fight Katy.
So Wallace made his way to Cortondo. South province area two was boring area to Wallace, it mostly being dry land. He attempted to find a new water buddy down by the water of Mesagoza and got himself an Arrowkuda, he also found a Surskit but sadly it would evolve into a non-water type so he couldn't in good faith catch it.
Wallace had a fool proof plan. Use Quacky the Quaxly with its wing attack to take everything down. And he actually went into the gym pretty soon after reading the town, being able to easily take down the optional fights in the gym challenge. He put his level 13 Quaxly up against Katy's team. Her Nymble and Tarountula both went down in 2 hits, making a dent in Quacky's health. He terastallized Quacky just as Katy did the same to her Teddiursa. And it...
One shot Quacky. Which was the only member above level 11. It was a massacre, no one being able to get a single hit in before she uses fury cutter and fury swipes.
Back to the drawing board. Wallace also has Gully the Wingull, though it had no flying type attacks. Checking the TM machine, he discovered he could actually get air cutter by using 3 Combee honey, a pokemon you can fight outside of town. It was time to train. Originally, there was a fear that training outside of Cortondo wasn't possible due to most pokemon doing too much damage to easily auto-battle. But luckily for Wallace, there's actually a ton of Diglett, Combee and Kricketot around. Off he goes training Gully.
Tumblr media
While still not ideal, he went into the gym with his team. The new plan was using Gully, now level 13, against Katy's first two pokemon. And go up against Teddiursa once again with Quacky, now level 15.
It goes as planned at first. Gully one shots Nymble, and two-shots Tarountula with air cutter. Quacky goes in against Katy, once again they both terastallize. Though after getting two hits in, Quacky still succumbs to fury cutter. It was up to Gully once again. It was tense, but Quacky's hits did enough damage to have 1 air cutter be enough. Wallace did it, receiving the bug badge.
And after all his travel and training, his Azurill named Hoppy evolved. Finally becoming a water type he could use.
Tumblr media
As a gift for winning, Katy gives him some cupcakes he happily takes as they take a picture

People keep catching a bunch of one type of pokemon and then having a camp full of it and I really love this trend.

Arrowkuda and/or Barraskewda? I didn't really like them at first, but now I absolutely adore them!
Tumblr media
Arrokuda!!!
Arrokuda’s a little barracuda pokemon, predictably Water-type, and it’s one I haven’t given much thought to prior to this review. It’s actually super cute though, and the design feels wonderfully organic! And it’s amazing how much character that curly little smile gives it.
Tumblr media
The dex says it’s extremely sensitive to movement, and if it sees any, it’ll immediately charge for it with its sharply pointed jaw in the lead. Apparently “it’s very proud of that jaw”, which is ADORABLE. Like. This lil guy is so happy that its jaw is so pointy. I’d be proud too if that was my jaw. Speed is understandably its highest stat; it looks incredibly streamlined, the pointy jaw especially. That said, however, its movements become exceedingly sluggish after eating. And then……
Tumblr media
AAAAAAAAAAAHH!!!!!!
Arrokuda is one of the few pokemon to canonically be part of a predator-prey relationship, which is actually incorporated in-game through Cramorant’s “Gulping Form”. In this form, Cramorant has an Arrokuda stuck in its throat, triggered by the use of Surf or Dive. It’s dislodged as a projectile when Cramorant is attacked as a function of its Gulp Missile ability, dealing damage to the attacker and lowering their defence. Arrokuda is presumably not fond of the whole situation, but that’s never really addressed.
Tumblr media
Arrokuda has a lovely indigo shiny, a welcome change for those who prefer something more outlandish than the natural browns. I personally prefer the base form because of how distinct it is for a fish pokemon, but this is definitely a fantastic shiny.
Overall, Arrokuda’s a deceptively great pokemon. It’s easy to overlook (so much so there’s no currently gifs of it on tumblr’s gif search), but its design is actually impeccable, and it’s got a TON of personality packed in that succulent little body. An intensely underrated little fish.
Cramorant pls stay away/10.

I wanted to thank you for inadvertently helping me get a new shiny! I was having lots of trouble constantly getting male arrowkudas for your giveaways so I decided to hunt them and have a few waiting in reserver, and in the middle of this I found a shiny arrowkuda! So thanks!
That’s awesome, did you nickname it? And so sorry for getting back to you so late, tumblr must have ate the notif.
I gotta add Arrokuda to the list of pokemon dens I wanna hunt in Sw/Sh, that’d be a nice one to do once the bots I usually use are back up.

actually i forgot about arrokuda so bad that the other day i thought for a bit that cramorant's fish was just a generic unnamed fish
Tumblr media
obviously forgettability of a pokémon varies from person to person but the poor arrokuda line ... i completely forgot it ever existed until i was looking at the galar dex. it's so forgettable.

Canonically, in the anime and described in the games, yes!
Particularly, the bird-like Pokemon are most predatory. Spearow is described as eating Pokemon like Caterpie and Weedle, Tailow eats Wurmple, and even now, there's Cramorant that eats fish Pokemon like Arrowkuda! It's even a part of the different strategies with its ability. Every time it uses Surf or Dive, it tries to eat an Arrokuda and can fire it back as a retaliation attack- or if it's under 50% HP, it tries to eat a Pikachu!

WAIT. do pokemon eat other pokemon

With the kubfu, I gave my brother an arrowkuda because he can't seem to find one and was panicked about missing out but now he worries because I'm the og trainer and have already deposited my own for a kubfu it'll look like double dipping, should he find his own or is that ok?
It’s totally ok if he deposits it ☺️ I hope you two enjoy your new sparring buddies

finneon is nice. just dont get lumineon. has a nasty aftertaste. around here the easiest to get are wishiwashi and remoraid. normally I prefer wishiwashi since its easy. yesterday tho I splurged and picked up arrowkuda. it usually has a strong scent but if you get it fresh and use the right seasonings its some of the best deep fryin fish out there. at least that I've found
ooo how was the date? 👀
