-Elster suddenly, after fighting again, and again, and again, knowing, the cycle, and knowing that she only suffered a part of it, once she defeated falke for the last time, exists in the middle of nowhere, while Ariane wakes up in a hospital in a room, that no other people can see, and by luck, help, and determination, they meet, and get a house in the neighborhood, after a long time on Earth, while they both share their terrific memories with eachother in their sleep. Reliving the deaths of Elster and the constant suffering of Arianne in every dream, causing more insanity.

The concept has been around my mind, again and again. I can't write the full story, since I lack motivation (adhd??) but still, I wanna share the concept, pls no art (unless you really want to, cus I want your thoughts on it too)

Okay so If I'm understanding correctly we're looking at signalis BUUT at the end they get a cute earth-human AU and proceed relive the events of signalis through their dreams? (and consequently go insane- at least slightly?) Okay my thoughts? The point of signalis was an unhappy ending. The game was about a doomed love. There was never any feasible way for happiness and any one of the endings is heartwrenching at best. Nobody is happy at the end, not ariane, not adler,not falke, not elster, no one. Everybody goes down suffering.

BUT I get the idea behind a happy ending, you know? A little fanfic to make things better; on us AND on the poor space-lesbians.

I don't have much to add on that! Someone here, @/artifactart, has already made a number of fantastic pieces for this purpose! (minus the insanity-inducing nightmares.{I think}) and I HIGHLY recommend you mosey on over and check 'em out. The art is phenomenal and the concepts are great.

Now as a concept are we looking at IT WAS ALLLLL A DREEAAAM WAKE UP IN YOUR SUBURBAN NEIGHBORHOOOOOOOOD or YOURE DEALING WITH FORCES BEYOND COMPREHENSION AND ALSO CLEAR EVIDENCE OF MESSING WITH TIME AND REALITY WHICH JUST HAPPENED TO CHANGE INTO A SUBURBAN NEIGHBORHOOOOOOOOOOOOD

Cause both can work. I think artifactart went with option 2 which ROCKS since i'm not the greatest fan of 'it was all a dream' trope.
