Ainsley had never been one to get skittish once the sun had set.
Other children may hear stories from their parents of monsters and - as they grew into disbelief - those of predators waiting to snatch them away. Ainsley had never had such talks--Ainsley was a monster.
Alright, so perhaps it was nothing quite so dramatic. It was only that way in the eyes of frightened parents. To them, Ainsley was an equally nasty M word.
Thus, the mutant felt at ease on the empty street, even wearing the form of the young, pretty blonde that she favored so much. It was well past midnight, and there wasn't a soul in sight. The shops faced her with darkened windows - the space inside long since abandoned for the night - and the streetlamps bathed her surroundings in a dim, orange glow. The chill in the air had her drawing her sweater tighter around her thin frame, but beyond this discomfort there was no sign that such a late night excursion was anything out of the ordinary.
Had any living soul been around to ask what a nice young lady such as herself was doing out so late, then she may have told them (truthfully, though she did hate the truth) that she had been perusing the local morgue, keen to find a new face for her collection. She was, after all, getting bored with the few that she had.

"Don’t do that."
She turned her head to the other, her brow furrowing slightly. The brunette hadn’t believed what she had been doing to be wrong, but it seemed that other people had their own opinions.
     ”Why not?”

To: UnknownYou have the wrong number.
And as quickly as that the pictures were deleted. It was some kind of miracle that she didn't delete them before she sent her reply.

Ainsley/Alex
Who’s more dominant: Let’s face it, it’s just one long power struggle between the two, but Ainsley will allow Alex a more dominant role since he’s probably got a fragile male ego.
Who’s the cuddler: Ainsley. Beneath all that apathy and disgust towards people touching them, they just want to be connected to others (often in the physical sense). It’s too bad they just don’t cuddle—in fact, it’s a miracle if they even stay in the same bed.
Who’s the big spoon/little spoon: Ainsley would be the big spoon as they’d be the one trying to force him to suffer through affection.
What’s their favorite non-sexual activity: Probably highly illegal ones.
Who cooks: Someone who isn’t them and also capable of cooking.
Who comes home drunk at 3am: Ainsley, but Alex comes home high.
Who kills the spiders: Alex. Ainsley doesn’t care about spiders one way or another, but if it’s a big one they’ll insist that he doesn’t squash it too badly, so Ainsley can add it to their collection.
Who falls asleep first: Depends who exhausts themselves first.
A head canon: Okay this is a super lame headcanon I’m sorry but because when you first told me about the mutant AU I thought maybe Xavier was going to use his powers to parellel the Ludovico Technique ANYWAY—So I headcanon this happens and Alex is essentially ‘cured’ of all violent urges and eventually he falls in love with Ainsley OKAY I’LL THROW MYSELF OUT A WINDOW NOW.
Their relationship summed up in an icon image:

*Pins you to the wall and kisses you* ((Pass it on to the first ten on your dash or dont up to you)) {can be either muse, but Alexandra is preferred, hehe}
While being pinned to the wall so suddenly was somewhat anxiety inducing for Margot, the unexpected kiss was much more welcome. And so she kissed the other female back.
”Can I ask what that was for?” she questioned when given the chance.

"Librarian!" - Hannibal, page 104
Barney picked up the dead bird.
There was a sudden splat on the ground. She turned around, noting the bird that had fallen - either mid-flight, or sitting upon the streetlight that was almost right above the fallen animal.
The Verger daughter didn't usually bother herself with dead animals; she didn't see many, but it was her family's business. There was something different about seeing a bird that had just fallen to its death, though. The creatures soared around, singing the most beautiful songs one could hear. To think that their lives could and would be ended so suddenly was almost disgusting.
Margot walked over to the bird and looked down upon it before looking around to see if there was anybody that could help with it. Nobody would want to see a dead bird lying around the streets; the very least that could be done was to move away.

ʟᴀᴛᴇ ɴɪɢʜᴛs | ᴀʀᴛɪғɪᴄɪᴀʟʟʏɢʀᴀᴄɪᴏᴜs
6pm tomorrow. She’d had no need to write it down, she remembered it well enough. There were barely any chances for her to get away from Muskrat Farm, so she wasn’t about to go around forgetting the one chance she’d had in so long.
Margot waited at the table (she had been sure to book ahead; while she was certain that it wasn’t going to be too busy, it was always best to plan ahead), waiting for her company and not yet perusing through the menu. She thought it best to wait for her company for that.
The restaurant that she had chosen wasn’t the usual kind that she would go to, did she ever get the chance to go out for dinner. Unlike the Vergers’ usual preference of finely prepared meals and expensive pricing, the restaurant she currently sat in was quaint, not too busy though she was certain that it had good food and was adequately priced. Of course, that didn’t stop Margot from dressing like she usually would, as though she was actually at a very fancy restaurant. Then again, that was just how she usually dressed and she didn’t think of it as anything out of the ordinary.
She didn’t look around curiously for the woman that was to be her company. Margot believed Alex to be good for her word.
