Artsnacks February 2023 - Dawn Blossoms

What a lovely collection of colors! Had a lot of trouble with the pen -- it writes fine on normal copy paper but it struggled on the bristol for some reason. But in the end I decided to just run with it's woggliness as part of the style.

So I finally finished my @ArtSnacks piece! 🥨

This was made using two of their “Blind Date” boxes I opened back in February: “Mixed Media Muse” & “Paint Lover.” For my first art box experiences, I had a pretty good time! 🎨🖌

Did an art snacks challenge tbh I'm not that great with pencils, so this was definitely a challenge indeed. I loved the red acrylic ink and the dot marker.

This is based on childhood memories of going fishing with my dad who is gone now, and we'd joke about a giant fish living in the lake. I miss going fishing with him.

Here is the first of six Art Snacks boxes I got for Valentines Day. This one in particular is only using the supplies from the March box. I personally really like most of the products, except for the paint marker I received. It wasn’t the first one I’ve ever used one, well from this brand yes, but I’m just not sure if it was just a bad nib, but I could not get it to lay flat and it had a more sketchy texture to it.
