I have so many backlogged story mode on my games… WuWa, HSR, ZZZ, FGO, Ash Echoes, PtN, Hell Bad, Nukani….

….please stop looking at me with that judging eyes (´･_･`)

I started playing FEH again and the boss of the current Tempest Trial is crazy (； T.T)). Maybe I should make FEH+kareshi again sometimes, I kinda miss them.

Anyways, how about we see what kind of theme I got this time? This batch’s theme is:

FGO Final Journey story (from what I remembered) + my thoughts

MC get trapped in Virtual Reality combat simulator. To escape he has to work with other Crypters to defeat Chaldea in this virtual reality (they all just data).

The battle is like Vampire Survivors (I don't play this game but people say they are mostly the same). Basically you control a character paired with their servant(Guda Mash, Kadoc Ana ,etc), said servant will attack while positioned near the character. You get non-character exclusive extra attack by levelling up or picking chest. So you can get character spam GoB, throwing Kansho Byakuya, or even shooting Enuma Elish if you levelled them up enough in a round. All the stages are Lostbelts stages and you unlocked each playable Crypter once you moved to the next lostbelt.

Lostbelt 1: Stage 1 Boss Beowulf Stage 2 boss Ivan

First playable are Guda Mash and Kadoc Ana. Guda Mash has Mash bash her shield frontward, Idk much what she can do since this unit kinda meh playwise. Kadoc Ana is much enjoyable with Ana basically envelop Kadoc with aura which damages the enemy, and it grows bigger the more you level it up.

Lostbelt 2: Stage 1 boss Valkyrie Stage 2 boss Skadi

Ophelia started to become playable here. She has Sigurd (Surtr?) slashing enemy close to them. Overall ok but Kadoc is easier to use imo.

Lostbelt 3: Stage 1 boss Li Shuwen Stage 2 boss QSH

Akuta playable here accompanied with Lanling. Lanling gives charm to enemy he hits.

Lostbelt 4 Stage 1 boss Jinako Stage 2 boss Arjuna Alter

Pepe is playable here with Ash. Ash has flame wheel circling him for a time before disappearing and appearing again. The flame wheel is powerful but since it disappears for a time this unit kinda tricky to play.

Lostbelt 5 Stage 1 boss Odysseus Stage 2 boss Super Orion (the art is Artemis bearchoking him).

Wodime with Caenis is playable here. Attack feels as strong as Pepe but also much easier to use since Caenis spinning spear has less lag time. At final upgrade Caenis shoot water stream frontward for more damage.

Lostbelt 6 Stage 1 boss Summer Morgan/Aesc Stage 2 boss Summer Melusine (iirc, I didn't quite remember which comes first)

Beryl is playable and he has both Baobhan and Morgan. Also pretty OP as he auto target and spam Baobhan curse right at the enemy at range. More level means bigger range and target.

Lostbelt 7 Stage 1 boss Tlaloc Stage 2 boss Kukulcan

Daybit and Tez playable here also by far the best unit in the game. Tez is near Daybit as he shoot bullet. At max level he also spam red thunderstorm at area and skull which damages the enemy. Also he level up superfast at early on.

Final Story

Guda and the Crypters reached a castle and they encountered another Guda here (same gender as your Guda). This Guda2 looked very exhausted and on the verge of giving up as they unable to contact Mash and anyone else in Chaldea. Someone laughed and we see the true mastermind which is:

Koyanskaya wearing very skimpy clothes ala bikini and Koala ears for some reason. She calls herself Count Koalaskaya. Da Vinci asks how Koalaskaya able to hack the VR to which she revealed before Koyanskaya turned ally she handed an USB drive to Goredolf which filled with her virus. Goredolf remembered he plugged that USB drive when he was still not friendly to Chaldea. Da Vinci disappointed and suspect Goredolf used that USB to watch porn but Goredolf insist it was just VR racing game. Count Koalaskaya goal is to gather Guda's protagonist combat data that defies all odds and sent it to Alien God to ensure Guda's defeat. When Da Vinci asked who the Alien God is Koalaskaya refused to reveal it since it'd be spoiler, and also because she doesn't know either as she only knows its Email address. Koalaskaya claim Guda is already lost since Guda can either defeat Guda2 and has their combat data delivered to Alien God or Guda will simply stuck here forever, all lead to game over either way. Guda2 then gather all his power and transform into Cringe Chuunilord Grand Master class Guda2 (they dressed like Neo from Matrix with Golden Hair). There's also disclaimer to not take these things seriously. Facing with Guda2 power our Guda is about to give up until The Crypters give our Guda pep talk as to not give up. Guda and the Crypters then team up to defeat Guda2.

Final Stage: All the Lostbelt bosses + Count Koalaskaya as mid bosses + Cringelord Guda2 as final boss. Guda2 attack is bunch of servants rushing forward damaging us if we get hit by it.

Guda and The Crypters won and as Guda2 about to disappear Wodime says to Guda2 to not feel regret as they fought well. Guda2 disappear then Koalaskaya claim Guda has lost since the combat data has been sent. However our Guda instead feels confident instead of despair, as remarked by Wodime. All the Crypters take turns saying this battle prove they can overcome anything with Daybit close it that it was Koalaskaya who lost. Mash says she won't let Guda fight alone like what happened to Guda2. Koalaskaya disappears, then all the Crypters give last pep talk to Guda. Wodime also says its good to see Kadoc in good health and hope he and Guda can walk forward. Guda then logged out and credit starts rolling with FGO part 1 ending song Eternity Blue playing.

Some thoughts:

Honestly overall pretty good April Fools game. Gameplay pretty satisfying seeing all manners of Noble Phantasm flying around destroying everything. I still think the mix match servants still the most fun I ever had though.

Is Koalaskaya hint to summer Koyan? Who knows. What she wears is skimpy enough to pass a summer variant.

I said all Cryptes give pep talk to Guda but Beryl dialogue mostly consist of what it feels like NPC dialogues showing barely any personality. I guess it shows how hard it is to write Beryl as Guda's ally.

This and previous AP game really make Wodime as the leader and protagonist of the Crypters. He has the most dialogues followed closely by Kadoc. Daybit dialogue mostly concise and to the point. Wodime is the leader while Daybit is Ace in the hole.

It feels nice seeing the what if imagined Gigachad Guda looks like cringelord (which fits as its really amusing) and that they got defeated by Guda who relies on comradeship.

Oh poor fgo, I typed up a giant answer to this and then it disappeared (╥﹏╥)

Assasin of Shinjuku is my favorite servant of all time, so I'm holding him up here at the start so I can list some other assasins I like lol. I wouldn't be playing Twisted Wonderland if he and Floyd didn't share voice actors

Saber- it's technically Bedivere but I have to mention Gawain here too. I don't really like Gawain all that much but he keeps showing up and I do have a figure of him :/ so he gets an honorable mention. Bede is a wonderful Saber and deserves all the praise he gets.

Archer- Aśvatthāman. Would be Arjuna if he'd pick up the phone but for now it's Ash and his fat ti-

Lancer- I love Brynhildr, she's iconic, she is everything, she is the moment, and as a fellow deranged megane simp I can confirm she can do no wrong. Karna is also great ESPECIALLY with that lost belt skin.

Assasin- It's a tie between Osakabehime and Gramps. I was so fucking pissed when the Babylonia anime came out and they didn't animated Azreal, get Rin's ass out of the frame I want to see First Hassan!!!! Osakabehime and Idia are very similar so I think that'd explain why I'm so chill with him being. Well. Him.

Caster- Nitocris. Nothing but respect for MY pharoh.

Rider- Technically it's Boudica? But the way this game treats my girl I'd say it's really Ozymandius. ooooooh Nasu when I catch you, WHEN I CATCH YOU.

Berserker- Fran my beloved baby who has never done anything wrong. I love her so much, from her design to her np. She's just so peak.

Ruler- Martha Summer version because Sherlock is a dirty drunk. She can do and would never treat me wrong.

Avenger- It has to be Dantes. I'm getting a team together to kill Zeus and it's all designed around him.

Moon Cancer- none of them.

Alter Ego- is it bad that it's technically Mecha Eli-Chan? I unironiclly love Liz and her variants, everyone else is sick of it but I'm having fun.

Pretender- Oberon, he's one of the characters of all time.

Foreigner- Voyager is my son and I'm never letting him go, Pale Blue Dot is such a cool np.

I think that's everyone? I'm really behind in the main story :/ I should get back to playing it but I've been more focused on getting back into the ffxiv grind.

what is your favorite fgo servant?

It has to be her.

Asagami Fujino is one of my absolute favorite characters in fiction. While anyone who has seen her source material is able to understand her as a sympathetic villain, she only makes a major appearance in her dedicated film, Kara no Kyoukai 3: Tsuukaku Zanryuu (Remaining Sense of Pain). Her inability to feel pain has left her emotionally dulled and she has difficulty relating to others, even though she desperately wants to. Anyone who has seen this movie will have a grasp on her personality characteristics, something I feel I can relate to.

Below is an excerpt from her profile in Fate/Grand Order.

Possessing feminine mannerisms, verbal expressions and personality, but her hobbies are something far removed from girlish tastes. She prefers dark things that one can secretly enjoy alone, such as viewing horror movies. The person herself will not be aware of this until the end, but she has a latent predisposition to sadism. This is the reason why she becomes cruel, coldhearted, of bad taste as soon as she is driven to a corner.

In Remaining Sense of Pain, Fujino commits a string of murders against people that are aware of her ability to twist anything, a cruel form of telekinesis. She says that she doesn't want to hurt anyone, but she does secretly enjoy it.

Her addition to Fate/Grand Order is, by the game's admission, peculiar.

A temporary Servant manifested by the Counter Force for the purpose of acting against the incineration of humanity.

The era that Fujino lived in was turned to ash by the incineration of the anthropic principle. She too was burned to ashes, but her peculiarity was not overlooked by the Counter Force of the world. The Alaya-shiki adopted her superpower as a military asset for the sake of overturning the incineration of the anthropic principle and she was summoned by Chaldea as a transient Servant. For her, this current self is nothing but a "dream". Just like Shiki, this is an illusion of a single night that she is seeing just before being burned to ashes, and which will simply disappear if the incineration of the anthropic principle is not overturned. A person with normal sensitivities would fall in a state confusion and panic, but Fujino has smoothly accepted this abnormality. She perfectly understands her position as someone summoned as a Servant and probably will endeavor to help the Master, within the limits of what she can do.

The game essentially keeps her a secret, and her only appearance was, for the longest time, her initial banner on the Kara no Kyoukai collab event rerun. Even during this event, she does not appear in its story. Her first story appearance would not be until years later, during Summer 5 (Servant Summer Camp) where she plays the role of a ghost girl. In the epilogue of this event, we are afforded a rare glimpse into her sweet side, as she takes the protagonist, Ritsuka Fujimaru, on a date.

There's also gameplay reasons. Her defensive skill, Remaining Sense of Pain A, makes her virtually immune to potshots offered by most enemy normal attacks for a solid 3/5 turns. Meanwhile, her main offensive skill, Mystic Eyes of Distortion EX, gives her access to defense-ignoring on a skill, which is quite rare. All of her skills, actually, last three turns. To put it simply, at higher levels, she becomes an ultimate combination of offense and defense, I find.

In conclusion, I love her, and I love fighting beside her.

I don't care what kind of slander FGO tried to go forth with that got retroactively added to Fate/Extra with Extella and Link. Nero is an excellent singer, one gifted by Venus herself. They like to play and yuck it up in the gacha that her and Liz are bad but then in Extella when Liz sings and it's suppose to be "bad" it sounds great so i dunno what they're smoking.

You know what I’ll say it I’m actually emotional about Asclepius having a guts skill for himself now. He has always disregarded his own health and safety because he prioritizes everyone else around him above everything his patients always come first no matter what. He constantly throws himself into potentially dangerous situations in pursuit of his goals of being able to better care for those around him. He never cares how reckless he’s being because everyone else has always come first.

How much of this skill upgrade was potentially influenced by being surrounded by people who care deeply about him in Chaldea, by a master that has always cared too much and is so human it’s nearly unbearable. A master who is representative of the humanity Asclepius has always been doing this for, a master who cares if Asclepius is overworking himself or neglecting his own health for the sake of others, a master who lectures him and truly deeply cares about him as a person, a master who just wants Asclepius to take care of himself the same as he does with everyone else.

Asclepius realizing that for the sake of someone else he can allow himself to be just a little selfish.

Of all the lines in lb4, i think this is the one that still peeves me the most

Like, how did the writers have enough self awareness to make the guy who did the fucked up thing admit he did a fucked up thing, but not enough to explain why it happened (he was still resentful of the devious way his father was murdered, and thinking about revenge emotionally rather than rationally)? How did they settle on having him say “yeah they’re stupid but good people deep down trust me” instead of having him admit even good people can do bad things in literally any way that’s at least a bit more tactful than this? And then the story just shrugs his admittance to this off as no big deal and continues to call ash a hero? It just doesn’t sit right
