Something about Ash's Pikachu is just really funny to me.

Tiny little electric mouse that can't evolve and doesn't want to.

Can and will beat up Legendaries, no type advantage necessary.

He takes great pride in being adorable.

You think you're immune to electricity? Think again.

He has an entire song about his love for ketchup.

You'd think the fact that he has Static would mean that he can't absorb electricity. You'd be wrong.

He does charades with cute little imitations of other Pokémon.

Cynthia targets Pikachu first so she doesn't have to risk sending out Garchomp against him.

He's sweet and friendly and will happily share an apple with a Pokémon that repeatedly tries to kidnap him.

He attacks Arceus and makes it flinch.

Give me an Ash and Pikachu roleswap where Ash is an enthusiastic and stubborn Riolu determined to become an "Aura Master" by getting a Trainer and battling strong Pokemon while Pickett "Pikachu" Ketchum is an extremely snarky 10-year-old from Pallet Town who emphatically does NOT want to go on a Pokemon Journey.

This results in a combination of the world's snarkiest trainer having to deal with the most Shenanigan-Prone Pokemon in history, since Ash is still the Chosen One for a bajillion different prophecies and Pikachu as Ash's trainer is basically appointed the role of babysitter.

Ash, on winter break!

Our favorite boy takes a few months off from challenging leagues, after conquering the Indigo League. Delia hooks him up with a stylish new outfit, suiting for the season! Pretty awesome, huh?

The fact that so many Anipoke fans promote Serena and/or Amourshipping by using the fact that Serena was the only pokegirl Pikachu didn't shock is a little silly. Pikachu was startled by something or the pokegirls themselves when he shocked them or their belongings, which is a perfectly reasonable reaction. So just because Pikachu didn't shock Serena or her stuff DOES NOT make Amourshipping canon!! Serena probably just wasn't as upfront or aggressive with her love and affection as the other girls were. Also notice that the picture that Amourshippers refer to is one where Serena has SHORT hair, meaning that it is much later in Ash's Kalos journey, so Serena and Pikachu would've gotten to know each other long before then. Reminder: Pikachu shocked the other pokegirls or their stuff WHEN HE FIRST MET THEM. We don't see him shocking them later on, do we? I think Pikachu had a close bond especially with Misty and Iris over the course of the anime.

In Conclusion: PIKACHU NOT SHOCKING SERENA OR HER STUFF DOES NOT MAKE IT AN AMOURSHIPPING HINT NOR DOES IT MAKE THE SHIP FULLY CANON!!

Which of these didn't happen in Pokémon the Series?

So, this is an idea I had based on seeing someone do one for a different show a while back. Out of all of the options in this poll, eleven are real things that have happened over the course of Pokémon the Series during Ash and Pikachu's stints as protagonists. One of these is fake, and I want to see how many people can figure out which one! Or who are big enough nerds to have watched everything and know which one isn't real.

Please share! It's a fun way of telling people about the absolute nonsense that happens in this show from time to time, and I'm extremely curious about the results!

Hear me out: Ash Ketchum is a victim of the Tony Hawk effect.

There's no WAY he doesn't have an expansive in-universe Wikipedia article by now. The guy has been involved in literally everything you can imagine. But like, nobody in-universe recognizes him unless they've met him before (or unless they're Max, who's a geek with a hyperfixation and thus unfortunately doesn't qualify as a representative of the general populace).

Logically this must extend to AFTER he became world champion, I think. He's just going to keep traveling around and literally being one of the most famous trainers on the planet (if not THE most famous) and still nobody is going to recognize him. Instead they'll get him mixed up with another trainer with a Pikachu.
