I finally got to updating the aspiration legacy challenge with the aspiration of the new crystal creations pack. I also changed some of the rules and will continue editing while I'm playing through it myself so feel free to check it out.

I have started playing through many legacy challenges: disney princess legacy, career legacy, not so berry... I love the concept of them and even created my own legacy challenge (Aspiration Legacy Challenge). Following and getting to know different gens of the same family is so much fun.

Aspiration Legacy Challenge - Sims 4

✨Help me name her ✨

I'm starting my Aspiration Legacy Challenge over again for personal gameplay.

It's similar to the super sim challenge but it's where I complete all aspirations starting with the base game ones. I'm starting with the Athletic aspiration.

This is a lowkey challenge. To keep it fun and actually get to or past 10 generations, I'm keeping the rules minimal.

✨Challenge Layout:

-I will be completing the aspiration, the skills, and the career that the aspiration coordinates with, within that generation.

-Then move on to the next generation and start over again with the new aspiration, career, skills etc. Feel free to add your own spin!

-Move to a new location world every generation

I like the thought of completing everything, yet being able to make it a legacy. I have never been able to get past I think 6 gens, I think and that was FOREVER ago 😅

A Day in the Life of Skylar and Diego pt. 2

Skylar usually returned home before Diego, and during the hour she has to herself, she takes over Diego’s household duties. It was her turn to prepare the meals, set the table and do any remaining chores around the house. Prior to marriage, the two of them would often discuss life if they came under one roof and each other’s living habits; this helped to solidify the strength of their relationship by avoiding unnecessary complications that most couples encounter.

As usual, Skylar arrived an hour earlier than Diego and refreshed herself before dressing casually. She took the stairs down into the kitchen to locate her apron and began by washing the piling laundry. While collecting the clothes from the basket, Skylar went through options for dinner in her head.

“He made my favourite for breakfast, so I should make his favourite tonight”, she wondered out loud.

She put the last of the clothes into the washing machine, then headed back into the kitchen to prepare the food. Diego didn’t really have a favourite food, but he did like Mexican food, so she decided on a Taco Casserole for tonight.

A short while later, Diego rang the doorbell to the front door to announce his return from work. Skylar quickly washed her hands and rushed to open the door for him. It was difficult for the two to stay apart from each other due to work, so she was excited to see him again.

She opened the door to be greeted with a warm hug.

“Welcome home”, Skylar said with a slight chuckle.

Diego buried his head in the nook of her neck and exhaled deeply.

“I love hearing you say that”, he replied.

Skylar wrapped her arms around his back and returned the hug before parting shortly after.

“What’s cooking? It smells delicious”, Diego asked as he sniffed the air.

“Try guessing”, she said teasingly as she pecked his cheek.

Diego removed his coat and shoes by the entrance and walked after Skylar to the dining room. On the dining table, there was a beautiful arrangement for two with a Taco Casserole dish in a glass tray as the centrepiece.

“Oh! A surprise for a surprise, huh!”, Diego exclaimed while giving Skylar a child-like toothy grin.

He gently pushed Skylar towards one of the chairs and sat her down before taking the seat opposite her. His unconscious gentlemanly attitudes still made her bashful inside.

“Let’s dine, shall we?”, Diego proposed.

After dinner, Diego cleaned up after the meal while Skylar put the washed clothes into the dryer. After finishing up their tasks, the two of them gathered at the living room for their daily movie night.

“What should we watch tonight?” Diego asked.

“Anything is fine. Maybe something funny?” Skylar replied as she plopped down on the couch.

Diego crouched down and opened the drawers of the TV stand to browse through their movie collection. Since living together, Diego slowly found out that Skylar shared the same interests in movies with him.

He smiled slightly and took out a DVD, “I found a good one!”.

Diego closed the curtains and shut off all the lights before settling next to Skylar on the couch. In less than half an hour, the two find themselves in an entangled mess as they automatically seek out the warmth of each other.

The final credits eventually roll onto the screen.

“It’s done now”, Skylar said in between yawns.

Diego chuckled, “Sleepy head. Come on let’s get to bed then.”

He took her left hand into his and lightly pulled her along to their bedroom upstairs. By the time they reach the first floor, Skylar was almost half-asleep, so Diego took her into his arms and placed her under the covers of their bed. Diego tried to get up to brush his teeth before bed, but Skylar held onto his sleeve and pulled him onto the bed.

He chuckled again, “What am I supposed to do with you?”

Giving in to her whims and his own fatigue, he also got under the covers and pulled Skylar towards his arms before snoozing off.

I've created this challenge for a few reasons:

1. I couldn't find a similar challenge about the aspirations

2. I barely play through the aspirations unless I need reward points or if a challenge goal tells me to complete it

3. My personal gameplay doesn't usually include completing aspirations

Completing one aspiration in one generation would be too easy and a bit boring so I added some goals to make things a bit more interesting.

I hope you'll love this challenge as much as I loved creating it and I hope you'll find fun in playing through the generations and maybe find new ways to play ur discover new aspects of certain packs.

GENERAL RULES AND OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION

1.Money

Your founder starts out with 0 simoleons

All other gens will randomize a number between 0 and 3000 to start out with. They get this money from their parents when they move out

When you move someone in (a spouse, a roommate, etc.) divide their household funds by the amount of household members, that's the amount of money they will take with them to your household

2.Living

Your founder can live where ever they want unless the goals say differently

Your gens can't live in the same world for 2 generations in a row

You can move at any time but you can't use money cheats for it

when your heir moves out, you can use the FreeRealEstate cheat to move to a new empty plot

Every generation starts on an empty plot

3.Newborns and Infants

Since the newborn life stage is only 1 day, you can’t age them up early

You can age up infants early if:

BASE GAME: You find out 3 foods they like/love

GROWING TOGETHER: reach 2 milestones for every category except for 'Life'

4.Child and Teen aspirations

HARD MODE: Complete all child and teen aspirations at least once throughout the whole legacy

You can follow your teens to school, but you don't have to

Complete a child/teen aspiration if the reward trait can help you with the generation goals

5.Offspring

Your children and teens must have an A in school beforetheir birthday

Toddlers need at least level 3 in 3 skills

At the beginning of each generation, roll a number between 1 and 6 for the amount of children you will have

Losing a child is not the end of the challenge. You can replace them or just have less options for an heir

6.CAS

Your founder can look however you want unless the rules say differently

You can pick the founders traits unless the rules say differently

After the founder, all traits are randomized

7.Other

You can play this as a standard 10 generation legacy, a randomized legacy (1-76) or follow the order below

You can move out as a teen or young adult

The Cycle of Repetition

When life is consistent and void of excitement, every day is an endless cycle of repetition. This is true of everyone for majority of their life, however, the people around us during these moments define our interpretation of these stages.

Skylar’s depiction hadn’t been positive before Diego officially moved into her life. She had presumed that achieving her dreams of a lovely home would bring her true happiness, thence she worked relentlessly for days and nights to reach this goal. Soon, she finally purchased a family house and even met a potential partner. As far as Skylar was concerned, her vision of a big family was within her grasp.

However, with time, she started felt a sense of emptiness precisely in the house she worked hard to attain. A large two-storey house with 4 bedrooms and a giant garden, yet only one person within its walls. Work took her outside, and Diego made Skylar feel truly alive. But as soon as she entered the house, silence would encompass her.

Most nights felt cold and isolating, so she switched on every light in the house to feel secure. Other nights she would simply gaze out the window at the houses across filled with laughter and warmth. This cycle would repeat and repeat until slowly Skylar began to lose sight of her dream.

Diego’s proposal shook her awake. She remembered what was truly important – a family. Tears had poured that day and more when they got married. Like a bright shining light, Diego not only lit her heart but every corner of the house she could now call home.

Every day of the repeating cycle now was a gift to her. His heartbeat as he lay next to her, the footsteps other than her own, the smell of food when he cooks, and the sound of his voice bouncing across the walls of the house. The emptiness was completely destroyed and replaced with happiness and affection.

A Day in the Life of Skylar and Diego pt. 1

It may have been the newly wed vibes in the air, or maybe they just loved each other passionately but Skylar and Diego’s days revolved around each other. Every waking moment and breath they took was with each other in mind.

Diego always woke up early. The faintest light could arouse him from his sleep, leaving him open-eyed from the beginning of dawn. During weekends, he combats this by keeping the blinds shut tight, however, since marrying Skylar, everything has changed. He found his greatest joy now was to lay on his side and observe the sleeping form of Skylar next to him. And so, he did today as well, with an elbow on his pillow propping up his head, as he fondly gazed at her curled-up figure breathing softly beside him. Skylar’s serene facial expression as she slept always filled him with warmth, leaving him smiling like an idiot.

After over an hour of admiring the beauty next to him, he got up and headed down to prepare breakfast as routine. Today, Diego was going to make Skylar’s favourite blueberry pancakes with cream. He began whisking away the batter as he slowly hummed to himself. Upstairs, Skylar stirred to the familiar sound of his voice and the enticing smell of blueberries. She groggily lifted her head off her pillow and slowly scanned the room – not here. With the drowsiness still apparent in her, she slid off the bed and sat upright, with her legs tucked beneath her, then laid her head on the mattress next to her. Not yet.

Diego plated the breakfast, discarded the apron wrapped around him, then headed to wake up his wife. When he got to the room, Skylar was sitting on the floor, snoozing.

Adorable, he thought.

He gently shook her then kissed her forehead, “C’mon sweetheart. It’s morning.”

“MMM”, Skylar groaned in reply.

“I made your favourite today”, Diego said.

To this, Skylar blinked a few times then lifted her arms in gesture towards Diego. He looked down at her for a second, chuckled, then lifted her into his arms. In response, she wrapped her arms loosely around his neck. Ever since their marriage, Skylar loved being carried in his arms. He took her downstairs and into the dining area, where he gently seated her onto a chair and tucked her in.

“Ahh blueberries”, Skylar said with a satisfied sigh.

“A great way to start the morning, don’t you think?” Diego implored

“The best!” Skylar exclaimed, then planted a kiss on Diego’s cheek, “But I love anything you cook, anyways”

Diego blushed a little.

“Let’s eat then”, he replied.                    

The two spent their breakfast in excited chatter. Following breakfast, Diego did the dishes while Skylar headed to freshen up first. When Skylar worked in retail, she had an afternoon shift but after landing her dream job at Simstagram as a Community Manager, her working hours started very early.

Diego wrapped up the washing and left them to dry on the dish rack before heading upstairs as well. While Skylar dressed, he showered. Shortly later, he got out the of the shower with nothing but a towel around his waist causing Skylar’s heart to skip a beat.

“Tempting me on a working day, huh?” Skylar teased.

She walked closer to him and ran a finger along his chest from top to bottom. Diego smirked a little, then, with his hands cupping her face, softly kissed her lips and brought her body closer to his.

Skylar’s face slowly began to tinge red.

“I’ve become better at this, right?” Diego chuckled in response.

Diego picked up his undergarments and began dressing. Skylar quickly turned around to control herself. She sat herself in front of the vanity mirror and began doing her makeup, whilst making the occasional glance to the view behind her.

Diego finished changing then attempted to do his tie; something he was never good at. Frustrated from the failed attempts, he pulled it over his head and threw it on the bed. Skylar made the finishing touches to her makeup, then walked towards Diego and picked up his tie.

“Here, let me help”, she said.

“How did I ever manage to do anything without you?” Diego questioned out loud.

Skylar giggled, lifted his collar then laced it around his neck. She began working on the knot while involuntarily increasing the proximity between them. Diego peered at her face, a short distance away from his own.

Once done, she looked up at him only to be greeted with a tight, warm hug.

Diego muttered, “I hate being apart from you because of work”.

A small smile formed on Skylar’s lips.

“Me too”, she whispered as she kissed him tenderly on the forehead, “But we can’t avoid it, honey”.

“I know”, he said with disappointment in his voice.

They withdrew from their embrace and walked downstairs hand in hand, only reluctantly separating when heading off to work.

Proposal

Diego woke up abruptly to the sound of the alarm – not that he could sleep much anyway. Today is the day; maybe the most important one of his whole life. Meeting Skylar a year ago was the best thing that had happened to him. Girls never found his timid demeanour impressive, and when he did date, it always ended badly. Drunken nights hadn’t been uncommon for him during his college years.

Even after securing a corporate job, he couldn’t keep a relationship. Honestly, he had been envious of his friends (just two) as one got married and the other travelled the world with his partner. Then he saw her at that diner: Skylar Quintana.

She took his breath away the moment she entered through the doors. Her little giggles tickled his ear and he couldn’t keep her eyes off her. Diego had almost messed that one up too, but she was different. She had given him a chance when others simply ignored him. Fast forward a year later and he was in a relationship where he was certain that she loved him just as much as he did.

He had long decided she was the one, and spent several months planning for the big day. Today is the day he would propose to Skylar Quintana. Every Saturdays, they would have their usual date – a stroll at the park, ice-creams then dinner at their favourite restaurant. Diego quickly got ready. Before leaving, he placed the box with the ring safely in his coat pocket, then headed to the store to buy her a bouquet of flowers.

He waited at the usual spot. Skylar was running a bit late, which gave Diego some time to calm his nerves about the day. He then saw her running towards him in the distant. His first thoughts were “beautiful”. She was in a short white dress with matching white flats and her hair loose. Even with sweat dripping down her face, she was gorgeous.

“I’m sorry I’m late. The buses got delayed again!” Skylar panted.

“It’s fine, sweetheart”, Diego said with a chuckle. He paused for a second then said, “Do you know how beautiful you are? Especially today, you’re breathtaking”.

Skylar felt her face getting red. Diego smirked knowingly, handed her the bouquet, then dramatically kissed her hand.

“Oh my gosh! You’re killing me today”, Skylar exclaimed followed by Diego’s laughter.

He then took her hand in his and proceeded with their date.

“I’m not sure what’s so special but you’ve been extremely charming today, Diego”, Skylar said, as the two walked towards the bus stop.

“I-I’m not sure what you’re talking about. Am I not this charming every day?” Diego nervously covered.

“Hmm…well, this is me” Skylar said as they reached the bus stop.

It was the same bus stop where they first exchanged numbers. When Diego frantically ran up to her determined not to miss his chance. He was glad he didn’t let her go, which was precisely why this was the place.

“I wonder when the next bus will arrive”, Diego said, gesturing Skylar towards the time table.

She walked towards it and searched for the writing in the dark.

“It’s coming in 5 minutes. That’s faster than-” Skylar began as she turned around. She halted.

Diego was on the ground with one knee and his hand inside his coat pocket. He looked up at Skylar’s astonished face, lightened by the lamp post. She really was beautiful. He brought out the ring then lifted it towards her.

“Skylar Quintana. You are the most beautiful woman I have ever met. I mean, I loved you the moment I laid my eyes on you a year ago in that restaurant”, Diego said. He paused for a second and continued, “I’ve got more weaknesses than strengths and despite that, you said you loved me. I’ve been ready to be by your side for a long time now, so if you feel the same…will you marry me?”

A minute passed, then two. Diego was met with silence. His heart began to drop. He never considered her rejecting him, and now the possibility loomed over him like a big shadow. Suddenly, Skylar burst into tears. Diego was shocked.

“Wait. What happened? I’m sorry!” Diego exclaimed.

“Why are you apologizing?!” Skylar said while bawling.

Diego began, “No, I mean, I didn’t think you’d hate it so-”, and before he could finish, Skylar jumped into his arms and kissed him.

“Of course, I’ll marry you! I love you so much”, Skylar said between sobs.

The heavy weight that was over Diego instantly lifted, and his face broke out into a grin. Diego placed her on the ground then lifted her left hand and placed the engagement ring.

“I can’t wait to be yours forever”, Diego said, as the bus approached the stop.

The Day He Moved Pt. 2

The interior of the house was painted in an array of orange, yellow and red as the sun began setting over the horizon. All of Diego’s belongings had been brought in, but only a few were unpacked despite working the whole time.

“You have way too many things!” Skylar exasperated, “I knew you liked to collect things but there is way too many for two pairs of hands to unpack!”

Diego sheepishly laughed, “Sorry, some of these are from my teen years. We can get rid of it if you want…”

Skylar paused for a few seconds then bent down into a box and picked up a snow globe.

She looked at him and shrugged, “These items are part of who you are, so I’d rather keep it than not”.

Her nonchalant statement made Diego’s heart flutter. He walked up to Skylar who had her back turned, spun her around then planted a deep, long kiss on her lips. Skylar fluttered her eyes shut and hugged him.

“If it wasn’t for my work, I’d get married to you right now”, He said with a low voice, then buried his face in the crook of her neck.

Skylar ruffled his hair and then a thought came to her.

“Then why don’t we?” she said, unexpectedly.

Diego lifted his head and gave Skylar a puzzled look.

She continued as Diego’s eyes slowly widened, “There’s a church down at the next town. We could drive down there and have a shotgun wedding plus it’s not like I have any family but if-”

Before Skylar could finish, Diego lifted her into his arms.

“Let’s do it.” He said, “Let’s do it now!”

It was Skylar’s turn to be surprised. Diego carried her off into the car, then disappeared back into the house for a few minutes. He ran up and down the stairs, grabbing all the essentials as he went, before shortly returning.

“Are we seriously doing this?”, Skylar implored, with anticipation in her voice.

Diego wasn’t the bravest person she knew or the most spontaneous one. So, when he took charge with such determination like this, it shocked and excited her. Diego turned the ignition keys. He turned his heads towards her then gave her a peck.

Looking into her eyes, he said, “When I’m with you, everything in the world including my reason disappears. Sometimes, it’s like I have superpowers”.

Butterflies materialized in Skylar’s stomach, and her heart began to race. She knew what he was talking about because she felt the same. There were moments when she just wanted to yell her feelings out loud for the world to hear.

Skylar placed her hands on his, and replied, “Ok. Let’s do this”.

The car revved to life as the engine started. Diego placed his foot on the accelerator and sped out of the driveway and into the streets.

The Day He Moved Pt. 1

It was a hot, summer afternoon when Diego moved in with Skylar. The sun’s piercing rays vaporized every cloud in sight, leaving the sky in bright, yellow irradiation; the air was hot and arid. The sounds of people and animals had died down as rising temperatures kept them off the streets, leaving only the desperate chirping of crickets during the height of summer reverberating throughout the town. Diego wasn’t set to arrive until an hour later, so Skylar got to preparing cool drinks and food to pass around.

Just two months before this day, Diego had proposed to Skylar – and while it wasn’t romantic to many, it was at the very place they first expressed romantic interest in each other. Although Skylar had always longed for a big family, she never thought too deeply about the love and dedication that came with it.  

‘It was beautiful’, Skylar thought with a little smile forming on her lips. She was exuberant.

Skylar walked outside to the personal minibar in her backyard and began mixing 6 mimosa margaritas. Over the years she picked up many skills during her part-time jobs, and bartending happened to be one of them. She placed the drinks on a serving tray along with a platter of cheese, then carried them into the living room.

Outside front, Skylar heard the rumbling sound from a vehicle with a large engine. It seemed to pull up on her sidewalk.

‘Must be the moving truck’, Skylar thought.

She hurriedly opened the door and jogged towards the front porch. A familiar tuft of blonde hair popped out from the truck’s door. He was here! Thrilled, she ran and leaped towards him.

“Woah! Skylar?! You surprised me”, Diego exclaimed.

He barely managed to grab onto her with the timing. The movers inside the truck had climbed out and were laughing at the scene. She forgot. Skylar got off and a light blush crept along her ears and cheeks. She shyly gestured them towards her house and headed in with Diego.

Aspiration Legacy Challenge

All Heirs MUST have BLUE eyes (or your preferred color) Going by distribution of genetics, children with a parent that had blue eyes can marry a blue eyed sim to get the next heir

The goal of this challenge is to complete at least one aspiration from each section (Such as Family, Food, etc.). If you prefer to make the challenge harder, you can change the goal of the challenge to completing every single aspiration available to you (per generation or simultaneously). 

Now the rules:

1. Only the aspiration of the founder and their heirs can be fulfilled. Once the founder has completed their aspiration, they must select an heir from their children (blood-related) who will then replace the founder and complete their aspiration from a different section and so on and so forth.

2. The starting founder must have an aspiration from Family.

3. The heirs can be of any status - sim, alien, plantsim or vampire.

4. You cannot interfere and fulfill the aspirations of the founder's and heir’s spouse/s or other offspring (after they are a teen).

5. You can only play with the founder's spouse for story progression or assistance with the founder's aspiration (for example: feeding the toddlers or cleaning their diapers).

However, if any of your children have a spouse or partner in the same household, you are allowed to play as them to further story progression however, none of the children and their spouse can interfere in completing the founder's aspiration (for example; for successful lineage, they cannot assist other children in homework or take care of them)

6. Once a child has completed their aspiration, he/she MUST be aged up (even if they’re one of twins or triplets) and vice versa (therefore, if the child hasn’t completed their aspiration, they cannot be aged up to a teen before their birthday).

7. No money cheats [you can marry someone that is loaded instead ;D

8. Hiring services requires a certain amount of money in the household

Butler - 15,000 simoleans

For the ease of story progression, the founder of the consequent generations does not have to get married nor have children. When their aspiration is completed, they can make their sibling's children the next heir.

Blossoming Feelings

Several weeks following the gathering, Skylar and Diego frequently stayed in contact with each other. They couldn’t meet often due to work but caught up during the weekends. Skylar’s initial impressions of his meek personality slowly dissipated as she got to know him better. Yes, he was a little shy in unfamiliar situations, but he knew when to take the lead, be a gentleman and protect her when needed. She increasingly grew fond of him and Diego was already in love. Their favorite place was the restaurant they first met at – Skylar and Diego would sometimes just sit with a single plate of food, or just a coffee for hours until closing time before they reluctantly parted with each other.

Skylar Meets Diego

Her first meeting with him was at their celebration. Skylar got up to take a short bathroom break and bumped into him besides the restroom doors. A few awkward glances, a blushing face, and apologies were exchanged before Skylar hurried to finish her business. Later, when the meetup was over, he took the chance to approach her and handed her the earring she had lost. He introduced himself as Diego Enriquez and tried to carry on a conversation with her.

Skylar found him meek but interesting; so she asked him to walk her to the bus – it being far, made a good opportunity for the two to get to know each other a bit.

At the peak of their conversation, they had already arrived,  and Diego – not having the courage – sheepishly walked away, disappointing Skylar a little. 5 minutes passed, then 10, before the bus was visible in the near distance along with the blurry figure of Diego running towards her. It amused Skylar and made her laugh at his silliness. She waved the bus off when it stopped and playfully said, “Well then, I’m going to be really late getting home now, huh?”

He nervously laughed but asked to exchange numbers. Not wanting to leave, the two of them waited for the bus together.

A Friendly Gathering

Several weeks later, Skylar had moved out of her dinky apartment and into her new home. She didn’t have much to unpack other than the bare necessities, but she figured she had time to slowly fill up the place. Her best friend had come to help her out with everything and decided to call for celebration. She called up some of their college friends and gathered for a meal at a small diner in the city. Everyone got to talking about her new development in life – cheers passed around, selfies taken, and a lasting memory of happiness. Other than the usual crowd, Skylar also got to know a few new faces and exchanged her number in hopes of a connection somewhere. Unbeknownst to her, this would happen from a completely unexpected place as a blonde boy sitting in the neighboring table with his two friends kept sneaking glances at her.

Quintana Family Home

After leaving her place, Skylar travelled to Willow Creek to inspect the house she planned to buy one last time. The house was a double-storey 4 bedroom house with 2 bathrooms and a large backyard. The neighborhood was lovely with a nice fishing spot, jogging pathway and most importantly, big families for neighbors. Skylar had dreamed to have at least 2 children after marriage; the problem was, she still didn’t even have a first boyfriend. So until she found her future spouse, she wanted to at least entertain the thought by watching happy families and pampering her neighbor’s children.

Happy with her final decision, Skylar signed the papers for her house and made a “quick” stop at several furniture stores to make some decisions for the interior before returning to her little bedroom and retiring for the day.
