i feel like i need to properly put down how i feel about cc interactions, shipping and boundaries on this platform, just so there can be no doubt about my opinions.

if you don't agree, that's fine, but don't come crying when you see something you dislike when continuing to look through my blog. you can click away right now if you're a cc or from twitter, it's so easy to get off my post or account, yeah? <3

first of all, let's make it clear that tumblr and Ao3, my main platforms, are not for content creators originally. they are fan spaces, made by fan and for fans to express themselves openly without judgement, not for the creators. if they see something they don't like, it's up to them for entering these spaces.

i fully believe we as fandoms should tag when something has contents that might make a creator uncomfortable. shipping, gore, anything of the sort should be tagged appropriately and kept out of the main fandom tags so they can be blocked, muted, and avoided by people (not just creators, fans as well) who don't want to see these things. it's not even hard to do, so let's do that yeah?

now ... boundaries ... *shivers*. evil evil word that i will hate that one gross 2019 youtuber for forever, because he sent the mcyt fanspaces into absolute chaos and it's still getting worse. of course, every person is free to state what makes them uncomfortable, what they don't want to see, and it's entirely fair of them to do so. not wanting to see this on a platform they're active on, see fan contents daily on, check out every single day, is a normal demand of them to make, right?

HOWEVER. HOWEVER. there is a difference between a boundary and enforcing hard-set rules on a fandom. if you have a boundary against shipping, you don't go to places where shipping is ingrained into the fandom culture, such as Ao3 and tumblr, and then complain about the shipping. you make sure you have everything blocked about shipping and you are entirely in your right to ask fans not to send you/talk to you about shipping related things. you should not, however, ban the whole community from shipping at all. a fandom is a fandom, let them have their fun, it literally does no harm at all if they keep it from you. if someone is being a weirdo, block the hell out of them. you just can't tell a fandom what to do, that defeats the whole purpose of a fandom!

shipping is entirely harmless. RPF, yes the infamous 'Real Person Fiction', is entirely harmless. you shouldn't dangle it in front of their faces anyways, so how the heck will it do anything to them? if they look it up, that's on them.

know that you can do whatever you want forever <3

What I find so fascinating about Pluto's preview in Aqua is that we're seeing a spectrum of how Aquarius can play out. Many Aquariuses, in my experience, feel like they're lone wolves that are de-fanged and forced to live amongst livestock. There's this inherent anti status-quo mentality they carry in response to rejection and negligence. They're often depicted as 'truth tellers' because they value authenticity above all else and there's nothing more authentic than the cut and dry truth. But therein lies a conundrum of what we define 'truth' as and where Aquarius can suffer from polarized black and white rigid thinking.

And whatever sign Saturn visits will tell you exactly how it can be rationalized and played off. In Pisces, there's a need to speak up for what and who's been wronged and wounded, especially since Pluto, imo, aggrandizes and transmutes power structures. There's been a lot of brush fire to the forests of secrecy regarding industry mistreatment. Certain people have been vindicated and are having their stories told. But . . .

Under Pisces, there will be a tendency for there to be a 'who's a greater victim?' narrative because Saturn in Pisces is a placement which believes it has to torture itself to learn how the 'real world' works. And that's often something it was taught. Culturally speaking, this means that while there'll be compassion given, Pisces, when it isn't being fanatical at its worst, can suffer from a lack of boundaries or clear discernment. So while Aquarius's boundaries are clear cut and defined, Saturn in Pisces will muddy that line regarding accusers and the accused.

But it can also work to the advantage of victims/survivors who've been suppressed all this time to come forward to have their voices heard. Saturn in Pisces also creates a safe space for the victimized--but can lead to an unfortunate downside where people will only want to support those who are still wounded or actively suffering. Much like Motaz, a Palestinian refugee and journalist on tiktok, who was told to not talk about himself and should only talk about Palestine (and the implicit horrors of it). They didn't see him as human.

There'll be this question of what a 'perfect' victim looks like. And how legitimate a 'true' freedom fighter of the system looks like too.
