[The dragon's lower body sways slightly as her tail wags to the thought of it-she had her fair share of stealing after all.]

Thank you!! My trainer calls it my star, I guess because it looks so much like one. It's a way to tell if different ones of us are related, apparently.

( @asktheisle ) Draco blinks a few times-she wasn't imaging the Mew, that was certainly one right in front of her. The Garchomp makes as much effort possible to appear harmless in hopes of not scaring Kahurangi. "I've only heard of Mew existing before, but I've never seen one until now. I've heard they're usually pink, so I have to guess that you might be shiny? Is that why you're here in this sanctuary? I know shinies have a harder time out in the wild-at least that's what's said."

"Oh, hello. Yeah I guess mews are pretty rare." Kahurangi chuckled. "While many mews in other worlds are pink and only blue as shinies, mews here can be any color. Like red, green, blue… yellow."

"Well, even ignoring my colors it's true that it can be hard for mew's to be out on their own. So, that's definitely a perk of this place. Not to mention, some human food is delicious!" She laughs.

"By the way, I don't think I've ever seen a garchomp with such a large yellow mark on their snout. It's really unique and cool." She said excitedly, her hands/paws clasped together and her tail wagging in excitement.

[The dragons may need to be bribed to let him go.]

(@asktheoger) "Hey!! Can you pretty please put him down???" Aya asked the dragons, giving them a wide, watery-eyed look. "If you want, you can pick me up instead!!"

(primordial-blessings) "You're going to visit the Dragon Cave, you say?" Calyx asks Nat, overhearing the conversation about the group's upcoming travel plans. "This...I haven't heard of such a cave. Is this an important place on your island? Are there only dragon-type pokemon there or do humans frequently visit?" A place dedicated to dragons, the audino seems quite interested.

I've only ever seen dragons live here, but plenty of Pokemon come and go through the area and stay temporarily. The most frequent visitors are myself and my cousin, but several people have permission to come here on their own!

I don't really know the full of it-that's something Rey would know of any of the dragons here-but I wouldn't be surprised if people came through here a lot in the past. It's a part of my family's territory after all, and if they got along with Darkrai of all Pokemon, I don't think dragons were that much harder. Maybe that's just me talking though.

[Through blurry eyes and the haze of pain, Nat tried to assess the damage Draco took. She was responsive still, which was the most important thing. It was generally advised to avoid touching an injured pokemon let along a dragon as they could snap out of fear and pain, yet Nat was gentle the entire time he felt around for anything out of place.]

[Everything around them faded into the background, Nat paying no mind to what was happening right next to him. He thought he heard Cooper say something about having to get an incident report going as they were still on league grounds, but it was the least of his worries at the moment. Despite his current fatigue he felt himself getting worked up, and with that Nat began to lose focus on what he was doing.]

[Painful was an understatement. The Garchomp's tail hit him with full force, the wind knocked out of his lungs as Nat was sent flying into the dirt where he rolled from the momentum of it. The initial pain was fast and vicious followed by a ringing in his ear, which combined with the tumble he took made for the dizziest moment of his life.]

[The world was spinning violently and nothing could keep him grounded, Nat soon doubling over in the grass with only enough strength to hold himself off of the dirt.]

[Khal's Outrage soon subsided as the dragon reeled and stumbled, only then being called back into his pokeball before he hit the ground.]

[Nat couldn't make sense of the chaos unfolding around him, hardly registering the commotion as he recovered from the onslaught of nausea he felt.]

[His friend soon at his side gave Nat enough support to lean back as he tried to process what had happened. The pain radiated across the entire right side of his body to the point that even if he did break something, he wouldn't be able to register what it was. Weakly waving Cooper off he dragged himself back to Draco-going as quickly as he could despite the state he was in.]

[There was no time for any grand gestures, this wasn't the tournament. The weight of the situation dawned on the duo as they stared up at the beast that was before them-curled horns, jagged body, for a moment it was like there wasn't a dragon before them but instead a machine. A unit with the sole purpose of destruction.]

[Draco's Garchompite flashed quickly as if the stone itself knew the stakes at hand.]

... What happened to you?

A Little Later, Elsewhere...

[The older dragon's scales jangled in protest as he shook his head, Alaka'i's tone changing slightly.]

I'm serious, Manō. What you did out there today was nothing short of amazing.

You're becoming a mighty fine leader of this team, you're only going to get better from here.

[Draco watched as he walked off to sunbathe in the grass-the rest of the team out of their pokeballs and resting in the greens near the housing complex for those participating in the tournament. Nat had run off with Cooper for a few moments, the entire team sensing a peculiar agitation off their trainer. However he dismissed it as he went off with a small smile.]

[While the others were stretching or resting, a familiar call reached Draco. One she hadn't heard in ages.]

[Draco ventured further from the group, still able to see them and only far enough to keep track of her surroundings. The call became louder as she progressed through the denser trees, tilting her head as the call echoed once more between the trees.]

... Dad?

[Something was off... there was something wrong with this, and they both started to realize it.]

[Nat wouldn't even try to get an attack in, only having Draco stay on the defensive for her own safety.]

[The others began to pick up on it too. It made sense that Nat and Draco were the first to notice something off-they had known the pair they were facing all their lives. The ferocity of the attacks was unseen before.]

[A deafening crack, one that couldn't be ignored by anyone. There was no way to do anything in that moment, Khal on his dangerous rampage and showing no signs of stopping soon. Something gave way but it was impossible to tell what exactly-whether something was broken or not, that didn't stop Draco from trying to get up from the ground and out from under the larger dragon to no avail.]

A Little Later...

[It was meant to be a quick battle-ones that were seen as traditional to settle scores in the past. Nat's team had time to rest at least, and the members with grievances were more than fired up to make up for any shortcomings in regards to energy.]

[It was unspoken knowledge that Alaka'i and Spirios had the most issues with each other, considering they both started the escalations. Carefully monitored by a neutral party the two dragons started to exchange blows, aggression increasing with each swing and slam.]

[Nat had seen the Dragonite's horn break in the past, but nothing like this. Wine-dark blood trickled from the base of where the horn was ripped off-direct payment for the multitude of scales that were yanked off before they were ready to shed in the past. The rage expressed by the usually calm Kommo-o froze Nat in place for a few seconds before he immediately recalled the dragon back into his pokeball, it was more than enough by that point.]

[The aerial skirmish that took place afterwards ended as swiftly as it started. Vibria tended to take to the sun and use the light as a distraction-but she had to learn that from someone after all. A Perish Song for security before a Dragon Claw from the heavens, and the bat came crashing down into the dirt with a loud thud.]

[It was the deciding match. Leader against leader, a father and his daughter. A father and the son he wouldn't acknowledge. And hopefully, it would be the last time there was such a confrontation.]

Much Later...

She spends a lot of time resting. Some of the local grass types come by and use Aromatherapy to help speed things along. From what I can gather, she's looking and doing just fine.

Nat spends more time on Alola than here nowadays. If you ask me-I think it's because it's too quiet here, makes it easier for his mind to wander over here. He'll pop around, keep to himself. He only really talks when he updates me on where he's gonna go and when to expect him again.

Refuses to talk to anyone about what happened, I don't think he'll talk about it for a good while. No one that's stopped by can get him out of his funk.

I got a hold of our other cousins, trying to see if they can help with things since those Magi are coming again soon. I'm not gonna put it on him to play host this time around.

[Alruba carefully looks over the Garchomp, taking her time to check things over. In their brief talk earlier Nat had gathered they knew plenty about dragons, but didn't realize until that moment how far that knowledge extended. She would lift her hand away in perfect anticipation of any discomfort that Draco would've expressed, the entire situation passing smoothly as the older individual sat back in thought.]

Garchomp have to have strong necks, considering they have a tendency to dive headfirst into dirt and find themselves coming across tough rocks at times. She probably has a small fracture at worst, nothing that getting a scan at the center can confirm. The cracking and snapping never gets easier to hear, but it would've taken much more to be fatal.

At the base of her fin, there's a little bit of bone. It's like how humans have just a bit of bone in their nose. It feels like it got misaligned in all of that mess, and that's the worst of her injuries I would think. A bit painful, but a quick fix the pokecenter can deal with.

As for the breathing situation... well, they've evolved to use both gills and nostrils. Keep her in a clean area that doesn't get much pollutants in the air, once she physically recovers you'll have to steadily train her stamina back up-nothing that running around a few laps a day can't fix.

The center might instruct you to put a warm compress on her-she might look like a Buizel for some time, but an inner-tube like the kind children use to swim will keep it in place. Let her sunbathe too when possible, it'll be just as useful.

[Another slam, another shock wave of pain through Draco. The dragon that she thought was her father continued on his rampage, his stomps blocking the airways that her gills supplied. The world became dark and confusing, the only consistent stimuli being the onslaught of attacks that she was at the mercy of.]

[The world only continued to get darker.]

[He didn't know what took over him in that moment. First he was on the ground and helpless, the next running into the violent display head on. He said words he hadn't said in a long time. He hadn't used that tone in even longer. All he knew was that he had to do something, anything.]

[While Khal oriented himself again, Nat ran in to cover. There was no solid thought in mind, nor a success rate. He could only be as much of a shield as a piece of paper could be in that moment, but if it meant cushioning another blow-he'd take it.]

[If anything he hoped he could be enough of a distraction to pull attention away from Draco. He could run then, he was used to doing such things on Tano when the dragons of the cave were feeling a particular way.]

[Just a matter of posing enough of a threat--]

I'm not scared of it. I feel in control. It almost feels... right.

I don't think the chances of winning outweigh your comfort and safety. I couldn't live with myself if something went wrong and you got hurt--
