Notes: This fic does a great job of setting the tone and building suspense. The author's distinct writing style really pulls you into the story and into Chuuya's headspace following the nightmare. They pay attention to all the senses, specifically touch and sound. They also do a good job of consistancy with small details, like a broken glass or spilled water, that come up repeatedly. The whole concept of Chuuya slipping out of control was handled really well, and I enjoyed how his fear of corruption was mirrored in his fear of the darkness. The dynamic between Dazai and Chuuya was perfect, with tender moments laced with uneasiness. This really was an excellent fic, thank you to the-shadow-lover for recommending this story to the library!
