Honestly I haven't decided that yet, I didn't plan for any of the original characters to be featured beyond mentions because I didn't want to upset anyone by portraying them how I see them. I wouldn't want to make someone unhappy because "This character wouldn't act like this" but then I guess after the dumpster fire that was the epilogues that doesn't matter much. I am taking canon material from the first original comic into heavy consideration though, along with toying with my headcanons. In the end this is a fan-comic and a creative work made by me so everything you'll see is the things I want you to see.

can you tell us a little about some of the characters?

I'm still naming some of them and my husband is still making the concept art, but I can say the main characters we have so far are supposed to be the "Children" of the main 12 trolls! Hence the name being Avturus! (After us, you know?) The characters are all drawing inspiration from the Greek mythology linked to the constellations that make up the big 12 Zodiac signs, and of course from their "Parents"! A lot of careful planning was placed in family trees, quadrants, parent genetics, and so on. You might even pick out who parented what troll if you have a keen eye for details, when the concept art is shown off!

so what inspired you to do this project?

The simplest answer is really my friends and husband, without them I wouldn't have the passion to do something like this! For more in depth rambling though have a look below!

So me and my friends were re-reading the main comic together recently and it really re-sparked my love of Homestuck like crazy! I hadn't been a fan when the comic originally released, and my ex made a bad impression on it for me originally, but I fell in love with Homestuck after it brought me and my husband together! The fandom is how we met! I have a passion for art and writing, and this project was spur of the moment at first but then I started to really research and design the graphics and I knew I had to go through with it. I can thank my friends for helping me when I hit a roadblock in my research, and my husband agreeing to be my lead artist makes this so much more fun. Hell, Homestuck is how I even realized I was trans! Homestuck gave me a life that I can be happy with, and people I love. This is a project of Love and appreciation for the series that changed my life and changed me.

Hello Friends!

Welcome to The Avturus Project, our blog is barren at the moment but will be populated in the future! We are currently in a character design Phase, and our start is far away, but we are excited to share this journey with you regardless!

Who are we?

This project is Lead by me, @dualaspect as the Project Leader! I came up with the original concept for this project and have been doing most of the research and design work.

I am assisted by my Husband @obsidianxblackxbird Who is my Artist and will be assisting me with my character designs and all comic panels we will be releasing once we start!

What is The Avturus Project?

The Avturus Project is a Next Gen Homestuck fan-comic based solely on the original comic and its ending, ignoring other content like the games, Epilogues, and Homestuck 2. This project will feature an original caste of trolls based on the original 12 trolls from mainline Homestuck, and possibly some humans in the future.
