Wanted to work on my headcanon design for Moonpaw herself, using my one shitpost doodle as reference for her markings!
(Design notes/Rewrite Ideas under keep reading) Brief TW for mention of incest (regarding her canon parents)
Design notes:
I'm aware that the red eye on the latest cover is 100% an error, but I'm obsessed with it so I want to keep it.
The orange tabby parts are meant to be long haired while the black cat parts are meant to be short haired, if I go back to her I might find a way to make it more clear.
The ear tufts are meant to be very "one half being vaguely sun themed" with it looking like its on fire, while the other being a crescent shaped
Rewrite/AU Notes:
If the books were written to my liking, for starters her parents got to go. Them being first cousins is Not Good, while in general I'd go with using @bonefalll 's family tree corrections (so they aren't related in the first place), I just don't vibe with it
In my heart, I'd want her to actually be taken in as she was found at the Moonpool. Lean into the idea of her having a connection to it, which is why she's so goddamn Weird
Speaking of which, instead of being yet another "UGH I want to be a Normal Warrior who Fits the Status Quo" protagonist I need her to be a #WeirdGirl who's actually kind of full of herself
She LOVES the fact she has a secret ghost sibling, she LOVES her connection to the Moonpool. She is StarClan's special little soldier and she will make sure everyone knows that.
...Ngl, kind of Changeling from Pathologic coded. Which is funny to me considering my brain associates Jayfeather with Daniil.
She can have weird powers, as a treat. Especially due to her connection with Voicepaw
Lean into how some cats think she may be evil, on how she could actually be a threat to the Clans.
Kicks rocks, one of these days I'll take these notes and maybe just make an OC based off of this because god obsessed with this version of her in my brain.
