#VolcomeNextSpot - Penn Valley Skatepark KC

I’ll be honest, this was the first skate demo I’ve been to. 

For me skateboarding has always been something I wanted to be good at, but never put in the time to really perfect. After high school and beginning of college I didn’t pick up my skateboard much - rather opting for a longboard for commuting and learning to bomb hills. Recently I’ve gone back to skateboarding and catching up on the times. Wish I had never thrown any of my old skate posters and mags away...

Anyways, going to this demo served as a reintroduction to a scene I’ve always had an interest in.

The Volcom team at the demo consisted of Omar Hassan, Milton Martinez, Chris Pfanner, and Collin Provost. Format was like a free-for-all with the pros ripping it up alongside local skaters. Thanks to Escapist Skateboarding for organizing!
