hi it's zongzi anon again (favorite food zongzi submitter who also recently remembered Vanitas and Harry Hook etc.) and i would absolutely love a follow-up bracket if you ever felt inclined to do so

also if the character you thought of last minute happened to be Amethyst i just wanted to let you know that that's GENIUS and it made me remember pearl also. because ohhhh my god that one episode where they were fighting over who got to fuse with garnet was. very BPD on BPD violence.

and i ALSO remembered Candace Flynn from Phineas and Ferb as well so. yeah it turns out that Most of my blorbos are guys that i would headcanon as having BPD which is not at all something I realized until I started submitting them, so thanks again for hosting this!!

(if you do end up deciding to make a follow up bracket I will gladly start working on propaganda for these guys too!!)

Oh hell yeah. I would love To do one if people really want one so I'll save this under #backupbracket and if anyone else agrees keep letting me know youd want more. if around the same amount of characters are wanting to be submitted I don't see why not

Also thank you. I totally meant to have her in anyway, because holy shit shes one of my faves and I can't believe I forgot when she's one of the characters I made the poll for. Amethyst, Pearl, and Lapis specifically are all ones I hcd the longest, with ruby and spinel making their own additions to the list by the end of the show and movie.

Amethyst reminds me a fuckton of how my symptoms presented in highschool and her arc made me feel one of the most seen in term of how I learned to navigate and work on those symptoms to make them more manageable.

And her relationship to Pearl reminds me in many ways of my relationship to my older sister. I also felt envious of how collected she was, until like amethyst, I realized how much of her "stuck up" nature was actually a defense against the traumas our parents left.

While I think of Amethyst and Pearl as less siblings and more roomates (sometimes to lovers) their general dynamic helped me rebuild my relationship by helping me work on my lashing out due to jealousy, so I'm always grateful to the show and these characters for that.

Anyway that's enough bpd lore about me haha, but tl:dr: Amethyst changed my life as a character who shared so many symptoms but with a satisfying arc, and I love her for it.
