Best Ways to Make Balloon Car

To make balloon car, you'll need a few materials and follow these simple steps:

Materials:

A large, round balloon

A plastic straw

Four plastic bottle caps

A lightweight, small cardboard box

Tape

Scissors

Markers (optional for decoration)

Steps:

Decorate the cardboard box as desired. This will be the body of your balloon car.

Attach the four plastic bottle caps to the bottom of the box, one at each corner, using tape. These will serve as the wheels.

Cut the plastic straw in half and tape one piece to the back of the box, vertically. Ensure it's pointing away from the box.

Inflate the balloon but don't tie it. Stretch the open end of the balloon over the untaped end of the straw.

Place your balloon car on a smooth, flat surface and let go of the balloon. The air escaping from the balloon will propel the car forward.

Experiment with the size of the balloon and the weight of the car to optimize its speed and distance.

How to Make a Balloon Car 

Simply follow these instructions to make a balloon Car activity. A cardboard foundation, a plastic straw, four plastic bottle tops, tape, a balloon, and a wooden skewer should be gathered first. Use tape to secure the bottle tops to the corners of the base to serve as wheels. By inserting the skewer through the straws to create axles, the straws may then be fastened to the base to allow the skewer to freely rotate. Make sure the balloon is securely fastened to the straw's tip. Place the car on a level surface now, inflate the balloon, tighten the end, and let it go. It's time to investigate the fascinating science behind the well-known experiment of lying down on a bed of nails! You've probably seen your favorite circus acts or magicians perform the classic Bed of Nails trick, but what's the secret? You can see the science behind this trick by using a smaller version of the bed and a clear balloon.

This Bed of nails balloon experiment for kids activity turns the curiosity about how a person can sleep on a Bed of Nails into a fun learning STEAM activity.

How does the experiment with the bed of nails work? Let's Investigate the Interesting Science Behind the "Bed of Nails" Experiment

Step 1 Drill 98 holes in one of the wooden boards for the nails to be pushed through later.

Step 2 Drill two larger holes close to the edges on opposite sides of the wooden board and glue the wooden dowels in the holes.

Step 3 Drill two holes on the other wooden board that correspond to the positions of the dowels attached to the first board, allowing the board to slide along the dowels.

Step 4 Insert the nails into the 98 holes in the bottom board, making sure they are all level.

Step 5 Press the top wooden board with a balloon placed between the bed of nails and the upper wooden board.

Step 6 Shows that a great deal of force is required to pop the balloon.
