one thing i rly miss abt pre-streaming services shows is that for the majority of them, they were meant to be played in the background or as you were relaxing at the end of the day and didn't require like, full concentration. not that theres anything wrong with that, but like - i miss how, because a lot of the tv shows from the 90s and early 2000's were episodic, and because seasons were usually 24-28 eps long, you literally could have x files running on in the background as you were cooking or eating and you always knew what was going on. idk if that makes sense
