Beeper, you know her she is my baby. High on the pecking order but under the leghorns and roosters, she thinks I exist to serve her every whim (i do)
She was a dying chick at a farm storm that I rescued. She was basically super dehydrated and dying due to being constipated due to eating the coffee ground bedding she was on. All of her first poops in my care stunk like coffee 🫠 it was gross but she lived and has been my Beeper ever since.
She also has Beeperlore for fun 😁 don't worry about it 😁 you love Beeper.

Fandom: Wayne’.s Worl.d
Pairing: Cassandr.a Won.g x Azure
Rating: T (16+)
Warning(s): Brief mentions of alcohol/drinking and smoking cigarettes
A/N: Takes place during the events of the second movie 😊
Azure walked slowly and deliberately down the sidewalk, heading back to her place from the nearest convenience store.
She had gotten herself a popsicle, trying to cool down in the summer heat.
She started to eat as she got closer, pondering slightly.
She had recently been having some confusing feelings regarding one of her friend’s boyfriends. And she thought she was over all that.
It also didn’t help that she had feelings for the friend in question as well. And those were definitely not as confusing, or new.
The popsicle began dripping down her hand as the sun’s rays beat down on her. She cursed that she had forgotten to carry a travel pack of tissues in her bag.
She lifted her arm to be in a horizontal position as not to get cherry flavored juice all over her clothes and boots. She cautiously took bites of what was left as her house came into view.
She trudged up the steps of her tiny bungalow. A small breeze passed, jostling the wind chimes that hung near the deep pink awning.
She unlocked the deadbolt and knob, pushing on the notoriously sticky front door.
“I’m back!” She shouted to her roommate/best friend/bandmate, Coral. She looked around, wondering where she’d gone off to. They had previously been bored, watching reruns of ‘The Facts of Life’.
“Coral?” she called out and began walking down the hallway. She suddenly heard muffled voices coming from behind Coral’s door.
She gingerly knocked, figuring she had another friend over or was taking a phone call. She heard a pause in the conversation and her friend giggle.
“Just a minute!” Coral replied. Azure peered at her nails briefly, making a mental note to touch up the polish on them soon. She then looked down at her scuffed platform boots. Those wouldn’t be as easy (or cheap) to repair.
The door moved open slowly as Coral peered out of the crack. Azure realized very quickly she had interrupted something intimate, since Coral was only covered by a moderately thick, pink bed liner that was wrapped around her.
“Oh...” Azure felt her face flush mildly and looked back down at her shoes.
“Sorry!” Coral giggled again, turning her head to look at whatever guy she currently was into and had over. “I should’ve sent an alert to your beeper. Ronald here showed up randomly.”
“No worries.” Azure said quickly and quietly. She fumbled with her rat tail.
“Okay awesome!” Coral smiled widely, gripping the liner to her full chest. Azure felt a hand on her shoulder and looked back up.
“Do you think you could give me and Ronald some...alone time?” She laughed slightly nervously and placed one of her many braids behind her ear. She looked earnestly at Azure and then placed her hands in a pleading position.
Azure tried her best to resume eye contact with her basically nude best friend and failed, choosing to look at the popcorn ceiling instead.
“No problem,” she fibbed slightly “-there’s some library books I’ve got to return anyway. I’ll get out of your hair.” She smiled and shot Coral a peace sign.
“Oh, and one more thing.” Coral gave Azure’s shoulder a playful squeeze. “You have a message on the machine. You might wanna check it out.” Coral let go and gave one last grin before closing her door.
Azure sighed and wondered who could’ve called. She hoped it was someone she liked, and not like, a bill collector.
She walked to the kitchenette, to the counter where the phone sat. She hit the play button and settled into one of the chairs.
The machine beeped and she heard a familiar voice.
“Azure...” she heard a sob “-me and Wayne broke up.”
Azure’s stomach turned as a repeat of what occurred over a year ago began to replay in her head.
“For real this time, he called it off.” Cassandra’s voice sounded fuzzy and far off as Azure tried to listen.
“You were right about him. All along. He’s a jerk.”
Azure’s stomach got tighter as she regretted the popsicle from earlier. She hadn’t been completely honest with Cassandra, in regard to how she truly felt about Wayne. Or the night they almost kissed.
Cassandra sniffled and then said “Can you come over? I could really use a friend.” The message ended and the machine beeped once more.
She looked at it and felt her stomach grumble with anxiety. She wasn’t entirely sure what to do.
She hated that Cassandra was in this type of pain, again.
She hated that Wayne, someone she thought was mildly dependable, had seemingly turned out like every other flaky, insecure asshole.
She hated the secret she’d been holding onto and also how she’d been stifling her feelings for the both of them, thinking somehow it would work out for all of them better that way.
She took a deep breath and grabbed her fuzzy black bag. She decided the least she could do was comfort Cassandra in any way she could during this time.
As Azure walked up the steps to Cassandra’s loft, she tried her best to ‘tidy up’ her appearance. Everything was seemingly in order.
She got to her door a heaved a deep sigh. She smoothed out her knee length plaid skirt and made sure there weren’t any unintentional holes in her fishnets one last time.
She slowly raised her left arm and knocked on the door.
The several locks ‘clicked’ and a familiar scent of perfume and coffee came wafting out as the door opened.
“Azure...” Cassandra cooed slightly, her eyes appearing somewhat glassy. She reached out her hand and gently grabbed onto Azure’s wrist.
Azure was a bit taken aback by her touch. She used her free hand to grip onto the strap of her purse.
“Cassandra!” She tried to be playful and cheery. Cassandra chuckled and continued to hold her wrist.
“Come in, come in.” she led Azure to her dining table. She let go of her wrist and walked back into her kitchen.
“Ah…” Azure felt herself try to gain composure, blushing from the phantom feeling of Cassandra’s touch on her.
“Wine?” Cassandra walked over, cutting her off slightly and carrying two size-able glasses. Azure looked up at her and paused.
Suddenly the friendly touchiness and glassy eyes made sense. She’d been drinking.
Azure couldn’t judge, hell, she’d probably be deep in a bottle of wine if her longtime partner broke up with her.
“Sure. Why not?” Azure tried to play it cool. Cassandra laughed heartily. Azure felt herself blush even more.
“I hope you like red.” Cassandra placed one of the glasses in front of her. Azure looked into the glass and began messing with the stem.
“Usually I’m a moscato girl, but for you I’ll bear through it.” Azure chuckled slightly. Cassandra laughed again and began to pour into Azure’s glass.
Azure took a sip and scrunched her nose. Most reds just tasted like vinegar to her. But she was so happy to be with Cassandra that she didn’t mind.
A few glasses later, and they had run out of casual topics to talk about.
Suddenly, after a small moment of silence, Cassandra began sobbing into her hands.
Azure felt a bit woozy but tried her best to remain calm and neutral as not to upset her more.
“Cassie…” she felt her own arm move, placing her hand on Cassandra’s bare shoulder. Her deep brown eyes looked into Azure’s and she cried even more.
Cassandra leaned into Azure’s shoulder, wrapping her arms around the woman in a slight hug as she continued to sob.
Azure normally would’ve felt a tad awkward at the sudden intimacy, but she was currently too drunk to care about the fact Cassandra was crying into her.
“Cassandra, I’m so sorry this happened.” She placed a hand on the back of Cassandra’s head and began slowly moving her thumb to stroke her long black hair.
“You deserve the world. You’re so kind and warm. Talented to say the least.” Azure felt the words spill out of her mouth “Wayne’s just…maybe going through some stuff right now. Some stuff he needs to work on internally.” She continued to stroke “And if that makes Wayne uncomfortable, well, screw him.”
Suddenly Cassandra paused in her whimpers. Azure felt her pull back. Her arms remained around Azure’s shoulders.
“Azure…” Cassandra spoke low, almost whispering. “Do you remember that letter you sent me a while ago?” Her arms got slightly more snug around Azure.
“Uh…” Azure stammered slightly. She felt one of Cassandra’s hands begin playing with her rat tail. “Yeah, sure.” her face felt hot as she occasionally felt Cassandra’s long nails graze her skin.
She was also blushing because she remembered what she could about her letter. It wasn’t totally incriminating but it was moderately personal and heartfelt.
“Did you really mean all that?” Cassandra asked, her head now only a few inches from Azure’s.
Azure gulped slightly, trying to ignore how good the other woman smelled. “Of course.” she felt herself say.
Cassandra slowly nodded and smiled. Azure smiled back. Suddenly, Cassandra moved her left hand to the side of Azure’s face. Her other hand brought Azure’s braided rat tail to the front.
“Cassie…” Azure sighed. She felt her body warm against Cassandra’s touch. Cassandra leaned over and slowly, gently kissed against Azure’s neck.
Azure raised her eyebrows and felt her eyes widen, as Cassandra started to kiss her slowly, now giving a small peck behind her ear.
“Mm…” she moaned slightly. She felt Cassandra’s full lips smile against her skin. Cassandra leaned back and looked deep into Azure’s green eyes.
“Are you sure you wanna do this, Cassie?” Azure whispered and began to nibble on her bottom lip.
Cassandra simply nodded and grinned. She leaned forward and gently kissed Azure’s lips. Azure felt her body melt into Cassandra’s, her hands gently grabbing onto her hips. She moved her mouth slowly against Cassandra’s.
Cassandra pulled back and quietly laughed. She lightly grabbed Azure’s hand, standing up and leading the other woman to her huge bed.
Azure followed in a slight daze, her heart beating as she tried her best to not stumble in her big boots.
Cassandra climbed onto the bed, resting her knees in a semi-crossed position near the edge. She smiled at Azure and parted her hair to one side. Azure reached out her right hand, slowly caressing Cassandra’s jawline. Cassandra leaned forward and kissed Azure slowly and deeply.
When they parted, Cassandra chuckled and asked “Would you mind taking your boots off before we continue?”
Azure stood like a deer in headlights, still processing the fact she was actually kissing Cassandra.
“Ah…of course.” She stuttered and sat down on the bed. She moved her slightly trembling hands to her laces, trying to untie the double knot she’d made earlier. Her hands couldn’t quite get into the right position to do so, and she felt herself getting dizzy and sweaty as she tried to focus on the task at hand.
“Are you alright?” Cassandra whispered close to her ear. She jumped slightly, breaking out of her slight focus.
“Y-yeah.” She looked down at the hardwood floor. “I’m just honestly really shocked this is happening. I didn’t think you…thought of me that way.” She covered her eyes with her hands, not wanting to see Cassandra’s initial reaction.
She heard her giggle and felt her grab onto her slightly clasped hands. As her vision adjusted back under the natural light, Azure felt the weight next to her shift.
Cassandra was now at her feet, untying her laces with grace and ease. Even with her long nails, she got the laces untied.
“There you go.” Cassandra looked up and gave a small smirk. Her hand was now on Azure’s calf, slowly but surely moving up to her thigh.
“Um, thanks.” Azure squeaked slightly. She leaned over to pull her boots off, trying to plan her next move and/or reaction.
As the boots hit the floor, she followed Cassandra to the center of the bed. Cassandra leaned forward and whispered into her ear “Lay down.”, lips slightly caressing against it.
Azure nodded and slowly got onto her elbows at first, looking up at Cassandra. Cassandra leaned over and pecked against Azure’s jawline. Azure felt herself relax more and melt into the bed.
Their legs entangled, Cassandra moving to kiss Azure’s shoulder. She slowly moved her kisses to behind Azure’s ear. Azure slightly whimpered and slowly grazed her hands up and down Cassandra’s sides. She heard Cassandra laugh and opened her eyes.
“Sorry if I’m a little rusty, I just haven’t, uh…been with someone in a hot minute.” Azure absentmindedly wiped at her mouth, smudging her lipstick mildly.
Cassandra smiled and gently played with Azure’s blue rat tail again. “No problem, I was simply laughing because of how cute you are.” She smiled even wider, biting her lip playfully.
Azure felt a flush against her cheeks and leaned toward to kiss Cassandra. The other woman switched places with her as they continued kissing.
She felt Cassandra playfully poking her fingers through the gaps in her tights. She laughed against their mouths and sighed. She carefully took off her own lacy black tank top and threw it to the side.
Cassandra looked at her and grinned, her brown eyes glimmering in the low afternoon sunlight. Azure felt her whole body flush now.
She leaned forward to slowly plant a kiss on Cassandra’s neck. As she did she intertwined their fingers together.
Cassandra began to unhook her standard black bra, the straps slowly falling off Azure's shoulders.
As she felt the other woman trace circles on the small of her back, she suddenly couldn’t help but think of Wayne.
How all this had basically happened because of a decision he’d made.
How kind he had been to Azure that night she’d accidentally gotten too drunk at Gasworx.
How after everything she’d done and said to him prior, he still made sure she got back home safe and sound.
How much all of that made her realize what a genuinely kind guy he was.
How badly she wanted to kiss him that aforementioned night.
And now she was about to hook up with his ex-girlfriend.
Azure pulled herself away and felt her arms cross against her bare chest. Cassandra opened her eyes and furrowed her eyebrows into a concerned expression.
Azure covered her eyes again and began to speak.
“I think maybe we’re both just really lonely and tipsy and I would hate to ruin whatever bit of friendship we have left right now.” She said very quickly. She heard Cassandra clear her throat.
“No worries.” She felt Cassandra rest her hand on her hip. “I understand.” She pulled away and began fixing her hair.
Azure pulled back on her bra and top in an awkward silence. Cassandra was currently at her vanity brushing her hair, staring at herself in the huge oval mirror.
Azure shivered slightly, not knowing what to say or do. She was still really buzzed and now even more confused.
She wasn’t totally positive Cassandra had ever done this with another woman before. She feared she was some sort of experimental fling to make Wayne jealous.
Her head spun while she adjusted her clothes back into place. Cassandra turned and looked at her.
Azure paused and held her breath. “Let’s not tell anyone about this.” She said smoothly. “At least not right now.” she gave a small smile.
Azure simply nodded and walked to the dining table to grab her purse. She gazed at the refrigerator, her hazy vision slightly focusing on a picture of Wayne and Cassandra, embracing and smiling widely at the camera.
She turned her head slightly and began to speak.
“Especially Wayne.” She looked down at her boots, knowing it was a sore topic. But she had to cover some bases.
“Yes.” She heard Cassandra respond quietly. Azure gripped onto the strap of her bag, so tightly her nails poked into the palm of her hand.
Well…” Azure started. She looked back up and saw Cassandra’s back still turned to her. She briefly looked into the mirror and saw Cassandra’s slightly distressed looking reflection.
“I’ll see you around Cassi-…Cassandra.” Azure’s throat felt dry and tight. She felt her feet start toward the door, trying again not to trip over herself as the wine slowly wore off.
She pulled open the door and heard Cassandra quietly say “Bye, Azure.” before stepping out and shutting it.
On the bus ride home, Azure felt like she’d hurl. The constant bumps and unusual smells threatened to make what little food she’d eaten that day come back up.
She finally got to the stop near her place. She exited the bus and began to walk home.
When she arrived, she knocked on the door to make sure she wasn’t interrupting again.
She heard the lock click and saw Coral as the door opened. She had a devilish grin and slight glow to her.
“Have fun?” Azure playfully asked as she tried to force a smile.
Coral giggled and locked the door behind her. “Yeah…” she said breathily, appearing to be deep in thought.
“That’s good.” Azure forced her smile wider. She placed her bag on their already crowded kitchen table.
“What have you been up to?” She heard Coral say behind her. She felt her shoulders stiffen and began to drum her fingers near the pile of envelopes. She quickly realized she hadn’t conceived of a believable lie on her way back.
“Just hanging out with Cassandra.” She mumbled. She brought her thumbnail up to her mouth and began to nibble.
“Oh, cool.” Coral responded simply. Azure felt her body relax slightly more. “Did you guys have fun?”
Azure flushed slightly, praying it didn’t show up in the currently dim lighting. “Yea...we just uh, listened to music and talked a bit.” She tried to sound convincing.
Coral yawned and wiped away a single tear. Azure hoped she didn’t have any further questions about her previous hangout.
“I’m heading to bed soon.” Coral walked over to the refrigerator and opened it, perusing the contents briefly. Azure turned to her and nodded. “Night.” She said quietly, trying to keep her voice steady as moments from the last three hours played through her mind.
“Good night.” Coral closed the door and smiled briefly. She waved and walked down the hall to her room.
As she heard the door shut, Azure looked around for a loose cigarette. She saw half of one in the ashtray on the table. She gently grabbed it and reached into her bag for her lighter.
She drew in her breath to start the light, exhaling a cloud of smoke as she went to sit on their loveseat.
Azure laid down, carefully maneuvering her arms to hold the still lit cigarette. She inhaled again and shut her eyes.
As she breathed in and out, trying to steady her racing thoughts, she could only think of the brief intimate moments she’d had with Cassandra and Wayne.
How cute Wayne’s laugh was when he was genuinely tickled by something. How beautiful Cassandra looked up under stage lights. The way Wayne seemingly looked out for the ‘little guy’. The friendship that had previously seemed so effortless with Cassandra.
She felt her lips tremble and her eyes begin to dribble tears. She was so confused and dreaded having to feel the next day.

Do you believe kai is redeemable?
hi anon!
the short answer, in case it's all you'd like is: yes, 100%.
i either agree with or understand all of his choices, even the ones that suck. so in a lot of ways, to me, he never needed redemption.
the long answer, if you'd like to know why:
first i think i have to explain my general thoughts on kai as a whole, because some of my personal headcannons differ from others in the fandom.
i've never, not from the moment he showed up a feral little gremlin munching pork rinds in the prison world, considered him to be evil.
Kai lies/disregards things and masks 90% of the time, and yet he's always super open about what was done to him growing up. "they called me ____", "i remember them doing ____", etc. it would be super easy to paint his childhood any way he liked, and yet he doesn't. he knows what happened to him was wrong, and he's going to remind you every chance he gets.
i think he developed sociopathy as a coping mechanism after years of abuse and isolation. i headcannon that they were a homeschool family, which just furthers his lack of social interaction. if he was allowed/forced to help at all, it was doing the manual labor chores while Jo was the one handling anything that involved physical touch.
as an older sibling myself, him being the oldest boy specifically and the complexities around his feelings of wanting to protect them/being jealous/getting robbed of his birthright haunt me.
if you want to get into my true roman empire (those freaking christmas sweater photos) then i don't think he outright hated any of them growing up. sure, they were annoying and loud and sometimes sticky, but they were still his siblings. those feelings of resentment obviously grew stronger the sicker he became, but like, he never hurt anyone until he realized he was being lied to.
so i view the initial murders as a mental break, and i doubt he was in full control of himself at the time. if it was planned out, why didn't he drain someone's magic? killing them the human way is yes, a lot more personal, but it just doesn't make sense to me given his drive for magic based power. you'd think he'd want to go into the merge charged up, you know?
speaking of the og merge: did they expect him to just ... not ask about it and be cool with getting told no? like the fact that no one foresaw him lashing out so violently only proves to me that he wasn't *that* scary growing up. joshua probably had the ascendent prepped and ready to go, and he was just waiting for an outburst bad enough to use it. shame it took that, my guy. i feel we could have handled this whole thing a bit better.
i think kai was probably obsessively dedicated to his magical training leading up to 1994. i take "been practicing my whole life" very seriously, lol. he wanted to prove that he could do it, and prove the coven wrong for doubting him. i imagine him hoarding objects to drain and being super freaking annoyed that even Jo stops letting him borrow what he needs to just do basic work. we find out later that Valerie wore a necklace she could siphon from when she needed magic, and you're telling me no one thought of that in modern day?? enchant the beeper, for gods sake.
despite all that, he ended up being the strongest witch in TVD next to bonnie, and that was with him being mostly self taught. he's stupid good at voiceless magic, which i've always taken to mean he's a very instinctual wielder. he doesn't need the verbal spells, he's strong enough to just will the magic into listening.
"i had a soft spot for one of my sisters" and the repeated use of "sissy" for jo, make me wish we knew more about them as kids and how she let herself be turned against him. they have so much in common and such an obvious twin connection that lasts until the very last moment when he stabs himself and chooses to bleed out right beside her on the floor of the ruined church. Jo (and Bonnie) are the only people that seems to be able to get through to pre-merge kai. then post-merge kai is laser focused on making things up to them. i wish we saw more of him realizing he suddenly had a full range of emotion and what that did to him.
that sweet spot of post merge/pre 1903 prison world is the closest we come to kai's actual personality (imo). he's so shockingly, desperately earnest, while still being darkly funny and a little too aggressive. it's my favorite version of him.
those scenes show us the side of him that so obviously wants to be needed, even if it means hurting himself to be helpful. yes, luke is the reason why the emotions manifest, but luke is also not down for self sacrificing (ironic as hell, given his choice to merge). luke routinely tells the mfg to get fucked, so to say that he's the one making kai risk his life/the coven to help bonnie is just untrue. i think kai is trying to earn a spot in the group, and if they'd given him one, he would have been insanely useful.
like i said i think he masks 90% of the time, and the confidence that he shows is often hiding a huge insecurity over feeling like he's not good/strong/smart enough. there is always going to be a part of him that is still that scared little broken witch locked alone in his room, begging to be let out. i don't know how to view him as "hot bad boy who f*cks" because that's just not how i've ever seen him. don't get me wrong, i love those fics as much as anyone, but it's just not true Kai to me.
look i know some of you are like, hey op go back to when you said you agree with his choices, so here we go:
we know that the parker kids grew up being taught "coven over family", but what does that even look like inside the house? do they love each other but feel conflicted about it? is there constant fighting over who is closest to their parents? is it just anarchy? no matter what you think, it's clear they're all deeply traumatized.
kai has every right to be angry over the og merge, and lashing out makes complete sense. say it with me: murder is not okay BUT what better way to show joshua he's not messing around? if he's used to acting out for attention, what happens if he breaks something that can't be put back together this time? if they've been raised to think that family doesn't matter, why would any of them even care?
it's horrible, flawed logic, but it's there.
look me in the eyes and explain to me why it's okay when Daddy tries to kill you, but when it's your brother suddenly it's this big unforgivable crime, Jo. i'll wait.
Liv makes some of the most realistic decisions in the show to me, including the fact that she sides with Kai. unlike luke, she points out how they have every right to be mad at Jo. after sending Kai away, she abandoned them to an abusive father, (not to mention moved across the country with a new name to make it harder to ever find her!!) leaving them stuck fulfilling a merge that wasn't theirs to begin with. good for you for trying to get your brother on the throne livvie-poo 👏🏼 let him make the hard choices so you can run off with tyler and live in the woods 👏🏼
the parker's also make a lot of comments about how if kai is let out, he'll go full homicidal maniac and kill everyone just for fun. and yet, every murder we see him commit is a means to an end. again, in case you missed it the first time: murder is not okay BUT they act like he's some random spree killer when he's just ?? not ??
every murder/crime he commits has a clear reason, even if a lot of them are small/petty.
the taxi driver: he couldn't pay the fee
the random college kids: he needed to get into the hospital to see Jo
the grill manager: he was hungry, the guy was in his way, and elena was unconscious over his shoulder, lol
the coven murders/stabbing Jo: he needs to hold onto power, and they've given up on him yet again. at this point, let's just burn the whole thing and start over !!
there are so many characters in TVD that actually kill without reason, feeling, or second thought. (including enzo, bon-bon, so jot that down). while i'm not diminishing how violent kai can be, i certainly don't lump him in with characters like klaus or damon.
this is a slightly unpopular opinion especially amongst people that don't ship Bonkai, but i view everything done in the prison world as mutual retaliation. bonnie and kai are fighting. i'm not excusing his behavior anymore than i'm excusing hers, but she quite literally killed him not once but twice.
once they're both out she feels endless hatred towards him as a coping mechanism to give herself something to focus on so she doesn't break, and i wish !! so badly that it was used as a way to bond them. like who better to help her navigate violent magical outbursts then mr "killed half my family in a fit of jealous rage" himself?
we could have seen them grow together, navigating standing up for themselves in healthy ways and encouraging each others strengths, but no.
ill die on the hill that if bonnie knew what kai did on her birthday we wouldn't even be having this conversation, anon. I don't think he expected anyone to actually 100% forgive him, because at the end of the day he also knows he's made some huge mistakes/poor choices. but if specifically Jo or Bonnie had said something like "i see that you are trying" i think it would have been enough for him to stay on that path.
i don't think kai likes being the bad guy, its just another means to an end. if he can't get what he wants (or what he feels he deserves) by asking, he'll take it. and yes, showing off and being scary does give him some sort of thrill - but it's also the only way he can get them to look at him.
listen you don't even understand the things i would give to see him realize the heretics were once siphons. to realize they were geminis and that it's basically a coven gene !! to finally know he's not the only witch to be born like this !!
imagine getting to hear lily tell him there's nothing wrong with him ?? that she's sorry his parents kept the truth from him ?? that he didn't deserve the childhood he had but she's happy to help him now ?? i truly don't know if i could handle it.
kai is so completely desperate to be part of a group that it ends up blinding him and making him vulnerable to attack. i guess i just don't know how to see a character like that and not believe in them.
alright, as you can see, anon, im not great at short answers and i clearly think about him too much. it doesn't help that im currently working on a book series with an MC inspired by him 🙈 the brain rot is real and i fear it may never end. hope you enjoyed this ted talk tho!! thanks for being my first ask ✨

as a teacher, hearing about the way you communicate so clearly and thoroughly with your child is so inspiring. I wish more people had resources on how to communicate with kids like you do.
I'm very bad at taking compliments, so I'll just say "Thank you" and also qualify that she makes it pretty easy. She's very smart and has always, from day one basically, needed to know the reasons behind everything. In other circumstances, she would probably be called "stubborn" or "defiant." But the thing is, I remember my own "stubbornness" growing up, and it was almost always the result of me not understanding why things were the way they were. From a young age, I hated with a burning passion the "Because I said so" thing. So I determined that I didn't want to do that when/if I had kids of my own.
My daughter is very bright and curious and makes that easy for me. Her "why" phase was/is pretty specific, which is helpful in keeping ahead of the frustration-induced rage-meltdowns. (Not all of them, of course, because some concepts are really hard to grasp even as an adult, let alone when you're 4 years old and everything Feels Too Big.)
But I also made a conscious effort to start practicing early, before she could talk or push back on a lot of stuff. It felt so weird and silly at first, but I basically narrated everything I did with/around her, and put a reason for it. So a trip to the store sounded like this:
"We made it to the store to get our groceries, so we have yummy food to eat. Let's go inside and get a buggy--that's where we'll put all the things we get, because we can't carry them all in just our hands. I'm going to put you in the buggy, too, right here in this seat, that way you can see what's going on but I have both my hands to push the buggy and grab the things we need. Here, look, some bananas! Let's get some of those because you love to eat them. Oh, no, sorry baby, we can't eat them right now. This stuff isn't ours until we pay for it at the very end-- that's the part with the beep-beeper and the bags. When we get home we can have some of the bananas, because then they are our bananas." Etc, etc, on and on.
People looked at me like I was nuts. It felt a little nuts at times, especially before she could respond verbally. But it worked. It built a habit for me to give a reason for why I'm doing things, or making her do things. More importantly, I feel like, it made me stop and question when I didn't have a good reason for my answers or behaviors. Like if she comes up and asks to blow bubbles outside, and I go, "No baby, not right now," she can be like "why not?" And I have to look at myself and my reasoning. Is it because I'm actually busy or we're genuinely about to do something else that precludes the 5 minutes it'd take to do bubbles? Or is it because I just don't feel like it? It's not fair for "I don't feel like it" to supersede her desires for connection and entertainment all the time. (Sometimes you're just worn out and don't have the bandwidth for it, and that's valid. Parents are people too! But it can't be all the time, yk?) So if I don't have a good reason why not, I let her know that I thought about it more and changed my mind, and off we go to blow bubbles.
I also heard the advice, idk where or when, that you need to practice on your children what you want from them. So if I want my child to be kind, I have to be kind to her, in ways that she can see and appreciate. If I want her to know it's okay to change your mind, I have to point out when that happens for me, like in the above bubbles example. If I want her to be a decent human being who respects others, is empathetic, appreciates the efforts of others, speaks kindly, thinks about how her actions impact those around her, etc... You get the idea. It starts with me. And I try to consciously remind myself of that fact.
It's not always easy, because kids aren't always rational (but to be fair, neither are adults lol). And what is rational to a 4 year old is not always the same as what is rational to me, the adult with almost 3 decades of experience more than her. So sometimes it's like explaining to the wind why it ought to blow in a different direction. But the longer I get to know her, the more I'm able to pick up on the way she sees things, her personal defaults, the way she talks around concepts she's not sure about, etc. It's part of what's cool about getting to be her parent. I get such a close-up view of this little person becoming a little person, and it makes me stop and think about things I have taken for granted for a long time.
I'm rambling again, but I have developed a lot of Strong Feelings about the way kids are treated and looked at in general, and a lot of determination to do better for the kids I get the privilege of loving.

She's dating the gangster au with Gonzo:)
(WARNING: Bullying, cursing, violence, threat of suicide, fake dating, reader wears glasses, ooc! Gonzo, angst, and fluff.)
(Another reminder I'm not fluent in english as its not my first language)
Gangster!Eddie "Gonzo" Gilman x Nerdy! F! reader
I like this song so I recommend listwning to it
How you met:
You had met him when you had transfer to your bestfriends university and in your very first day you had embarrased yourself.
Hey he bumped into you! So why was that your fault? Yes he did bumped into you in the gate of the school while skating and you scraped your knee it knocked out even your glasses and the books in your hands. Instead of him apologizing he had went on in skating, you got pissed off and yelled at him for not saying sorry. Everyone around you stopped what they were doing even him.
Your bestfriend had grabbed your hand and ran inside to save you from more humiliation. You were now scared to be left alone as you could easily be bullied by him or something.
//After you met//
A person had been beeping you in your beeper non-stop and it was getting annoying for you, they kept apologizing for breaking up with you..?
Unfortunately God wasn't on your side that day and the person did not stop even in class, usually they'd stop when school started but this day no. Your teacher had sent you out your beeper interrupting what ever she had been teaching.
But still even out of the classroom it had still been beeping you were confused and scared from whom it was so you immediately waited for your bestfriend.
//Timeskip//
When your last period had ended for break time you finally contacted your bestfriend and told her everything. She'd been shocked and said it was Gonzo that was beeping you not some random guy.
But as she was saying that Gonzo was near you both and he was just standing in the call booth, hoping it wasn't your beeper that he had been sending messages to, unfortunately for you it was. As soon as he had picked up the phone your beeper beeped non-stop.
He had heard it and was now walking towards you so you basically were panicking in the insides now.
Quickly you had stood up and start to try and walk away as he was starting to follow up behind you. He still caught up tho, so you standing up had no purpose at all.
When he catched up he pinned you on a post wall, he held your arm and his hot breath fanning in your ear.
"Hey my ex girlfriend is watching just pretend we have something going on" as he still was pinning you and he covers your mouth for you to not complain.
You didn't really want this all to happen but it seems that it had to. You kept squirming in his hold but to no avail it never really worked
When his ex finally went away, he let go of you and tried to get you to fake date him
You still never agreed.
//Trying to pursue you into his scheme//
See you think he got the memo to leave you alone.
But he didn't and it was starting to turn into a problem for you.
Everywhere you went he tried to go with you or sometimes just following you around, even then his friends start to get in this little scheme of his.
They would torment you to just date him!
It was annoying and it got tiring for you.
Then one day in a rainy day everyone was just gathered in the very front of the university and when you finally caught a glimpse of what was happening.
It was gonzo with a sign hang around his neck and it had said that "It's either you answer me or I k*ll myself!"
You'd thought it was a stupid asshole move of his but it was his life that was on the line here.
So you felt the pressure to just answer him yes..
Then that's how you started fake dating for him to get his ex jealous.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Hello! I'm gonna have a second part for this but not right now since I have to write more fics! But I'm sure I will come out with it in a few days.. Also this is based on the filipino film "She's dating the gangster!😊

Yesterday, I told you about Ray's Christmas with his team. The Ray 1994 #20 continues with the same Christmas as he struggles with loneliness, inexplicably lost time, and the confusing doings of the people around him. Unbeknownst to him, his eight-year-old older brother Joshua is miles away in Colorado dealing with basically the same problems.
Story time!
Joshua broke out of the cryogenic chamber his father left him in and has been wandering on his own for probably months now, looking for his father. It's unclear if he realizes that it's now 1995 and not 1954 anymore, but he does know that it's Christmas and all he wants is his dad. So he uses his powers to create an elaborate army of Christmas-themed snow sculptures in an effort to get Santa's attention. Obviously, it's not working. And Joshua waits, all by himself in the snow, wrapped in the tattered costume that's the only clothing he seems to own, sure that this is all his fault for being bad.
An unfortunately believable way of thinking for someone raised by his impossible-to-please father, who, unbeknownst to Joshua, a) is the reason that he was frozen and forgotten for over forty years and b) is currently being held captive by Death Masque (the video game villain that Ray created that went sentient a while back) and couldn't come to get Joshua even if he wanted to.
Brent and Leslie, a hippie-ish couple, drive by in their van and notice Joshua, so Brent approaches him to investigate. Normally Joshua tends to panic and lash out around unfamiliar men, but--little 1950s boy that he is--he assumes from Brent's long hair that he's just an unusually hideous woman and not a threat. When asked, Joshua explains that he lives with his dad (no mention of his mom!) whom he has lost. Brent offers to help him find his dad, and Joshua agrees to go with him. (I'm guessing Stranger Danger was much less ingrained into 1950s children than it was when I was a child.) But the van isn't working. Without a word of explanation, Joshua uses his powers to lift it in the air and fly with it.
Meanwhile, in Philadelphia, Ray is celebrating Christmas in the luxurious condo he's been living in ever since he accepted a job from Vandal Savage in exchange for help in defeating Death Masque. He believes his father is dead, his mother doesn't know that he's really her son, and his cousin considers him a sell-out and will only speak to him through passive-aggressive answering machine messages.
So Ray's on his own, with a tree topped by the creepiest Christmas angel I've ever seen, a mound of presents he doesn't open, and a bottle of sparkling apple cider (remember, he's nineteen) from his boss. Vandal Savage is leaving him answering messages too, but Ray's greatest concern is how much time has passed since he went on a space mission with his old team. They left around Halloween, stayed for what seemed like about a week, but now it's Christmas.
Looking for some answers, he returns to his old apartment. He lingers sadly a moment over a picture of his childhood best friend, Jenny, who hasn't spoken to him since turning down his proposal back in May and whom he's still carrying a torch for. His answering machine goes off with a new message--a woman's voice, but he can't place whose. It's not Jenny, it can't be his mom. Whoever she is, she sounds perturbed at his apparently ignoring her. He's got forty-five unheard messages from people who are just as confused by his going missing as he is.
He's been gone so long that his landlord, coming up to drop off mail, is shocked to see him, but before Ray can try to explain his absence, the beeper in his Task Force uniform goes off. He starts to recall why he was gone recently--helping out the people whom he considers his family.
There's a flashback to a conversation he had with Vandal Savage before leaving. Ray had turned down a call for help from the Task Force and feels guilty for having been selfish. Savage gives him permission to take time off work to join them, pointing out that they're his family and they need him. (This is a man who was referring to the Task Force as Martian Manhunter's "children" even before MM started using that term himself.) (Savage is very very evil but he and Ray have a pretty complicated quasi-parent/child relationship at this point, it's a long story.)
Back in the present, Ray gets a voice message from someone he does recognize--a senator whom he met in 1941 during a time-travel adventure and whom he promised to meet again in Washington DC on Christmas Day 1995. It's time for him to keep that appointment.
But first, he has to respond to the Task Force's call for help. So he sets out and attends the party depicted in Justice League Task Force #37. (That issue wouldn't appear until a good six months or so after this one, so the original readers were left hanging for a long time about what happens mid-way through this story!)
While Ray is off accidentally selling his best friend's soul, Joshua is at lunch with Brent and Leslie as they try to track down his dad. They can't find a Happy Terrill, but there's a Nadine Terrill nearby. Joshua confirms that Nadine isn't his mom; his mom is dead. (Again, his mom seems to be a distant figure in his understanding, which conflicts with Happy's later claim that he froze Joshua the morning after Joshua accidentally killed his own mother.)
All that we're told about Ray's get-together with the Task Force is that it was a false alarm and he gets nervous about hearing the beeper because he worries that another of his friends might be dead. That's pretty tantalizing for the original readership, who still hadn't gotten the whole story of the space mission. (Ray is referring to the death of Mystek, which is a long story.)
He's having a crisis of loneliness (kind of like he just lost his best friend and can't remember!) and thinks that the mysterious woman from his answering machine messages is the one who can solve that.
He meets the senator, who hasn't apparently aged a day and is in fact the original Black Condor, one of Ray's father's old teammates. He's got a mission for Ray. Ray has no idea what this has to do with him, but he somehow gets roped into tracking down the current Black Condor, whom he knows from the JLA, and trying to convince him to take part in some kind of mission his predecessor has for him.
Meanwhile, Joshua gets to meet Nadine Terrill, Ray's mother, who is not impressed to find out that her ex-husband's son, whom she was told was born in the 1940s from a previous marriage, is apparently an eight-year-old (and therefore looks like the product of an affair from when she and Happy were still married). She can't give them any information about Joshua's dad's whereabouts but refers them to Ray instead.
Meanwhile, Ray is getting nowhere with Black Condor, who has no interest in heroics and prefers to be the local cryptid instead. He's a guy, he flies around, stuff happens--that's it. He knows that someone put Ray up to this. The two of them end up at a party thrown by a friend of Black Condor's, and there's a whole confrontation, and that's all part of another story continued elsewhere. Ray is anxious to get out of there, and he finally has an excuse when a chance reference to Miles Davis jogs his memory.
That girl. Her name is Jazz (surname unknown). He met her when his cousin dumped her at the chicken fast food place Ray used to work at. And he needs to see her now.
He's missed her Christmas party, and she's pretty annoyed that he's never called her back. He can't try to explain and just leaves it up to her how to respond to his appearing on her doorstep.
She proceeds to kiss him and drag him into the house. And that's where Ray ends his Christmas.
It's kind of painted as a win for him, but is it really? He's spent the day alone, desperate for connection. Everyone he could be close to is gone (dead or forgotten), unattainable, or nothing more than disembodied voices on his answering machine. The choices he has made this past year have left him unfulfilled and alienated. He wants to be loved. And if he can't have the real thing, he'll settle for a semblance of it. If Jenny won't have him, he's ready to rebound with a woman he met once whose name he can't remember. The exciting physicality of a hook-up brings a sense of connection, but he'll find it's ultimately shallow and that Jazz, like so many other people in his life, is just using him.
Joshua, similarly, is looking for connection in the wrong places also. He's so eager for reunion with the father who froze and abandoned him, too young to understand that he's been abused. The person who actually can help him is miles away and unaware of his existence.
It's Christmas, and what these brothers really need is each other.

Stone is at home, waiting for his daughter to get from school when he gets a phone call (beeper call?) and she's on the other side in hysterics. of course he's already up and asking her what's wrong (who does he need to kill) and she tells him that while she was geading home some person dragged her into an alley and were threatening to do bad things to her at knifepoint when troublemaker!reader showed up and cane to her rescue..... too fucking bad that reader can't really do much against a grown man and gets stabbed while trying to protect Saira. she already called the ambulance and whatever but she also called her dad because the ambulance will take time to get there and reader is bleeding and she doesn't know what to do (or does if Stone taught her anything on medicine) so anyway Stone gets to see that reader isn't really all that bad. afterall not every kid would throw themselves in front of a knife to save a friend
Saira and Stone have a specific set of numbers (because letters are hard to type on a beeper) that signal to Stone that Saira is in danger, so I imagine she messaged him those numbers and he immediately used the beeper's location to find her.
He finds her and injured Troublemaker!Reader in the alley, trying to remain calm as she tries to staunch the bleeding, but she's too frazzled to remember the basic first aid that he taught her. Good thing this man keeps a spare medical bag in the trunk of his Jeep.
He's quick to get it out of the trunk and hurrying over to you. Saira is stumbling over her words, telling him all about why they were in the alley, how you tried to protect her, and how the ambulance was already on their way.
The ambulance soon comes and takes you to the hospital, Stone and Saira heading to a nearby police station to file a report.
The next time you see Saira, Stone is less grumpy, thanking you for trying to protect his daughter. He says something along the lines of "Maybe you aren't so bad" but if you ask him to repeat it, he pretends he doesn't know what you're talking about.

I hope this ask isn't insensitive, but have you ever spoken on Beeper's upbringing? I only ask this out of curiosity regarding your post on Scoot.
Rest in peace, Scoot. I hope you're also doing okay, Dezi <3
Beeper was given to me by a farm store because she was dying from ingesting coffee ground bedding in 2022. It basically dehydrated her and caused severe constipation which led to a blockage. When I first saw her she was laying twisted on her back and getting trampled. Chicks are in critical condition when they do that. I brought her home and gave her some vegetable oil and egg yolk which helped her pass the blockage. She was raised by me after that.

can you tell us about the worldbuilding of your new au?
Why of course!
To start this off though, let me tell you a fun little thing about the Blog AU that is built in!
We made this AU with the idea that people who read it can put their characters into it. You know the Cafe AU that everyone is sticking their OCs in? You can do something similar! The fic is going to be canon to y'all but y'all won't be 100% canon to the fic so you guys can interact with the canon! So we genuinely encourage you guys to make outside content and make your OCs blogs or designs for this. Go crazy with it and join in! I will eventually need usernames and a few other things for the blog/forum skins. If you make anything, make sure to tag me on here (and if it's on Instagram, I'm Lixxendraws). I want you guys to be able to draw/write your characters in this AU because it'd be such a fun thing to do!
Anyways.
There are a few doodles of their official outfit designs but I don't like how they look. But I will post them eventually!
Here is the world building Under The Cut
Branch's Kismet identity is Bass while his in person one is Lapis for the sake of his safety and privacy.
Technology:
Napbug: digital audio sharing website whereP3 files are shared. Mostly for music rips and downloads
TOL: the internet hosting. Mostly known for the chatroom they speak on. You need to know the person's connection code to directly connect to them. You can chat on it and view forums/blogs directly from their TOL. You can have up to four identifications per computer
PHP (personal homepage): the blog domains they use. They can be reached outside of TOL, along with personal forums
Trollums: the nicknames for forums. You can find people's TOL & PHP on trollums and it is how people mostly find blogs
BeeperBugs (beepers): little hugs that act like pagers. They will send and receive messages somehow (they never figures it out). You will hear them beep and they can carry codes; you can put them onto landlines and they will put in the numbers. They also can use Morse code to send messages instead of needing calls.
Computers: dial up computers. They are simple and can connect to CD drives (not built in), VHS players, floppy disks, cassettes, and can burn CDs/DVDs. They're big and chunky; no laptops. Internet cafes and libraries are popular due to not as many people having them. People learn coding to break and customize them
Cassettes and MP3 players: they are popular and do not have earbuds. Only over ear headphones that are wired.
Very basic printer/fax machines that run off landlines
Televisions: tube/box TVs. Podbuster is a popular VHS and DVD rental/store. DVDs are barely used due to being new
Film cameras are very much still used and popular. People will develop themselves or take them to the library to be digitalized. There's services to develop photos still
Zines exist! They will be produced by a group of fans and sent out. They will trade items or find ways to collect money to pay for them. You will find forums dedicated to zines and posting zines months after print release. There is big fan culture
Blogs are every big. Normally personal blogs will interact with each other and have fun; but then there's fan blogs. They only post about their interests and will post some personal stuff. They're almost always anonymous unless you directly know them.
Blog lore:
PinkBandLyfe is a popular BroZone and Kismet blog that always has the best images, videos, and MP3s. They've nicknamed the blog owner Pinkie and know her bias is Clay, but since she is around Bitty B’s age, she has a soft spot for him. Bass in Kismet is her bias. But since Bass is a private person she promotes healthy boundaries and privacy. She preaches for Bitty B and Bass’s privacy. She's speculated a few times but that's it. Everyone gives her her privacy and keep her identity secret since she is big on that and they respect her (and fear her disappearing). Her blog is chaotic but well organized and out together!
BatterBug is a survival/doomsday blog that people learn survival skills from and it talks about literally everything and anything about tragedy and skills to use in them. They call the owner BB and call him paranoid. But it's useful so he has a following
ReverbFan27 is a Bad Hair Day blog that isn't as in-depth as PinkBandLyfe. The blog is run by the user who has been nicknamed 27. He tends to be more practical and people enjoy watching him ramble about the technical aspects of the performances. They know his older brother, who is nicknames Ef, was into them first and got 27 into it. They only know that, he is a Billy Reverb bias, and he is the youngest child. The rest is a secret. They speculate who he is because sometimes he has the best pictures of BHD. But they haven't figured it out yet. He's VERY organized
Everybody knows Pinkie and 27 are friends and they helped each other get popular. Sometimes you will see them give each other content to post! 27 somehow has never before seen BroZone stuff or will mention he has rare collectibles that Pinkie lives for
People ship Pinkie and 27. They laugh and brush it off
Misc story lore that isn't spoilers:
Bergens made peace 10 years earlier when Poppy accidentally ran into Bridget when she ran off angrily. She helped Bridget on her own and it creates positive political ties!
The kingdoms live how they are post Trolls World Tour due to (unspecified) events happening! It is noted to happen a generation ago with King Thrash and King Peppy taking thrones
The kingdoms now have bigger populations and are more spread out! They have multiple cities and towns. Neighboring troll tribes now touch, but you must put in effort to travel
Royals freely live amongst their people in society due to respect from the people. They're big on “humanizing” the royals. Royals are not big on public appearances outside of their kingdoms. The ambassadors are the only ones seen in the wild
Branch spends his free time reading/writing in the coffee shop or in a library. He normally has his headphones on with a Walktroll (walkman). He lives to write his blog posts by hand first, so he writes them in the coffee shop. He also carries around a camera to take pictures of things. He develops them himself in his pod and put them on the walls if they're good then in albums if they're okay or bad. He has a TON of childhood photos from Rosiepuff, who died a natural death before he joined Kismet. He uses her camera. He so takes a ton of pictures of Kismet and sends them to Pinkie!

any sftbt content to consume? or just general stuff, I wanna see some rambling (dogteeth perhaps?? that looks interesting!!)
SftBT is on hiatus for now, it'll get another long work if I feel like there's anything left for me to say after Fraud releases. But there's a handful of smaller projects tied to the series I've been working on sporadically! One day they might get posted, who knows. Here they are in order of how long ago I started them!
'Resignation Letter', this is a one-shot about Kaine and Shrike. This one would need some pretty major rewrites, as almost the whole thing got re-used in 18: Shrike. I'm not against returning to it though, Shrike and Kaine's dynamic is a pretty fun thing that I never got to explore a whole lot in Handle With Care. Fun fact: 'Resignation Letter' was the original introduction to Kaine! He wasn't going to show up in the story until about (the point that would become) chapter 14.
'Cleanup Duty' is another one-shot that somehow morphed into Electric Sleep. It's about all three viscera units meeting up in 7-S. How is V2 there? Plot magic! The three get to bounce off each other for awhile. My favorite part is when Mirage makes Shrike apologize to Cerecelle for being a big meanie. It's also got V2 teasing V1 because it got '''replaced''' with Beeper. And Nightjar is mentioned! Here's a snipit of Nightjar lore from the work:
3. 'Quiet at World's End' is a work of some medium about Koda looking for V2. I'm really starting to think it would be better as a comic or illustrated work then the text-only version it has now. It's got the currently-unintroduced character Mori, and Mirage's handler, Sawyr. In my brain there's some very strong weird visuals going on, hence the potential medium change. There's a whole lot of Koda angst, a little bit of Mirage angst, and Earthmover weirdness!
4. 'Death of Our Mother-Beast' is a Sleet-centric comic focusing on Sleet right after the death of Caladrius! It's mostly about its time as a scavenger-bot forman. It's not a very happy comic, there's a heavy focus on Sleet and Julyen Ryker. There's a whole lot of mental breakdowns in the simulation. Sleet bites Ryker a couple times. Big focus on the upkeep of robots as well.
As for Dogteeth: sososo much robot weirdness, but mostly memory-related this time. It's not borderline zenofiction like SftBT is, as Pyre, Laika, and Dog are all quite distinctly human. The themes are pretty similar to SftBT though, so if you liked the Hell Protocol, Kernel segments, or the Earthmovers, there's probably something fun for you in there! If you can get through buckets of Destiny lore. But hey, Pyre is like, super fucking weird I could never write a normal robot. She's got fire magic AND the weirdest inferiority complex!
There is romance in this one though. Nothing major, and it's mostly between side characters (excluding the crush Pyre is mentioned to have at a couple points) but heads-up to that.
Just realized, there is totally Zenofiction in Dogteeth, just not with the robots. One of the important characters is Krevyr, an Eliksni (basically a spider-alien-thing) child. He's really important to making a bunch of things happen. Along with his sister, Ryges, who is a WILD character and I cannot wait to introduce her.

That ass of hers is wider than a couch, at minimum.
She basically schlorps up anyone she sits on into those puffy holes of hers...
It's a hazard. You'd think someone would have put warning lights on her ass. Maybe one of those beepers that goes off when she's backing up, like with a truck. But nope!
And she tries not to just sit on people all the time. But sometimes she doesn't remember to check her seat. It happens..

Squidbillies #47: "Atone Deaf" | June 29, 2009 - 12:00AM | S04E07
Early gets very drunk and thrown out of the Jiggle Hut. He tries to drive home in front of the Sheriff, who arrests him and makes him be a garbage guy on the side of the road, like they like to do with the prisoners. Early also nearly kills the bartender at said Jiggle Hut with said truck. Early gets in more trouble for brutalizing a nearby shoe store clerk and stealing shoes.
Early keeps leaving jail; one time it’s because it’s under construction and there’s a big hole in the side of the wall, and another time the Sheriff just cheerily informs him that they have an open door policy, so Early just leaves again. It’s one of those episodes where The Sheriff follows Early around to make sure he’s not recidivising all over the place. I swear, there’s like a handful of these.
Eventually this leads to Early trying to make amends around town to the people he’s brutalized, but he thoughtlessly excludes Rusty and Granny. When Early asks what he has to be sorry for with them, we get a little montage of Homer saying D’oh over and over. Then it ends but I forget how.
If Squidbillies deserves points, it’s for originality. It still has the skeleton that most Adult Swim shows have; an absurdist plot that acts as a through line for absurdist jokes but dressed up in some strikingly different way. It doesn't have NOTHING in common with, say, Aqua Teen Hunger Force. But it's flavor is different enough for me to say "well, at least it's doing that."
The character stuff is just admirable enough that I don’t really care that much that most of the episodes of the show don’t have much of a point, and are usually just the characters doing stupid stuff. It’s ugliness is more in the spirit of Beavis and Butt-head’s early seasons. It just rarely makes me laugh, is all, and I don’t love it, I just sorta like it. I appreciate it as an small plate in the buffet that is Adult Swim. But you know I’m just biding my time until I can go to the carving station and get myself a nice big slab of–you guessed it–the 2AM Family Guy repeat.
This time they show footage of the Cheyenne Cinnamon pilot. It's playing on a TV screen. That's what that was if you didn't know.
MAIL BAG:
Did you think the pink man episode of aqua teen was meant to be a pisstake on the family guy/robot chicken star wars shows? I very much assumed it was at the time but now... "I don't know!"
Fucked up, but, I think you're absolutely right and my failure to mention this can mean one of two things:
I meant to, but forgot
actually it's going to be three things, not two
don't count that last one. I can't figure out how to renumber this. One of the other ones is: I am joylessly consuming these shows and just trying to get through the act of blogging about them as my life spirals more and more out of control, mind nowhere near the task at hand
(actually 3): I have a very basic inability to make very simple connections, because I am more concerned with finding more esoteric ones. You know that episode of Tom Goes to the Mayor where it ends with Tom saying "whew, saved by the bell!" and it cuts to footage of Dustin Diamond? I DIDN'T RECOGNIZE THIS AS AN INTENTIONAL CONNECTION AT ALL. I just thought it was so phenomenally funny that a guy's beeper going off could constitute being "saved by the bell" in any universe that I chose to embrace that as the joke's true meaning. Let's face it, I'm a mean guy.
the big redhead from boy meets world does pornography now. you can watch it online and see what it's about. unfortunately a lot of it is girl on girl which is fake. not real. but her tits are hanging out in all of it.
My favorite thing about her is that she's an age-appropriate hottie (for me, anyway), so I can whack off with my scruples fully intact. I'm a little salty about my circumcision, my parents really did a number on me in that regard, so sometimes it takes a while for me to get in the mood because whenever I look at my penis I get pissed off at them, and the only thing that calms me down is starting my jack sesh by looking at a bunch of 20 year olds first. But Maitland is my favorite as far as any of you know.
Broheim i was on mythbusters forums all weekend seeing if you would swing by but you never touched base. You missed the annual tribute to the late Grant Imahara. Gotta check out the archives for that. And I know you don't want to miss Kari week. Gotta get on there bro, there just too much left to bust.
Is there enough room for two giant red-heads in my life? Uhh.... (this music starts playing)
Anyone notice that this era of adult swim is just completely fucking gay.
Bad year! We need some juice! We need more bald UCB dudes to make shows. Come on! PLEASE. Also don't say "gay" it's rude.

@psychcdelica sent: I think Annie and Dogi should go free diving totally
Each movement rocks the boat just a little bit more. Nobody's panicking. Not yet. Dogi just has that effect on boats when they're not big ol' liners or what have you. A grin is flashed towards Annie after the anchor is down and he's ensured the boat wasn't going anywhere (despite the wobble).
"Feeling that excitement? Well, don't let it get too bad, yeah?" Dogi chuckles, taking a seat on the edge of the railing next to his lover and offering her another drink from the bottle. It was important she stayed hydrated on a hot day like today. Decked in their new swimsuits (and damn if she doesn't look good) it would probably be a day to remember. One way or another. Far as he could tell the worst that happens is CPR... okay. Best not say that out loud.
"Thing about free diving, compared to going down with a full set o' gear. Is you gotta watch your body. Relax. Don't push yourself. Think about how comfy you feel reaching a spot then check it out. If you can't make it, then rise back up. Careful kicks. Let your body float."
He makes a waving gesture with his hand, as if his arm was cutting its way up through the ocean towards another horizon. A smile. Then a chuckle as his arm finds temporary hold on her waist to give it a 'reassuring' shake.
"Course, if you do get scared, just stop- hold that beeper I gave you- and I'll get you out right quick."
The former sailor was a confident swimmer, after all. He'd spent numerous hours training for swims in emergency situations as part of his naval training. An excursion like free diving with Anelace would be a return to basics for both of them. A welcome refresher seeing as it had been awhile.
"You ready?"

for the asks please!
camellia ⇢ what were you like when you were younger? do you think you’ve changed a lot?
nutmeg ⇢ how’s your room/home decorated? do you have a specific theme or style going on?
chamomile ⇢ what kind of things do you like receiving as gifts?
Thank you for the ask @sui-ifno !!♡♡♡
From this post <3
camellia ⇢ Younger Beepers was a very sweet bean - not to say I'm a snake now - but that girl was actually too nice for her own good. She was very gullible and very naive. Poor bean didn't know when she was getting taken advantage of :( but she LOVED watercolor painting and when she was much younger, pretending to cook with dirt and water bottle caps and leaves. She was very clumsy and cared about everyone and everything. 100% I have changed a lot. I'd like to think I'm not gullible anymore or as naive as I was, & I don't waste my time on the wrong people anymore \o/ Not to mention my art side is definitely more prominent, but I just have more hobbies now \o/ I consider myself a much better version of lil beepers :3
nutmeg ⇢ I share my room with my older sister so I'm a bit limited to making things my taste lol however our room is still very basic. I do have some of my art along with some animal and car posters hanging on my very white walls though. Other than that, my style is best described as unorganized and messy LOL
chamomile ⇢ I LOVE when people give me gifts that are genuinely thoughtful (duh) but like it could be literally anything as long as i can see that person paid attention to our conversations and cared about them. like this one time my best friend gave me a tiny paper crane because of an inside joke. And this other time my other best friend gave me a quote book full of what she and I, along with our friends, had said years prior that made us cry laugh. She DIYed the book itself from printing paper which made me wanna cry 😭❤ those things make me so happy
Ty again! Sorry for the essay!
#when will my posts never not be long 😅#ty for the ask fren!!!#this particular ask i liked a lot so tyyy#beepers rambles#asks

mārīte cant fall asleep by herself in the dark/is scared of the dark, so even before stone, she and sylvester basically shared a bed, despite her having her own bedroom (and bed)
i was gonna draw a cute lil comic but my brain gave up on me, so imma just describe it
i do imagine stone coming back home late at night, maybe 2 or 3am on a saturday, so sylvester is also still up and maybe reading or smth.
maybe sylvester didnt even know he was coming home, so he cant help his surprise. imagining he moves to carry mārīte to her own bed so they can talk for a while or just so stone doesnt need to worry about crushing her in his sleep
imagining him whisper-yelling so mārīte gets put back, (whos still out like a damn log. she eepy) and sylvester cant help but oblige.
he'd help stone with that stupidly heavy gear and clothes, leaving a pile of it on the ground to be tomorrow's problem, but not before grimacing at the bandages covering his body. but again, thats a problem for later.
imagining the moment stone lays down, mārīte just instinctively curls up into his side, and sylvester cant help but reach over and pet his hair a little.
hes still not exactly tired and would have liked to talk, but the silence is something he's used to nonetheless.
he does actually properly scold stone in the morning about not giving any warnings of coming home *and* for coming back covered in blood-soaked bandages, and now the bed cover's stained smh
Sorry, Sylvester, Stone passed out as soon as Mārīte curled up beside him. I don't make the rules.
Look, if Sylvester gets a beeper, Stone can tell him that he's going to come home from deployment. Because well, Stone refuses to get a phone. Absolutely side-eyes Sylvester's phone already. He's like "Do you know that Big Brother can look into your phone camera and see you?"
(Bestie, you're not even in the States anymore, why the fuck would Big Brother care?)
