Character 279: op, seemingly malevolent space child gets trapped in a Round Boi (a mirror), meets some puritan loser 400 years ago and becomes his bestie, helps said loser commit genocide. plans fail, space child is free from the mirror prison, and turns an entire nation into a giant doll house. but he learns about redemption and the power of friendship through his best friend (a talking op dog creature) and his family (a chronically ill middle aged wine mom lesbian and the human nerd she found in a tent and kept). he helps save the nation from his ex-bestie puritan loser, now an evil sentient pile of sludge that straight up possessed the island, were he learned that people die and that Sucks (its okay the dead person got better). and when all was said and done he said "im too young for any more bullshit" and left for space immediately after, stops by his friend's house every once in a while to reassure him that no he's not using a nation as a playground again hes gone through character development.

Character 292: hes the most unhinged 13 year old youll ever meet. hes shot a man before. a gambler who doesnt care if he lives or dies, which makes his various matches against the yakuza very stressful for them. at 19 he went up against a man who had been responsible for the murders of many via blood loss, and has the absolute audacity to raise the amount of his blood drained 10x just so he could drain the old man of all his wealth, which he later gambles away again after he wins. he died during the game but he got better. he got dementia in his 50s and arranged a fake funeral for himself, invited his friends to it to tell them he wasnt actually dead yet, and then died in front of all of the for real. in a tiger print button up and white suit. an irl funeral service is held for him yearly on the date of his death and he has a physical grave.

Character 16: He had a close group of friends that were so traumatized by accidentally killing one of their group members that they swore never to see each other again. Now he’s in high school, emotionally distant, and has no aim in life. Thankfully magic apocalypse anime bullshit is happening, so on top of all that, he has to kill some demons that a cult sent after him specifically. I think he’s cool because he’s a dork-ass loser, is canonically really hot despite also canonically being ugly as shit(?), was a pretty early example of positive bisexual rep, and is a great source of angst because he just cannot catch a fucking break. Seriously, I only touched on half of this kid’s saga of trauma.

Character 51: A boy who despite doing his best to make his parents happy ends up having to walk away from his family all together. Burnt out "gifted child" who is now coasting through life by working far more than he should to battle with the guilt and trauma in his heart. He dove headfirst clothes and all into a lake once because he panicked. Writes a lot of letters. Cares alot about people being safe.

Character 154: He's a recovering alcoholic and lapsed Catholic, so naturally he lives above a bar. Then he's a FORMERLY recovered alcoholic and a mostly lapsed Catholic, and he STILL lives above a bar. He has a god complex and a martyr complex and a superiority complex, but he's also acutely aware that he's six dozen issues bundled into a suit and doused with whiskey. He's an unwilling member of a found family. He's the personification of the 'this is fine' meme but he's the one who set all of the fires. He once deposed the ruler of a small European country.

Character 4: he's a young count who isn't generally accepted in noble society because he doesn't have a filter and is socially awkward and probably autistic. early on his father dies and as such he gains his inheritance? he has to fight other distantly-related family members for it though. he's pushed into all these boxes as soon as his dad dies because he's socially desirable now?? on the way he marries this princess who deceives him and tries to con him out of his money - that sends him into a bit of a depression spiral, as he tries to find the meaning of life and turns to alcohol instead. his whole arc is becoming in tune with his emotions, which are often unreliable and cause a lot of mistakes in his life - to achieve this he does a lot of things, like joining a cult, becoming a war prisoner, plotting to assassinate a major historical figure and ultimately marrying one of his close friends, who he supports after she becomes the centre of a public scandal.

Character 178: at the beginning of the story, she was introduced as a authority-hating, troublemaking punk who was trying to find her place in the world. she butted heads with one of the other characters, but as the story progressed, they grew as people and developed a sibling-like relationship with each other :) throughout the story she dealt with many challenges, but ended up growing into a mature, responsible, and still very badass punk <3 she was even able to get her dad & somewhat kidnapper put in jail!! yay!!! also she punches things in a very cool way & has a girlfriend/wife who also is very badass <333
