I was really excited to read this book about priestesses in antiquity (across cultures) only be disgusted and disappointed when it was clearly interpreted through the lens of Christianity
#i was so hype bc i wanted to learn more for my arthurian retelling that i'm going to write#bc i wanted to make morgan super dynamic and complex#and then this book was just the WORST resource#the entire celtic section had virtually NOTHING to do with the actual priestesses but JULIUS FUCKING CAESAR!!!#ugh it was such a waste
