Ace Attorney: Trials in Paradise 🌅

�� an AA7 fan concept —

Initial Premise:

Since it’s designed for the Switch 2 (and thus made for a larger screen), the game will almost always have 2-3 characters on screen at a time, and will feature dozens of unique interaction animations between all sorts of character combos.

There has been another 7 year timeskip.

The old judge retired, and the new judge is his granddaughter!

The jurist system is featured.

This concept is heavily based around these designs.

The characters would have multiple outfits throughout the game, which become unlockable costumes, much like the DLC costumes of DD, SoJ, and TGAA games.

While this is way too specific to truly be a "prediction" of what aa7 could be, I tried to keep it (mostly) realistic to what I thought could actually be in an ace attorney game!

📦 Case 1: Turnabout Homecoming

Trucy left the nest and Phoenix doesn’t like living alone anymore, so Phoenix is moving into Edgeworth’s house. Apollo— who recently got his driver's license— was driving the moving van, and was accused because a body had been found in the vehicle. The true killer was one of the movers. I like the idea that you'd have to look through boxes for evidence, maybe the murder weapon was hidden within their belongings.

Defendant: Apollo Defense: Phoenix Weird Girl: Edgeworth Prosecutor: Diana Payne (Winston’s daughter) Detective: (drumroll…) Godot!! Witnesses: Larry (he was helping with the move), Leslie (one of the movers) Victim: Bee(another one of the movers) Killer: Anne(third mover)

🎢 Case 2: Rollercoaster Turnabout

Maya and Pearl are on vacation at Blue Badger Land. Pearl is accused of murder after a body is found on an unpopular attraction that only Pearl enjoys going on. As an aside, Gumshoe is retired from detective work, and now works as a dog trainer. He trained Armando's service dog, Spot O'Coffee. Wendy Oldbag also serves as a witness, but she's pretty old at this point. Her memory has become fuzzy with age, and her testimonies begin to mix up information from other trials (which will be little references to previous games).

Defendant: Pearl Defense: Apollo Weird Girl: Maya Prosecutor: Klavier Detective: Godot Witnesses: Gumshoe (and his kids, Callum & Beau), Wendy Oldbag, Ride Operator Victim: Ride Safety Inspector Killer: Park Manager

💍 Case 3: My Love, Turnabout

Klavier has arranged a collab performance between Trucy and Lamiroir. Hugh Dini, Trucy's assistant and boyfriend, is accused when his stunt double is found dead. Hugh is very cagey about his alibi, but it's because he was planning to propose and didn't want Trucy to know yet. Franziska takes this and spins it into a jealousy plot, and insinuates he killed his stunt double out of envy. Because Hugh is actually pretty shy, he has a habit of not speaking up, which only incriminates him further. A twist in the case is revealed during a cross-examination when it turns out the "gold band" the witness is referring to wasn't Hugh's engagement ring, but instead about a gold bangle. This immediately puts Apollo under suspicion, until Phoenix drops a hint that someone else (Lamiroir) has a gold bracelet as well. The truth about Trucy and Apollo's sibling relationship is revealed when Athena finds an unexpected emotion in Phoenix's mood matrix, and Lamiroir decides it’s time to break the news.

🏝️ Case 4: The Getaway

This one isn’t a traditional case.

After Manfred Von Karma divorced his first wife, Bianka, he moved to Europe, and his previous home was left uninhabited until his eldest daughter, Karla Von Karma, discovers she has inherited it. She decides to turn the beachside property into a bed & breakfast, and invites her half-sister Franziska and adoptive brother Edgeworth to give the manor a trial run and let her know if it’s suitable for visitors. Edgeworth brings along Wright Anything Agency, because… why not treat them to a break?

But of course, their vacation quickly takes a turn when they find a literal skeleton in the closet.

Not all of the rooms in the estate had been searched. Manfred’s study has a large, padlocked safe, and Karla hadn’t gotten around to hiring a locksmith to open it for her. Phoenix tries “0001” for the hell of it, and the only thing more surprising than that combination successfully opening the safe is the body folded up inside.

They can’t imagine the killer was anyone other than Manfred Von Karma, but— since he’s already been executed— they’re not sure if a trial even needs to be held. They need to investigate the situation to determine with absolute certainty it was, in fact, Von Karma, because otherwise they’d need to find a new suspect. Obviously, the group of criminal justice lawyers aren’t not going to get to the bottom of it.

Except Apollo, who has decided he wants nothing to do with solving the murder. He came on this trip for a vacation, dammit, and that's exactly what he's gonna do. He heads back outside to the beach, and leaves everyone else to the investigation.

The first mystery is figuring out when the murder happened. The police arrive, and Ema estimates that the remains are about 30-40 years old, which is around the time the Von Karma family moved out. Since Manfred & Bianka had divorced in 1999, they start to wonder if Manfred had even still been residing here when the murder took place, but the body is found with a train ticket dated for January of 2002. A time period that just so happens to line up with the one singular vacation Manfred took during his entire career— to recover from a gunshot wound that he couldn’t even trust a doctor with knowing about.

The body is wearing a housekeeper's uniform, and they identify her as Ophelia Falsch. They conclude that she was killed because she had discovered Manfred’s injury, and he wanted to eliminate the witness. They think they have the case over and done with, but then Ema comes back with the dental analysis. She explains there was no dental record of an "Ophelia Falsch", but the teeth did match Bianka Von Karma.

This raises some questions. Why was Bianka dressed as Ophelia? Was there a more personal reason Manfred could have killed his ex-wife? Could Ophelia have been involved as well?

Since the murder happened so long ago, they don't even know where to begin with finding witnesses. Karla was 18 at the time of the murder, and had just moved out, so she wasn't present. Edgeworth, of all people, is the one to suggest an unconventional idea: why not ask Von Karma himself?

The manor is in a remote location that's only accessible by train or boat, and since it's late, Maya won't be able to get there until the next morning. In the meantime, they check up on Apollo, only to find him getting scolded by a woman about having his chair on the beach. She explains that she's Karla's daughter, Angelika Von Karma, and that she's impassioned about marine ecology. She just discovered the beach had become a nesting site for an endangered species of sea turtles, and is worried about disrupting it.

The next morning, Maya arrives, and Phoenix and Edgeworth hold a mock trial in the foyer. Manfred is channeled, but is uncooperative, so they try... a different method. Phoenix and Edgeworth perform a reenactment of how they think the murder happened, while Trucy and Athena watch Manfred to see if they can glean any information based on his reactions.

Manfred breaks down and confesses to the murder, but is telling the truth when he says that he didn't know the victim was Bianka; he did, in fact, think he had killed a housekeeper who found out about his gunshot wound. After this, his spirit is released.

As puzzling as this is— who was Ophelia, anyway?— they can't do anymore investigating because Karla has become very upset. The whole ordeal has caused long-repressed emotions to resurface. She's always felt a little bit resentful towards Franziska because their father left Bianka for Franziska's mother, Levina, and always felt like she had her family taken from her. On top of that, Manfred had done everything he could to get full custody of Karla in the divorce, and she never saw her mother again. She's angry that that wasn't enough— he'd gone and killed her too.

Karla and Franziska get into a big fight, and the whole trip ends up cancelled.

🚂 Case 5: Turnabout Train Car

They all board the train to head home. The mood is really awkward and it's kind of a bummer. Since the train is only way out of the area, Karla has to board as well, albeit in another car.

And because nothing is ever easy, there’s a murder on the train.

The victim was the owner of the train, Diesel Porter. He was found in his private sleeping room, and the only other room on that train car was being occupied by Karla, so naturally, she is accused.

Since Ema and the police are already on the train, they’re able to take control of the situation until the train makes it back to town. The Wright Anything Agency isn’t allowed to investigate the crime scene much, so they opt to interrogate the other odd passengers.

They get a helpful tip from the train’s bartender that Cole Porter, son of Diesel Porter, had been making plans to build a resort. They also find out that the train company had been losing money, since they weren’t getting many passengers.

The next day in court, Phoenix claims Cole killed his father to inherit the company, but Cole denies it because, why would he want to inherit a dying company? And Phoenix turns it around by bringing up the resort plans and how he wanted to build it on Karla’s property. He couldn’t just kill Karla, because then they’d have to take care of Angelika and Franziska too, so they needed Karla to feel like she had no choice but to sell it.

The trial goes to recess and Cole is apprehended for questioning, but at that moment they get word that someone else has just been murdered on the train— the bartender from before.

Phoenix goes back to the train investigate and boards when it’s stopped on the mountaintop station. While he’s investigating the train’s caboose, Cole’s wife, Electra, detaches it from the rest of the train. Cole and his wife were in cahoots! Phoenix is sent hurtling backwards down the mountain in the runaway car, and manages to pull the emergency brake just before reaching the bottom. He’s ended up back by the manor, and calls to have a boat sent to pick him up.

While he waits, he finds Angelika is still here studying the turtles. She gives him permission to go inside the manor again to investigate. He finds the deed to the house, along with an old photo that has a letter written on the back. It’s addressed to Bianka from Levina (Franziska’s mother).

The case is solved when Phoenix proves that both Cole & Electra Porter were involved in the murders. The land becomes protected by the government in order to keep the sea turtles safe, since they are endangered.

After the trial, Phoenix shows Karla and Franziska the letter he’d found. It turns out Levina hired Bianka as a housekeeper under the alias “Ophelia” so that she could still see her daughter Karla. The photo depicts a teenage Karla playing with a baby Franziska. Levina and Bianka had a good relationship, and had made efforts to keep their families together.

Karla and Franziska apologize to each other, and agree to get along better.

Klavier has been invited as a guest judge for a fashion tv competition. He invites Pearl (and Apollo) to the shooting as an apology for accusing her for murder & because of their shared interest in fashion. "Lip sync for your life" but literally.

Sometimes I think being a public defender is like standing on the bank of a river and the river is full of a constant stream of plastic bottles and you have one pool net, like the kind that scoops leaves out of a swimming pool

So you’re constantly fishing for bottles and flinging them onto the bank and you missed six while you got that one snagged in the weeds, too bad, there are 17 more coming, and then you look up

And upriver you can see a plastic bottle plant with a chute that dumps at least half its bottles into the river. Constantly.

and you’ve got a prosecutor next to you saying “it’s a shame these bottles are just useless, throwing their lives away,” and the chute is Right There and they look straight at it and say “look, some of those bottles managed to land right, good for them”

And you’re trying to think about how to explain the laws of physics to the prosecutor but your latest bottle is full of bees and the bees have filed a bar complaint.

Tattoos Together

Colby Brock x Reader (Female)

Warnings: Swearing

Genre: Friends to Lovers, FLUFF, RPF (Real Person Fic)

Summary: They got too many matching tattoos for it to be a coincidence at this point.

The first one was easy to get away with. Mostly cause they dragged Sam into it as well. Considering how spontaneous it was, it's a miracle neither one of the three regrets waking up the following morning, hungover after a night of drinking illegally acquired booze, to find a small sheet ghost tattoo on the inside of their right wrists.

The others are harder to explain and count on their fans to be the most diligent investigators and most relentless prosecutors.

Let me give you an example

For starters, the devil horns and tail behind Colby's left ear. Tiny tattoo but an adorable one at that. Hard to spot but the watchful eye of the fandom rarely lets something slip by.

But even so, Colby and Y/N managed to get away with for months. Despite me making it sound like a crime, it's in no way serious. But it was definitely treated as such when, during one video, in a single 0.2s long moment, fans managed to catch glimpse of a tattoo behind Y/N's right ear that's usually concealed by her hair. Much like Colby's, it's a small and easy-to-miss and even easier-to-cover tattoo.

But man did that freeze-frame from the video get the dating rumor pot boiling. Who knew a tiny tattoo of a halo and angel wings would cause such a stir huh?

The second one is subtle, but far easier to spot. And once the fans' crosshairs landed on the tattoos, Colby and Y/N got a little bold.

No caption either - just Colby's style. Perfectly theatrically mysterious. The kind of mysterious that forced them to silence their phones to prevent them from buzzing directly off the table.

And then they just started making it too easy for the Fandom Watch...

Subtlety has clearly been erased from these two's vocabularies since forever. But hey, at least the dating rumors are being fed well. Really goes to show that no one can add kindling to a fire quite like a fire can engulf shit on its own.

On day, on an Instagram live, all three are gathered in Sam's room. Colby's the one who started the live out of boredom, due to Sam being busy planning out future videos and Y/N editing. Her work ethic failed her on account of nagging Sam alongside Colby which meant that, pretty quickly, no one was getting any work done. White Claws were passed around and the live soon became a circus.

"I'm not supposed to drink, I'm getting a tattoo done in like an hour." Y/N says, ironically right before taking a long swig of her White Claw.

Colby, either purposefully or truly accidentally, has a bit of a slip-up when he turns to sass her back, "We both are but you don't hear me complaining."

Needless to say, he deserved the empty can he got clocked in the head with. Curtesy of Y/N, of course.

*sigh* If subtlety were air, they'd die of suffocation.

There was a round of applause, and Maria soaked it up like a sponge. Maria loved it when Klavier serenaded her, but to do it in front of an audience?! She couldn't stop smiling!

Folding her hands underneath her chin, she looked up at him with moony eyes, biting the inside of her lip in anticipation.

Klavier chuckled airily, taking pride in how his words resonated with her. Regardless of how serious this was, who was he to deny a kiss?

...A man on the mission, that was who he was to deny a kiss. Klavier put a finger to her lips and winked.

"Will you hold onto that thought for me?" He asked before standing up from his seat.

The band gradually diminuendoed the music, eventually stopping completely, while Klavier made his way to the stage. The lights were dimmed, leaving only the stage ones, giving Klavier's skin, hair and suit a sparkle.

He flashed a smile to the audience, though his eyes stayed trained on Maria, and there were a few gasps from the neighboring tables. Of course, the customers were warned that there would be a special event on this date and at this hour, but they weren't told exactly what kind of event.

"Good evening, distinguished guests. Just for tonight, I have a very special song for an even more special woman." There were now lights above his and Maria's table. "I hope she hears me out and gives her answer." And with a snap of his fingers, the band begun the intro.

Elie Mystal covered the ridiculous, “Presidential Immunity” (aka, “Why Can’t Trump Be Treated Like A Dictator?”) case before SCOTUS

Dreeben: "BECAUSE THERE WEREN'T CRIMES!" (he didn't yell, I did, but he said "because there weren't crimes." )

Oh God, now Roberts wondering if they should send it back to the DC circuit because he's worried about presidents getting prosecuted in bad faith.

Roberts: "The court of appeals did not get into a focused consideration of what facts we're talking about or what documents we're talking about... they did not look at what courts usually look at when... taking away immunity."

Is this motherfucker serious? His argument is "Every president coups, why is mine getting charged?"

Thomas: Are you saying there's no immunity even for official acts?

And... that could be the ballgame

Roberts, Gorsuch, and Kavanaugh are more worried about a prosecutor going after a president for *political* reasons than A PRESIDENT TRYING TO OVERTHROW THE GOVERNMENT.

This is just about over.

And by "this" I mean the rule of law and by "over" I mean delayed indefinitely to help Trump.

Gorsuch suggesting that under the government's standard a president could be prosecuted for leading a "civil rights protest" in front of Congress and sought to "influence an official proceeding."

Yes, because Jan 6 and a fucking sit in are the same thing, Neil.

This is goddamn disgusting.

I'm going to keep listening because it is my literal job, but this is pretty much in the bag for Trump at this point. Remand to DC Circuit for decision on "official acts" and whether organizing a coup is one.

After November, if Trump loses, SCOTUS will return to the issue.

Alito: Are you really saying the president is subject to criminal laws like everybody else?

YES YOU DICK. THE PRESIDENT SHOULD BE SUBJECT TO THE LAWS LIKE EVERYBODY ELSE!

Alito: "I'm not talking about the particular facts of this case."

Now onto self-pardons. Alito is just playing all the Fox News hits now.

I'm going to smoke. Biden should send Seal Team 6 to Mar-a-Lago because according to Alito there's no downside.

Alito just suggested that the last election was "questionably decided"

I have left my body and am texting things I can't say aloud to my friends.

Kagan is like the first person to be asking about the actual criminal acts Trump is charged with.

I assume Alito is not listening because Kagan is a woman while Gorsuch is probably sitting there emailing the New York Times because they got something wrong on the Spelling Bee.

I see the internet is unimpressed with Dreeben but that's being a little unfair. The Republican justices want to do this, there's nothing that Dreeben could say to stop them.

What he *could* be doing was making their hypocrisy more clear for the non-legal media following along.

But... SCOTUS advocates have to preserve their ability to argue another day, and blowing up the justices in one case

A: Doesn't help them actually win the case.

B: Actively hurts them in the next one.

Kavanaugh: "Like Justice Gorsuch, I'm not concerned with the here and now of this case, I'm concerned about the future."

I don't know why this is acceptable. I do know that the justices are sure they are right about ignoring the facts of THIS ACTUAL CASE.

Kavanaugh... who WORKED FOR KEN STARR... is basically saying that Jack Smith is politically motivated and his appoint in unconstitutional.

It's... maddening. And most of the media reports will not even point out this hypocrisy.

The "independent counsel" law was rewritten into our current "special counsel" law BECAUSE of the shit Kavanaugh helped Starr do! Everybody was like "that crap can't happen again."

so I just found this in my notepad

when I play Ace Attorney, I voice all the characters despite not playing while recording or in front of anyone.

So because I'm by maya-self (hehe... LAUGH.), there's nobody to hear all the funny bits i do! How sad! How dreadful!

So to compensate, the second time I played through the PWT and TGAA1&2 (i have not played the other games yet, i only just started on the DS version of Apollo Justice), i opted to write down every dumb bit into a note. For future reference, of course, in case I ever made a playthrough video or some shit like that

A Hamas plot to kill Jews in Europe was foiled by German and Danish police who uncovered the terrorist group’s alarming change of tactics.

Three people were arrested in Germany, three in Denmark and one in the Netherlands with the Danish prime minister describing the plot as being “as serious as it gets”.

The Hamas operatives were under orders to bring a cache of weapons from an undisclosed location in Europe to Berlin to attack Jewish institutions, German prosecutors said.

Germany has said that four of the seven suspects in the alleged plot are members of Hamas, the proscribed terrorist group which controls the Gaza Strip and which launched the unprecedented October 7 massacre in southern Israel.

The suspects were allegedly planning attacks across Europe, officials said, without giving further details. Israeli officials have suggested all the arrests were linked to a single, cross-border European terror plot.

There was no immediate suggestion of a British link to the Hamas plot. But the Community Security Trust (CST), the body that provides security advice and protection to synagogues, Jewish schools and other Jewish sites, said the news had worrying implications for the UK.

British and Western intelligence agencies have previously warned that the war in Israel has increased the risk of attacks on Jews in Europe.

A CST spokesman said: “Historically, Hamas has never shown interest in carrying out terrorist attacks outside of Israel. There have been one or two plots over the years linked to them but nothing on a significant scale.

“But if this is a shift in policy for Hamas to carry out attacks on Jewish communities outside the region, in line with Iran and Hezbollah, that would be extremely concerning. It represents a significant shift in the threat posed to Jewish communities. There is a big concern if Hamas HQ is ordering Hamas people in Europe to carry out an attack.”

Three of the suspects arrested in Berlin are citizens of Egypt and Lebanon according to German prosecutors. The three suspects arrested in Denmark are to be charged with terror offences, according to Danish police chief inspector Flemming Drejer.

Europe has been on high alert for Hamas-linked attacks since the terror group launched the October 7 massacre.

The arrested suspects appear to have additional links with criminal gangs in Europe according to Danish police.

Security patrols around Jewish sites in Denmark are being stepped up in response to the foiled plot as well as police patrols in Copenhagen.

The three men arrested in Berlin, and another held in the Netherlands, were preparing a weapons cache that would be “kept in a state of readiness in view of potential terrorist attacks against Jewish institutions in Europe”, they said.

Bild, the German tabloid, named the suspects held in Berlin as Lebanese-born Abdelhamid Al A, Egyptian citizen Mohamed B and Lebanese-born Ibrahim El-R. German authorities typically withhold the surnames of criminal and terror suspects.

“The three men have close ties to senior leaders of Hamas’s military wing,” Bild reported, citing sources close to the investigation.

No later than early 2023, Hamas leaders in Lebanon had tasked Abdelhamid Al A, with locating a “depot with weapons in Europe, which the organisation had covertly set up there in the past”, prosecutors said.

Abdelhamid Al A, Mohamed B and another suspect, Nazih R, “set out from Berlin several times to search for the weapons”, and were aided in their efforts by Ibrahim El-R.

“The protection of Jews is our top priority,” Nancy Faeser, Germany’s interior minister, said on Thursday night.

Five apartments and a restaurant in Berlin were searched by police as part of the investigation. German prosecutors said that the investigation into the three suspects arrested there had been launched several months before the October 7 Hamas massacre.

The three suspects arrested in Denmark are due to appear at a closed court session on Friday.

Mette Frederiksen, the Danish prime minister, said the plotters were trying to expand the Hamas-Israel conflict into Europe.

“It is of course – in relation to Israel and Gaza – completely unacceptable for someone to bring a conflict elsewhere in the world into Danish society,” she said at a meeting with EU leaders in Brussels on Thursday.

The Israeli prime minister’s office suggested that Mossad, Israel’s foreign intelligence agency, played a role in alerting the authorities, as well as Shin Bet, its domestic security service.

“The Hamas terrorist organisation has been working relentlessly and exhaustively to expand its lethal operations to Europe, and constitutes a threat to the security of these countries,” it said.

“The Mossad and the ISA [Shin Bet] will continue to combine forces and capabilities with their partners in the country and around the world in order to thwart Hamas’s intentions and eliminate its capabilities.”

Anja Dalgaard-Nielsen, the head of Danish intelligence, said a spate of burnings of the Koran in both Denmark and neighbouring Sweden has been a factor in the heightened security risk.

On Thursday night, Marco Buschmann, Germany’s federal justice minister, thanked authorities for catching the suspects and vowed to protect Jews in Europe.

“My thanks go to everyone involved who, with this successful investigation, has made their contribution to ensuring that Jews in Europe can continue to live in security and peace,” he said. “We must therefore do everything we can to ensure that Jews in our country do not have to fear for their safety again.”

Increased risk of terrorist attacks

In early December, an EU official warned that there was an increased risk of terrorist attacks over the winter holiday period, as potential fallout from the Israel-Hamas war.

“With the war between Israel and Hamas, and the polarisation it causes in our society, with the upcoming holiday season, there is a huge risk of terrorist attacks in the European Union,” said Ylva Johansson, the EU home affairs commissioner.

The Israeli government has also warned that attacks could be on the rise since war broke out, advising its citizens to reconsider travel abroad.

Just a few days ago, Israel said the Mossad had worked with authorities in Cyprus to thwart an Iranian-ordered plan to attack Israeli and Jewish targets on the island. Many Israelis have decamped to Cyprus since the outbreak of war.

Last month, Israeli authorities said they had cooperated with Brazil, which resulted in the arrest of two individuals on suspicion of terrorism and links to Hezbollah, the Lebanon-based armed group that is an ally of Hamas.

Also on Thursday, the US and UK announced sanctions on eight Iran-linked individuals, amid concerns that the Tehran regime is financing Hamas activities in the West.

They include Esmail Qaani, the head of the Quds Force, the military intelligence wing of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps, and four Quds Force operatives based in the Palestinian territories.

My favorite Yeld monsters

I was looking through the Yeld rulebook trying to choose some monsters for my next game, and I kind of got lost in how much I like our monsters. I know this is a little bit of bragging. I did all the art for the game, and my brother and I wrote all the monsters, so its like "hey, isn't this thing I made so cool?" But... Hey, aren't these monsters so cool? Part of it is, of course, that I'm designing the exact kind of monsters I want to see. No wonder I like them! Anyway, please indulge me while I share my 5 favorite Yeld monsters!

The Shipwrecker Queen: A kaiju sized mermaid with squid hair who eats ships? I like her a lot! I designed her for the Yeld Summer Collection, which was a set of odds and ends content that we released a few years ago. My idea was that these giant mermaids support the armies of the Deep as living war engines who destroy enemy warships and sink fleets. I think at first she was going to be a giant squid? This is better.

Big Bad Beetle Boss: A crime boss in the Bug Mafia! This guy shows up as a Boss Monster in our Rank 1 Adventure Set. In that adventure the Friends are witnesses in a trial against some dangerous Spelling Bees. This guy bursts out of the floor in the middle of the court room and skewers the prosecutor! I really love the idea of an insect crime syndicate!

Witch Cult Priest: The Elves of Yeld are cats. They were banished deep under Yeld's surface after starting a war that almost ended the world. Elves are absolute maniacs, and while they aren't individually evil they come from a pretty crappy society built on oppression and hatred. The Elves we meet in Yeld all seem to be little murderous turds. They worship a long dead Witch named Jan Hoddan, who gave them hands and the power to build horrible war machines. I really like this drawing. I was trying to kind of do a Conan the Barbarian style cultist, and I think it works. She looks absolutely deranged, like she would very happily cut out your heart as a sacrifice to her Witch God. Just like every cat I know. You can find her in the Elves of Yeld expansion.

Hasatch: We didn't really create the Hasatch. We stole it from the internet. Do you remember? It was like a weird meme monster from the early 2000s? I always liked it. Its so dumb looking. I don't know if the original intent was that its head looks like a dong, but unfortunately every time I draw it that's what it looks like. Hasatch fit into Yeld really well. They're big and dumb and smelly, and no one likes them. And they eat everything. This illustration is from the Yeld rulebook.

The Facetoother: Nick and I write and design everything for Yeld. Except we have a monthly event where our fans can create new monsters. The Facetoother is one of those monsters, a creature that sneaks into your bedroom while you sleep to steal your teeth! I really like the art for this dude. He's very weird and creepy! He appears as a free monster on the Yeld Patreon.

Lumbering Lumberjackal: Nick came up with this one. The Lumberjackals are the caretakers of the Ghost Oak Forest. They're giants (look at that pig on his belt) that cull the forest's Root Gods and harvest its trees. I like the pun name a lot, and tried to really sell it in the art. A jackal who is a lumberjack? Sure! You can find him in the Yeld rulebook. (Also, he's very handsome, right? Look at that smile. The broad shoulders. Those forearms. I didn't MEAN to make him look like that, but there he is.) Anyway, those are 5 of my favorite Yeld monsters. A totally self indulgent list.

Holy fucking stars above. Prosecutor Eret was right all along?! Wow, I'm speechless. I thought Tommy Innit is speaking the truth, and nothing but the truth, and yet he along with his neighbor Techno have twisted the truth to their narrative. I was blinded by my biases that it clouded my doubt and such since. I have read so many c!Tommyinnit fanfictions that i have developed a biased perspective. That he's a weak and vulnerable man who was manipulated into a better version of himself according to someone liking. And yet there he was. A bullet was shot in the air. The bullet pierce through Dream's forehead. And there he was dead, he shot him. He fucking shot him. He have done it, he break free from the chains and yet in exchange it cost a life. I'm having a moral dilemma right now. But i know what Defendant Innit did was wrong and plain out murder, but if i saw a person who was trying to free from his own chains. Who am i to deny them of such freedom? I know that that Defendant Innit have fooled the public, fool the jury, fool his own attorney. And managed to evade the prosecutor's correct conclusion on the case. And fool us readers who trusted him blindly telling the truth. And yet from point of view. He only do what is necessary to live. In Innit's own words he just wanted to live and break free. And I'm willing to turn a blind eye and hold my tongue to his sin. So thanks writer bee, never know that in the year of 2024 i was trying to justified on a fictional covered up murder to break free from his own chains. Man, I'm seriously and morally fucked in the head. I think i need therapy....

I wouldn't say eret was right all along. eret accused tommy of lying about the physical abuse to make him attacking tommy sound more believable, but that wasn't a lie at all. all of the abuse tommy recounted in his testimony was true. the only time he lied was about the circumstances that led to dream getting shot

but yes I knew all of you guys would be biased towards c!tommy and against c!dream so I really wanted to use that to my advantage for this story. I had a lot of fun crafting the narrative and hinting towards the truth. admittedly, yes, tommy did murder dream. but also. get fucked green boy :D
