Ok *cracks knuckles* lets do this party people
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
what am i saying here i'm saying THERES A FUCKING HAND/HANDS CRAWING AROUND OUT THERE
Tumblr media
(i didn't want to go back and dig in the text dump for it, but the translation from the japanese prophecy window for the cage says "human soul and body parts")
Kris is pulling a fast one on us, remember this part here?
Tumblr media
throws us into the cage then slowly and theatrically pulls out the knife for us to see? See they were gonna do a naughty no no? Yet so many times after that, they make a point of shoving us somewhere and then running off so we'd have no idea wat they were up to?
Kris has been keeping us (the Soul) focused on them with their shifty behavior while "their" appendage/appendages are scooting around out there creating dark fountains and doing god knows wat else
And just to be clear: when first i saw that cage prophecy window i did think that it was supposed to be metaphorical for Kris holding the SOUL captive, but now I think differently. And to also be clear: i'm not saying that Kris's actual hands are detaching, i'm saying they have control/are in cahoots with a second pair of hands that are "theirs". So, why oh why does this kid have one or two magic hands? i guess we just have to fucking wait and find out, but heres something to chew on....
Tumblr media Tumblr media
....doesn't this look a little like a hand to you?
Tumblr media
what if there was one hand in the dark world and one in the light?
youtube
youtube
(its shows up at the 2:07 point)
also somthing somthing theres a reference to Super Smash Brothers in like every chapter so far somthing somthing MASTER HAND CRAZY HAND
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
somthing somthing Master Hand symbolism of using the Nintendo game characters as literal toys/puppets for its personal games
and i reiterate, the knight ain't Dess or Carole. thats like the most transparently obvious hoodwink of a thing ever, especially wat with the antlers just slapped on there. Straight up Toby chicanery and the second i saw it i said uh huh no. Kris's fucking knife is the damn knight, in cahoots with those/that hand/hands. Thats not to say that its really fucking obvious mayor Holiday is part of this somehow. I just think her sudden appearance and the whole "katana aficionado" thing following our introduction to the knight is just waaaay too convenient and might even be another planned subterfuge by Kris and whoever else for our sakes
not convinced? creep a peep at this:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
do my eyes deceive me or is that our pal the Knight/KNIFE with their two partners in crime the FUCKING HANDS
whom, since i first made this post, i'm starting to suspect really might be a "master hand" "crazy hand" situation because:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
...the “mantel” (maybe?) and “friend” sure are shaped alike huh
anyways friends and neighbors, remember:

Nanami Kento x Reader | MDNI 18+ "Do you think we'll ever return to how it used to be, again?"
It's been just minutes before, that you two had been relaxing post afternoon romp – the aftermath of which sees you lying on the couch together in the small shared apartment. The both of you naked as the day you were born save the sheet you wrapped around yourself for warmth.
Soft music plays from your phone. The old speaker making a tinny sound as the singer croons something about love and loss. Purple splotches are starting to bloom on your skin, and the red welts on his back have only just begun to cool with the applied lotion. It's nice this way. Peaceful. It almost feels like how things were before.
"I was thinking," Nanami begins, "we could do down to the old man's diner later. It's been a while since we visited, hasn't it."
"That sounds agreeable, yes…" you drawl, pulling yourself up to be able to lay on Nanami's chest better.
"I'm glad you're still in love with me."
He says it so quietly... Silent enough that if you hadn't been right up against him you might have missed it. Half a whisper, half swallowed. Eaten at the last moment in fear and shame.
You look up at him from the tightened pecs you lay on – a chest covered in bumps and ridges of scar tissue, strengthened from years of training, healed through miraculous effort. You look up at his face – a face that now makes children cry and forces the poor man into hiding it from society that he nearly lost his life protecting. Yet, society are just strangers. They don't know…
"You, didn't give me any choice. Loving you, it's as natural as breathing… How could I— How could anyone who knows you, say no?" It's an assurance, wrapped in joviality. A slight smile plays on your lips.
The song playing on your phone ends. A familiar note rings out in the gap of silence.
Does it smell like a school gymnasium in here? It's funny how they're all the same…
The man under you stirs, starting to sit up.
You frown, "Where are you going?" you whine. "Don't leave me!"
He chuckles, "I'm not leaving, rather, I'm taking you with me.
You're lifted off the couch with ease. Your sheet clad form pressed against his au naturel. His fingers slip into the spaces between yours, and his arm encircles your waist, pulling you into him.
A moment's pause, then he moves. Slowly – each step synced to the gentle notes of the piano as he twirls you out and into his embrace again.
The setting sun casts it's glow over your figures, bathing you in her amber light.
It would be a hundred times easier If we were young again…
You can feel his heart beating, a soft, steady rhythm, harmonising with your own.
"You wanted to dance?" you giggle into his arm.
He nods his head. You can hear him start to hum the tune of the song. His voice – a deep rumble – is comforting, almost lulling you to sleep. You don't care that the space between your legs is sticky and messy. You aren't concerned that night is falling and its getting chilly. Right now, here in this moment, everything is fine.
And then you say it…
"Do you think we'll ever return to how it used to be, again?"
The question slips out before you have a chance to cage it. You bite your tongue realising what you said. The months of work. The therapy. Did you fuck it up with that one careless comment…
And the ground has been slowly pulling us back down You see it on both our skin.
Nanami rests his chin on the top of your head. His movements slow further, to the point that neither of you are moving and your heart beats in your ears— or maybe it's his. Maybe, you're just one… Or none… Or two—
To think that we could stay the same To think that we could stay the same To think that we could stay the same But we're two slow dancers, last ones out.
"No."
The song comes to a close. The last whispering note floats in the air until it finds its way and lands on your tongue.
"I'm just glad it's you in the end." In the darkness of your flat, Nanami feels you take the lead now, gently swaying with him, as you sing.
We're two slow dancers, last ones out Two slow dancers, last ones out

TAG assets:
This has been sitting in my drafts for a while, totally forgot about it but I absolutely have to share. I always think I've seen everything and then some lost media pops up, is it lost media? I don't know. Anyway I don't think I've seen these anywhere else before, I just stumbled upon them while gathering some images from Google and went down a rabbit hole looking for more and I just wanted to share with you guys.
Style guide:
Apdieowjsksksak this is so exciting, it was part of the pitch to ITV and includes images I've never seen before. Unrendered models and frames from S1, unused merch designs more detailed labeling of equipment and tools and this absolute gem showing the process of modelling and rendering.
Tumblr media
I'm honestly so disappointed that we didn't get these merch designs because OH MY GOD they're 100× better than what was ultimately put onto the shelves.
I just want to point out the Thunderbirds converse trainers in particular, I'm sobbing, I need a pair please!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This one I think maybe other people have posted before but it was after I first saw it and started typing this up so I'm gonna go ahead and just continue with my ramble: It's great, it labels all the different features of their uniforms and also confirms some stuff that I don't think has been canonically mentioned before.
(The image is blurry and I only have the energy and enthusiasm to talk about Gorbo and I can't remember all of what has or hasn't been mentioned in other sources so I'm only talking about him here sorry)
Gordon's suit is a drysuit, not a wetsuit which makes sense due to the harsh environments he works in, it's also "pressure and thermal compensating" which I'm guessing regulates his temperature and the effects that deep sea pressure would normally have on a subadiver, it also gives me an answer for a long held question about whether Gordon's constant change of environments would put him at risk of "the bends", a condition that causes air pockets in the blood stream when divers ascend too quickly. I'm assuming the pressure compensation is to prevent this from happening.
Gorbo's regulator is connected to a "bio filtration" rebreather which I'm assuming filters what would normally be unbreathable air, that explains the little vents on the side of his tanks. Next question though is can it filter oxygen out of water to create an endless supply of air while he's EVA??
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is a moodboard made for the series pitch with 2 unrendered shots from series 1 from the episodes Runaway and Slingshot which holy moly we hardly ever see behind the scenes stuff.
Tumblr media
I'm sure there's more out there that we haven't found, this is all that I got for now but I'm hoping we discover more in future because we need more info about the making of this awesome show, we are so starved for behind the scenes content it's ridiculous.

liked a lot of, hated some of it, and somehow ended up here:
overall season thoughts:
i'm working on a post with all my proper thoughts on the season episode by episode but i think the tl;dr is that the bits i didn't like, i really didn't like, so it felt overwhelming when i'd finished watching it all in one go. but really, the bits i disliked were outweighed with what i did like. my brain feels fuzzy.
didn't like:
all the claire shit (obviously)
fak(s) (im never gonna enjoy them, and im sorry but he cant act, certainly not to the level of jaw or ayo or ebon so it pulls me out of it so fast)
sydney being on her own at the hospital and how that played out, if he couldn't go with her (he should have) then nat should have. she was there!! (though beautifully fucking acted by ayo who was fucking incredible this season, i dont care what damn category they end up in, ayo should win them all. she was exceptional)
carmy leaving the bear (i just never wanted either of them to leave, i wanted them to build this together)
donna redemption arc (i know some poeple really wanted this and i get it i do)
francie fak reveal (i always enjoy those kind of long running off screen plots that are a mystery and stay a mystery tbh)
did like:
Sydney was a leader every step of the way in this season. Ayo's acting (and writing) was exceptional. The episode she wrote expanded Sydney's world so wide, and I loved that, feels like that's been a long time coming. While not the outcome I wanted, the last episode was so well done, the acting from the two of them (and then all four of them) was just gorgeous to watch and 'any chance of any kind of good in this building, it started when you walked into it.' the way i can't understand what the fuck is happening because he's saying shit like that and looking at her all season like she hung the fucking moon just for him and yet they aren't together? (and i didnt think they'd get together this season but i didnt think we'd get ... That)
Tumblr media
anyway i binged and them started writing this:

Some backstory (and this will loop back evenually), the day / day after the June 14 No Kings protests, alt nat parks was posting there were 12 million protesters, which in the moment "yay!" but then after there some folks going um...really.
So, while my bias is that media under-reports protests, to be a person interested in facts is to acknowlege bias and then get data to prove / disprove said bias.
To wit, We Dissent has been running a count (as well as a fine set of protest maps) of the various mass protests. You can add values here, or see the running total here and the list of protests here.
At the time, they only had about 40% of the list filled in, and a quick glance told me they didn't have a lot of the mid-sized cities and large towns. So I got their list of events, did a comparison to what they had and started looking up location by location protests they didn't have data for. I realize there are actual organizations that do this kind of thing, but it's also not data that most of us have access to. So, having this resource updated will help in future protests to go, "hmmm...the protest I went to was x% larger than the last one, and there are y more protests, so I'd kind of expect that the total # will fall into x-y range, and if someone says "OMG ZZZ people showed up," I'll know it's a wild exageration.
Now being a completist means that I didn't want to skew the number by skipping the small very local protests happening in the small towns, which often don't have town newspapers.
A moment for the loss of local small town media.
But there is a rich source of data out there. Social media. But looking at FB means I'm also seeing the posts by the MAGA folks. Which to a fault always say, "There were only 10 people there." or "They looked so miserable," the occasional "bet they were paid" and then some often genuinely worrying threats toward those folks safety. On continued digging, the next 5-10s posts would be images of 50, 100, 200 people having a grand time with color signs.
Its a really interesting contrast between what is actually going on, versus what's actually going on. Though, at the time of writing this, their list is 64% of the way filled in. Which is better than 40%.
Germaine to all of that, a fascinating video that ties into the above about why gutting bureaucracy results in short lived empires.
youtube
I appreciate that Andor and Rogue One showed us that the bad guys aren't having a good time. Oppression is unimaginative, dull, shallow, reductive. The lies required to sustain it chafe against the moral conscience. And every scheming military officer working for the glory of the Empire is one misstep away from being tossed into the destructive machine they helped create - and they know it.

Recently I came across interviews with Adi Shankar and guess what, he's still a liar and a narcissist.
Some time ago he said in a podcast (source: AEW’s Kenny Omega & Adi Shankar Breakdown “Devil May Cry” on Netflix) that he was unhappy that Capcom were making DMC5 because he wouldn't be the one to revive the "dead" franchise.
Recently, he bragged, because, after all that's what he's known for, that its because of him that DMC5 reached 10 mil copies.
Tumblr media
While it is true that people bought games because they saw the shitty cartoon (not gonna call it anime, even he said that it's not anime in one of the interviews), it doesn't change the fact that he is a fucking loser who wants you to think that he achieved something grand for Devil May Cry and that you should be grateful and praise him. Unfortunately, he will not be getting that for me, because I don't don't stand for narcissists like him, especially making a mockery of a franchise I like. He can keep saying dumb shit and we have the right to call out his stupidity.
Also, he got community noted, like DMC5 was close to 10 million units before the show came out, if only they counted the sales for Special Edition according to what it says.
It still doesn't change the fact that he's pathetic because I checked his Twitter and oh my God, he had quite a few posts where he was congratulating himself. He wants you to believe that he's now some authority figure that has made a massive contribution to DMC and wants to be credited as if he took part in the creation of the series and whatever happens for DMC, like I dunno, collaborations or merchandise or you have to thank him because he made them happen T_T
Look, I know he's a dumbfuck who only does rage bait and wants attention. It still doesn't change the fact that not everyone will consider it cute and that we should cut him slack. Him saying idiotic stuff isn't a good strategy.
Shankar wasn't happy that he couldn't be the savior of Devil May Cry when he heard about DMC5, that he took the opportunity of that announcements regarding the units sold to tell people that you must be grateful for him.
Like I mentioned in the beginning, some interviews have been made and I've pointed a contradictions that I've made before.
I will only use his own statements and you are free to contradict me. I wouldn't have made this post without having receipts. You can verify the websites I mentioned and if you have seen other interviews, you can mention them because I'm not that crazy to read stuff about him. I just saw some excerpts on Twitter and I looked into them.
Okay, so there are 2 recent interview, one from Deadline and Esquire.
What I noticed is that he changes his story about how he got the rights for Devil May Cry. I wrote about this before but I'm mentioning again here. It has been established that Shankar only brags and wants us to regard him as a savior and when I read what he said in the Forbes interview, it fitted with his behavior.
A long time ago he said in this Twitter post that he wanted to make an adaptation for Dino Crisis but it was Capcom who suggested Devil May Cry and Shankar didn't even knew that DMC was on the table, as he said.
Tumblr media
But in the interview on the Forbes website he claimed:
Tumblr media
Again, wanting to present himself as some kind of warrior, that he fought for us...
Moving on, there are other statements that I found weird about this story regarding how apparently his mission was to get rights ONLY for Dino Crisis but in other interviews he claims that it was always about Devil May Cry.
It was Capcom who came with the suggestion to offer DMC, not that he asked from the start. That's what I gathered from the interviews.
You may think it's unimportant, but I still find it weird why the story is changed.
Now, I want to move on to comment on his fucked up statement that should convince you-although there have been many signs where he proved to be unprofessional and come off as a douchebag who didn't want to produce something out of love for the series.
This is from the Esquire website interview.
Tumblr media
Why the fuck is he comparing the shitty cartoon with Arcane? There shouldn't be any comparison with another IP!
It's obvious what were his intentions. This is why I don't have any respect for him.
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
So many must have coddled him only to be repaid with lies and a product that I can't say it was made for the fans.
I think what I posted on twitter when is relevant. I made this when I heard what he said in that podcast.
Tumblr media
To those who got introduced to DMC through the adaptation, while you may enjoy it, just know that you got an inferior product that wasn't made with respect to the series and its fans.
As a final note, can we stop calling it anime? Shankar said it himself.
Tumblr media
You may not like the only anime from 2007, but I prefer it to the product made by a narcissist that wanted to make something to surpass another product unrelated to the series and told lies.
At least the anime had Bingo Morihashi, the scenario writer for the games (3-5).
So yeah, let me know your opinions.

There have been some really good conversations between Brandon Sanderson and fans on Reddit about Wind and Truth, amd I haven’t seen much duscussion of them here so I though I’d post sone of the bits I found most interesting. One of the things I like best about Brandon is that he tends to engage thoughtfully with criticism (in contrast with his Reddit fans, who can be dismissive of it).
This part is about some of the complaints from fans about WAT feeling too “real-world” and not fantasy-like enough in its language (introduction of real-world swear worlds, the “therapist” joke, amd some of the other jokes).
One Reddit commentor writes:
Brandon has been having quips since the beginning of his time as an author though. I feel like people that compare everything to the MCU are the actual brain poisoned people, not the various authors that now get this insane critique lobbed at them (because it's not just Brandon dealing with it).
Brandon responds:
I wouldn't call people brain poisoned for this.
Warning: long dissection next.
I'd say that this type of humor (which is very much a Gen X style) was overplayed by the people in charge of Star Wars and the MCU, using the humor in bad ways, which has made the entire humor style feel less sincere than it once did.
When it worked, the goal was to humanize characters and make the world seem more real, more "every day life." That was the goal of, for example, Buffy itself--to take fantastic, out-of-this world situations reserved for action stars, and put normal people in those situations. The quips, then, didn't break the fourth wall, but helped make people seem real.
"Puny God" is a good example. It undercuts not the audience, but the arrogance of Loki, while also earning a laugh because we think, "Yeah, that's what would actually happen." It gives a pressure valve and makes things feel real.
But when Poe makes a your mom joke at the start of a Star Wars film, it does the opposite. We don't need the tension relief, and it doesn't feel like a character acting real--it feels like "insert undercut the moment joke A here." See the entire film Love and Thunder.
I think what's happening here, personally, is that readers want sincerity from their stories--there's this growing sense in cinema that we can't take anything seriously, because otherwise we'll be nerds, and only NERDS would like this unironically. So everything has to be ironic and making fun of itself. They long for, say, the sincerity of the LOTR films. (Which still had these moments, usually with Gimli and Legolas, but underplayed them.) Stories that say, "We're not ashamed of the drama, power, and beauty of a fantasy/sf story that takes itself seriously.” Andor and Dune are beloved for these very reasons. EDIT: I also should mention that Deadpool, somehow, manages to be both at once. You have the undercut moments, like when Deadpool trips and falls at the end of the extended fight against all the other deadpools. Yet it doesn't shy away from being sincere at the climax--shockingly sincere. So it kind of uses this humor in reverse; instead of the occasional jolt of humor, it uses a ton of humor, so it can have the occasional jolt of sincerity. Really an interesting storytelling style that absolutely should not work, and wouldn't, without the exact right people in charge. Again, Love and Thunder tried this, and I think largely failed.)
Anyway, I feel that audiences are associating this humor with insincerity more and more, so they're rightly sensitive to them.
(Note to u/kuroinferuno: they did complain about Therapist. I kept it, because at the end of the day, I get to keep a joke now and then that makes me smile, even if I know some won't laugh. Remember, in my books, I try to have a variety of different kinds of humor, because what some people cringe at, others laugh at--and vice versa. I loved that Kaladin, here at this moment of climax, was still baffled by Hoid. And, as I said, this is a genre of humor from my youth that is still powerful for me. From "Boring conversation anyway" to "He's adopted," lines like this really work for me if not overused. But I can see that the current environment of storytelling has made them stand out more, and feel more "hand of the author" than they once were, which in turn kicks people out. Which is something you really want to avoid as an author. At the end of the day, I'd have kept that one, but I'd probably have been a little more careful about other modern language uses so that I could keep the ones I really love, without kicking people out so often.)
I think it’s a solid analysis of when and where quippiness does and doesn’t work, and the problems with how it’s been used as a default for too long and as a substitute for sincerity.
Brandon’s post prior to this one was also very interesting to me, because it got into some of the things that I noticed in Wind and Truth – specifically, how the jumps between character POVs were much more frequent (very few chapters were sole-POV, in contrast to previous books) and seemingly unnecessary (we’d have, say, an Adolin-Kaladin chapter and the a Kaladin-Adolin one, both cutting to a different POV in the middle of what was going on, instead of one Adolin chapter followed by one Kaladin chapter.
Brandon comments on the reason for this:
The goal here was to give a sense of disquietude to WaT by breaking the formula in uncomfortable ways--leading to a sense of uncertainty while reading the book, a sense that something was off, that the average reader (which may not include the people of this subreddit) wouldn't pick up on directly except for a sense of something being "out of tune" as they read.
…The pacing is strange by intention. Instead of an opening action sequence as is common in Stormlight books, there's this disquieting sense of things breaking apart--Kaladin saying goodbye, Shallan and Adolin splitting, Dalinar and Navani being torn away from their kingdom. Instead of fast, slow, fast (as is the general pacing of a stormlight book) it is slow for a distressing amount of time, then jerky--jumping between viewpoints faster than Stormlight books generally do, with far more leaning on a variety of viewpoint characters than previous books have had.
As it goes, there's the uncomfortable sense that none of this is going to get fixed. That it's going to stay this way, despite this being a climactic book. The sense of stress to the book shouldn't simply be "Kaladin is away" it should be all of these things, together, leading to the uncomfortable conclusion that you're not seeing a series wrap up...but a series unravel.
Now, I don't say this to detract from anyone's criticisms of the book--just as explanation for what I was doing. The goal is a symphony going further and further out of tune until you realize, "Wait. This isn't going to correct. It's going to stay that way."
It’s really good to know that Sanderson was doing this intentionally, that the book was supposed to feel jerky. A deliberate stylistic decision (whether or not I enjoy it) is a very different thing from a writing problem the author is unaware of.
Sanderson also talks about the balance in writing for an online fandom who will predict polot developments way ahead of time, while also writing for readers for readers that aren’t part of those lore-amd-plot-analysis-heavy forums. And in retrospect it feels like Sanderson was trying really hard to not blindside the not-online people with the ending – the disquieting pacing and the crumbling chapter-heading art both serving to signal that this isn’t going to be a happy ending. Given that Sanderson’s books, including all 4 previous installments in the Stormlight Archive, tend to lead ypu to the edge of disaster before averting it, I get why he wanted to somewhat telegraph that that wasn’t happening this time around.
But honestly, the most surprising thing to me in the comment was that Sanderson has watched (and liked!) Deadpool and Wolverine. 🤣

Some of you have probably seen anonymous asks that I've received for the past few weeks, sending me nothing but harassment and bullying. Consider this my response and statement about my truth about the situation. I have backup to my claims cursory of @barnesprosecutor who's been here since the beginning of this. Also my friends @chaoticcreative14 @snake-cutie @buckyytorres and @greek-freak101 have received similar asks.
Please note that while I'm not fond of this individual, I won't be posting her current username so she remains anonymous and does not receive any other attention. This is my truth. She is more than welcome to post her own response. This is all hearsay as well because my screenshots have been deleted since because I assumed it was over with before the anon hate started.
Back in March, I was invited to join a Danny Ramirez group chat on Instagram and accepted due to being a huge fan of his and wanting to connect with other fans. This group chat was created after I created the Danny Ramirez community and before I created the Danny Ramirez discord server.
Rinie was already a member of the group chat and we followed each other (I had followed everyone in the group chat) and all was fine.
When the Last of Us season two had it's premiere, a friend of mine @retro-rezz-the-est went to the premiere and took a picture with Danny. I asked her if I could send it in the group chat and post it to my community and Rezzy gave permission. When I sent it to the group chat, Rinie claimed that she already had it. Which was weird because Rezzy and Rinie did not follow each other and Rezzy had sent her picture with Danny to me before she even posted it.
Our first major fight in the chat happened when I asked if anyone had a video of Danny from BTS of Top Gun Maverick. Rinie said she had it but immediately said she wasn't going to send it because it was "her's"
I was annoyed and confused and let her know it by sarcastically thanking everybody but her.
Rinie proceeded to call me a bitch and yell that she didn't have to share "her videos" if she didn't want it. She then goaded the chat by saying she had videos of Danny dancing but wouldn't be sending them.
The next day I assumed it would be a one time thing as Rinie asked for some pics I had and she sent some videos in return.
I was an idiot to assume that.
With Danny's role as Manny in the Last of Us incoming, I decided not to say what happens to Manny in the game as to not spoil anyone. Rinie immediately got mad and I offered to privately DM her so I could tell her there. She requested to follow me (I had removed her as a follower before) and then spent three hours refusing to accept my own request. I got frustrated and refused to tell her anything.
When the premiere finally aired, I found a picture of Manny on Twitter and sent it to the chat in excitement. Rinie however immediately complained about the quality and demanded high quality pics of Manny. I tried to explain to her it was all I had at the time and she had a crash out but actually apologized *after* I sent better pictures of Manny.
Episode two was the last time that there was any real peace. Manny had a lot of screentime in episode two and Rinie and I traded our Manny content. She had high quality videos of the episode and I had high quality pics.
Danny appeared in a cameo in episode three and Rinie assumed he'd be in episode four. I tried to explain to her that Danny was a guest actor and would probably not appear again until the finale and she yelled at me. When I did not have Manny content from episode four as he wasn't in it, she accused me of hoarding Manny stuff.
Hypocrite.
Now we get to the big moment. The moment that started all of this. Rinie boldly claimed that she was in constant contact with Danny and even claimed that she was going to date him. This later changed to her saying they were dating. I immediately called bullshit and asked @buckyytorres if Danny had ever reached out to anyone.
She told me that while Danny would respond to fans sometimes, he never reached out first. I called Rinie out further and asked for proof of her non-existent conversations.
She doubled and tripled down saying it was private. I then said that if she didn't give any proof, that I would screenshot what she was saying and tag Danny in stories about it. Rinie all but dared me as you can see in this
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Danny did in fact see it. Both times.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Rinie lost her fucking mind.
She spammed over and over again how much Danny said he hated us all and that we were immature and blah blah blah crazy.
At this point we were all done with her. She deleted her crazy shit and went silent. She wouldn't respond when we tagged her. She just kept quiet.
Part 2 coming in a bit

You know what? I’m going to respond to this after I’ve blocked you because it’s clear that you are not acting in good faith here at all, and none of this actually has to be explained to you, but for anyone who’s looking at this post and thinking “now why the hell does this look like you’re blatantly misrepresenting this kid’s character arc?” I’ll break it down slowly here.
I don't think Zuko has a particularly strong sense of justice, atleast by the show's start.
It doesn’t really matter what you think because the show itself disagrees and actively hints at Zuko’s internal sense of morality and justice very early on in season 1. There’s a reason Zhao is set up as the main villain of the first book and Zuko is in more direct and violent conflict with him than he is with the main trio. Zuko and Zhao both have Aang in their custody at some point in the season and the way Aang is treated under Zuko versus Zhao is like a pretty explicit parallel because of how different it is. It’s why Zuko starts the season attacking the Southern Water Tribe and then retreating with Aang, having not actually hurt anyone while Zhao ends the season wanting to destroy the Water Tribe, as he likes hurting people. And guess who Zhao has to fight in the end? Zuko. All of this is written that way because it fleshes out how fundamentally different Zuko is from Zhao (the season 1 representation of all the worst parts of the Fire Nation).
Maybe you could argue the scene with his dad in the flashback but I don't think "murdering 'innocents' is bad" is a particularly strong stance. (Not that they're innocent they'll still violently colonising the EK but they didn't sign up to be sacrifices, so boohoo for them i guess).
So, I really dgaf about these soldiers either, for the same reasons, but 13 year old Zuko (who has been indoctrinated by propaganda since literally birth) standing up to all those generals during his first war council for something that he believed was morally despicable, that everyone else was perfectly fine with, is a pretty definitive strong sense of justice that the audience is supposed to understand as well. It’s aimed at the wrong things because he hasn’t been taught anything else, but it’s very much showing exactly how Zuko will not turn his back when he thinks injustice is happening.
His moral compass points in the direction of his own self interests
Well, no. Because if this were true, he would’ve shut his little ass up in that war room instead of opening his mouth to speak up for people nobody else gaf about. He would’ve threatened to torture or actually tortured Katara when he captured her in season 1 to get information about Aang (like Zhao would’ve done). He would’ve let his men die in that storm because finding the Avatar is in his self interest. He would’ve just stayed in the Fire Nation after he went back because fighting in a war against the rest of his family and giving up his claim to the throne is certainly not in his own self interests.
and his character development is basically just him discovering that he benefits more from being good than bad.
Mmmh. The first time he displayed empathy for Fire Nation soldiers, he got half his face burned off but his father and banished to find the Big Foot of the world basically. That was pretty much the moment he decided he had to push down all the things that made him good because he really actually didn’t benefit from it at all. His character development actually had to do with him understanding that the benefits of him being bad (being the Crown Prince of the Fire Nation and having his father’s “love”) was not something to strive for at all actually. He actually realized he’d rather be the Avatar’s prisoner (you know, significantly less beneficial to him than being a Fire Nation Prince) and a good person. Zuko stood to gain the most by staying loyal to the Fire Nation and he still switched allegiances, believing wholeheartedly that he would loose his crown and his family. Because despite actually being positioned to benefit the most from being a bad person, he didn’t want to be that. And he would rather lose all those benefits than continue being bad.
He never properly reflects or shows remorse for specific actions he just stops actively doing bad things an expects awards.
Katara, Aang, and Sokka all explicitly call out their grievances with Zuko and he apologizes and expresses that he wants to make it up to them in anyway he possibly can. He doesn’t expect rewards for “not doing bad things”, he actually says multiple times that he feels like he doesn’t deserve their kindness. He not only actively stops doing bad things, he does a lot of fucking good things. Teaching Aang firebending so that he can defeat his father, breaking prisoners of war out of a maximum security detention center (with great risk to himself), and tracking down a genocidal Fire Nation soldier to ensure justice is served (again, at great personal risk). At no point while he was doing these things did he believe himself to be worthy or deserving of “rewards” from anyone. He did this stuff because he knew it was the right thing to do.
And virtually every parallel between Katara and Zuko is cherry-picked and not unique to them.
Oh brother. What do we have here? Shocker! A ZK anti who misrepresents Zuko’s character and narrative arc and also his pretty fucking blatant parallels with Katara.
Justice? Aang, Jet, and Hama all have arcs about justice.
Well, considering that Aang’s arc is nerfed half way through its development, and also that he never actually confronts the depths of his grief and anger to understand how to get justice … this is a moot point.
Jet and Hama are both literally thrown away as characters and never given the respect they deserved from the narrative. The way “justice” was explored through them was absolutely disgusting.
You really can’t compare that to Zuko and Katara who had long standing arcs surrounding justice, which much of their characters core values are based on.
Dead/missing mom? Sokka, Azula, Yue, arguably Ty Lee.
I have to laugh. Like I just cannot believe we’re doing this. But okay.
I’m not even going to entertain the Yue and Ty Lee of this because you literally can’t be serious. Two side characters with minimal development in any aspect sharing one of the most common tropes in fantasy of “dead/missing mother” does not a parallel make.
Sokka’s dead mother is Katara’s dead mother. That’s not a parallel. They’re siblings. Their pain about their mother being killed is also very different because it was the defining moment of Katara’s life, it marked the start of her trauma with the Fire Nation and her subsequent parentification as a mother TO SOKKA. For Sokka, it was, of course heartbreaking, but it didn’t shape him like it did his sister. Which is why the Southern Raiders is about Katara facing the man who took her mother away from her.
Azula is Zuko and Katara’s foil. She is everything that Zuko could’ve been and everything that Katara isn’t. That’s like her function in the story as a character. So, notably, she also has a very different relationship and arc to her mother’s disappearance than Katara does to her mother’s death.
But, you know which other main character whose dead/missing mother marked the start of his trauma with the Fire Nation and shaped him as a person? Who had an episode also dedicated to facing the man who took her away from him?
Right.
All parallels aren’t made equal. Katara may have parallels about her dead mother with others but it’s never treated like this. She never connects with another main character over the death of her mother other than Zuko. She doesn’t confide in her most painful memories of losing her mother with anyone but Zuko. She takes Zuko on her very personal journey to enact justice on her mother’s killer. Hmmm, I wonder why that may be?
Prodigy? Zuko's not a prodigy but also Aang, Azula, Toph.
So, Katara also isn’t a prodigy. You know, she has this whole arc in the first season where waterbending doesn’t come easy to her and she’s trying to find a master to help her learn. Even when she finds a master, she has to fight to make him teach her. And only through her own hard work and perseverance is she able to truly master waterbending, not because she was born naturally gifted. Which is something Zuko himself notes. He puts them on equal ground and then immediately after that compared Aang to Azula. So, this example really isn’t working for you.
Rudeness? Toph, Azula, Mai, Ty Lee.
Again, Mai and Ty Lee are side characters with very little development so please never try and put them in the same category as Katara. It’s insulting, really.
I also don’t know if you can say “rudeness” is a parallel lmao. It’s a trait that almost every single character displays because it’s part of the human experience. It’s like saying happiness is a parallel.
Zuko and Katara have no unique parallels, no unique dynamic, they have nothing.
Well, this is just copium. They’re literally the yin and yang of the show and they’ve got a relationship arc that spans all of the seasons, culminating in the series finale with him taking a bolt of lightning to the chest for her and her healing him with the power of love.
Zuko and Katara having a strong sense of justice

Lucifer laughed and wiped his eyes: S-She didn't say that!
Adam: Oh. Trust me, little man. She fucking did. The fucking nerve on these bitches, I tell ya. "Emotionally unavailable", pft. So what if I want my own space- she should have been fucking honoured that I gave her a second fuck! Bitches are usually clawing my door down to get another dicking down, but no. This cunt had the nerve to try and give me a fucking diagnosis for my bullshit!
The King laughed, and cut another piece of bacon and eggs: You can't diagnose a 10,000+ year old soul. No way.
Adam: Oh, easy. You're a depressed bastard. What you were meant to say was, "you can't diagnose a 10,000+ year old soul whose-" and I quote- "too hot for that shit."
The king almost chocked on his food but quickly managed to swallow it. His his mouth was clear, he laughed and rubbed his temple.
Lucifer: You are NOT too hot for it, Adam. Everyone deserves to talk to someone-.
Adam: Deserving isn't the issue, it's the fact that no one else needs to know other people's shit. It's your shit, there's no reason that you can't deal with your shit. Just... I don't know, grow some balls.
Lucifer: ...And, what is your version of "dealing with it"?
Adam smirked: Fucking and getting fucked. Those fucking Seraphims said to only fuck when you want to procreate- so as an extra plus, I get to piss them the fuck off~. While getting the fuck off. It's a win win!
Lucifer: I- wait. The Seraphim's actually get annoyed at you about sleeping with people?
Adam: Oh yeah. 100%. Why do you think I post horny photos on my Heavengram~? Gets people going- and like I said before, most of them come fucking knocking~.
Lucifer couldn't help but roll his eyes: Oh, I'm sure... and, how did this whole thing with Raph start?
Adam shrugged: He's a big fucker. In more ways than one~. And if there's anything you should know about me- it's that I love fucking souls bigger than me~. Which, his fucking hard to find, by the way.
Lucifer: I- too much information, Adam.
If only the first man knew how much Lucifer would wreck him.
Lucifer: What I meant was, how did you two... y'know...
Adam: Oh! Right. Sexy question, I like it~. He came to one of my shows. He was drunk, I was fucking drunk, and whenever a crowd of winners see an archangel, they part like the Red fucking Sea... Gabriel's a nice fuck. He's all about that... foreplay shit you went on about. Small cock though. Still fucked him, but there's a reason I didn't go back for a second round.
Lucifer: G-Gabriel?! Fucks sake...
Adam: Don't rven get me started on Uriel-!
Lucifer: YOU FUCKED MY SISTER?!
Adam smirked: Aw, hit a nerve, babe? Don't worry, I treated her real well~. She was one of my first fucks up here. She felt so bad for me after what you, Lilith and Eve did that she sat on my face. Y'know, shes out on a bit of weight to- and fuuuck, I feel like I'm fucking suffocating when she sits down~. Fucking hot shit, man... hey! Why don't I invite them all round for dinner, then you lot could catch up!
Hell's Missing the Devil
@beef-brisket
Lucifer wasn't sure if he had heard Sera correctly but the serious tone and look on her face told him that yes she was in fact serious.
Lucifer: I'm sorry.... What?
Sera sighed, she sounded annoyed: We will put an end to the Exterminations and in exchange you will be up in Heaven as a prisoner.
That..... Didn't sound ideal.
But neither were the Exterminations.
He didn't understand, wasn't the whole point of him falling so that he would never see Heaven again? Didn't that defeat the purpose?
Unless...... There was more to it.
Sera: Think about it. Come back here tomorrow when you've made your choice. Make the right choice for once.
He scowled when she left. What a bitch.
Lucifer did think about it and that's when it dawned on him.
With Lilith gone and now Lucifer, Charlie would have to step up and rule Hell. Which meant that she wouldn't have time to run her hotel.
It was underhanded and sneaky..... It was so Heaven.
But by doing this....... He would be saving his daughter too. He didn't trust them not to go after her one day.
Charlie: Dad you can't.
Lucifer: Sweetie, I..... I know this isn't ideal but it's for a greater good.
Charlie teared up: What am I supposed to do without you!?
It was different when he was just holed up in the manor, at least she knew he was safe at home.
But in Heaven? Lucifer was considered a traitor. Who knows what they would do to him.
Lucifer hugged his baby girl tight: Y-you'll be okay...... I love you.
Charlie: ...... I love you too.
She didn't want to let him go. There had to be a way to bring him home.
The next day, Lucifer went to the embassy where Sera was waiting.
Sera: So?
Lucifer sighed, this felt like a mistake but he didn't know what else to do to keep Charlie and their people safe.
Lucifer: Alright.......
Sera: Good.
She snapped her fingers and a pair of silver bracelets appeared on his wrists and Lucifer suddenly felt very drained. They must be blocking his powers.
With another snap, handcuffs with a chain appeared as well, Lucifer walked with his head down through the portal with Sera.
He would have laughed when he heard Peter freaking out. But any amusement left him when Sera said who he would be staying with.
Sera: You'll be under Adam's watch.
It felt ironic in a way.
Lucifer felt like he had been handed a death sentence as Sera handed his chain over to the first man.

I really desperately (and I mean desperately) wanted Bronwyn as witch-king all throughout s1, so kudos on making it Eärien.
I can't take credit for the idea, only for the fic! 😂
I would be incredibly down with antis not doing the buzzwords thing when it comes to haladriel, so yeah. Let’s make this happen.
I've been saying this since the very beginning. But I feel the need to add a bit of context. (This will be long, but it needs to be written down for posterity.)
I was part of the trop fandom since before the show aired. Haladriel was already a thing during s1, and besides some hate (even though, I don't like using that word for trivial things) from incels, the fandom was really cool. We were all united against them, even if they would attack the shippers/ship.
Around S2, something changed. Suddenly, there were a lot of posts addressing not incels or antis, but everyone in the fandom who didn't share op(s) opinions, that said a lot awful (and frankly out of context because we are talking about dolls here) things. And the situation escalated pretty quickly because after episode 7 of season 2, they began to attack fans in their own lane for expressing different opinions. And it got so bad that a lot of shippers were scared to share their thoughts.
And I know many people actually believe what they're writing. Hell, I agree with some of it. But too often in every fandom, I see fans use big words not just to give themselves a tone, but also to prevent other people from speaking up. Because who wants to be accused of being anti-feminist or whatever (in the best-case scenario)?
Because you can't make a post on Tumblr, tag the show and write a 5000-word essay about how you're so smart and cool, a real feminist, and blablabla while others are ignorant misogynists who hate women, and then act surprised if fans get pissed.
And this is how this whole thing started. And since then, there was an escalation of feminism this, feminist that, you hate women, no, you hate women (with a lot of attacks towards my boy Celeborn and his fans tbf). Which I think is exactly what people who actually hate women want.
And also the constant demands, and this idea that just because YOU like something, then screw everybody else, that thing need to happen on screen. I'm sorry, but I grew up considering a TV show a shared experience, and I would never force others to be subjected to something I like but they don't, especially when it goes against the story's integrity.
I don't know about others, but I'm very chill. I don't consider people who don't like my ships (and express it) or even the show, antis or haters, because at the end of the day, we are talking about unserious matters.
Personally, I like Haladriel, and I've been shipping them since the very beginning. But I don't like this herd mentality. I like to think with my own head, and I don't care whether or not I'm part of the popular group. If there is something I don't agree with, I speak up. I never offend, not even when I'm provoked. And I never get personal. Never.
I'm always open to discussion. Actually, I love them when they are productive and done right.

"I find it necessary for Sauron to demand Galadriel in exchange for a ceasefire in a hypothetical siege of Imladris in S3. Gil Galad and Elrond would object, but Galadriel would give herself up on her own, and Sauron would try to seduce her in his camp tent, forcibly kissing her, and she would punch him splitting his lip. And if Sauron then displays her as a trophy and that turns out to be the first time Celeborn has seen his wife in years, I will be satisfied."

throughout the series of drake and josh it pretty consistently implies that josh nichols is a christian (josh peck is jewish) and in the finale of the series helen (played by yvette nicole brown, not jewish[?]) is portrayed as a practicing jew
#i dont have a problem w either of those things necessarily i just find it interesting#if i had to guess. drake and josh was a mainstream that didnt wanna touch on religion generally#but josh was kind of a dork and usually when josh's religious beliefs are implied it is in dorkish ways#such as praying and thanking the lord after he has his first kiss.#but since dan schneider is jewish perhaps he wanted to make helen have a jewish wedding in the finale?#not that there needs to be a reason. but u do notice occasional jewish-related jokes in d&j but none of them are what you could call#offensive. in good faith that is. 'eric is a pacifist' 'i thought he was jewish?' like come on#text post#i have been rewatching drake and josh recently and i have had so many thoughts#im almost done. i just have left that stupid dance episode that they premiered last for the stupid reason#of a special dance-themed premiere night in fall 2007. they premiered the third episode of icarly and a new zoey 101 on the same night#which i think is so stupid. they should've aired really big shrimp last. it messed w my understanding of the series at the time lol#i remember not really knowing that the show was ENDING. like i knew icarly was starting & miranda was doing that#i thought really big shrimp was like just another special like go hollywood.#and then like two days later they premiered the helicopter episode for some reason#and i was like why is drake not famous in this. he just had a number 1 song in a superbowl commercial#and then a month later the dance one. which. if anything is satisfying about that as a final episode it's just that#that unnamed girl from the blues brothers episode who is obsessed w drake shows up again and congratulates them#and the very final line of the series is 'who is she?' because. because really who IS she?#that's a funny enough throwback to wrap things up with i suppose#drake and josh wasn't a highly serialized show so i can see how they could air those after the intended finale and act like it didn't matte#but i have to tell you it did fuck with my brain a bit at the time. lol. i still think of those episodes as having 'happened' after#and on paramount plus those episodes are still placed after really big shrimp. the injustice#but thats kinda messy. what a weird way to end such an influential and popular sitcom#season 4 had a few lowpoints while still also having some VERY solid episodes.#idk. ill have to continue my series review another time im getting way too longwinded here#helen dubois is jewish

// Hello again! As you might recall, I've been meaning to make a new blog for Cayin's Elden Ring verse in hopes of better exploring its themes and aesthetics without diluting those of Cayin's main verse.
I wanted to take this soft "reset" as a chance to overhaul the presentation, make a blog that looks thematic, something that drives home some of the topics covered with just a look. Alas! As excited as I was to implement all these ideas, I've been struggling with motivation and focus for long enough to realize that I can't match my old expectations.
I've also come to the conclusion that if I wait until I'm satisfied with the blog (until it feels "complete" if you will) and continue to let my writing grow rusty and miss opportunities to write with my friends, I might very well never return to the hobby in this form.
With that in mind, I've decided to launch the new blog as a WIP. It's not going to be as fancy as I wanted, but I'm not waiting any longer to write! This isn't a decision I've made lightly as I'm very reluctant to make my work public when it's in an early state. I hate it!
But having made a lot of progress enjoying other creative outlets of mine, and having been unable to be a consistent writer for a little longer than... two years?? I think that taking the plunge is my best chance of solving this.
Now, this might feel a little strange to say so explicitly, but I want to make the following as clear as I can:
If you like Cayin but aren't interested in his Elden Ring version, there's no need to follow the blog. I understand the setting's not for everyone and you're free to enjoy this blog (yeleltaan) without engaging with the other one.
Likewise, if you like Elden Ring and are interested in the ER verse, but don't feel that interest towards Cayin's main verse, it's also perfectly fair to follow the new blog and not follow this one.
For newcomers: I understand that a blog lacking a proper about page and other information isn't easy to get into. It's in the works and I hope to be able to make the blog more welcoming for everyone sooner than later. Until then, feel free to message me for a short introduction to the character, I'll be happy to give it.
It's going to be a slow process, and I'm not sure how effective this change of attitude will be, but I still think this is the best move I can take. I'll be linking the blog shortly!

for whom good omens is being written
Hey maggots and the rest of the fandom, it's the Good Omens Mascot here. Today I read a post about this tweet:
Tumblr media
The accompanying video genuinely made me cry. And I've been thinking about this for a long while, as far back as February, when I saw a lot of conflicting opinions on what people wanted from the third season. It really is true that no matter what you do, some people will be dissatisfied. But what matters is that Neil is writing this for Terry.
And I was reminded of some paragraphs from the Good Omens TV Companion, which I'd read in Amazon's sample excerpt of the book. I know this is a long post, but I really truly do think you all need to read these, I've done my best to select only the most important parts. Here you go:
'His Alzheimer's started progressing harder and faster than either of us had expected,' says Neil, referring to a period in which Terry recognized that despite everything he could no longer write. 'We had been friends for over thirty years, and during that time he had never asked me for anything. Then, out of the blue, I received an email from him with a special request. It read: “Listen, I know how busy you are. I know you don't have time to do this, but I want you to write the script for Good Omens. You are the only human being on this planet who has the passion, love and understanding for the old girl that I do. You have to do this for me so that I can see it." And I thought, “OK, if you put it like that then I'll do it."
'I had adapted my own work in the past, writing scripts for Death: The High Cost of Living and Sandman, but not a lot else was seen. I'd also written two episodes of Doctor Who, and so I felt like I knew what I was doing. Usually, having written something once I'd rather start something new, but having a very sick co-author saying I had to do this?' Neil spreads his hands as if the answer is clear to see. 'I had to step up to the plate.' A pause, then: 'All this took place in autumn 2014, around the time that the BBC radio adaptation of Good Omens was happening,' he continues, referring to the production scripted and co-directed by Dirk Maggs and starring Peter Serafinowicz and Mark Heap. ‘Terry had talked me into writing the TV adaptation, and I thought OK, I have a few years. Only I didn't have a few years,' he says. 'Terry was unconscious by December and dead by March.'
He pauses again. 'His passing took all of us by surprise,' Neil remembers. 'About a week later, I started writing, and it was very sad. The moments Terry felt closest to me were the moments I would get stuck during the writing process. In the old days, when we wrote the novel, I would send him what I'd done or phone him up. And he would say, "Aahh, the problem, Grasshopper, is in the way you phrase the question," and I would reply, "Just tell me what to do!" which somehow always started a conversation. 'In writing the script, there were times I'd really want to talk to Terry, and also places where I'd figure something out and do something really clever, and I would want to share it with him. So, instead, I would text Terry's former personal assistant, Rob Wilkins, now his representative on Earth. It was the nearest thing I had.'
(...) As Neil himself recognizes, this is an adaptation built upon the confidence that comes from three decades of writing for page and screen. But for all the wisdom of experience, he found that above all one factor guided him throughout the process. 'Terry isn't here, which leaves me as the guardian of the soul of the story,' he explains. 'It's funny because sometimes I found myself defending Terry's bits harder or more passionately than I would defend my own bits. Take Agnes Nutter,' he says, referring to what has become a key scene in the adaptation in which the seventeenth-century author of the book of prophecies foretelling the coming of the Antichrist is burned at the stake. ‘It was a huge, complicated and incredibly expensive shoot, with bonfires built and primed to explode as well as huge crowds in costume. It had to feel just like an English village in the 1640s, and of course everyone asked if there was a cheap way of doing it. 'One suggestion was that we could tell the story using old-fashioned woodcuts and have the narrator take us through what happened, but I just thought, “No”. Because I had brought aspects of the story like Crowley and the baby swap along to the mix, and Terry created Agnes Nutter. So, if I had cut out Agnes then I wouldn't be doing right by the person who gave me this job. Terry would've rolled over in his grave.'
And, finally, this paragraph:
"Once again, Neil cites the absence of his co-writer as his drive to ensure that Good Omens translated to the screen and remained true to the original vision. 'Terry's last request to me was to make this something he would be proud of. And so that has been my job.'"
I think that's so heartwrenchingly beautiful, and so I wanted you all to read this, too, just in case you (like me) don't have the Good Omens TV Companion. It adds another layer of depth and emotion to this already complex and amazing story that we all know and love.
Share this post, if you can, please, so that more people can read these excerpts :")
Tagging @neil-gaiman, @fuckyeahgoodomens and @orpiknight, even if you've definitely read these before :)

meowdy! looks like our move to a new apartment is not going to be so peaceful after all - our old apartment is currently leaking sewage water and we have to evacuate four people and two cats! donations are appreciated, but im opening an emergency sale + commissions too! (more under the cut)
KO-FI SHOP SALE + EMERGENCY COMMISSIONS ARE OPEN!
DISCOUNT CODE IS 'LEAK' IN ALL CAPS
so for this section, i'm going to break down everything thats happening + when things will come off hiatus! i'm hoping that everything will be set up in the new place by JUNE 1st, so that is the hard deadline i'm setting to start all functions up again as usual.
WHAT'S HAPPENING?
two years ago, my fiance and i were offered emergency housing when we (very suddenly and tragically) became the parents to his orphaned little sister. both of us are only 26 and had to move 8 hours from where we had been living at the time, so the housing we had was the best 2 people with few connections and no established jobs could find within a single weeks notice.
since then, we have been saving up and working to finally have a proper place to live. and we did so! at the beginning of this month we found an apartment where all of us can move to. we have a friend staying with us who is helping with the move as well.
i really wanted this move to be seamless - basically, you wouldn't have had to know it was happening. we were going to pay double rent for two months while i would stream and work from the old place, and begin sleeping at the new one. its expensive, but i didn't want my real life to trouble anyone here.
unfortunately this is no longer possible. the old building we were staying at had a pipe begin to leak, then eventually flood our entire apartment. this has been a reoccurring problem the landlord hasn't seemed to find a solution for, and it's led to a biohazard where we were planning on slowly moving from - leading to an immediate and emergency evacuation for the safety of everyone in our family.
SO... STREAMING?
will be back online as soon as possible! we moved out our tech as soon as we could due to fear of water damage, and it seems like everything is A-OK. we just need to rebuild my desk and sound proof the new room, so this will probaaabbly be back online within a week? im just going to take the week off to make sure everything is set up and there are no bugs. (digital. digital bugs.)
LAIKA'S COMET?
for the sake of not losing my buffer crazystyle, i'm pausing laika's until JUNE 1st. but i'm going to post one more page right now to leave you guys on a cliffhanger because i think it's funny. (the ko-fi will still update as regular as i finish pages! tbh, in between moving i am going to be drawing.... a LOT... it's like my only self soothing activity i have access to right now </3)
SHOP STUFF?
you basically won't notice a difference. orders go out every 2 weeks anyway, and literally the day before this happened we completely caught up to date. that + all of the goods we had were already moved over because (similar to the tech) we were worried about water damage, so nothing will be yucky... (i dont know if i can say the same about our furniture or clothes ; _ ; )
FINAL NOTES
while we did manage to get out with emergency bags and a weeks worth of outfits + things to sleep on + cook with, we have no real means of knowing the extent of damage until we bring things out of the apartment and clean them here. thankfully *most* things appear undamaged, its largely the flooring and the smell that are unliveable... walking through puddles of sewage water and having to wear a mask to breathe is not really liveable conditions.
however, considering this move is sped up way faster than planned, and i wont be able to work during it - any sales or donations are hugely appreciated. ; w ;
i'm sorry to ask for help like this, and its only if you are comfortable to do so!!! i can work hard, so i don't mind doing a little extra art to make money, this is just if you feel okay to help out and would like to.
if you read this far, thank you so much - hopefully next time i will return with good news - and maybe a new apartment tour...?
