Locked away in the Captain’s quarters of the Red Force, a place you’d found yourself in more and more. You were lying next to Shanks, both of you trying to catch your breath after fucking.

“Alright, where’s the bathroom,” you asked as soon as you had regained feeling in your legs.  Truthfully, you had to go before, but you’d figured sex was more important.

“How ya keep forgettin’?” He chuckled softly; it was a question that you’d asked every time you’d been there. “Got other things on my mind when ‘m here,” you responded cheekily getting out of bed. 

While he reiterated the directions, you were on the hunt for your clothes — you knew he’d thrown your underwear off somewhere. Giving up on the search, you threw on his oversized shirt and called it good enough. 

“Come back quick, I might get lonely,” Shanks said, reaching for the half drunk bottle at his bedside. You rolled your eyes at the theatrics, but were grinning nevertheless. “Lightening speed, Baby,” you said with a fake salute before leaving.

You were barely in the door before Shanks was on you, he must’ve heard you coming down the hallway. His had shut the door behind you before he walked you up against the wall, head dipping to your neck. 

“I knew you’d miss me, but didn’t think that much,” you teased with a giggle, a giggle that quickly devolved into a moan when he nipped at the crest of your ear, licking it afterwards. “You’re very missable,” he played along. His whisper into your ear send a shiver down your spine and you felt your body alight once more. 

“I know. Now, come ‘ere,” you said, grabbing his jaw and crashing his lips into yours. Shanks made a sound of appreciation at the action. As he was pulled down to meet your height, his forearm instinctively rested against the wall beside you. The taste of his mouth, which had grown familiar as of late, captivated your senses.

Wanting to pull him closer, you stood on your tip toes and grabbed the back of his neck. It seemed that he had other plans as quickly his lips broke from yours and started down the column of your neck. Your breathing hitched. 

Shanks stepped in closer and you realized the was still completely unclothed. Your arms fully encircled his neck, locking him into place. You pulled at his hair while he worked to draw out your gasps and moans.

“Ya make such pretty noises,” he whispered into your skin. His hips rolled against yours; his shirt had ridden up enough that the contact was skin on skin. The man knew how to get you worked up, it was like he’d read the manual on your body that you hadn’t known existed. “Yeah, baby, just like that.”

Shanks grabbed onto your thigh, wordlessly instructing you to wrap your leg around his hip, you lightly hopped up to comply. He caught you in midair, further pressing you into the wall. Your other leg hooked around his calf, leaving you fully off the floor, relying solely on him to keep you from falling, something you hadn’t known would excite you so much.

“’S like ya ready my mind,” the redhead said, moving his grip to the flesh of your ass.  “What can I say? ‘M very talented,” your words breathy as you spoke. Shanks pulled back from your neck to look at you and in real time you witnessed his eyes darken even further. “I’ll say.” He returned to your throat, coloring marks that wouldn’t last while grinding painfully slow against you. It wasn’t enough. Tugging at his hair, you let out a whine of discontent. You wanted — no, needed more. 

“Whatcha want, Doll?” You could hear the smugness in his voice, he knew exactly what he was doing to you. The words took a moment to come to you, but when they did, they were annoyed. “Damnit Shanks. You know what I want.” With your back literally pressed up against the wall, there wasn’t too much you could do other than ask.

“Mmhmmm,” he confirmed, the sound buzzing against your skin. “But what if I wanna hear you say it?”

“You’re so greedy,” you grumbled, but you caved. Fast. Embarrassingly fast. All it had taken was a simple movement of his hand. His calloused fingers gliding under the shirt and over your body had you weak. “You! I want you!” As if to punctuate your point, you tugged the hair at the base of his skull, drawing a light groan from him.

“Gonna stay up there?” Shanks questioned, referencing your precarious position entirely off the ground. In response you wrapped your arms tighter around his neck. “Long as you don’t drop me,” you teased, voice unsteady. “Wouldn’t dream of it,” he grinned at you. He pressed you further into the wall, undoubtedly enough for the grain of the wood to imprint onto your back, before removing his hand from you.

Shanks took his time aligning his cock with your entrance, thoroughly coating himself with your arousal, but you were sure he was just toying with you. When he finally pushed himself in, you quickly sank down to join him, writing off the sting his size brought . "Fucking finally," you gasped. "And 'ere I thought I was the greedy one," he commented, his hand finding your ass. He was right, you were greedy, but you didn't care now that you had what you wanted.

As he picked up speed, your fingers dispersed down his strong back, scratching at it like it would bring him closer. Shanks's grip on your ass tightened, almost certainly leaving bruises where his fingertips dug into your flesh.

In his, you purred out something about how good he felt. A throaty moan rung out right beside you and you came undone on the spot, clenching violently around him with a loud cry.

"Fu-u-ck." His broken whisper sounded like a hymn to your dazed brain. "Where'd ya want me?" His question cut through the haze and an idea came to mind.

"Gimme a sec." As requested, Shanks stilled inside of you, buried to the hilt. "You're not making this easy," you chuckled. The feeling of him was overwhelming in the best ways possible. "Now where's the fun in that?" He questioned placing a kiss on the corner of your mouth that dragged down to the skin of your exposed collarbones.

“Alright, Handsome/Captain, set me down.” Shanks listened very eagerly, hoping he knew where this was going. Your legs shook on the ground, but that was only, you hadn’t been planning to stand anyway. You turned [Shanks] around so that he was against the wall and dropped to your knees. Shanks’ eyes lit up in delight; this was his favorite (or one of, the man loves to eat).

You licked your lips in anticipation. Shans swept back the strands of your hair that framed your face. God, you were beautiful. Nothing beat this view.

Looking him dead in the eyes, you gave a gentle kiss to the head of his cock before licking him clean of you, your tongue toying with the view on the underside. With a swirl of your tongue around the tip, you slowly took him in your mouth, hollowing your cheeks, your hand covering what you could not yet reach. Shanks wove his hand deeper into your hair. “Can I?” He asked. The pained look on his face told you all you needed to know, he wanted to fuck your throat. You nodded in response, or as well as you could in the position. With your permission he chased after his high. 

Tears poked at the corners of your eyes, spilling out as you reigned in your gag reflex. Your struggle only spurred you on. You swallowed around him and Shanks could barely hold back. A stream of expletives combined with nonsensical praises escaped his mouth. You would smile if you could. Witnessing a powerful man come undone for you, did wonders for your ego.

It didn’t take much longer to have him coming down the back of your throat, it was violent enough that you’d missed the taste of him entirely. One he rode through the orgasm he pulled back and you opened your mouth to reveal that you had swallowed. The next second you were pulled back on your feet and Shanks was kissing you deeply. Cherik Apocalypse AU

OKAY SO. Zombies in this au operate in an evolving and hivemind based infection (Not Fungus). HOWEVER the infection originated with a mutant ability in the world that got out of hand. So in the few remaining survivors, mutants are getting killed on sight or thrown out of survivor camps.

So. The Cast of this au in my head.

Charles (30). Getting his PhD in Genetics when the infection broke out. Currently traveling with Raven and trying to find mutant survivors. (BTW he can walk, No Erik = No Bullet)

Erik (33). Okay idrk what he was doing b4 the infection. Probably working mutant liberation. However! After infection he went through a lot to get his kids (Wanda and Peter). In this he discovers that Wanda is imune to the infection.

Raven (27). Living with Charles and working as a model before in infection in this AU. Now just wants to find and help as many mutants as possible.

Wanda (11). Preteen girl who lived w/ Magda before the infection came and Erik saved her. Imune to the virus. Wants to get the the research centers down south.

Peter (11). Preteen boy same as Wanda. He is theoretically immune to the infection, being twins and all, except they dont know what exactly makes Wanda immune and they aren't keen on testing it. He is frustrated with everything and wants normal back.

Alex (21) Fresh out of jail, fun side effect of a zombie apocalypse is all the prison guards go home. Immediately got Scott and set out. Trying to keep himself and his brother safe.

Scott (14) Happy to have his big brother back! Confused but going with it. Quite the trooper, probably the most well behaved of the kids but also the oldest so yeah.

Logan (???). Girl it's wolverine this is only the third weirdest thing to happen to him. However, he actually cares about living right now because he's somehow managed caring for Jubilee and Kitty. He wants to get them safe, so he's headed south and just hoping.

Kurt (24). Logan's traveling buddy. Was still working in circuses before the infection. Instantly agreed to pack a bag and get moving when first word broke. Now helping in their task to get the girls safe.

Jubilee (5) and Kitty (7). Lumping them together so this post isnt so insane. These two kids were cast out of a survivors group for being mutant and picked up by Logan.

Jean (15). Traveling Alone. PLOT TWIST: Mutant expirimentation on her caused her to freak out and alter someones brain to badly that (mixed with some fucked up biochemistry) created the zombie virus. She's desperately trying to find someone who will help her fix this but is worried that telling anyone will get her killed.

Thats Main Gang TM in my mind. The ones doing all the traveling and eventually crossing paths. Some other group

The Southern Research Facility. Moira and Hank + random scientists. Not important til like the end of all this with the dramas and all that.

First Class. Angel, Darwin and Sean + Other mutants. A small traveling group making camp somwhere around like, Kansas ish. Act as the converging point for the groups as they are a known mutant friendly outpost that is small but open to trade and help.

The Brotherhood. Emma, Azazel, and Toad among others. A group that is Pro Infection and thinks that it will kill all humans so mutants can reign supreme. AFTER the child they hear is a cure.

Okay now for what actually happens. RQ. Alex+Scott originate from like Michigan or Wisconsin. Charles and Raven from New York. Erik and Co. from Washington and Logan and Co. from Canada.

Charles and Raven pretty quickly pick up Alex and Scott when everything starts going down and they become a merry little band that will also pick up Jean. their journey includes a lot more encounters with outside forces and struggles with other survivor groups.

Logan and Kurt stumble into Erik near the begining too and after a quick fight they reluctantly agree to work together. Their journey is dealing with other survivors but also a lot of wrangling four children who are not even teenagers yet.

They converge in Kansas! Meeting up with FC who give them directions to the research base. This is the actual start of Cherik (making yall wait for it IK). Alex and Scott stay with FC but Scott makes Jean promise to come back. The journey there together is mostly personal conflicts and the whole 'Jean caused the Apocalypse btw + we are being actively hunted by a teleporter and a mind reader' thing.

During the traveling they deal with a rly bad swarm and Raven sacrafices herself for them to get out of it. Depression arc! Much hurt/comfort here. Big Cherik leaps made.

When they Get to the facility they are like 'oh yeah Wanda would be super helpful can we cut her skull open?' and Erik gets reasonably angry.

No fear, PETER IS HERE. As a twin he has the same DNA mostly besides mutation. (They arent identical but work w/ me here). He agrees to let the doctors look at him without Erik knowing. Erik gets reasonably angry. Peter ends up not providing anything helpful but they are able to look at his DNA WITHOUT cutting anyone open and find the dyscrepency between the not-exactly identical twins

This is how we discover that the thing that makes them both immune is a genetic glitch carried by the X gene Wanda posesses. Through the amazing world of BioTech they are able to make a serum that will alter peoples genetics to contain the glitch.

Woohoo! Right? EXCEPT the Brotherhood is still totally after Wanda and Jean by this point so they've gotta start schmoving again.

Logan, Kurt and their girls stay back at the research center, not wanting the children to be in more danger. The remainder of the group starts trecking back towards FC when they are intercepted by the brotherhood. Confrontation, Fighting, and Charles getting REALLY MAD happens and the gays come out on top. Cherik love CONFIRMED. The story ending with them walking off into the sunset together, the kids running ahead as FC comes back into view.

UH YEAH! I know the science is actual BS but so it mutants in general so shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. For this just note that Kurt and Raven are #NOTRELATED cuz I ain't justifying their ages.

This would be so fun to write but I'd want it to be so detailed so it'd take FOREVER. Want the dynamics of everyone to be fleshed out. Cherik being THEM. Kurt and Logan being lovers who have stood the test of A LOT leading up to this. Alex being a protective older sibling. Jeans panic, Wanda and Peters closeness and fear of the world, and the girls being patches of joy in a bleak world. not even gonna get into characterization and stuff this is long enough.

I rly hope I explained this half decently. I wrote it at 1 am! Hope you like mayhaps. Maybe I'll write this if enough people are interested. Wanna hear more? Maybe later its bed time

Connections, parallels, contrasts and Patterns in Miraculous Ladybug.

The thought I have decided to chew on today is that miraculous ladybug doesn't give alot of characters time to shine and develope on the surface....alot of characters deal with a lack of screen time and even when characters do get screen time they can seem to contradic or repeat aspects we already know.

But I was thinking about a essay I had written a while back about color theroy and how it can be used to get across information or a idea very quickly...having the audience fill in the blanks. It had been about Barbie and the 12 dancing princesses and how with so many characters most of them didn't really have a way to stand out much especially with the limited animation and not having much screen time....heck even the basics of their personalities don't get shown that often....but I had noticed that the colors each princesses had was a slight shorthand for what we shoukd associate with them.

The two sporty sisters seemed to have green and brown fir nature for example from what i remember. The bookish older one wore a darker blue which showed she was more mature and intelligent ect ect. I probably posted it on here somewhere and forgot about it but you get the gist. Rather than just color theroy it made me think about how despite the little screen time they trued to get across personality of aspects of what each girl was like and what she wasn't like with the colors each girl wore that helped echo their gimmick. And hkw that helped give a boost to maje them more individual despite it nkt actually giving them more scenes to flesh them out...and how contrasting them with eachother had those minimal scenes of personality stick out better.

My point isn't really about color theory right now, so much as how little things are comparing them to others can help develop characters with limited screen time. What do the similarities tell us? What do the contrasts? What dpes this dynamic that has parallels with another dynamic say? Ect ect.

So I've decided to try to list of comparisons and contrasts and what it might be trying to tell us about characters, dynamics and themes through the show since we might have alot of episodes but because everything can seem a bit....stagnant? Repetitive? I feel like maybe I can gleen more info from the patterns that repeat.

If anyone has others add them in the notes or add it in a reblog and what you think it might mean or say about other characters or themes.

Has anyone ever noticed that the bubbler episode could feel like symbolism with Gabriel and Emilie? Bubbler is Nino who had wanted to throw adrien a party abd tried to ask reasonably but was kicked out....Nino had felt it wss unfair and despite his sincere intentions to throw Adrien a party....Nino agreed to the hawkmkth powers due to his negative emotions clouding his judgment to get wgat he wanted(something reasonable for someone he cares about who has low exoectations) where he trapped everyone who was a adult in bubbles and made people go to a party nino set up...a party that Adrien DID want yet had expected would be denied from the begining and he had told Nino not to try. Metaphorically Gabriel being bubbler who thinks its unfair that Emilie doesn't get to live so tries to solve it but gets his intentions twisted by the power where he doesn't see he is getting innocents involved and that Emilie might have wanted to live but didn't want others stuck in this situation...like all the akuma attacks or the world destroyed and recreated with her being okay....just saying tge adults trapped in bubbles while the kids are stuck in a party and nino thinking it was fir the best....just saying after seeing Emilie parents....especually the dad....it kind of feels like something.

Rose and her sickness where the only one who knew was Julieta where Julieta had to keep it a secert becayse rose didn't want people to treat her differently or pity her and how it ate awary at Julieka thinking her best friend(potential girlfriend?) might due ir faje a turn fir the worst and how Julia had fekt comfortable when adrien and mari listened even if mari getting others involved to help was a blessing and a curse since shevdidnt Havertown deal with it alone anymore....but they honestly couldn't act natural around rose so rose got upset and Julieta felt guilty.

And how technically adrien's mom got sick from the use of the peacock and it was technically kept quiet about. No one outside of the family knew and no one officially talked to adrien about it. They tried to hide the sickness from adrien. So adrien had to deal with what he suspected by himself unable to bring it up to anyone.....but another angle is Gabriel tried to fix the situation by himself as the guardians weren't around to ask for help and felt helpless to help Emilie just as Julieka felt helpless when it came to rose and how there was nothing julieka could do about it. And how rose just didn't want to mane a big deal about it and ve treated like glass...but by trying go make juljeka keept it a secert that unintentionally put alot of pressure on julieka to pretend like things are fine while they are not. And I am nlt jyst saying that finding out gabriel had a punk phase during his youth. Majes you wonder if a slightly similar situation was happening with the mom. She wanted to enjoy what time she has left but that pit pressure on gabriel to be fine even thoigh he just wanted Emilie to be healthy. But could also echo nathalie.

There are strong parallels between marinette and nino and alya and adrien that don't get brought up alot. Nino when he first had a crush on mari he hid, stumbled over his words, back tracked and would blurt out stuff or even the opposite of what he means due to his nerves just like Marinette does with her crush on adrien. He actually went to adrien for advice even though adrien was homeschooling abd whose only friend was chloe and adrien did have solid advice about just talking to mari and being yourself just as alya would advise mari to just talk to adrien and be herself.

Both Aliya and Adrien tried to wingman their bestues into a zoo hang out and were talking to the ither through a ear piece while hiding in bushes as support and feeding the other lines even though mari and nino would self sabotage out of stress. Nino strait up said he liked alya to nari despite mari being his crush and just needing to repeat what adrien says just like mari would often sabotage herself around adrien despite Alta and the girls setting to stage. Alya said she viewed nino as just a friend just like adrirn calls mari a friend and yet ended up dating nino by the end of the episode just as adrien is now dating mari. Nino lied about liking alya at first just like mari said she liked chat in weredad. Both mari and nino come up with plans with code names. Mari had flower code names for operation flower garden while nino had sauce code names. Both mari and nino are creative as he has his music abd mari has her fashion/art. Not to mention nino sensed or was out of character for adrien to send that message when feljx first appeared just like mari senses it while Alya wanted to go full punishment mode kind of like how adrien reacted to finding out Kim had traumatized mari.

Both nino and mari came up with elaborate sneaking around costumes and jump to conclusions based on circumstantial evidence and get really jealous and let that color their view(looking at you rockatear) and ignored advice depending on circumstances. Mari gets jealous more often but both nino and mari jump to conclusions abd worry someone cooler can appear and mkst impprtsntly...bkth are usually wrong about the assumption of whats happening.

Nino became a hero to help alya...not neesacarily because he wanted to be a hero just as mari was reluctant to be a hero but was inspired by alya being in danger(mari was also inspired seeing akya stand up to chloe just as nino admired that adrien stood up to chloe during the gum incident as soon as he understood what chloe was doing despite chloe being his only friend). I know people often see alya as the ladybug and nino as the chat noir(especially after alya became scarabella and I think plagg mentioned wanting to choose nino as a backup) and since alga is mari's best friend while nino is adrien's best friend.....but I think there is something to be said with how nino is more similar to marinette and alya is similar to adrien.

Both adrien and alya are excited to be super heros from the get-go. Excited to come up with names and had transformation poses at the ready from the beginning. Both alya and adrien call out chloe immediately in the origin episode. It took both alya and chat to encourage mari fkr her to cone back out as ladybug. Bkth chat abd alya know how to flirt and be confudent about it. Both were interested in ladybugs identity. Both are besties with marinette. Bkth encourage mari. Both are fairly straitfirward about their romantic feelings. Both have sarcastic kwamis. Both asrien and alya are emotional support fkr marinette/ladybug. The few times chat abd alya get to interact they have fun banter and blth have to deal with their respective best friends jumping yo conclusions and brushing past their advice. Both can be a bit reckless with themselves and are pretty confident in themselves most of the time. Both have figured out nari's identity and in that vein akya figured out nino just as adrien has figured out mari before. Abd when akha faltered and got too ahead kf herself in scarabella he was a great support to alya as chat so she would have faith in herself again while alya woukd vouch for mari to talk to chat or adrien when akya gekt there was something bothering chat or most recently about the secerts mari has been keeping about his dad.

Alya and adrien also both almost fell fir the chloe is ladybug lie and are the new kids in the class.

Julieka is more pessimistic with black hair like mari while rose is positive and blonde like adrien. Rose as Pigella had pigtails like mari while Julieka is the tiger like chat(plus wants to be a model). Plus had dad issues like adrien with a slightly complicated family dynamic with a mom, a dad and the dad's girlfriend who is a assistant could is you squint abd turn you head remind you of Emilie, gabriel and nathalie.

The mom being jagged original guitar player in the band and him avoiding facing his kids til luka as truth popped that bubble becahse he hates hard talks involving himself...would make you think how chat is ladybugs original partner who keeps being left behind or in most cases leaves ladybug hinself when ge thinks he isnt being treated properly(siren, catwalker) or when he thinks she can do better(new york special, catwalker). But also how the mom kept the information about the dad from julieka and luka for years like how gabriel js keeping info.

This post is a result of a note that has been sitting in my drafts since the first episode. It was sitting there for so long because I was waiting for the series to end to see if they would continue this theme to the end, and they did. So here is my essay on family as one of the central themes of peaceful property.

Family has always been my top priority in life. This is actually one of the reasons why I was so touched by peaceful property. Because this series gave me so many different types of familial bonds, good and bad. Because of who I am, I have a hard time relating to romantic love. It's not that I can't feel romantic love, it's just I don't really understand it that well. I have a superficial idea of it, but I've never felt it myself. But familial love is something I can definitely relate to and understand, so peaceful property was such a comfortable watch for me.

So what is family? Or a better question might be, what makes someone family? Family is the people you love and trust unconditionally, the ones you want to stay with for the rest of your life, the ones you find comfort with in the hardest of times, the ones you want to protect with your life, the ones with whom you share such an unbreakable bond that no matter what happens you find your way back to them. You may or may not have blood ties with family, but you definitely have strong emotional ties that can't be broken. This is what family means to me.

From the very beginning, peaceful property gave us different types of families, most of which are non-traditional. Peach and Pangpang, Home and his grandfather and Somkid, Kan and her single father, Suradech as a loner, Rak with her parents and husband, the magician and his sick daughter, Phoom and Vicha, Rider and Tharnsai, Somkid and Yai and finally Home, Peach, Pangpang, Kan and Suradech- all of these are the different families I can remember from the show. (I might be missing some since I'm writing this whole thing from memory but if I don't remember it, it means I didn't care about it.)

My point is, from the very beginning, this show was exploring different kinds of family dynamics. At first, I thought this show wanted to say something about capitalism and classism. But by ep 4, I was questioning my own assumption. By ep 6, I had a new perspective. In my opinion, this show only introduced these topics because money, status and class determine how we interact with others and how we form bonds with others. This show was always about Home's journey to finding his family. It's just that his wealth and status, how these things had been used in his favor, how he has an impact on people who don't have these things, how people perceive him because of it, how his thought process and behavior is influenced by these - all of these affect Home's quest of finding a family. It's not just his personality that matters. His upbringing, his privilege, his lack of understanding of the world due to his privilege matter too.

This is where the different family dynamics come into play. Home, who has no idea about the true meaning of his own name, has to experience all of these different family dynamics to understand what having a family feels like. The goal of the show was clear from the begininning-what is the meaning of Home? No matter how you interpret it, it is clearly about Home's personal journey.

Family was always the driving theme of this show. All actions and motivations of the characters, be it the living or the dead, can be traced back to family in some way. The first ghost helped Home meet his new family, Peach and Pangpang take Home's offer for their family, Kan wanted revenge for family, Somkid became the way he did because of family, Phoom and Vicha ended up the way they did because of family, the magician resorted to playing tricks because of family, Chef Hong's ghost couldn't pass on because she considered Peach family. Most importantly, the main cast who became a family by the end of the show. And there is still so much more sprinkled throughout that I don't have the patience to mention.

At the end of the show, Home's answer to the question "what is home" was wherever feels like home is home. The answer I got from the show is slightly different, or maybe just a little better articulated than Home's answer. What is home? The answer the show gave me was, home is where family is.
