Being a Swiftie was more than just a phase for me. I’d always admired Taylor Swift’s storytelling and artistry, and I found ways to channel that admiration through my own creativity. I started editing photos, creating aesthetic video clips, and eventually started painting portraits of her—my small way of contributing to the fandom. I poured my heart into every post, and the account took off, gathering thousands of followers who resonated with my love for Taylor.

One day, something happened that made my entire world flip upside down. I posted one of my newest paintings—a portrait of Taylor in her “Folklore” era, surrounded by soft, muted colors and imagery—and Taylor Nation liked it. I screamed when I saw the notification, but what happened next nearly made me faint.

I got a DM from Taylor Nation. A DM. They told me they’d been following my account and loved the edits and paintings I’d been doing, and they invited me to the upcoming Eras Tour show. I couldn’t breathe. Was this real life? Me, going to see Taylor Swift perform live, invited by Taylor Nation?

The day of the concert arrived, and I could hardly contain myself. When I arrived at the stadium, I was blown away by how close I was to the stage—practically in the front row. The energy was electric, and I felt like I was floating the entire time. I took a moment to take it all in, trying to convince myself that this was actually happening.

Then the lights dimmed, and Taylor appeared, beginning her set with “Miss Americana & The Heartbreak Prince.” The crowd screamed, and I was caught up in the magic of it all. But then something strange happened during “My Tears Ricochet.” Taylor was performing her emotional choreography, and when she lay on the ground, her head snapped up—and she locked eyes with me.

My heart stuttered. She couldn’t be looking at me, right? There were thousands of people here. But the moment was unmistakable. She held my gaze for just a beat too long, and I felt my face heat up. I told myself it was a coincidence, but a part of me couldn’t shake the feeling.

Throughout the night, it happened again and again. During “Vigilante Shit,” when she sang with that intense, sultry energy, I caught her glancing in my direction—multiple times. Every time our eyes met, my heart raced a little faster. She couldn’t be singling me out, could she?

As the concert went on, I tried to focus on the music, but I kept catching Taylor’s eyes on me, her gaze lingering in a way that made my stomach do flips. I wasn’t imagining it. Every time she looked at me, a small smile played on her lips, and it felt like there was something more behind those glances.

After the show, when I was still floating on the high of the night, one of the Taylor Nation reps came over to me. “Taylor wants to meet you,” they said casually, as if they hadn’t just dropped a bomb on my world.

I was led backstage, my nerves a chaotic mess, trying to wrap my head around what was happening. I was about to meet Taylor Swift in person. Before I could fully process the moment, she walked into the room, looking radiant even after the intense concert.

“Hey!” she said, her voice warm and familiar. “You’re Y/N, right?”

I stammered out a yes, trying to keep my cool. Taylor smiled and took a step closer. “I’ve seen your posts. Your paintings are incredible. I’m obsessed with them. And your edits? Seriously, you have such an eye for this stuff.”

I blinked, trying to comprehend the fact that Taylor Swift had seen my work—liked my work.

Then, as if to throw me off completely, she added, “You know, I recognized you from the stage tonight.” My heart skipped a beat. “It was hard to keep my eyes off you,” she said, her voice dropping just a little, her eyes twinkling. I felt my face heat up, trying to process what was happening.

I laughed nervously, unsure if she was joking. “Wait, really? I thought I was just imagining things.”

Taylor smiled, a little more playfully now. “Oh, you definitely weren’t imagining it. I noticed you during ‘My Tears Ricochet’—you were right there, looking so shocked. It was cute.” She was teasing me now, and I didn’t know whether to laugh or melt.

I felt a blush creeping up my cheeks as she kept her gaze locked on mine, and I could swear there was a little bit of a flirtatious glint in her eyes. “I just… I mean, I didn’t expect you to even see me, let alone… notice me.”

“How could I not?” she said softly, her eyes scanning my face for just a second too long. “You stood out.”

We talked for a few more minutes, and I could feel the tension between us—the way her words were laced with something more than just casual conversation. She kept complimenting my work, my creativity, even the way I’d blushed earlier during the concert.

As I left that night, my mind was spinning. Had I just spent the evening catching Taylor Swift’s attention—both on stage and off? It felt like a dream, but the way she looked at me, the way she had spoken to me… it was something more than I could have ever expected.

As I walked out of the venue, my mind still spinning from everything that had happened, I tried to catch my breath. Meeting Taylor, hearing her say that she had noticed me on stage, that she couldn’t keep her eyes off me—it was all too much. I couldn’t stop replaying every glance, every word she’d said, wondering if I had misread the whole situation. Maybe she was just being nice… right?

I was almost at the exit when I heard footsteps behind me, quicker than the steady flow of fans leaving the show. I glanced over my shoulder, and my heart stopped when I saw Taylor—Taylor Swift—hurrying toward me, a look of determination on her face.

“Hey, wait!” she called out, slightly out of breath as she caught up with me. I turned fully to face her, trying to process what was happening.

“Taylor?” I asked, my voice shaky with disbelief.

She smiled, a little sheepish, as if she hadn’t just sprinted across a stadium to catch up with me. “I, uh, forgot to ask for your number,” she said, her voice soft but teasing, like it was the most natural thing in the world. “If you’re okay with that?”

For a second, I just stood there, frozen in place. Taylor Swift wanted my phone number. I blinked, trying to make sure I wasn’t dreaming, but she stood there, waiting patiently, her eyes never leaving mine.

“Oh! Yeah, of course,” I stammered, fumbling to unlock my phone and hand it to her. My heart was racing again, my pulse pounding in my ears.

Taylor took my phone, her fingers brushing against mine as she quickly entered her number and handed it back to me. “Text me sometime,” she said, a smile tugging at the corner of her lips. “I’d love to see more of your work… and maybe, you know, hang out?”

My brain short-circuited. I nodded, too overwhelmed to form a proper response, but the grin on Taylor’s face told me she understood.

With one last playful glance, she gave me a small wave and turned back toward the venue, leaving me standing there with my phone clutched in my hand, my heart racing faster than ever. As she disappeared into the crowd, I looked down at my screen. Taylor Swift was in my contacts, and I could barely believe it.

What had started as a dream night just became the most surreal experience of my life.

Hi anon! loml IS that song, and I just happened to listen to it in the car running errands this afternoon after taking a break from it for awhile. It is a punch in the gut for sure.

First things first: you don't need to be listening to people on the internet, including me! You can feel however you'd like about music.

That being said, keep in mind that this is just my interpretation of things.

To me, loml might be the most emotionally swirly song on TTPD (that I can think of off the top of my head). While the events in the song may point to a more straightforward muse (e.g. the conman), to me, the song wraps up the story of both of the main muses on the standard album, because what happened with the conman (e.g. in loml) only happened because of what happened with the partner first. And IMO, a lot of the pain she feels at what the conman does to her is a result of, or at least amplified by what actually happened with the partner.

So when you get to the "crescendo" of the song, the bridge where she unleashes all her anger and grief and pain, she's lashing out at the conman (for putting her in this immediate situation), but the donut hole, as @taylortruther puts it, is that she put herself in that situation because of what happened with her partner first, and why she made herself believe the conman hook, line and sinker.

All that to say, again in my opinion, that the "loss of [her] life" does not mean the loss of a lover, it's a direct foil to her saying "you said I'm the love of your life" in the previous choruses. Because not once in the song does she say he was the love of hers-- the point of the song is that the he exploited her feelings to play her. So, again in my opinion, the final chorus is swirly in that the "field of dreams" that is set ablaze is the dreams she had with her partner first, that were exploited by the conman, and finally killed by the actions of all three of them. (The partner's growing resentment/indifference/however you want to put it, the conman's scheming and subsequent ghosting, and her burning the bridge with the partner to run to the conman then watching it all go up in smoke.)

He's the loss of her life not as a lover, but as the grenade that ended her life as she knew it, because his actions caused her to blow up her entire life, and come out with absolutely nothing at the end of it but unrelenting grief and heartache.

tl;dr: the loss of her life isn't a person, it's the actual dreams she had for herself (of marriage and children). (So you could say it's Matty as in he's the "you," but he's not the loss itself.)

so this is why i think peter is the one looking in people's windows

A few days ago, I saw a swiftie on TikTok talking about how I look in people’s windows could be taken as the other perspective of the same story narrated in Peter, and I just couldn’t stop thinking about it. So, I decided to go in-depth and start a self-assigned quest to look for any clue that could interweave these two stories in a way that made sense.

I know this could sound a little absurd or could be taken as a stretch of some sort, but I believe, and I’m sure most of her fans would agree, that most of the beauty in Taylor’s writing comes from the countless different interpretations people bestow on her lyrics. I’m not asking you to take this analysis as absolute truth because I’m genuinely just having fun with it, and I hope you do too.

I’ll analyze “I look in people's windows” from Peter’s point of view and “peter” from the other character’s pov, whom we’ll call Wendy given the obvious parallelism to Peter Pan.

Well, the main and obvious connection is given by the “window” element. While Wendy is waiting for Peter by the window, Peter is looking for her from outside that window. If you look at this through very literal and rational eyes, I believe you’d think it doesn’t make sense that they were both looking for each other through the same window but never met again. So HERE is where I want to insert my interpretation.

There are two options I can think of that would explain the failed meeting. 

Peter intentionally avoided Wendy while still looking for her every day.

Every time they were looking for each other, it happened at different moments.

The first case presents a lot of questions, like, is the pledge to grow up what is stopping Peter because he knows he can’t do it? Or was he cruel enough to wait for Wendy to move on and then come back? Either way, the conclusion remains the same. In this scenario, Peter was a coward. If it was because he didn’t want to grow up, if it was because he just wanted Wendy to never move on, or if it was because he never gave her a real answer.

On the other hand, the second case talks about something that’s closer to a tragedy. They were always doomed by the narrative. While Wendy was waiting for him, Peter was looking for her, but Wendy never saw him—not when she waited or when Peter was looking for her. We would need to assume some things here tho. Either it all comes back to the first option and Peter had been avoiding her the entire time, or he thought she had already forgotten about him. The first option shows us, once again, that Peter is a coward, but the second one also tells us something important: he may be too scared to grow up, but he’s not selfish enough to stop her from moving on.

Based on this verse, we can design a new theory. He watched her leave and he was aching for her to come back to him. So he started looking for her in other people’s windows, wondering if one of them was gonna be her. Even when he had already said goodbye to her.

And here’s where another verse of peter will acquire significance:

“I thought it was just goodbye for now”

With both songs in mind, it sounds like he said goodbye to her, hoping they were gonna see each other again, but he also knew he had to let her go at the time and that he was condemned to miss her. But what Peter didn’t know was that Wendy was gonna go through the same thing, but she wouldn’t have the comfort of knowing what he did (wait for her).

“promises oceans deep, but never to keep”

This is why we get two completely different endings for both songs. While Peter is still addicted to the what-ifs, Wendy has turned off the light; the fantasies have expired for her. Wendy grew up; Peter didn’t. While I look in people's windows gives you the feeling of being running from house to house in a neighborhood you don’t recognize anymore, trying to fit into a routine you were used to in the past; peter reads like the last chapter of a book you’ll never touch again.

I've always thought and always told those close to me that if Taylor is CO, it will be her saying it out loud. Showing her as fragile, cornered and, sometimes, forced to continue with the farce. Whether in an autobiography or an interview or a documentary, as many thought she would do at Miss Americana (I only saw this year that a friend of the director said on Twitter that Taylor had completely changed the course of the doc at the last minute).

I say this because this is Taylor's only chance to tell her truth and not lose her career. Because then, she will be able to say how much she fought, how much she tried and SCREAMED through her lyrics, despite not being heard by many, and show the countless times that the old white men on her team, her former record label (and I believe SB) and the Swifties themselves and the world press put her in this glass closet against her will and she created this public figure TS™️ (The main character of the show who, like Truman, has his fake life commercialized), so she can still continue doing what she loves most in life. I think she will do it this way, to try to raise awareness in the world and especially in the monster that she unintentionally created (Swifties), so that they don't ruin her career forever.

That's why many, gaylors, swifties, swiftagrons, kaylors, press and many others had the feeling, for a good part of the Tour, that this was her farewell Tour. Because she started this tour as if it was the last time she would ever have the chance to step on a stage before speaking her truth. But that seems to have changed along the way... it seems like Tay is less apprehensive about the outcome of what she'll do next. More confident. I'm happy for her and looking forward to what's next. Especially with all the plaid she's been wearing the last few months. I think there are some Easter eggs in there. 🤔

I really don’t have a strong opinion on if or when a CO will happen but it’s interesting to read your thoughts so thanks for sending.

Side note: I used to selfishly clamor for a grand declaration but I’ve learned and grown a lot since then. My attitude now is just wanting what Taylor feels is best for her. I believe our corner gets winks and nods sent to our blogs because we are important to Taylor and her story. The sources want us to keep hanging on even if it means dragging the goal posts as we grip on to them for dear life lol. I don’t think they’d do this if there wasn’t a desire to one day have some version of the truth out there. Because it’s clear a lot of time is spent keeping a small group of us hanging on. I fear I am rambling but I will leave it at this - It feels like there is momentum building toward a potential CO. But we know the burn around here can feel very slow from our POV. I hope we can all temper our emotions, take breaks if we disagree with happenings, and ultimately continue watching how Taylor’s story plays out.

On twitter i have seen swifties say ari isn‘t perfect for this role or how we shouldn‘t watch this movie because they don‘t want to support cheaters. Isn‘t this a funny statement from swifties… taylor emotionally cheated (still cheating) on joe by lusting and touching herself to the idea of being with this yellowed teeth racist called matty healy. She is still obsessed with all of her exes and can‘t let go. Why do swifties also hate? Cause ari has vocals that taylor can‘t come close to, cause she has a movie out where she plays the main character (smth taylor never managed), cause she is once again a woman in music and swifties just know the one and only woman in music: taylor swift. They get upset when people call sabrina or charli the princess of pop but when they call ts the music industry aka not crediting the talented people that taylor even ripped off (florence and lana show they can make a record, while ts made a cheap copy of their work)

okay awesome! so first, thank you so much for all the wonderful resources you provided. and also, obviously everything i’m about to say is just my own opinion and i respect that not everyone will agree. but there’s tons of reblogs on your original post and this is something i’ve been wanting to say in this fandom (of lovely people) for a while, just because i do think it’s important to consider some of the more problematic aspects of the tuskegee storyline and to discuss that it was far, far from what bipoc representation should look like in media.

so i do not have any personal/ familial connections to any of the tuskegee airmen, but my great aunt was a tuskegee army nurse and i’ve discussed this tons with my family and other black viewers of the show. i’ve seen many folks accuse the producers/creators/ etc. of tokenism and i’ll be so real, i don’t think the main issue with the show is the lack of screen time allocated to the tuskegee storyline. i appreciate the context you provided re. cutting for time/ budgeting purposes because i truly did not know that! and i can see how that would’ve impacted the content we did end up seeing, especially regarding the amount. however. i agree with what an anon on swifty’s account said, which is that the main issue (to me) was NOT the amount of content, but the way that daniels, macon and jefferson were used as tools/plot devices to further the storylines centred on buck, bucky and the white men of the hundredth.

to be clear, i do understand that this is their show so maybe that’s to be expected. i also do get what you mentioned re. the main issue with the show being that too many storylines were crammed into too few episodes and so i do understand that they were trying to connect the tuskegee storyline to the storyline of the 100th, just for the sake of continuity and because it wouldn’t really make sense to have the tuskegee men in there at all if the plots were entirely disconnected. i did laugh a little when they coincidentally were placed in the same barracks as the buckies but again, all these things make sense. i sympathise and understand what you’re saying re. them doing the best they could but that also doesn’t mean that for me, my family, and many others that i’ve spoken to, the tuskegee storyline wasn’t incredibly disappointing. and i think it can be disappointing without it necessarily being anyones fault or with us having to blame anybody, i just want to put it out there that i really hope others do understand this is NOT what representation should look like. taking the storyline of the tuskegee airmen, which is truly a huge part of black history in america, and using it as a backdrop to the story of white members of the 100th is going to rub people the wrong way. that’s just the way it is, regardless of what the intentions/ circumstances were. this was also touched on by the anon who left the ask on swifty’s account but i also have a massive problem with the undertones in the series of exploring the issue of race/ integration through the eyes and thoughts of the buckies. again. i do get it’s their show. and i think this is a specific topic that just gets me heated because it’s so pervasive in media and fandom (and i’ve even seen it in this fandom) but the use of bipoc characters and storylines to enhance the image/ rep of white characters is something i can and will never get behind. i think the folks behind the show wanted us to see the buckies shaking the hands of black men and to make it very clear that while other pows might’ve been racist, they weren’t! and to be totally honest, i think it is like. outright wrong to take an issue as massive as the discrimination faced by the tuskegee airmen and to use it to remind viewers that the buckies were wonderful and heroic people. i’m not saying it was done intentionally and i can see how it was a nice idea to show that the segregation that existed in the air force didn’t extend into the stalag, but to do it with these men who have stories that deserve agency and respect and so much more than what the show gave them puts a really bad taste in my mouth. i think it’s just such a common thing these days in media and fandom (again, i’ve even seen it in this fandom) to use a bipoc character as a means of making a white character more likeable and to offer them a hero/ saviour arc.

again, this is just my opinion and i appreciate all the context you offered re. the challenges that were behind all of this. of course i’m sympathetic to those challenges and i can totally see what you mean by any representation being worth celebrating. i can agree with that in the sense that the inclusion of the tuskegee men in the show might’ve been successful in making viewers aware of their existence, and i’m not denying that there was absolutely 0 value in their depiction. i personally don’t celebrate the representation we were given and i wouldn’t praise the producers or whoever for advocating that the tuskegee men be included in the show because i think that if you’re going to do that, your responsibility doesn’t end there and these are stories that deserve so much more than what they were given. all in all i think that black history, especially stories like these, shouldn’t be relegated to plot devices/ background characters in the stories of white individuals, but. this is just how i feel. sorry for the length of this ❤️

Thank you so much for this, don’t apologize for the length at all, these points are fantastic and really open the doors to help us get at the core issue of what the problem is in POC rep in media, especially in military history. I’m gonna add a read more break because you’ve got so much good stuff to talk about and I don’t want to make this a huge text block on people’s dash

Your points excellently lead to the root problem: The key issue is always going to be who the point of view character of a piece of media is. In mota the only time we get the pov of the Tuskegee guys starts in the beginning of the episode when they’re in Italy. Only when we see them independently of location and perspective of the 100th guys is when we’re seeing the war and the world from their perspective. Pretty much the entire rest of the show is from the pov of the Buckies, or for short periods, Rosie, Croz, and the underground girls, which outside of their highlighted pieces are all regulated side characters to the Buckies because they’re the main characters. All this is to say that when we see the Tuskegee guys in the stalag it’s still not from their pov. Of course they’re going to be portrayed as side characters and only as accessories to the Buckies because that’s the entire show and most of the characters, from the Buckies point of view.

This gets to the heart of the issue, that in film and tv, history and especially World War II has been told nearly exclusively from the white perspective, which what causes poc to end up in these side character/friend/support role because that’s what they were to the main character in the story. Of course there’s nothing wrong with telling any stories of people from history, but it’s also crucial and our responsibility to tell stories from the point of view of the poc character. This didn’t happen in mota because the show was about the 100th from the perspective of them and the Buckies and not anyone else.

It’s still disappointing! Because we don’t don’t have hardly any representation from a poc characters point of view in war media. Of course mota was never going to be that because of who the MCs are, but seeing white folks get yet another deep exploring show of their experience where there’s still such a dearth of stories from poc perspectives is discouraging. The arc the Tuskegee guys had in mota was great for the role they had in that particular story, they are well written and complex characters and highlight these men, but as we watch l, all it reminds us of is that we don’t have representation from their core, where the story is about them and not about how others saw them.

As a parallel, if I make a hospital show about the heart surgery ward, whenever those main characters interact with staff in another ward, say cancer, those cancer staff are going to be side/support characters with not much deep storyline because that’s what they are in the life of a heart surgeon. There’s nothing wrong with that, that’s how stories work, we are all the pov character in our own life. However, if every hospital drama show only shows the heart surgery ward perspective and every time a cancer doctor appears they are side characters and are never the main character exploring their own journey and experiences, its 100% going to be disappointing and upsetting to those who work in cancer ward who only see themselves represented as however the people in the cancer ward perceive them. We can simultaneously be happy to get good rep as side characters in another person’s show and also hurt that we still don’t have a story from the cancer wards pov.

Mota is not from the Tuskegees perspective and I join you in being heartbroken that we don’t have proper long from media that represents them as the main characters they obviously were in their own lives and community. It’s also worth noting that sometimes it’s easy to attribute theme to perspective. The Tuskegees were in the show because they were present at these events, not to be props to anyone else. Their interactions with guys in the stalag was not for the purpose of making anyone look good or bad, it was to illustrate what the integration in the stalag was like, sometimes cordial and respectful in working together and sometimes hostile.

I think we can define “bad rep” as a character that is portrayed in damaging ways, HOWEVER it IS a greater society problem when we never get main characters written with stories ABOUT THEM from their pov. It absolutely negatively influences society and needlessly sidelines communities that struggle to see themselves represented 💔 We can’t let up in raising voices.

Remus: idc what u say bro is into presplit panic! at the disco, like worshipped ryan ross when he was 13 kind of guy. the front bottoms, fucks w idkhow, had a painfully pretentious ‘born in the wrong generation’ phase where he was obvs really big on bowie, the stones, the smiths, the cure etc.

Sirius: Got into the 2015 emo trinity because of remus’s ryan ross obsession. LOVED pierce the veil as an angsty teen, massively into fob (especially pre-hiatus) and had a crush on Pete Wentz growing up. Definitely had a Gerard Way fan account when he was 15. (i’m projecting). never truly left his emo phase, just stopped being pretentious about it and also began listening to pop music.

Peter: actually enjoys p!atd up to pray for the wicked (again, thanks to remus forcing them on everyone back in secundary school). probably a casual listener of a bunch of stuff, though he’s a big weezer fan and really enjoys niall horan. WILL crank up brainrot music (like the hamsterdance or fnaf songs or minecraft parodies and he knows every single word)

Marlene: everyone’s favourite cool girl, loves riot grrrl music!!! CHAPPEL ROAN!!!!!! OBVIOUSLY a paramore stannie. shakes ass to Gaga and Troye Sivan, probably went to see Weezer live with Peter and started a moshpit during Buddy Holly.

Mary: she’s beyhive for sure, as in, has extensive knowledge on everything beyoncé. Got into Taylor Swift because of Lily. Those two def had a 1D phase together. Likes Pink Pantheress and some Halsey, got into chappel roan bcs of Marlene. She likes most of the main pop girls (ariana, dula peep, olivia…) she’s an overall fun person, so her music taste reflects that.

Lily: HEAVY on Taylor swift and harry styles. as before mentioned, she had a 1D phase along with Mary (she was a Niall girl). Had the inevitable not like other girls phase when she got into Lorde, the 1975, arctic monkeys and halsey (it’s a canon event we can’t intervene). Got over her internalised misogyny and became a swiftie, amen🙏🏻

A Story of Three Sisters?

Hello, hello! Here I am again, with my Stationhead radio nonsense 😅

Well, to be fair, it’s only tangentially related this time. I could go on and on about that one host, who seems to be stalking the playlist that I reported on last time, and who only rarely comes on air, but started streaming about a day ahead of the recent TN listening party, then stayed on with only minor interruptions for a grand total of like four days… But to touch at least one single blade of grass and keep it somewhat grounded, let’s just focus on the main observation I took away from this, shall we? 

So, this particular host was syndicating on the main Swifties channel for the bulk of the last couple of days, only absent for small breaks, or not featured on the main channel, while Taylor Nation themselves hosted. I had a lot of fun giggling about some of the interludes they curated, but the most interesting part perhaps, was the overarching main theme of the whole event. 

I think this is not the first time, that some of you will have heard of the notion that Folkmore and TTPD could be sister albums. Especially the Anthology’s style and vibes have often been compared to our beloved pandemic albums, and TN themselves seem to have hinted at this idea with a cute little Benjamin flashback clip that originated from the time when ME! was still in the making. 

For me, having this sort of sentiment in the back of my mind, and actually listening to it in the way “mother” perhaps intended, were two very different pairs of shoes. Simply knowing, didn’t help me all that much with making very meaningful connections (ok, I think we all know that Peter and cardigan are related, that’s kinda too obvious…), but being shown was a great help, so thank you Swiftiesss13, whoever you are! 

What they did, was to play the three albums as a triad, over and over and over, merging them like triple helix, or a three-way zip, if you will. Interestingly, they began with TTPD, which seems anachronistic and baffled me a little, but there did seem to be a method to that madness. The order was TTPD Track 1, Folklore Track 1, Evermore Track 1 (Fortnight, the 1, willow), then rinse and repeat for the entirety of the album, plus bonus tracks. Once they'd inevitably finished the Folkmore sisters, they often continued with the rest of the Anthology uninterrupted, or interspersed with songs from other albums. 

It was a surprisingly cohesive listening experience, and maybe that was all they were going for. Regardless of the host’s intentions, it did make me ponder Taylor’s intentions, even though the whole triple sister album concept had never been a huge selling point or subject of general discussion. I’m sure I’m still missing a massive amount of clues, but maybe let me summarise what I’ve observed so far:

Cowboys Are Fun!

If you compare Folkmore tracklists, Tracks 11 are invisible string and cowboy like me. Fairly unremarkable. They don’t exactly go together. If you add TTPD, however—and this is where the funny order comes in handy—Tadaaaaa: You get 

I Can Fix Him 🤠 —> invisible string —> cowboy like me 🤠

How cool is that?! When it comes to interpreting that, I’m not entirely sure how to take this. Either (purely chronologically), she wasn’t able to fix her evermore cowboy, OR it means the cowboy that the narrator isn’t able to fix in TTPD is “me”. I’ve long wondered whether that was the message of the song all along, because “fixing” her could be seen as making her stay with a man… when that somehow seems to be a mission the guys simply can’t accomplish (presumably, because she’s rather with her girls and never takes the dudes seriously anyway). 

In a similar vein…

This one starts with a Folklore track, but it’s still important to play the albums in the same order to get this little cute sequence:

august —> dorothea —> Guilty As Sin? (Tracks F8,E8,T9)

I’m not even sure if that was on purpose, but it was my favourite highlight of the playlist each time! 🤣

I’ll leave it up to you to decide if any of the other sequences are at all interesting. I’m probably to myopic at this point to make much sense of them now. 

A completely different observation…

If they were meant to be enjoyed together, I started to wonder, if there was any other clues to that effect, like… I don’t know… running times? 

If you actually run all three albums together, the runtime would be somewhat longer than 3 hours and 9 minutes. That sounds a bit like a “Dang! Close miss!” But is it? Does anyone really expect people to run three albums together and catalogue the exact time it takes? It sure is possible, and I’m ok with it, if someone tells me that this evidence is a little too shaky for their liking. But just for fun and simplicity’s sake: let’s look at the runtimes and only count hours and minutes (like normal, not crazy obsessive people), then add them up in our heads. 3 hours, 8 minutes. How neat! 😊 Feel free to count Evermore’s 38 seconds though, because that’s just adorable! (And yes, mega cherry-picky 😂)

It was no secret to the entire team that your music tastes were completely different to Quill's. Sure you did like some 80s every now and then, But you were more onto the modern side like Dua lipa or the weeknd.

But my god if you ever get mentioned Taylor Swift, You would be on cloud nine and never come down, She was your favourite artist of all time. Listening to her from the very beginning, It was hard whenever you were asked to pick a favourite song from her. She was just incredible.

Rocket wondered where you had been all day, All you said was you had to go out for a little while and that was about it.

"Where did ya go humie ???" He told himself that, you constantly joke about how he worries for you whenever you go out on missions or in general. While he continues to deny that. It was true, I mean come on your his best friend.

He then saw a cargo ship hyperjump nearby, and soon began to receive a radio transmission.

"Sorry I took a little longer buddy, Had to get some stuff for the ship too." You said over the intercom.

"Well get your butt back on the ship, Better brought back more of those cookies with milk on them" He said playfully.

"You mean oreo's ??"

"Yeah that, Man those names are strange" He chuckled.

Boarding back onto the bowie, You then brought the bag to the main dining area and began to unpack, Once unpacked. You rushed back to your room with the bag still in hand, It was like you were eager about something else inside it.

Maybe it was a birthday present ?? Rocket thought to himself, No don't be so stupid, Quill's birthday was 2 months ago now and no others are coming up for now. So with curiosity getting the better of him, He went to your room and investigated.

Knocking on the door of your room. "Y/n, you in there ??" He didn't hear anything, to begin with, So he tried to knock again but still no answer.

He then opened the door to find you lying on the floor, with headphones in your ears. "No wonder you didn't say anything" He muttered to himself, Then he saw the portable CD player in your hand and then the cover next to you.

He walked over to you, Opening your eyes to see him looking at you. "Hey, what's up ??" You smiled sitting up.

"I tried knocking on your door, But obviously you are a little preoccupied" He smirked then found the CD cover, Picked it up and looked at it. "Taylor Swift ??" Like we discussed, He doesn't know much about the modern music you listen too.

"Yeah she re-released her album 1989 today and I just had to go down and get it, Oh it's so good so far !!!" You said smiling, slightly kicking your feet.

"Woah woah hold up humie, re-release ??, Wasn't the old version good enough or somethin" He tilted his head in curiosity.

"So to put it lightly, She's re-recording all her old albums so she can have ownership of them, not her manager" You explained.

Now you peaked his interest. "Oh flark it, I got some time to kill, I'd assume you have her other CDs ??" He asked, Probably already knowing the answer.

You nodded as you reached under your bed and pulled out your CD box, Then grabbed out all 10 of her albums. Rocket was slightly baffled about how many albums she's put out. "We'll save the re-recorded ones for another time."

So you stopped the CD you were listening to for now and whacked in the very first one, Country music was something Rocket normally liked so he'd feel right at home for the first few albums.

"She ain't too bad so far" He was softly tapping his foot to Picture to burn, that being his favourite one.

"Ok next up is fearless, This one really blew her up"

"Wait she's dead ??"

"No, when a human says blow up, we mean oh they got even more successful than before" You chuckled, to which you earned a playful nudge from him. "Ok let's see what this is" He placed the earbud back in as you pressed play.

Most of the album was romantic songs, but there were a couple that he did like, Like Love Story or You Belong With Me. You could even swear you heard him starting to hum along. Then after that, you moved onto Speak Now which was ok, But then Red was played you hit the nail on the head. He started to softly sing I knew you were trouble.

"Are you singing the song ??"

"No I'm not" He quickly denied.

You giggled and ruffled his head "You like it"

"Hey hey, Watch the fur" He chuckled as the song continued.

"You know, She's really good. Gotta say y/n, you have really good music tastes... Well better than quill at least" He smirked, Hoping he could hear it.

"Thank you for giving it a chance though buddy, I do appreciate it" You smiled genuinely at him.

"What are friends for ??"

You two continued to listen to the albums together in peace, In a way, it made the bond between you two grow, just sitting there listening to the music. He himself started to become a mild Swifty, His favourite albums from her are Folklore and Evermore, They were a little more slower-paced and quieter than the others. But one day you heard and walked passed him briefly belting out cruel summer when he thought no one was looking. That you'll keep to yourself for now... Until you felt like teasing him. But you were glad Rocket liked her as much as you did, Now the crew have to deal with two besties belting out the music at 1AM together.
