The local news organization Bridge Michigan has released information that there are around 500,000 more names on the voter rolls than those who are eligible to vote in the state of Michigan.

There are 8.4 million registered voters in Michigan, around half a million more than the state's population that is old enough to vote. According to Bridge, this makes Michigan's voter rolls the most disproportionate in the region and one of the most imbalanced in the entire United States.

The imbalance may have been caused by a voter-approved 2018 proposal that automatically registers those 18 and older to vote when applying for a driver's license unless they opt out.

According to the report, Michigan plans to remove an estimated 606,800 inactive voters by 2027. By federal law, the state or local clerks can remove voters from the rolls after the state notifies them that they moved to another state, or if election mail sent to their home is returned as undeliverable and after they do not vote in two consecutive federal elections. (Related: More than 747,000 ineligible voters removed from electoral rolls.)

The Republican National Committee has already sued the state in federal court over the issue in February, demanding the state trim the rolls. In 2020, the GOP also filed a similar suit, which was dismissed after thousands were removed from the rolls. It did not allege fraud but argued the rolls increase the opportunity for it. The suit also claims that inflated rolls cause political parties to spend more money on mailers and other voter outreach.

Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson's spokesperson Angela Benander said the complaints are part of an effort to sow distrust of elections. Benson has been named in multiple lawsuits.

The lawsuits, including three filed in the last month, "lay the groundwork to overturn the results of the election if they don't like them," Benander said. "The legal challenges are an attempt to cause people to question the process."

Since the lawsuit was filed, around 200,000 more people have registered.

Our day started at 5 AM with Heather telling us the storm was hitting hard. The awnings were still out and were flapping like crazy. Dana and I had to loosen some screws to bring them in. We all did go back to bed.

Dana and I visited Pam this morning. It was quite a surprise for Dana to see how much worse she is. She read his shirt, Dunder Mifflin, over and over again. She thought she had just seen our mom. It is very sad. We left after lunch was served with a quick goodbye and she never looked back.

We went to Benand Jerry's later. They have a fun playground but a lame factory tour. We got ice cream and left. No rain until later today.

Tomorrow we head home.

In the mood to chatter rn so i might as well chatter abt my au since while the bishops look like they're healed, they still have lasting injuries/scars from their old bodies <:)

Basically what happened is while they have entirely new bodies thanks to the ritual the lamb uses to bring them back (which I'll get into more either in the comic or a later post,) their souls still are still dealing with the lasting effects if that makes sense? None of them really died as bishops before the lamb, but Narinder still WAS death, so it makes sense that their injuries would end up following them into death, and into their second lives as a result!

Leshy can see again, but is easily visually overstimulated (which is why his second pair of eyes are shut most of the time) and sometimes he'll have days where he can't see or his vision is too blurry to see much of anything

Heket can speak again, but it's hard for her to he nearly as loud as she used to benand also very easy for her to lose her voice. Some days she'll also just straight up be unable to talk or her throat will be too sore and croaky to say anything

Kallamar can hear again, but has to deal with his ears ringing most of the time as well as some auditory processing issues. Sometimes he'll have days where the ringing is either too loud for him to hear anything, or he just can't hear anything at all

Shamura could technically think back when they were a bishop, but their thoughts are a lot less scattered now! Unfortunately they still do have to deal with brainfog and short term memory loss, along with some other issues like minor hallucinations

Also, I like to think that they all have different ways of communicating with/helping eachother on particularly bad days but I need to put more thought into that part <:)

Thank you so much but only ONE of those quotes was in fact from Thor Himself (the author of this article Thor Benander) the other two were from Sam Herself (@jurisffiction) however all three of us share a Dream of a Better Written Ted Lasso. And the author knows his football too!! Song song với đó là một câu chuyện khác có liên quan, về một bác sĩ tâm thần đang cố gắng chứng minh sự vô tội của một người đàn ông bị buộc tội giết người.

Tiến sĩ Lara Ault đề cử “Identity” vì bộ phim đã đề cập đến một chứng bệnh độc đáo và gây tranh cãi. Bộ phim đặt ra một số quan niệm sai lầm về chứng bệnh này, tuy nhiên lại đưa được ra một gợi ý về cách thức điều trị hết sức hấp dẫn. Ngoài ra đây cũng là một vụ án giết người vô cùng hồi hộp.

4/ A Beautiful Mind (2001)

Dựa trên cuộc đời của thiên tài toán học đoạt giải Nobel John Forbes Nash – một người mắc bệnh tâm thần phân liệt. Bộ phim này đã giành được bốn giải Oscar trong đó có giải dành cho Phim hay nhất.

Tiến sĩ Antonio Laverghetta đề cử vì bộ phim cho thấy được cuộc đời và những đau khổ mà một người mắc chứng tâm thần phân liệt phải chịu đựng. Các sinh viên tâm lý học sẽ nhận thấy rằng Nash có rất nhiều triệu chứng của bệnh tâm thần phân liệt, đồng thời có thể quan sát được mức độ ngày càng tăng của những triệu chứng này cũng như những ảnh hưởng lên bản thân anh ta và những người xung quanh. Bộ phim cũng cho thấy những khó khăn khi phải kiểm soát các rối loạn tâm thần này và vai trò quan trọng của xã hội trong việc giúp đỡ người bệnh.

5/ Memento (2000)

Bộ phim này do Christopher Nolan viết kịch bản và đạo diễn. Câu chuyện xoay quanh Leonard Shelby, một cựu điều tra viên bảo hiểm hiện đang mất trí nhớ do bị chấn thương ở đầu trong khi đang cố gắng ngăn chặn vụ sát hại vợ mình. Thuộc chủ đề tâm lý học xã hội và tâm lý học phát triển, điều trị, năng khiếu. Tiến sĩ Glenn Lowery đề cử “Good Will Hunting” vì phim là một hình mẫu giảng dạy rất phù hợp. Bộ phim mô tả một mối quan hệ trị liệu khó khăn giữa một khách hàng nhiều mâu thuẫn và một nhân viên tư vấn thiếu chân chính.

7/ Driving Miss Daisy (1989)

Bộ phim bắt đầu vào năm 1948 khi Daisy Werthan, một phụ nữ Do Thái giàu có ở miền Nam bị con trai buộc phải dừng việc lái xe và thuê một tài xế người Mỹ gốc Phi tên là Hoke Colburn.
