Been watching old shows like What's My Line? The show has a panel of four people that ask questions to figure out a guest’s occupation. What is intriguing about the show is one of the usual panelists is Bennett Alfred Cerf who is the co-founder of the book publishing company Random House. Bennett was a VP of a publishing company and with a partner founded their own publishing company after acquiring the rights to Modern Library an imprint of the former company they left. They published a series of books “at random” which lead to the name of their subsidiary company Random House which eventually took over their parent company. The rest is history as they say.
