@hotline-havana @bertmacklin-atf @the anon from earlier who asked me about airsoft. This is my G&G combat machine MK18. Bone stock this gun was right around $220 from my local store if memory serves. However I'm seeing it here ( http://www.evike.com/products/45416/ ) for $190. My local airsoft store is the only one around so they're kinda expensive. This is a very solid rifle and I've had a lot of good experiences with it. I've also done some shit to it, a lot of it isn't necessary and almost all of it is cool guy shit that I got to be cool. However I haven't put a lot of money into it. -Chinese knock off T1-$30 -Chinese knock off aimpoint M3 I got from eBay $32 -AFG-$15 -knock off WML- $40 -45 degree mount for light-$5 You can't see it but I also have an HK style front sight on the gun that I took from one of my brother's broken guns that he no longer uses. The T1 works but I wouldn't wanna use it too rough. The M3 does actually work but has a terrible field of view. It's supposedly a 3X magnifier but I doubt that. I got that literally just for the aesthetic. The M45A1 is a now discontinued model. Funny enough I use an old De Santa holster that was meant for a Smith and Wesson that I got from a friend. As for any gear, I have some like shitty brand goggles, a Milsurp H harness and belt with some knock off HSGI mag pouches and I'll wear some DADPAT cause a flannel will stop a BB pretty well and it's (again) aesthetic af. Bit literally you can drop $190 on the rifle, another $20 for a battery and get some BBs and you can play. It comes with folding iron sights, you don't need fancy shit. But type in "Airsoft aimpoint" or "airsoft red dot" into eBay and you'll find cheap stuff that's just as good. I've seen and played with kids who are running rifles that cost real steel 1911 prices. I was playing a while back with a kid who had an M60 variant. Those things are expensive. The issue is when you have an 18year old kid running around with actual military tags and symbols of achievement (Ranger/Special Forces Tabs, Marine Raider patches, SEAL tridents ETC.) that they didn't earn. I can understand why people in the veteran community get upset at that. But there are also Milsim games that can be pretty cool. I would never play in one causeim not gonna drop close to a grand for Crye precision shit just to play airsoft. No thanks. I swear I've seen some kids wearing so much Crye I think they have more than All of SOCOM I might catch some shit for this. Oh well
