untamed wilds: adds new mobs like bears, big cats, and sea life.

traveler's backpack: adds backpacks!

pam's harvestcraft: adds a bunch of new crops and fruit trees, as well as food recipes. there's four parts to this mod: make sure you check the mod description for links to all the parts!

SWEM (star worm equestrian mod): adds brand a brand new horse model and a bunch of equestrian mechanics.

farmer's delight: adds a few new crops and a whole bunch of recipes!

diagonal fences: what is says on the tin.

genetic animals: my FAVORITE mod. revamps quite a few of the vanilla mobs and adds real life genetics to them. a fantastic team that's always, always working on something new to add!

burlap sack: basically a pokeball for mobs.

mccrayfish's furniture mod: adds a variety of furniture to minecraft. fantastic for decorating!

biomes o' plenty: a very popular mod for good reason! adds a whole bunch of new biomes and blocks to the game.

isle of berk: unfortunately this mod has been discontinued, and no longer seems to have a curseforge page. adds how to train your dragon dragons to minecraft.

terralith: world generation mod! improves minecraft world gen and adds a variety of new biomes with vanilla blocks.

mizuno's 16 craft: a lovely, cozy texture pack that gives me medieval vibes. well-loved and popular for good reason.

better cats & better dogs: gorgeous cat and dog retextures

bsl shaders: dreamy, mellow, and cozy

& sometimes I use complementary shaders instead. bsl and swem horses don't always get along.
