Gender and sexuality headcanon honestly for the most part for years i've been on board with him being a trans male and gay but the more people posting about butch cfo the more it starts to embed in my brain. it's inspired.

BROTP I loveeeeeeee when people draw charles and abigail and knubbler being dethstaff friends. bonding over those stupid assholes they work for. i understand why they went with abi leaving to like. Live her own life away from the inherent fuckedupness of working for dethklok but in a world where there were more episodes and they got the chance to like. Ah. A newcomer.

So here’s the thing, babe - I’ve already answered this same question before (though I can’t find the stupid ask for the life of me) and thus I’ve already explained my reasoning as to why it’s Emmett and not Mr. Single Star on my Collar Confederate that is the die-hard fan of the Country Queen. But because this is the LAST time I want to have to say this, I’ll go ahead and reiterate myself.

For reference to anyone reading this, Anon is referring to my current blog title (”emmett’s a dolly stan”).

I gotta lot of things to say about this so bear with me, it's gonna be a whole - actually, scratch that, multiple bullet lists. We’ll start with Emmett.

First thing’s first, I made this moodboard 

... and I made this post to go with it as a way to explain my reasoning.

As you can see from the post above and Emmett’s wiki, ya boy is from Gatlinburg, Tennessee! Good ole country boy who was just making a living to take care of his family!! Gotta love him. As you can also see from my post linked above, I mentioned that Dollyworld, Dolly Parton’s theme park that she had built to create jobs in that area, is located in Gatlinburg!!

Now, we know that Dollyworld wasn’t around in the ‘20s when Emmett was still human and living in the area, but (and yes, it is mentioned that he technically ~never looked back~ but that doesn’t matter because this is a headcanon) if you read the post above (how many times am I gonna repeat that phrase lol) I lay out why I think he would still have a soft spot for his hometown and, specifically, the music icon popular of that region, who is also from Tennessee herself!!

Other points worth mentioning: He’s from the back country, and because I think he’s a country boy, he would just enjoy some actually good country music. Srsly, how can one not like her music anyway??????? 

So to finish off this little bullet list.... Anon, do you not think Tennessee is in the South???? It is Or were you not aware of his Tennessean roots??? Not saying that to be mean, but ya know. Worth asking.

Now, onto Jasper.

As we have previously established, Jasper ain’t the only Southern gentleman in the Cullen Clan. 

Here is where I delve into canon (or at least, what ik from canon). We know from his anecdote that he relayed to Bella in Eclipse about the newborn army he trained that once he got turned, he was really out of it in terms of keeping up with the human world. His world was just violence and pain and conquering until he left and met Alice. From what I interpreted, Jasper still hasn’t really kept up with human affairs. I mean, okay yeah, it says in the Guide that he has a degree in history, so he went to college and knows some things (which is really fucking ironic when you think about how he was so proud of being a major in the Confed army but anyways), but he seems to just check out when it come to like... pop culture, you know? Idk about y’all, but to me, he doesn’t really seem like someone who would care about all the different kinds of music out there, so it seems like a stretch to me that he would zoom in on Mrs. Parton. Maybe he does keep up, I haven’t really read Midnight Sun so maybe I’m wrong, but to me, it just doesn’t seem like he’d be into a particular artist. That may be because I just write him off as some boring and racist character so I don’t give enough shits to breathe any life into him fanon-wise, but hey, if y’all are into that, I ain’t stopping you. 

I think the reason that ppl tend to get confused about this is that Jasper had the opportunity to relegate his backstory for plot driven reasons, and Emmett didn’t. Jasper talking about his human life really cemented in the minds of readers that he is From The South, but if Emmett somehow got to talk about anything beyond getting mauled by a grizzly (another mistake on smeyer’s part - grizzlies are out West, not in Appalachia), I think readers would also associate him as being from the rural South too. But because his backstory is only really recounted in his wiki and The Guide, it’s not the most well-known aspect of his identity. 

I feel like the majority of ppl that assume Jasper would be the one to like Dolly, and also just country music in general, is because they’re operating on the assumption that being from the South = good enough reasoning for a character to like country music, which can be kind of reductive but hey. And because fandom only thinks it’s Jasper who’s Southern and they skip over Emmett and Alice (I will give credit where credit is due - I know there was someone on here who made a country music playlist based off of those three’s Southern origins, but I can’t remember who it was unfortunately), he tends to get assigned those headcanons. Ig he does retain that Texan style a bit so it wouldn’t be a huge stretch if he liked country but anyways.

TLDR; To be blunt, it just makes more sense to me that the Tennessean whose hometown is literally where Dolly has her business would be a plausible Dolly Parton stan, not the aloof Texan who’d probably have some kind of vampiric seizure if he discovered that she supports BLM. 

Not to mention that I’m not the only one who thinks this.

4. What made you want to watch Promare? What drew you in?

I RLY WANTED TO SEE IT BC OF THE ANIMATION. i knew nothing abt it bc when i watched it barely anyone had seen it yet so id heard no spoilers, i just saw trailers and was going thru a real rough time so i was like fuck it im gonna drive literal hours and go watch it i need colors in my life it looks like it’ll be pretty even if it sucks. and then i watched it and whatever that post is that is im not the same person i was one movie ago

6. What is one of your favorite moments in the film?

so many i like :) kakusei lio though is like. gorgeous animation. makes me so emotional. theres SO many good parts about it like beyond the colors and like i said ANIMATION cannot stress this enough ANIMATION. i RLY love how promare combined the 2d and 3d like the 1st time i watched it i was kinda like huh some of this looks unfinished but i have grown to love it. i am appreciative. ANYWAY THERES SO MANY GOOD PARTS OF LIO DRAGON SCENE. KAKUSEI BLARING. GALOS “THAT FIRE... IS HE CRYING?” LIO IN GENERAL LIO. RAGGGRGG BARK BARK

7. What is the worst moment in the film? How’d you want it to change?

ok there was definitely more than one thing id change that would make the movie so much better but if we’re going by MOMENTS.. kind of hard for me to decide between surprise! burnish kray! or the promare leave. bc i think both of them like add onto triggers whole thing of ‘we will write this serious thing and then we wont actually think any part of our way of handling it in the last 3/4 of it through, or like, at all but especially that last part’ which is just. hrrghh. if i changed it kray would just have a gun and the promare wouldnt LEAVE. theyd just figure out a way to coexist. ive talked more extensively abt this i can write a whole thing. way to butcher your message trigger

ok well to be honest i cant rly think of any popular fandom opinion for promare i actually like, im sure theres smth we majority agree on but i cant think of anything rn. perhaps that we all seem to like thyma. i love thyma. also gueira and meis are married. idk if i ‘cant get enough of it’ i just think its true. amongst my mutuals tho trans galolio wins. is that an opinion or is it a fact ;)

WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO TAKE ON YOUR CURRENT MUSE ( THAT YOU ARE POSTING THIS ON ):  this is a multi so idk im just gonna tell you how i am usually inspired to write a muse in general ig???? if i feel like a character connects to me, not necessarily in a “i have a lot in common” with them way but in a “i feel like i get this character” kind of way, the door’s open for me. if i don’t get a character i don’t think i could write them in rp bc that’s a lot of dedication to knowing that muse inside and out. i have a love for every muse i write as a character and i’ve spent many many hours thinking about them and planning out my headcanons from their perspective.

WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE ASPECTS OF YOUR CURRENT MUSE: i think i did this once before and listed something for every single muse but i have like 20 now and i don’t know if it’s gonna be worth it, but i’ll try to make it short because idk how else to answer this. i love lorraine’s boldness, i love andy’s drive to succeed, i love that even though he’s an asshole herb has that inner morality he can’t shake even if he claims to, i love mira’s intelligence, i love jennifer’s self-confidence, i love ezra’s Secret Moral Goodness (tm) that he doesn’t want you to find out about, i love remembrance’s grit and easy determination, i love linda’s unapologetic attitude, i love jacob’s patience and kindness, i love lisbon’s strength and caring,  i love maude’s independence, i love ruby’s ability to keep living even in pain, i love johnny’s bounce-back nature, i love seaborne’s dedication to his work and passion, i love roach’s ability to just always have a good time, i love tommy’s dedication to making the world a better place, i love natsuki’s inherit strength managing to stay as kind as she has considering her home life, i love lucille’s unapologetic nature, and i love bunny’s innate cheer.

WHAT’S YOUR BIGGEST INSPIRATION WHEN IT COMES TO WRITING: real talk my writing was very much developed from adoring the work of my babe @cemonstre / @colorintrusion, all the way back in the day on her tiff tannen blog, i always felt her writing was so above me and the aesthetic was so beautiful and the phrasing was so perfect and i just wished i was even a fraction that good. i would never have worked so hard for the aesthetic my writing has, that i continue to strive for, without her, so i thank her v much for that !!! i would say my writing is defined by a present tense, by focusing on settings and scenes and physical descriptions- not enough to leave you reading paragraphs of description, just mentioning aspects of a scene that are enough to tell you the aesthetic of it without making you read about EVERYTHING. i love to use very conversational and straightforward terms and phrasing to describe how characters are thinking and feeling and juxtaposing it to very flowery scene and setting aesthetic descriptions. i also consider very IC dialogue to be a strong suit of mine most of the time. as far as actual inspiration goes, if i’m having trouble finding it for a muse i’ll watch some of their canon scenes, if applicable, or i’ll listen to their playlists, read past threads ive written w them that i loved, go thru their aesthetic tag, etc.

FAVORITE TYPES OF THREADS: i love me some angst and i also love me some storytelling ??? but everything doesn’t have to be plotted. i love my muses building relationships with other ppl’s, whatever sort those may be. ofc, fluff and unplotted, see-where-it-goes stuff is rad too. i just want to have fun.

BIGGEST STRUGGLE IN REGARDS TO YOUR CURRENT MUSE: i’ll tell you which muses of mine are hardest to write and why bc idk how else to respond to this in my situation: maude standish is pretty tough because she’s probably the only muse of mine who falls on the “evil” side of the character alignment. she’s not a good person and it’s tough to balance things she’s done that WERE good with that? and tough to keep up with her motivations and desires as a result because i relate to her the very least.  lisbon can be hard to write well because i feel like there;s stuff i don’t know about her, i need to do a mentalist rewatch but i haven’t had the time lol. but anyways, she’s often saying the opposite of the truth about herself bc she either doesn’t always know herself as well as she likes to imagine or she doesn’t want you to know her too well. and that can make it tough for me to feel as though i know if it’s accurate or not. remembrance is tough for the same reason- i love her but she tells me nothing. i feel like i know nothing about her and shes my hecking oc adhfkfhg jacob is also tough because he has a very specific dialogue style and i’d say  have the most trouble of all my muses, when it comes to dialogue, with his. it’s a fine line to walk his vocabulary and his old-english phrasing and also the very commonality and down to earth way of connecting he has. frankly, it’s often sort of beyond me. finally, mira can be tough to write because she’s Very Very Smart and im not so i feel like making her the way i did, i frankly i just played myself aldhfkfhg
