on my pinkorangebrown/big2 pedestal again but literally it hits such a spot, ppl always speak abt how pinkorangebrown can heal from the torment of spiky by experiencing real love and care thru big2 even when theyre not like, together togheter and just pining or even before that when they got to know each otehr, but we don't analyse enough how big2 is changed thru love as well cuz like her always changing etc etc... kinda showed she had issues with pinning down her own identity and feeling secure being Her self she was always changing appearances vibes partners etc... never finding equilibrium in herself. and to find someone she wanted, thru that she's also finding who SHE wants to be. like its that deep to me its not the curtains being blue cuz theyre blue her constant metamorphosis slowly halting once she gets attached to pinkorangebrown is so significant but its more sublte and thats smth i love abt the ship

Sweet G's

As the first local establishment in Thunder Bay visited, it was decided to be Sweet G's. I brought my friend Isaac with me. We both decided to get the Big2 which is has 2 Eggs, 2 Pieces of Bacon, 2 Sausages, and 2 finnish style pancakes. Isaac ordered some tea with his food, he wanted to figure out which tea brand would be served; it was Tetley. After around 10 minutes, we got our food. I got scrambled eggs while Isaac got his over-easy.

Isaac rated the food pretty well. The tea was solid. The bacon was perfectly cooked, with it crumbling in the mouth. For the pancakes he gave a good analogy, "The pancakes are really good, while homemade finn pancakes are really good, these are really good in a completely different way that I just can't describe"

The meals were well priced, they didn't take long, and were quite tasty. There is a cozy old fashioned feeling when having a brunch here.

I'll ask you, because you seem to understand more about the broader worm fandom than me: what the fuck even is a Spacebattles?

Like, I get that it's a web forum of some kind, but the worm community on Tumblr invokes it's name like some kind of dread monster. What's up with all that?

It's a (mostly) fanfiction forum that got (mostly) taken over by worm fanfiction readers/writers early on. The main reason it has the reputation it does is the userbase, which hevily skews towards a certain type of reader.

A lot of them got into it from HPMOR, others just coalesced there, but the general spirit of the site is heavily biased towards powerwank fics that ignore broad elements of characterization in favor of the characters acting (how they percieve to be) rationally at all times, either that or just picking one element of characterization and replacing their entire character with it. It's where a lot of character-destroying Taylor altpower fics originate from, it's where the Worm self-insert CYOAs came from, and it's where the accursed Greg Veder Gamer fics came from. There's still a lot of good stuff on it, and a ton of really good fics originated on Spacebattles, but there's a reason 'high-quality oc story - 1 comment, taylor altpower #999999 - 150 pages of comments' became a meme. By and large, if a fic is good, it gets crossposted to AO3.
